Prague To Detenice Medieval Castle, Brewery And Dinner Experience

What a great afternoon and evening! Our driver met us right on time in a very easy location (a tour bus stop). It was just my hubby and I, so I was a bit confused at first. I thought it would be a big group. About an hours drive from Prague and we arrived. We took the private castle tour with our guide (sorry, I did not catch her name., just us and her. She was very knowledgeable about the castle and all the artifacts within. It’s clear she cares about the building and its history. Then she took us over to the brewery to see the general history of beer making and taste the beer they make on site. Both light and dark beers are very good! A little while later, she left us in the care of an excellent waiter. Food and drink were plentiful and tasty. It was way more than we could eat . The various performers were excellent. We saw musicians, juggling, belly dancing, swords, a gymnast on a hanging ring and there were even some performers with fire. It was exhilarating and loud. Everyone seemed to be having a great time- even the waiters. It was just an awesome night!

This was fantastic - well worth the price and the ride out of town. The castle was much cooler and extensive than I had expected. The brewery was pretty fun to see - there’s a whole fun history of beer presentation that is worth seeing. Dinner was excellent and the beer was very good. And the entertainers were outstanding. The fire show was simply amazing - and so close! It was exhilarating. Our driver was on time, safe, and courteous. We talked about the area, history, culture, etc.

It was a great experience, with the castle tour, the delicious meal, and all the entertainment going on all evening!

This is a MUST experience when visiting Prague. Everything was amazing, the castle tour, the brewery and museum, we had luck to see a medieval market that day with people dressed as in the medieval times, all the atmosphere was just amazing. The food and drinks generous and delicious, all was great! Every person from the staff is very kind, it will be very difficult to forget this experience. Thanks!

Worth the visit. The tour was great, the show was entertaining although all in Czech - food was surprisingly good.

This was a really interesting experience, particularly if you speak Czech. Unfortunately, we do not. The pick up location instructions were very confusing and listed several different locations (Hilton Old Town, Metro station). The best directions are the specific latitude and longitude references. Fortunately, the driver called us and told us to meet him at Cyber Empire around the corner. It’s an hour drive out into the countryside to reach the chateau and restaurant. The tour guide at the beautiful chateau was very knowledgeable. She also conducted our tour of the brewery. The dinner show was conducted entirely in Czech so it was difficult to follow but the performers were very skilled and entertaining. Some of the skits were very funny even without understanding the language. The food was great and the beer was plentiful. At the end of the night the driver brought directly back to our Airbnb.

Brilliant tour. Driver was great taking us out and dropping us back. Castle is really cool and guide was superb. Show was great fun and didn't matter in Czech and food, beer and wine made a for a great evening.

We did not enjoy show. Could not understand. Driver should have picked us up at our hotel. Too far away from Prague.

Interesting multicultural experience as various travelers from all over the world see the same show…done entirely in the Czech language. The entertainment is as advertised (medieval tomfoolery)…the performances were very professional and realistic. The tour and the history of the small castle was thorough and interesting. Be prepared for a 60-90 minute drive from Prague to the venue.

My husband and I enjoyed the castle and brewery tours - and especially enjoyed the medieval meal. The selection of meat dish was too much for my husband to finish, but he thought all the meats were prepared perfectly. I also enjoyed the vegetarian meal. Although we couldn't understand what was being said, the entertainment was fun and we especially enjoyed the fire eating show. The only complaint we have was that the instructions for where to meet for the pick up could have been clearer (it isn't really near the Hilton Hotel, which threw us off).

The tour itself is very good; a quick tour of the castle and brewery. Followed by a show with good food and beer. The coach was very clean and modern. However, it would have benefited from a narration or tour guide providing highlight / details on the journey. As the journey was simply a coach ride with Czech pop music in the background.

So this tour is still fairly new, and admittedly, there are still some wrinkles for them to work out. That said, it was great. The castle isn't the sort of imposing granite castle like from Monty and the Holy Grail. It might be better to call it a palace or mansion? Regardless, it was an impressive building and the tour was definitely interesting. Lots of history, there. The dinner was great, and all the beer or wine you could drink (just remember, you've got an hour-long drive back to Prague afterwards). The beer itself isn't sold; it's brewed and sold exclusively for the restaurant. It was also pretty good beer, to boot. The show was great. A great mix, though unless you speak Czech, you're left to rely on the physical nature of it. I don't speak a lick of it and still enjoyed it.

(Peter drove us, Barbara gave us the tour) Amazing tour, great food, and INCREDIBLE show. My daughter was invited up to belly dance in one of the shows and it made her night! Very interactive, especially if you’re clearly enjoying the music and experience. We spoke English and still very much enjoyed it, despite not understanding the language. The acting and music was awesome! Very, very worth the price. They even sent us away with their own special beers, 1.5 liters each! (Light and dark)

Amazing Food and beer. Very nice Entertainment and tavern to eat. The tour was ok, not really a castle as most imagine it. The brewery tour was 1 little room but the beer we tasted was Nice!

Genuinely an amazing time for everyone. The castle tour was so lovely, our guide couldn't have been more friendly and informative of the history and the people. I had so much fun with the dinner, the performers were fantastic. They really do get everyone involved in the show. Need to experience it for yourself. The food was also above and beyond, had so much variety and was so full, did forget about the food at times just with how great the show was. Do recommend.

I took my business client for visitation of Detenice castle, brewery and medival pub. The castle is really beautiful and the interpretation was interesting and funny. Visitation of brewery was interactive and tasting of lacal beers excelent. In the evening we want to local medival pub. The food was delicious. Care of waitrees was really original, waiters spoke really fun medival language. The greatest experience was medival show with fire eater, jugglers, beautiful belly dancers and many others.

Had an incredible time on the Czech medieval experience. Our journey began with a comfy bus ride from Prague, complemented by an informative guide. Loved that we could touch historical artifacts in the castle. The medieval shows were lively and interactive - even danced on the tables! The food was tasty perfectly complementing the lively atmosphere. I highly recommend this immersive experience to all visiting Prague!

We booked this experience because we had a free evening in Prague and wanted to do something special. I am really glad we found this amazing combination of a trip out of Prague, tour of a wonderful castle with lovely interiors, visit of their own castle brewery and then the great fun of the medieval dinner show. All went smooth, the tourguide was really pleasant and spoke very good English, bus was comfortable and had a WC, which we appreciated especially after the unlimited drinks during the dinner :-D. Getting back to Prague at 10pm gave us even a chance to have a nice evening stroll after all the food we ate!

I was there with my husband. And we liked the atmosphere. The there was really cool, and the language of waitress and waiter is really unusual but fun. I reccoment the experience. And a nice bonus for beer lovers, they do their own beer!

Really interesting place in czech rep. 😃🤪 like from another time. It was fun and good food. Good service all inclusive - transfer from Prague and back. You need to try it too! 💯

We booked this experience with friends and really enjoyed it. The guide was very knowledgeable, the restaurant has very authentic atmosphere and from the entrance you feel as if you were in the medieval times. The food was great, and we really enjoyed the shows during the whole evening and even danced at the end with the performers. Recommend!

The trip was wonderful from start to finish. The transfer to this place was great. Start off with the tour of the castle with an amazing guide. It was very pleasurable experience. The medieval dinner show at the end was majestic. Definetely would recommend!

Feasting in a Medieval Tavern is truly an exceptional experience, and I recommend savoring it along with the other offered program (evening show, brewery tour, castle tour...). The service is top-notch, the show runs like clockwork, and the atmosphere is simply great. The food we had was predetermined as part of the voucher and met our expectations. I and my family, we enjoyed it very much!

This experience was beyond our expectations. Private transport, visit to the castle and brewery....and dinner show.....it was exceptional!!!! We highly recommend to all medieval lovers.
