Don't bother. The museum is just endless information boards to read. Nothing else. Spend your time in prague elsewhere. No worth the entrance fee. If you want to know the Czech history just google it.

Lenka was extremely knowledgeable with regards to the communist era and events. Highly recommended and the museum visit with Lenka's input really tied it all together.
Great museum, very informative, lot of posters, images and information to read. Regardless of your political views it is a good museum to visit
For Americans this is an enlightening exhibit. It covers the pre ww events that led to the adoption of communism. It is a different take on events ( i.e. not from an western Europe or American point of view.
Our tour guide had grown up under Communism. She told us personal stories about how her family and friends were affected by communism. We walked around Prague saw places significant to the events leading up to the Velvet Revolution: statues, death mask of a student who burned himself in protest, sculptures depicting how living under oppression destroys souls and spirit, brass commemorative plates on sidewalks in front of homes and businesses where a Jews were dragged out and taken to extermination camps. We returned to the Museum of Communism where we continued on our own to learn even more about how the Czech people suffered and gained freedom. This was time VERY well spent, and well worth the price. It should not be missed!
Took this tour with Lenka on our first day in Prague. Started off at the museum of communism and then followed by a walking tour around Prague seeing all the important sites of the city. Lenka was a wealth of information and truly gave us an in-depth view of the history of Prague and the Czech Republic. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide Lenka was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable about Prague and the Communist period. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I thought how could someone so young really know about Communism in Prague? But only after about 5 minutes it became clear that she knew the history. She wove in stories about her family during the time period which really made the tour interesting. Using the Museum of Communism provided excellent context to the tour, and then walking the streets of Prague really brought it all home. I can't say enough about Lenka and this tour. I learned so much!

Interesting but the admission is a bit expensive (390 czk), a lot of things to read so not very fun. A booklet in French is loaned for a deposit (which is returned afterward) at the entrance.
Very informative and lively. The explanations are in English. We wander around and measure the imprint of this period on today's society. The museum clearly displayed its bias 😉 Definitely a must-do for me.
Interesting, pity that there is no audio guide, leaving a small deposit, we no longer benefit from a "book" in French. Highly recommended
Nice museum, we learn a lot about the history of Prague and communism. A beautiful page of history that we discover in the rooms. We had fun as a couple, we spent a good hour and a half reading and learning the whole history of communism up to the present day...
Considering that the Czech Republic is a former communist country, this museum is absolutely essential in terms of history.
Historical insight into a period that is difficult for Prague residents to forget. Absolutely not to be missed
De-lu-den-te. Almost 70 years of Communism represented and summarized with some giantography and some objects ..
Very interesting, especially for young people who know little about the history of the twentieth century. It starts with the German invasion and then moves on to the Soviet occupation. Useful to understand that the Czechs, like on the other hand Poles, East Germans, Albanians have very few regrets about communism. Interesting would be, but unfortunately very difficult, the testimony of a North Korean.
The museum tells more extensively about the history of the Czech Republic with a focus on the communist years. Very interesting and formative for the boys too. To see. Duration about 2 hours.
The Museum of Communism in Prague presents in a very factual way the monstrosities carried out by the deadliest regime of the sad 20th century. Very nice museum to see.
Historically, it is a very beautiful museum but, you will have to understand and read Czech, Russian or English otherwise, just watch and make your own judgment. For our part, we do not regret this visit in the recent history of communism in Czechoslovakia. Do not judge, observe, read, reflect on and leave this place feeling like you have visited a particular place. LONG LIVE FREEDOM
