Itinerary
Pass by the Convent of Saint Agnes of Bohemia, a 13th-century Gothic landmark, then glimpse the narrow alleys of Prague’s former Jewish Town, rich with centuries of history and hidden stories.
Settle into a café tucked inside the monastery grounds. Enjoy marinated cheese with fresh bread, and a craft beer or homemade lemonade to start. Old Prague doesn't get much more atmospheric than this.
An authentic family-run gingerbread store with its unique atmosphere and home-baked pastries, where you'll try a gingerbread pastry with walnuts and plum jam, a pastry with poppy-seeds, and a vanilla roll.
Stop by at this amazing bistro focused on Czech and Slovak mutual relations through... food! We will taste a classic Czech "open-faced" sandwiche with Pilsner beer or a classic Czechoslovakian, Kofola lemonade!
1000 years of architecture! See historical sites such as the Powder Tower dating back to the 15th century, Prague’s beautiful art-nouveau Municipal House, or the world’s first cubist building, House of the Black Madonna.
And it wouldn't be a proper Czech food tour without tasting the most popular pastry - koláč! Kolaches are world-known but we will take you to the Kolacherie bakery, with the best kolaches in town!
Pass by the Estates Theatre, famous for its close connection to Mozart, including the world premiere of Don Giovanni and several of the composer’s visits to Prague.
Visit one of Prague’s oldest and most iconic cafés, set in a beautiful Art Nouveau building, once frequented by famous intellectuals. Enjoy classic Czech dishes like svíčková, made with braised beef and bread dumplings, and goulash with dumplings, while sipping local craft lager beer, Moravian wine, or home-made lemonade. Finish with an apple strudel and custard dessert!

Marketa was a fabulous guide. The food and beer was of course amazing. But hearing about the traditions and the history of the food was also great. She even explained the history of some of the buildings we passed, and gave great recommendations for the rest of your stay. Highly recommend!
Helena was an amazing guide. The tour was so much more than food and drink. Helena went out of her way to get to know each person, their preferences etc. she answered every question our group asked across a wide range of topics. Helped us scout additional restaurants close to our accommodations and even helped me figure out how to purchase tickets for an upcoming football match. When I return to Prague Ild be tempted to go again if Helena was our guide.
Zach was phenomenal! Very funny and would give us historical facts as we were walking to different restaurants. It was like having two tours in one. 100% recommend
A very enjoyable tour, visiting a range of eateries/shops giving the opportunity to try a range of beers and foods. Our guide, Helena, was welcoming, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We were lucky to only have one other couple (and their son) on the tour so it felt very personal. We would thoroughly recommend it.
This was a very nice way to spend the day. Kate is an engaging and knowledgeable host with a great sense of humor. All the stops had sizeable portions and were delicious. I appreciated the education of traditional Czech foods and items.
What a fantastic tour today with our guide Eva. She was so friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about the city's history and food! A lovely lady. We had a great mix of people/groups on the tour, all interested in the history and food stories. There was more food and drink that we had realised in with the price of the ticket which was great value and so much so, that we didn't have dinner afterwards. The quality and variation of the food was fantastic and Eva's recommendations of local places were a lovely touch. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Thank you for a lovely afternoon
Marketa was fantastic and led us on an incredible tour! The perfect mix of food, history, and local culture at a relaxed pace, with plenty of delicious food and fascinating stories along the way. This was my first food tour, and it has officially become a must-do for every city I visit going forward. I’ll absolutely be prioritizing Food Europe on future trips! Beyond the food and history, Marketa took the time to understand our plans for the rest of the day and shared plenty of thoughtful recommendations. Her personal touch made all the difference and helped make our last day in Prague one we’ll never forget. If you’re visiting Prague, do yourself a favor and book this tour. You won’t regret it! Na zdraví! 🍻
This experience was awesome!! We stopped a 5 separate spots to try different foods, drinks and sweets all with a particular link to Czech culture. Our tour host Marketa (hopefully got that right) was superb - very knowledgeable and fun. She made everyone feel welcome All the food and drinks were tasty and well portioned Well done!!

I’ve done bike tours, walking tours, ghost tours, beer tours, but nothing beat this food and beer tour. I felt like a local while learning about the culture and chatting with others from all around the world. Our guide, Marketa, was amazing and cultivated a relaxing and inviting experience. Towards the end, we were given amazing recommendations for the rest of our trip, and now we are sitting at one of those locations, again, feeling like a local, and enjoying the city. Thank you, Marketa! Kafe & Hrnky is a great spot after walking around the castle!
Marketa was a great guide. She was so knowledgeable about the food, the Czech culture, the art and history. The food was fabulous, and the beer, or course excellent. The gingerbread store was adorable, the first stop with the bread and cheese might be my favorite- it’s hard to decide. I highly recommend this tour, and Marketa as a guide
I enjoyed the tour so much the first time I came to Prague, that I brought my partner the second time, nearly a year later. I had the same guide, Marketa, and she was grand both times! Personalized recommendations, great food, can't go wrong!
Best food & drink tour I’ve been on. Marketa was incredible! This was definitely worth the money. There’s SO much food, SO much beer, and SO much fun. I would not make lunch plans before or dinner plans after. Thanks so much, Marketa, for showing us the best of Prague!
Marketa was fabulous interactive, warm and fun. Fabulous tour spent eating our way through Prague a very enjoyable tour for all
Oliver was very informative and made great food choices. Very friendly. Also great tour of the city tourist cites
This is our 3rd Eating Tour in Europe with my family, really enjoyed it. Oliver the tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable, he also has a great sense of humour which made the tour really entertaining. Thank you Oliver 🙏🏻 will definitely be booking more Eating Europe Tours in the future, I highly recommend!
Oliver was fantastic. Great energy, knowledge and humor!
Terrific, fun, great food and Oliver is a great guide!
Good experience. Oliver was informative and helpful
Marketa was a fantastic guide. Learned a lot about Prague and their food. We had a lot of wonderful food and great drinks. Come hungry because there was so much to enjoy and she gave us great information and recommendations too!
While visiting Prague, we joined a culinary tour through Eating Europe that was so good that we ended up booking a second experience through them. Our second tour did not disappoint and was very complementary to the earlier one which was a dinner/walking tour of Prague at night. Our guide for the afternoon, Marketa, had us laughing throughout the hours that we spent with her. She clearly loves what she does and made it so enjoyable learning about the different sites that we visited. One of the things that we loved most, in addition to the delicious food, was how Marketa related the dishes that we were sampling to Czech culture and history. We learned about the region's wines and beer and had the chance to try each. The food pairings featured traditional fare that added to the entire experience and fun. This was also a wonderful chance to meet other travelers for an afternoon of comradery. We felt that the tour itself was a great value.
Marketa did a great job showing us the sights around Prague. She was a complete joy and was very thorough in how she explained each dish and gave us some ideas for next time.
This was our third Eating Europe tour and it was fantastic, as have been our previous tours. Milena was our guide in Prague, and she did a wonderful job weaving both the city’s history and delicious food together in the few hours we had. Absolutely recommend!!
Milena was our wonderful tour guide, she was warm, friendly, helpful and was able to answer all our questions throughout the tour. She made sure we all got to know each other, and we were a big group of 12 people, not an easy feat.
Our G adventures group walked us over to the meeting point which was about 20 min from our hotel, at St Agnes. It was good to hear some history as we were walking the tour sampling food, the guide Milena was good about that. I liked that we got to sit in a couple places like the St Agnes area & relax & eat and get to know each other. Didn’t like that some of what was described weren’t there like the brewery boat & cafe Louvre. Overall enjoyed it
Lots of food. You will be full. Very informativr, lots of stories made our tour come alive. Milena was the best guide, we LOVED her.
Helena was a delightful guide and very knowledgeable! We enjoyed all of the food and the history throughout the tour!
Helena was a fantastic guide and we tasted many delicious foods and learned quite a bit about the city too. Would highly recommend!
It was a great intro to Prague with great stories and food. Petra was amazing wealth of information and one of the best guides we’ve had. (And we’ve done several food tours) I would highly recommend.
Petra was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable. All of the food stops were great. The handheld sandwich was tasty. The final stop the beef meal was great and the strudel was amazing.
Marketa was an excellent guide. We enjoyed each stop. She made the tour relaxing and fun. We all enjoyed her knowledge, humor and getting to know her. Great food and experience
Margaret was amazing. She was super knowledgeable of Prague and gave us some amazing food and shop recommendations. Highly recommend this tour!
The tour was good but I was hoping there would be more walking and 'tastes' of different venues, and more conversations about the food culture in Budapest. We went to 4 venues and did a lot of sitting. Lots of food for the money but it was different than I expected. It was also very long, over 4 hours.
Zack was outstanding! Great tour, great history lessons. Highly recommend!
We had a fantastic food tour earlier today with Helena! All of the stops were delicious, and we really enjoyed the mix of savoury and sweet options. Our final “larger” stop was absolutely incredible, and the drinks along the way were amazing as well! Helena also shared lots of helpful information throughout the tour and was very open to answering all of our questions. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience really enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this tour!
Marketa was our wonderful guide. Extremely personable. The food experiences were so good and so appropriate for us. Appreciated all the small, out of the way food stops--the hidden gems -- the alley shortcuts.
A good selection of food and treats. Lots of food so don’t eat before you go. Also a selection of 2 drinks.
Come hungry! And leave Happy! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Zach and would recommend it to anyone who wants to eat authentic Czech food
Zack was an excellent guide that not only had detailed knowledge of food but history and politics aswell. Full points and can really recommend this tour
Zach was excellent. Easy going, very knowledgeable, and kind. The tasting itself was great, plenty of food and a good opportunity to try local Czech food and see some of the city.
Helen was a fantastic tour guide!! She took us to wonderful establishments that were frequented by locals rather than tourists - giving us a real taste of authentic Prague, and it was delicious!! From the pickled cheese, to the outstanding gelato, open-faced sandwiches, pastries, and goulash, everything was superb!! Helen even took us to a grocery store to show how us how Czechs shop for their food - it was very interesting!! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a true taste of Prague - whether starting out your trip trying new dishes, or as a finale to recap all the culinary delights the city has to offer!!
We met Marketa at a lovely, small restaurant by St. Agnes convent. Had our first bite to eat , a traditional cheese appetizer and drink. Then toured the adjacent museum. Continued on to a quaint gingerbread store. Was thrilled they had gluten free cookies. Next on to sample a traditional hand held sandwich. I was full by then. But we continued on to a bookstore store offering coffees and fruit, cheese sweet pastries. All of these places were within the cobblestone old town area. Final destination was the famous Louvre Cafe. Cafe was frequented by Einstein and Kafka. Here we had a choice of traditional entrees, drink and got to take our dessert to go. Marketa was wonderful. Our group was 7. Very friendly people. Apologize I can’t tell you the Czeck names of the food. Highly recommend this outing but come hungary.
Vojta was amazing, food was also amazing. Great experience
Vojta was amazing and funny! Gave us a quite amazing experience.
Vojta was a great guide who took us through 3 places to try some local foods and beer. More sit down meal style than tapas so plenty of food to eat
Vojta was such a great tour guide, he deserves a pay rise, spoke clearly and had very good information about each place we had went to 5 🌟
