tkur guide, Honza had great knowledge of the history about the castle at Cesty Krumlov and more broadly. Information was provided very timely as to what we would be doing and when .

Group was made up of very mixed age group and the weather was bad. Guide did a great job trying to not only made it on time to the boat but also taking care of everyone's needs. The tour provides a great insight into the city especially for first timer. Highly recommend the tour.
Amazing, the tour guide was beyond amazing :) great tour. Great price!!! I would do it again. Thank you
Excellent tour and Stepan was a brilliant guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely recommend to any friends and family visiting Prague.
The tour was relatively good but quite distracting when we had booked an English tour but our tour guide had to keep switching between English and German. He took us to some great places though.
This tour was ok. It was very quick overview of the city with most being in the bus or boat. I wish we spent more time learning about the city, origins or history of Prague but the guide was overly focused on managing to her schedule
Great tour of a wonderfully beautiful Prague, a lot seen and learned in one day. Sofie was nice and attentive. Highly recommended!
The tour was great and our guide was friendly, informative and happy to answer questions. We visited many places and had a short river cruise. It gave me the opportunity to see around the city and find places I wanted to go back and explore by myself. Thank you
The half day tour was fantastic. Beginning with our tour guide, who was so knowledgeable and personable. He was attentive to us and answered all our questions. The tour started on a comfortable bus, as we drove through Old and New Town. We then went to Prague Castle, with a thorough guided tour along the grounds and the houses below. We met back with the driver and continued through town to the waters edge. The river tour was peaceful and educational. The river tour was just under an hour. The tour then continued on foot through the Jewish Quarter to Old Town. I highly recommend it.
Very good tour for information and history. Combination of bus, boat and walking. We thought walking would be short, but it was almost 2 hours. It was necessary to see the castle, old town and Jewish quarters. But people with mobility issues may find it tiring, even though walking is mostly flat. Our guides were very patient and walked at a slow pace to accommodate everyone. We saw almost everything important.
Excellent value for money. If you do one tour whilst in Prague do this one. We did this tour on our first day and it gave us a great insight to Prague before exploring on our own. As it happened we were the only 2 people booked on the tour and we were very grateful that it still went ahead, which basically meant we had a private tour with Lucy our amazing guide.
We booked this tour wanting an over view of Prague and to see the main sights but nothing too in depth. At the meeting point we were driven to the castle which is just stunning and had an hour maybe more there with a brief history and a visit to a chocolate shop on one of Prague’s prettiest streets. It was then back in the mini van for a short drive to the river where we had an hours boat cruise. Food and drink were available to buy and you could sit upstairs on the top deck. It was only straight up and back down the river but it was fun and you got to see the bridges and castle. From there we walked to the old town square, to the clock and to the maze of streets. Our guide Sophie handled the mix of visitors well and put some guests in their place let’s say! The history content and length were just right and we had a really enjoyable few hours
I would highly recommend this tour, our guide Veronica was brilliant. It’s one thing to see the sights but invaluable to hear the many stories, legends, and history behind them. She made our tour very enjoyable. Andrew & Carolina
It was excellent history and information. Any other sites you see or visit, you can say, "Yes, I was aware of that." Wear comfy shoes. Don't forget that there is also a cruise, so you get to see everything by land and sea. LOL
Great tour of Prague. Tour included mini-bus ride to Castle with descriptions of sites along the way. Received overview of castle while walking around. Picked up for short ride for hour river ride. Afterwards walked through Jewish quarters before ending at Astronomical Clock. Great use of 4 hours.
Excellent Tour - Ladislaw is a very good guide. Very well organised Bus, walking & coach tour with ample opportunities to learn & take photos also ! I would certainly recommend!
This was a great 4 hr overview tour of Prague and river cruise. Our tour guide Ladislav Stoupa was wonderful. He provided both the historical information and also information regarding if we wanted more in depth time at any sites like the castle. On the river cruise we had reserved seating and table service for drinks and snacks . I would recommend taking this tour on your first full day in Prague so you can plan what places you want to revisit.
Professional guid, tour on an air conditioned bus to start off with that takes you to the Prague Castle, which saves you the hike up. Then a walking tour with time for pictures and our guid took photos for us at some spots. Then the bus takes you to the boat and you can enjoy the boat ride then you walk with the guid to the Astronomy click where the tour ends.
We enjoyed the bus tour of Prague. The boat tour was the highlight of the day. There was MUCH MORE walking required than we expected, at least 2 hours! The heat set a historical record but no way to predict that. If you are older, the walking required might make this an issue as it did for us. We are 82 and absolutely could not make the final 30 minutes.
Prague Half Day City Tour with Vltava River Cruise was great! I learned a lot of new information about the city. The tour gave me new ideas about places to explore more. Stepan was very knowledgeable and patient with everyone’s questions.
Good tour to take if your interested in seeing several of Prague's highlights while learning about some of the history in less than 4 hours and worth the price. Once the tour ended in Old Town, we were able to explore some other landmarks in the area very easily on our own.
It was a great experience. It was a very clear nice day a bit hot. The places were exactly what I wanted to see.?small group. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. Thanks
We signed up for an English tour and it was combined with a German tour. The guide would alternate talks so I missed much of what was said.
Tatiana was a lovely knowledgeable lady. Great small group tour. Would definitely recommend this tour
Great tour well scheduled with nice walks and beautiful sightseeing from the boat Special thanks to our guide Ladislav , very good in Italian
Great knowledge and able to share the knowledge in an engaging manner. Fabulous repository of historical information.
This tour combined a German speaking family (3) and American/Engilish speaking group (6). Tatiana tried to do a tour for both and they was unsuccessful. Many times she is speaking in English and passing by the sites and the German family missed out. Other times it was the other way around. Tatiana was trying to be helpful to anyone and everyone we ran into at the detriment and attention of the group she was leading. A lot of sites were mentioned without really showing where they were, and although it was part of the itinerary we never made it to the special clock together - we ended up going on our own and looked up the significance on Google. That’s not what we paid for. Lastly, she had plenty of political opinions that should not be part of the tour. Although the idea of this tour (bus up to the castle and down to the river, river cruise, and walking tour in the old town and square) is great, the execution was not there. Worth it if you have the right guide.
The tour includes a LOT of Prague, and it was great to see the castle, river cruise, Jewish quarter, old town square including the ringing of the astronomical clock all in one tour. Unfortunately we were rushed through most of the tour (aside from while on the boat), so even with several elderly people in our group of 9, we were practically running at times! Despite booking an English tour, our tour was half in Italian. We had 7 English speakers and 2 Italians, and the guide (who had lived in Italy) spent more time speaking with them than the rest of us. I am assuming the reason we were sprinting around Prague in the midday sun is because he had to repeat everything in two languages. Poor organization by the company maybe but really took away from the entire experience. The guide did not leave time for any kind of looking around or questions because he was in such a rush. He was often 10+ feet ahead of us!
Fun experience I really enjoyed the river ride. And the walking was easy to handle on my very aging feet and legs
An amazing experience — thanks to our guide, Stephen, who made it so special! Stephen was knowledgeable and professional. Nicely done!!
The term”then y you go downhill”…. doesn’t really tell it all. There are about 50 steps(stairs) that you have to go down. Just to be sure that you are physically fit. The whole walk at a very good clip…. Was about 3 miles! It was wonderful and very informative!
Excellent experience with our tour guide Stepan. We covered some amazing sights and our guide was very attentive and informative throughout. Boat cruise was very enjoyable too.
I arrived at 1:40pm for a 2pm tour, but could not find a group or a van or a marked meeting spot. The tour was supposed to be a 2-hour Prague tour in a minivan, plus a 1-hour river cruise. I booked this tour months ago and I had already paid for it. I was walking up and down a two block area looking for the van and any sign of a tour group. At 2:03pm, my phone rang and a female told me that they were waiting for me and asked me if I was coming. I told her that of course I was coming, but that I could not find them. She told me where they were, and I said that I was only a block away at the corner. She then told me that she could not wait for me and hung up. It was 2:04pm. I started to jog back toward where I thought she said that they were, and I saw a white minivan pulling away and turning the corner, but I could not run fast enough to catch it. Thus I completely missed the tour and was crushed. It was the only day that I had in Prague to do a tour. I feel that my money should be refunded for this.
Stepan was an outstanding guide for our first tour of Prague. He was extremely knowledgeable, very informative, and struck exactly the right balance: enough history and context to make the city come alive, without overwhelming us with too much detail. We covered an impressive amount in a short time, and he adapted easily to the group — going deeper when people wanted more background and keeping things lighter when that made sense. He was flexible, engaging, and clearly knows Prague exceptionally well. This was a great first tour for anyone just arriving in the city. I would highly recommend Stepan to anyone who wants an intelligent, well-paced, and highly informative introduction to Prague.
This tour felt rushed and was not specific enough to know what was included etc. Tour guide's english was not good and we spent the majority of our time trying to understand so it was mentally exausting.
This tour offers a vast view of Prague from many vista points and modes of transportation. We started by seeing the city from a comfortable van with a good amount of people in the group. Then, we walked to the surrounding areas of the castle and then to other interesting points that we revisited later. We ended with a relaxing ride on the River where we had our very own section of the boat. We ordered drinks and watched the city go by. Our tour guide was informative but a little impatient when guests asked questions. Her answers were biting and derisive- perhaps she thought she was being funny- but i noticed no one wanted to ask questions when prompted. Some of us joked that we didn’t want to get into trouble with her. This was unfortunate as I always enjoy meeting guides throughout my travels.
The guide was absolutely horrible- no excursion whatsoever- just listing what is on the right and left with throwing some names and dates. No history knowledge at all. Not fun either. Cruise was just boring - I don’t think we even went 300m, then turned back, probably the cheapest company was chosen. No value for money, chose the walking tours where you pay if you like the tour
The tour was informative. It would be best for the first of your trip. It would help you fine important attractions.
This tour was an enjoyable way to get a great overview of Prague. It’s a good mix of bus, walking, and boat ride. Our guide Stephan was very informative and the group size was perfect. It’s the perfect thing to do on your first day in Prague! Highly recommend!
This was an exceptional tour with fantastic views, a scenic boat excursion and walking historical landmarks while engaging a college level informational lecture on all aspects of the city of Prague. Thanks much for a great time!
There were so many places that this tour covered— it helped that my daughter and I had explored the castle complex and the 3 churches the day before because admittance is not included with this Viator tour! But the walks and the boat tour were amazing! I learned a lot about Prague and the historical sites!
Good tour but doesn't include admission to buildings at the casltle. Guide did a good job looking out for us.
Wonderful tour around the castle grounds with expert guide Tatyana. She was very enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable. After the walking you get to relax along the river for an hour with a drink. After this we walked through the Jewish Quarter before finally finishing the tour in the old square. Many thanks to all.
It was good, if a little rushed. I wanted more photo opportunities. The river cruise was the best part for me. Guide was very knowledgeable and multilingual.
Great guide. Not many on this tour and st the end, I was the only tourist left. It was like a private tour! Tour guide was VERY knowledgeable with a lot of history. Food not so good on the boat. I listened more to my “private” guide than I did to the speakers on the boat.
Excellent tour, just the right amount of walking, talking, guiding, being on the minibus and the boat. It was just perfect and our guide Jacob was superb. We both really enjoyed the trip and would throughly recommend to anyone.
My husband and I were looking forward to this tour as it was our first time in prague. The tour guide seemed nice but the information she shared was disappointing. It was delivered in a series of dates, which she appeared proud to know, but the information that went along with it was out of context. Defenestration was mentioned several times, again with little context. At the end of the four hours tour, I have gained very little knowledge about Prague. Additionally, I think that the guide needs some education about the Jewish culture, as she made several disparaging remarks about Jews. For example, “with Jews it’s all about the money”. When she mentioned famous people, she said: “Franz Kafka, he was Jewish, but just a little bit Jewish”. When we passed by a synagogue, she said “men and women can finally sit at the synagogue together” not knowing that it might be a reform synagogue and that in most Jewish synagogues in the world, this is still the tradition. The negative way she said it was hurtful. When she pointed out a plaque on the wall, she said “and they also write from right to left” again not in a nice way. I did tell her that Hebrew is not the only language read from right to left. All Semitic languages including Arabic are read in this manner. All in all, very little knowledges gained and overall disappointing attitude towards Jews. Guides should be neutral and respectful to all people and all religions. This was not the case.
Tour was supposed to be in English and was in both Languages Elisha and Getman. It detracted from the experience since the guide was rushing or not in view of the sites he was describing. We covered a lot of ground which was great, the cruise was nice. The descriptions the guide provided were factual but gave no deeper history or meaning.
Stefan was very knowledgeable of tge area & hidtory, his narration was interesting, & he was caring. Stefan seemed like a very nice man.
Viator is very professional operation. Our guide Stefan was knowledgeable and personable. We thoughtfully enjoyed our time. Highly recommend.
