Danielle was a wonderful host and tour guide. We visited little local pubs that carried specific breweries and she educated us on the Czech styles of beer. It was a great walk into a non tourist area, so we kind of felt like locals. Highly recommend an afternoon with Danielle and Czech beers.

If you want a realy good beer experience then book. We had Thomas as our guide. He ons a micro brewery, Fracek, which has very nice beers but he also let tast otter beer in very local bars. If you like beer then this is a must.....
Would highly recommend the beer tour. Prague has some of the best beer and this was a fun way to try beer from local places with unique atmosphere. Through this tour we learned about some of the history and had the best guide. Shout out to Danielle for making the experience great
Excellent guide! She was very informative and helpful!
What a fun way to experience Prague! We started at the Kafka Metamorphosis statue, which is worth seeing all by itself. This is only the meeting point and not technically part of the tour, but if you can, get there in time to see it move on the hour. It makes for a pretty memorable place to begin a beer tour! Our guide, Danielle, was lovely and really made this experience special. Having lived in the Czech Republic for the past eight years, she has an interesting perspective on the things visitors often miss or simply don’t know to look for. Combine that with her knowledge of Czech beer, and you get so much more than someone leading you from one pub to another. I expected to taste some Czech beer, of course, but I didn’t expect to learn nearly as much as I did. Danielle shared so many fascinating facts about Czech beer culture, from the history of the first Pilsner to the different ways beer is poured and why those pours actually matter. She introduced us to details about beer that most people, including those of us who enjoy drinking it, probably never stop to think about. It was also obvious that Danielle has developed wonderful relationships with the pub owners and people working at the places she visits. You could see it the moment she walked through the door. People recognized her, faces lit up, and there seemed to be a smile waiting for her at every stop. That made us feel less like tourists being brought into a random bar and more like guests being introduced to places and people she genuinely knows and enjoys. One of my favorite things about the tour was visiting pubs we probably never would have discovered on our own. There is something completely different about being taken into a local pub with someone who can explain what you’re drinking, where it came from, and the traditions behind it rather than simply ordering a beer from a menu. The pacing was also perfect. We visited three different pubs and spent about an hour at each one. There was no rushing and definitely no feeling that we needed to “chug” our beer so we could move on to the next stop. We actually had time to taste and enjoy the beer, relax, ask questions, and talk to each other. And honestly, the people ended up being one of the best parts of the experience. Our group included people from Sweden, England, and several different states in the USA, and everyone was delightful. After the isolation so many of us experienced during the pandemic, there was something especially wonderful about sitting around a table with people from different places, sharing beers, laughing, talking, and getting to know one another. By the end of the evening, it felt much less like a group of strangers who had booked the same tour and much more like spending a few hours at the pub with new friends. If you’re picturing a beer tour where you race from bar to bar and drink as much as possible, this isn’t that, and I’m glad it isn’t. This is an experience for people who want to enjoy Czech beer, learn why it is such an important part of the culture, discover pubs they might otherwise miss, and have enough time at each stop to actually enjoy both the beer and the company. Come for the beer, but don’t be surprised if the conversation and the people end up being just as memorable. Danielle’s knowledge, personality, and genuine connection to the places she took us made this feel like an evening out with a local rather than simply another organized tour. I would absolutely recommend this experience, and if Danielle is your guide, you’re in excellent hands. Just show up ready to learn, laugh, meet some new people, and discover that there is apparently a lot more to pouring a beer than you ever realized!
Gezellige tijd gehad, mooie tour.
This is a fun experience! I recommend it heartily! It’s easy to find the meeting place by the Rotating Head!
Lovely guide (Danielle), great beer and a nice crowd. a great way to see parts of Prague a bit off the tourist tracks. Warmly recommend it!
Great guide, knowledgeable and charismatic. Loved the beer and company!! Danielle was great!! Highly recommend!!
Thomas was knowledgeable and also did an excellent job of encouraging interactions among the participants (3 groups who didn’t know each other) while making sure we learned about czeck beers and the beer houses we visited. My only suggestion to make it better would be to have had the tour in old town or lesser town since it seems more visitors stay there or spend time there than new town.
Ton of fun! Good tour with a fun vibe.
Had an awesome experience with my wife and one other guest James. Daniellle was our guide and she was amazing.we visited three pubs had some great beers and friendly conversation. It was like we had been friends for years. Highly recommend this tour!!!
danielle was absolutely wonderful! so knowledgeable! it was a fabulous afternoon!
Great experience. Danielle knows her stuff and she shared valuable information to help us learn about the culture and the history.
I was so happy with the variety of pubs and restaurants we visited. And thanks to our great guide, Danielle!!
Booked it for me & hubby, who says he found it interesting to experience traditional Czech beer in local bars that the locals actually own and go to. We had several stops in our tour and tasted great locally brewed non-commercial beer. Lucas was a great guide with tons of knowledge about beer. Would book again, and highly recommend
We had so much fun and the pubs were great. Great beer and great company!
A wonderful beer tour hosted by Danielle, which took us to some differing types of Bars in Prague. Danielle was very knowledgable on the process of making beer and the differing types, including taking us to different types of Bars which added to the experience. Our tour mixed very well to such an extent that most of us went out for a bite to eat after the tour had completed. One of our group doesn't usually drink beer however tried a few different types and enjoyed them. Danielle was a great host
Absolutely amazing experience!!! It was only a small group but Danielle, our guide, made it feel like we were just out for a drink with friends. Great conversation mixed in with some really interesting facts about Czech brewing culture and the beers we were drinking. Highly recommended!!!
Our guide, Danielle, knew the beer history very well and had good local knowledge. It was a good introduction to beer drinking in Prague for us
Danielle was an excellent guide taking us to 3 watering holes I otherwise would not have found. The beers we got to try were really enjoyable and Danielle did a great job in talking through the ins and outs of the Prague Craft Beer scene.
Danielle was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and a joy to be with. We also had a great group of people which helped!
Pavel was an awesome guide, very down to earth and knowledgeable of beer. His choices of beer were excellent and the pubs were very unique. Good beer, good times, good conversation. I highly recommend this tour to anyone for a different change of pace and the ability to get into the culture of Czech!
Funn and great experience and great with friends
It was ok. Good knowledge. Great okei
Our guide was a fantastic! The best part was getting out of the immediate central Prague area and having the chance to see other parts of the city we would never have visited. The small group experience allowed to the conversation to flow from beer into other topics giving our group a better feel for the Prague culture. Well worth the price.
Incredible experience. Learned so much
The tour was amazing. I was suggested by a friend who did it 3 years ago. It was a great way to learn about Prague’s beer history and how it all started, how things have evolved and where it is now. Got a great opportunity to taste the first pilsner and type of beers! Lukas is very knowledgeable and personable, a great guide! Definitely will be recommending to friends if they ever come to Prague! 10/10
We had a great tour of Prague and it's breweries and bars. Our guide Lukas was very friendly and knowledgeable. We all had a fantastic time and he matched the energy of the group as the afternoon turned to evening. We got to see and learn about beautiful sites across Prague and (more importantly) drink lots of fantastic beers! Highly recommend the tour, thanks Lukas!
Couldn’t recommend this tour enough. Our tour guide Lukas was amazing, very friendly and knowledgable. If you’re going to Prague and you want to see the sights, learn some history and drink some great beers then you have to go here.
10/10 tour with Lucas. Saw many sights in Prague that I otherwise would have missed had I not had the tour. We spent the day visiting various local breweries and had some fantastic beer. If you are interested in the history of Pragues beer, I dont think there are many more knowledgeable guides out there. Well worth the money!
Had a great time learning about the history of brewing in Prague and drinking beer. Lukas showed us lots of diferent interesting pubs
Such a fun tour! We went to pubs and restaurants where the "locals" hang out, away from the touristy Old Town square. Learned a lot about the history of Prague, the beer, and the food. And there were plenty of fun conversations with strangers on the tour that quickly became friends.
I had a great tour with Danielle tonight. She is so knowledgeable about Czech beers and Czech beer culture. I saw amazing Czech places I’d never have found on my own and tasted some incredible beers. The last dark one I tried was amazing. Thanks for being so welcoming, knowledgeable and entertaining. I’d recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in Czech beer and history and also anyone who wants to see real Czech places away from the touristy old town square.
I really enjoyed this tour and got to discover which types of Czech beer I enjoyed (I didn't realize you can get dark lagers, thought they only were light). We got to try some more traditional locations and also some newer places. Our guide, Lukas, shared some wonderful history and information about Czech. He also did a bit of a walking tour for us as we went from location to location. We went to 4 locations and tried 5 different beers around Old Town, New Town and Lesser Town. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Tomas was a pleasure to explore different pubs with. While some places may cancel if people do not show, Tomas took just the two of us out to three different places to try different beers at each one. By the end of the tour it was like we were drinking with a good friend. He gave us tips of where else to go (and where not to go). He's an experienced brewer with great taste in beer and I'd 100% recommend this tour. The last stop has a great surprise and in my opinion, the best beer as well. Great vibes!
We had Tomáš as a guide, and it was just my girlfriend and me on the tour, so it was very private. This made for an intimate and casual tour, which was fantastic. Tomáš took us to a traditional hole-in-the-wall beer bar to learn more about Pilsner Urquell, then to a more traditional Czech beer hall (complete with authentic antique decor from the Austro-Hungarian era), and finally to a contemporary brewery outlet complete with craft brews from microbrewery Pivovar Fracek, which was a true highlight of the tour. Tomáš has a broad knowledge of Czech beer as well as beer from around the world. We also had a few lessons about Prague, the Czech Republic, and the Czech language, which was greatly appreciated. I'd recommend this to everyone who's curious about the beer culture in the CR. Tomáš was especially great, if you can get him as a guide.
We got confirmation of a meeting place and showed 30 minutes early. No one from Hidden Gems showed up. Was the tour cancelled? We will not know because we were never contacted about a cancellation.
Fun afternoon exploring small pubs with a local guide. No tourists spots!enjoyable reccommendations for authentic food too
Fantastic Tour! Danielle is great!!
guide was knowledgeable on Czech beer and the pub history. nice walk around town with additional history. all the beers were similar (lagers).
This is a small, intimate tour. My husband and I were with our guide Danielle and another couple. The tour stops at three local, non touristy establishments in the Old Town and we sampled completely different types of beer at each place. The last stop offered us the opportunity to purchase local cuisine (paid on our own) to accompany the tasty beer. Highly recommend as it is fun and educational.
Got email day before saying event maybe cancelled due to low attendance. Follow up email would follow several hours before event with an update. I was fine if it got cancelled. Never got an email the next day. I went to meeting place in case the tour was scheduled. Nobody showed at meeting point. I not sure if I was refunded yet. Fingers crossed.
Fun way to see local spots and the area. Although it was only our family, we enjoyed the experience and the insights our guide provided.
The tour was excellent, Danielle our host for the tour was fantastic and her knowledge of the beers and choices of venue selected was first class, and even got some additional history insights as we walked between the tasting venues. Definitely would recommend anyone doing this tour.
What a wonderful tour! We visited 3 excellent locations, 2 restaurants and a really cool beer bar (big shout out to BEER AND FRIENDS!). It was a great mix of traditional Czech beer and some really cool craft beers. The last stop had great beer and food. Daniell was a great tour guide and knew a great deal about the local and country wide brewing scene. Was a very fun experience!
Danielle was a fantastic guide! She shared helpful context and stories about Czech beer culture. We loved this tour and enjoyed trying different beers and learning a bit of Czech. Would highly recommend!
Loved Pavol and our new German friends. Very fun, very informative and he knows his beers! And. HBD to Henry the 18 year old! Enjoy!
