Prague Private Custom Full-day Tour: Prague Castle And Old Town

My wife and I enjoyed a full day tour of Prague with Continental Travel. The guide was extremely knowledgable and accommodating and the driver professional and navigated the complex traffic patterns with ease. Having a car and driver allowed us to visit and explore all of the important sites without becoming exhausted.

Peter and Barbara were the WORST TOUR PEOPLE EVER! We are seasoned travelers, do a lot of city tours, had just had two in Budapest and Vienna that were wonderful full day tours. Barbara knew nothing. We drove along and the first things she wanted to show us was the view of the 4 neighborhoods. When asked why they decided to go together because she offered no information about anything, she said she thought the king thought it was a good idea? What king? I mentioned immediately that I expected a much more thorough description of everything we would be seeing and she told me she wasn't a historian, just a guide. We paid $1300 for this tour! I then called the company, hoping they could send us a better guide and the driver was the one who answered the phone. They told me everyone loved their tours and didn't understand what our problem was. At that point, I tried to find another tour for the afternoon. We stayed with the because we had limited time in Prague and felt something was better than nothing. We walked through the prague castle and she knew nothing more than what was on the signs and in some cases, less. The final straw was when we got the the Astrological clock, probably the most famous sight in all of Prague and she didn't know what the different circles were, including the astrological signs! I don't know how Viator has them on their list. I want a complete refund. I am so disappointed that we didn't get any information about anything we saw. We did fact check a few things she mentioned and she was wrong!! DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR!

Was a delightful trip !! Barbara our guide and Peter the driver Strived to please and made our tour memorable. There was never a “no” they truly did their best to accommodate our requests. Totally worth it !

I think the tour would be good but our guide was not. If someone wants all the facts of Prague in a day, she would be the right person. She thought we were terrible stopping for lunch and not learning more. She said 'I thought Americans didn't eat lunch'. I don't think anyone else was brave enough to insist. We were on vacation, not in her college class. We called her horrible Hannah. Peter, the driver was excellent!

We were highly disappointed in the tour today. We were expecting a tour deep in Czech history but instead the tour skimmed over the surface. We heard more about the American famous actors that stayed in hotels. I also expected the tour guide to have a plan of what we were going to see, basically an outline of the day, nope that didn’t happen either. When we entered the church at Prague Castle, the tour guide really did not say anything. I expected a tour guide to be excited and eager to share in your rich history. I had to ask her about certain statues but she kindly pointed out the floor was covered because of a concert and the had brought in extra chairs! At this point I asked her how long she had been a tour guide for and she stated many years. That is hard to believe. Here is another example of the tour - we are passing the st. Vitus mosaic and she stated that “those are a bunch of religious scriptures” WHAT!! That is the last judgement, that I later found out from the souvenir shop. We paid almost $1,000 for this tour and didn’t receive a knowledgeable tour guide of the Czech cultural or history. The car was poorly organized as well, we should not be waiting more than 5 minutes for the car to pick us up. And when we walked crossed the st. Charles bridge, which was great, but when we get to the end of the bridge and we are at an angle of the st Charles statue, she then says a short sentence or two about it! What - seriously this was the worst tour guide.

Barbara was really knowledgeable about all thing Prague. We saw a lot and learned a lot. She took us anywhere we wanted to see and showed us all of the must see places. We would highly recommended this tour!!!

Extensive and overall great you of the beautiful city of Prague. Our guid was very knowledgeable about the city and showed us incredible sights.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this tour. Our guide was not only lovely but she provided us with a wealth of knowledge and catered to what we were interested in seeing. It was definitely a highlight of our trip to Prague.

Hands down just amazing!!! From the moment I booked the communication with the Tour company was outstanding. Peter(the driver) picked me up at the airport and we drove to meet Kevin (the tour guide) at the castle. They both took the time to answer all my questions and explained the rich history of Prague. The tour was truly tailored for me (including the bathroom runs 😁). I 100% recommend Kevin and Peter. I was able to see alot in the little time I had available. So if you have limited time this is the way to go. One last thing as a solo female traveler safety is always a concern of mine, I felt safe at all times. P.S. Viator. Peter and Kevin are a power team!

This was the best day ever, the night before I arrived in Prague and was a bit overwhelmed as to how to fit everything into the next day. Then I stumbled across the tour packages of a personal tour, that I customize. I booked this tour 14 hours before I did it, they were very quick to respond and my best day ever would start the next morning. I should mention I am American, so of course I wanted to fit as much into my day as I could, I kept them running all day, but what they offered in experience was amazing!! We saw everything I wanted to, plus the Instagram blue gorilla!! My driver and guide made this day great. From the beginning I asked questions and was very intrigued by life in Prague. There was never a shortage of conversation. If I ever return to Prague I would want to spend the day with these folks, they were genuine and wanted me to get the most out of the tour. I must mention, the thing that sold me on this tour was the private tour of the library. It took my breath away and I felt as if I was walking through heaven. I just can’t say enough, splurge and do this!! You won’t regret it!!!

Excellent! The guide was very professional and made the full day tour fun for all of us. He took us the major sites on our own pace as well as best shopping areas.

My wife and I spent A wonderful day with our guide, Kevin. Kevin is a warm and generous person with a deep understanding of Prague. Our driver, Lucas was always on time and made the day effortless. A perfect day and go again without hesitation.

Kevin and the driver are very friendly and they try to customize our tour based on what we have already done. Kevin is knowledgeable about the Prague Castle and its surroundings. He is friendly and accommodating. We also like the visit at the Jewish Quarters and the Astronomical clock. The Mecedes Benz is very nice and comfortable. We would like to try local Czech food and he took us to a great place. Overall very good experience.

We had an amazing day thanks to our guide Kevin who was very knowledgeable on the history and its environment and to our driver Peter, which we must thank for suggesting lunch at the Bellavista, the food was exquisite and the view wonderful. A little anecdote : they heard my parents speak about The Jesus of Prague and to our surprise they took us there. My parents were extremely happy and I was very impressed that they went the extra mile to make this great day absolutely amazing.

Kevin was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. He tailored the whole tour to our interests. We had a great driver (Lucas?) and a very nice (air conditioned!) car for the tour. Highly recommended, especially if you only have one day. This is the way to spend it.

We were two couples over age 60 and opted for this full day tour 99AM-5PM), We all enjoyed the tour. The driver took us to the Prague Castle to start and it was downhill (literally down the hill ) from there. The guide was knowledgeable. The only customization we requested was to exclude the Jewish material since we were doing the 3-hour Jewish heritage tour the next day. The guide was easy to understand and the trip well paced. At the end of the day our phones and Fitbits told us that we had gone over 20,000 steps so wear your best walking shoes.

Our guide, Hana Kornecka, was wonderful. We had a wonderful day in Prague because of Hana’s willingness to listen to our interest and adapt her plans to fit our interest. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants a knowledgeable, friendly, and flexible guide to show them not only the iconic Prague sites but also the less familiar sites that are of interest to them.

Lucei was amazing as the tour guide and Paul as the driver. She was exceptionally knowledgeable, took our lead on what we wanted to discuss and how much time we wanted to spend at each locations. We would highly recommend this tour and absolutely loved, loved, our time with the team. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide, Barbara, is very knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the history of Prague. It was very impressive and a lot of fun. The Mercedes van was great as it was very hot and the A/C was needed. It had a lot of room for our party of 4. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Prague who wants a comprehensive tour of Prague.

We had the wonderful tour guide Lucie Loukotova and our trusty driver David! If you have one day in Prague - I would highly recommend this one. Lucie was a wealth of information and provided wonderful experience in touring the Prague Castle, the Jewish District, Church of Sts Cyril & Methodius, and Wenceslas Square. She customized our tour to our interests & was so accommodating in making last minute swap outs. Lucie gave a wonderful historical and personal perspective of the art seen throughout Prague; as well as sharing her personal life in the Czech Republic. It really brought a personal touch we really enjoyed. She was amazing, thoughtful and clearly well verse! And David - How he was able to navigate all of Prague without a GPS is beyond me! He clearly knew his city well. The van was clean, well air-conditioned and stock piled with bottle water for us. This dynamic duo is not to be passed up!

Barbara, our tour guide and Mark, our driver did a wonderful job of showing us the city of Prague. They met us ON TIME at our hotel and we were treated like royalty. Mark had a newer model large Mercedes Benz sedan which was roomy and very comfortable.We asked for a few special stops due to our particular interests such as the TV tower and they were happy to accommodate us. We chose the option of just having a group of 2 persons (me and my wife).....a little pricey but well worth it so you can see thing and enjoy the history at your own pace and not at the pace of 10 others. we highly recommend the tour......you will be even more happy if Barbara is your guide and Mark is you driver.

Vit worked closely with us to make the most of our limited time in Prague. We gave him some input about what our priorities were and he suggested sites that were closely situated so that we made efficient use of our time. Mark, our driver, picked us up at our hotel as scheduled. Marianne, our tour guide, was very informative and highly knowledgeable and was able to give us a clear overview of the historical points of interest. In addition to a tour of the Lobkowicz Palace, we gained admittance to a private classical music concert on site that was first rate! The cafe at the Palace offered a good meal at a great value. Marianne's shopping tips and souvenir suggestions were much appreciated. The Charles River Bridge, Old Town, Lennon Wall were among the other places we visited. Vit went out of his way to offer us personalized service. All communications were answered promptly and courteously. The overall tour was very comprehensive; we felt we got a lot for the price. Would highly recommend Continental Travel!

Hannah was our guide for the private custom full-day tour of Prague. Honestly, I think we underpaid for the tour! Hannah was incredible, we learned so much and got to see everything we wanted and more! Hannah was a wonderful teacher and expert guide.

<p>Very thorough tour with lots of interesting info on politics, history, economy, culture, geography, etc. Our guide Belasz (?sp) was very well informed and fun to be with and our driver Muchael did a fine job. Just a the thing for an introductory tour of Budapest.</p>
