His passion for Prague and its history really shone through, and he had a wonderful way of making the tour both educational and entertaining. We learned so much while having a great time!

Honza was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The whole family enjoyed the tour. He went out of his way to make the tour the highlight of our trip to Prague.
We booked this tour for our first day in Prague, and it was the perfect way to start our stay. The route covers New Town, Old Town, the Jewish Quarter and the Astronomical Clock. You’ll see the big sights. But the real value is Honza. He brings the history to life, adds color and perspective, and helps you understand the culture and community behind what you’re looking at. He also takes you off the beaten path. One of my favorite stops was the Franciscan Gardens, a remarkably peaceful spot just steps from the busy streets. We’d never have found it on our own. If you’re deciding which walking tour to book, book this one, and do it early in your trip. Ask for Honza.
So much great information Our guide was so knowledgeable we ran over time by a little bit She could answer every question in depth
We really enjoyed our tour with Leo. He had lots of fun stories and information to share with the group. He tailored the time to our needs, and answered all of our questions. Highly recommend.
Honza gave us a very nice tour with history, perspectives, stop for coffee, and humor. We enjoyed it.
My husband and I located the guide with the lime green umbrella about 6 minutes before the scheduled tour. He was talking with 2 or 3 other participants. At 3 minutes before the scheduled start of the tour I had found the tickets on my phone, looked up, and the guide with the lime green umbrella was gone. We looked everywhere for him, but gave up and visited several places in Old Town on our own and paying separate entrance fees. Oh, well!
This is the perfect way to start your first time in Prague. Our tour guide Honza was interesting, passionate, insightful and funny with a very thorough, sensitive prospective on the history of the city and country. The cultural, religious, historical, social overview is a solid 10/10. Big thanks Honza.
This was a great tour! The guide was great.
Of the 6+ tours I took in Prague this was by far the best. Honza was very informative and engaging. If there was any tour you could start with this is the one to begin your trip in Prague.
Great information of the old city. Nice paced walk. You are standing and walking 3 hours straight, so if that’s an issue, think about it. Highly recommend. Our guide Michal was wonderful! Had an amazing time.
Honza gave us fantastic tour of Pragues Old Town, New Town and Jewish Quarter. He was so incredibly friendly, engaging and highly educated in Czech history. He shared so much information and ut was the small details that made the experience stand out. Seeing the Astonomical Clock and the many churches with Honza was perfect. Highly recommend.
If you are visiting Prague, you have to tour with Honza. He took us through the Old Town, New Yown, and the Jewish Quarter, including the famous Astronomical Clock. Honda is friendly and deeply knowledgeable about his country's history. His engaging storytelling and attention to detail made the history come alive. We left the tour knowing significantly more about Prague than when we started. We felt as if we made a new friend. Thank you Honza for an amazing experience.
I cannot say enough about Honda (Jack). Hands down the best tour guide we have ever had. His historical knowledge and method of delivery were superb. I learned more in hours spent with him about the history of Czech than I could have learned my reading volumes of books. He kept the pace perfect so as to not feel like walking for 3 hours. Combined history, culture and architecture into a great historical story line. Top notch…
Honza did a phenomenal job not just showing us around town but also explaining the significance of everything in a very interesting engaging way.
Leo is an excellent guide. Great information provided with interesting insights. Tour was very well covered. Lots of history. Highly recommend him .
Leo was an excellent guide. He stopped at many spots throughout Prague in Old Town, New Town, and the Jewish Quarter. Leo gave a history lesson of Prague with each stop describing the many buildings or streets along the way. He is very passionate about what he does!
Our tour guide was walking fast ahead of us and did not really explain where we were. He was hard to understand and gave comments about politics and religion that may come out disrespectful to travelers. He should know that travelers may have different beliefs. He also did not know where we can use a restroom nor recommended any restaurants. Compared to other guides that we’ve had in our other trips, this was a poor experience.
Michal was fantastic! He was so knowledgable about a wide bredth of things all related to the tour, history and Prauge....even plants. He was easy to understand and kept things moving.
We really enjoyed this tour. Anna did a great job explaining everything about the area and the history.
We had the amazing good fortune to have Honza all to ourselves when our group tour ended up only being my husband and I. What an engaging, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and generous guide. Exceptional job sharing the history of Prague and giving us details we would have missed on our own. Really appreciated that he had photos and map images to reference along the way. Also shared current local culture, food tips and more. Can’t thank you enough Honza!
Jack was our guide. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the information. We learned so much about the history of the area and the people. He made the tour so interesting and was considerate of our comfort and time. In our view, he is a positive resource to the tour industry in Prague. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and works highly recommend it.
Our guide Michal took us on a tour of the old city and Jewish quarter. The group size was small, he spoke great English and really knew his subject material. He took us through the history of the area, the buildings, the architecture. A much better way than just walking around yourself without any reference to the things around you. I’d highly recommend this tour
Leo was an excellent tour guide! Very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions! Great way to see the city!
Leo was great - very knowledgable and funny. The tour was interesting. Recommend going up the astronomical clock.
Honza was a fantastic guide who was very knowledgeable on Prague and its history and highly intelligent on Czech and its history
I wish I could remember the name of our guide so we could recommend. It was great! We went in February & ended up having a private tour
A great overview of key elements of Prague’s history, architecture, social evolution, and much more. While tailoring the tour to my particular interests and questions, Jack followed the route to ensure we covered the key elements that make Prague such a special city. He created a memorable experience, filled with the appropriate nuance and cultural awareness befitting such an historic and complex culture. The tour covers a lot of ground - physically, historically, culturally, sociologically, and much more.
Nice way to learn about the city, we explored new town and old town the Jewish quarter. If you like history this is a great way to learn about Prague.
This was a great tour. It’s the perfect amount of time to learn about these parts of the city. Petra was our guide, and she made the experience fun, memorable, and personal. Thanks Petra!
Our guide was very good and spoke great English. Gave a great history. Love Prague and the weather was perfect.
Our guide’s knowledge was incredible! It was a memorable tour despite the rain! It was definitely not to miss!
An excellent tour. Michal was extremely knowledgeable, his English was perfect and he was able to answer all of our questions. The tour showed us many places that we would not have found ourselves. We learnt so much about the history of Prague. Thoroughly recommend.
I did this tour with my husband and we both loved it. Michal was a mine of information and interesting stories, and he presented everything with passion and enthusiasm. He showed us all the regular sites as well as some hidden gems and supplemented this with maps, and pictures. It was an excellent introduction to Prague and I learnt so much about its recent and past history and culture. If you are looking for a tour to do this would be an excellent choice and we both thoroughly recommend it and Michal.
The history and engaging tour guide made this part of Prague come alive. We now have a much better appreciation for that community went through over the centuries.
Just perfect. We only had a day to see Prague and of course it wasn’t enough. But the tours we did with Explore Prague gave us a great introduction to the city, its history and the culture. Our guide Jack did a wonderful job and I recommend him if you get the chance. Thanks Jack for a fantastic day in Prague.
Guide was super knowledgeable and had great communication skills. We truly enjoyed his knowledge of history and the little extra tidbits and stories he would throw in.
Leo, our tour guide, was very informative and funny. It was a lot of walking, but he paced it well and provided historical information from several different eras clearly.
Our guide Anna was so funny and informative. She answered all questions and really shared excellent insights about the Czech people and Prague.
Jack gave us a wonderful tour. Marilyn walks with a cane and has a hard time keeping up. Jack kept a wonderful pace and answered all of our questions as we went along. He is very knowledgeable and at the same time very patient.
Great walking tour, the new town and old town was explained and the Jewish quarter. Anna was so informative and it really made us familiar with the area.
Jack (Honsa) was great; friendly, engaging, knowledgeable. His pictures gave life and perspective to our time
We rushed from one synagogue to the other. Very interesting, but crowded and hot. The old cemetery was particularly moving.
Our guide Honza was very knowledgeable and gave a great overview of the history of Prague. Showed us some places not seen in most tours
Honza our guide was very knowledgeable and showed us places that other tours don’t cover He gave us a great overall history of the country. Would recommend Honza to others
Our guide Anna was lovely and full of information. We learned a little about Czech history . Easy walking getting to see a lot of main tourist sights downtoqn
Honza is simply amazing. Superb English, very knowledgeable in history and culture, not only about Prague but also about the world. We were super lucky, the trip became a private tour for 2 of us, as the others did not turn up. The walk was so interesting and easy, it totally did not feel like 3 hours has gone by.
Absolute must when you are in Prauge. Jewish Quarter has chaned over the years and without a guide there is no way to understand the history. One of the best tours I have had. Lots of insight into the history of not only Prauge, but the Czech Republic.
Anna was very well informed and the tour was very interesting and gave us an in depth insight into the city’s history
Of the three city tours we have taken on this trip, this was the most expensive & least informative tbh. There were several spots we saw we wouldnt have seen on our own & he explained the history of the city. However there were buildings he didnt really mention or give any insight to them. Nice guide and was happy to answer our questions.
