Excellent evening out. We laughed a lot. Amazing venue - small, intimate bunker with a cool bar. Great place not to be missed!
LOVED the vibes in the bar and in the comedy venue. All the hosts and bar tenders were very friendly Comedy was epic. Both comedians - Christina and Elena - were top notch.
Great comedy and engaged with the audience well. Had a good laugh and drinks provided were tasty too. Very happy with this experience
Awful. Unfunny. Left at the interval.
Really fun club on a Friday night. Good atmosphere. Some of the comics were great.
Fab evening out - great venue, helpful staff and funny improv... Going again!
Brilliant show, hilarious comedians defo worth the visit !
Great nite with fab comediennes Big audience and great fun Highly recommended
Disappointment all the way around. Wanted a break from the crowds and Old Town routine and thought a few laughs would be good — that is about all we got in two hours was, literally, maybe 3 laughs. The guy with the Canadian connection I don’t think knows what funny means, he really needs to get another job because torturing people from stage doesn’t do him well. Greg(?) the host for a little better has the night went on and maybe a few beers in him — but just enough to keep us awake. Joe(?), come on man, if you hate the USA that bad — stay in Berlin and don’t come back. Between the sweat and beating the bridge bit to death, I think everyone had enough. What cruise line do you work? Please tell us so we can stay off and not jump overboard. You said everyone was so drunk on the ships, maybe we know why! Can no one write a clever joke or twist on a phrase or idea anymore? Was really disappointed. The regular female was the best of the evening and the only one who really knew how to write or tell a joke. She was the funniest of the two hours— male or female (which ought to make her happy since she actually beat the guys). The best promise of the night was that I might have a second career in the future. I think my wife thinks I’m funnier than all this in the morning before I’ve even had my first cup of coffee . . . but then she hasn’t had her’s either! Anyway, really disappointed in the “talent” used loosely. They offered the first crowd to stay for the 9:00 pm show for free — which I’m going to guess is because they hadn’t sold enough or any tickets and were trying to put together a crowd. Even free couldn’t get us to stay. One enema a night is enough.
Expectations weren’t high, but the show turned out to be hilarious. The host and the other comedians interacted with the crowd which made the show more surprising. The price was very good and the show wasn’t too short or too long. The cellar where the show was held was very nice with the lighting and the sound system, but could’ve been more air conditioned. The smell there was a bit moldy and the air was somehow moist-ish. But all in all I recommend everyone to try this.
The show was very funny and made everyone feel welcomed without being corny.
Great fun - would definetely recommend
A good mix of comedy styles - something for everyone, good atmosphere and friendly vibe- would recommend.
A genuinely funny and entertaining show with a great atmosphere from start to finish. The comedian was engaging, the audience interaction was natural, and the jokes landed well throughout the evening. A perfect way to spend an evening in Prague. Recommended!
This was a fantastic fun night with an excellent line up. The score paper was so fun and it was great to see the two comedians improvise their humour at the end of the show. And the Scottish Mc lead the show! Brilliant laugh guys!
A great night's craic with an entertaining host, funny comedians and a special shout out to the main act- Granty, from Glasgow. We also enjoyed the unique venue too. See you in Belfast Granty!
We went to the Metro Comedy Club on Wed 16th July, 7pm. We had a great night. Special shout out to Gareth from Glasgow. He was very funny. Come to Belfast Gareth! Thanks also to the other comedians too.
Comedians were great! Definitely recommend for anyone even considering going!
Fantastic time with 6 different comics. Some were better than others but it was a great time anyways. Drinks were served to our table (first two rows) and the comics would interact with the crowd. Being Americans, we were easy targets but that added to the fun. The show was completely in English, and most of the comics were either Irish or American. Totally recommend.
Had a great experience at the metro comedy club. The bartender was excellent and the comedians had us laughing! Felt very authentic and a great time
Intimate setting. Great staff and fun evening.
The MC and a couple of the acts were great however, it was let down massively by drunken acts who were awful. One act contained two men, one of them being drunk to the point of almost being incomprehensible used the N word constantly with no context and were far from funny (the pair were black and it wasn’t racist but it was uncomfortable and OTT!). We almost walked out half way through this and called it a day, it was that bad! The MC, couple of acts and venue were good but for me, I wouldn’t recommend it based on the experience we had! At times it felt like an open mic experience that allowed the drunks to have a 10 min set to tell some poor jokes! Sadly, it didn’t meet any expectations - It wasn’t all bad but overall not great!
Great value! We had a fabulous time and most of the comedians made us laugh! The area is fun to explore as well. We ended up getting their early and found a place with live music. All in all we enjoyed our night!
Great venue & MC - & good value The first half comedians not great (seemed young & inexperienced) - but second half was excellent….clever quick witted & very funny Our evening proved memorable
Such a fun night, qwerky cool bar, great staff and delicious cocktails. The perfect hilarious evening! Lots of different comedians and a great host. Thanks so much.
Very enjoyable evening. Mix of stand up comics. One was really good, the others were enjoyable. Nice intimate atmosphere. Good entertainment for the price.
People making other people laugh is a tough job. These guys made us laugh.
The venue was great, and the show was pretty good - the MC was probably better than most of the actual stand ups they had on that night but it was an enjoyable evening, and worth the money.
Really good fun, it made us laugh the entire time.
Cool place and concept. Very big differenence in the quality of the performers. Some really good, others not so much.
It was my first experience about English comedy , from first seconds I had fun and bar stuff was so funny and nice , cocktails are good and tasty , specially I loved beers there,I came on Tuesday at open mic. so entered with ISIC for free , there was 2 -two hours shows, they were on english , as I understand in some days they have also on czech and Spanish languages ❤️Overall my experience was great 🫶🏼p.s there also bar doggy Chapo u can pet him and play with him 🐶
Fabulous historic cellar in Old Town. Features local and visiting comics. Someone for every taste
Great atmosphere. Fun inviting people the moment you walk in the door. The bar staff are great. There's usually a dog or two who wants to play with you. And the comedians are hilarious. I watched Meredith Clark win the Prague's Funniest contest, and I have to say, it was well-earned.
Nice bar, friendly welcoming people, it was more of an improv night which we weren't expecting we thought it was stand up comedy. But still nice couple of hours. Something different.
Steep spiral staircase down to bar and comedy room. Bar staff really good. Prices of drinks reasonable. Room gets warm in main area for show. Comedians mediocre. Compare was very funny and should of had main spot.
We went on a wednesday night and saw an Improvshow. We loved it! The place is really cozy and the show was hilarious!
Tremendous.Great bar and very funny host and comics. The two hours flew by.
Brilliant night of belly laughs
Booked this for myself and my husband while on our anniversary trip and wasn’t sure what to expect. Was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Great drinks and really funny! We would go back!
All the comedians were amazing, plus the staff service was amazing!!
Great night, with a variety of comedians. Bar prices were really cheap and spent the rest of the night in the bar upstairs as we were made to feel so welcomed. Would highly recommend
It was nice to learn about the history, culture & lifestyle of the locals.
huge selection of comedians for the open mic on tuesday, great host, good vibe, would go back for sure :)
For the price you can’t complain. It was a good experience. The venue is cramped but for £8 a ticket? You can’t expect a red carpet.
We had a great nightvat the comedy club. There is a cool bar area before the show starts and then you go to underground to the comedy area. We had a really good comedian and the other people in there were all friendly and up for a laugh. Drinks can be ordered from your table (delivered to you during the show) and are not too expensive.
This was an unexpected highlight of my trip! I read about the Metro Comedy Club on Tripadvisor and thought at the price it was well worth a go and I was not disappointed. It was laugh out loud loud good fun from start to finish - Grant as host was phenomenal and I could have listened and laughed to his jokes all night. The warm up acts were exceptional and just as funny as the headliners. The bar was flowing, then energy was high and the laughter was side splitting!
Cringy, intimate, and laugh out loud funny; amazing experience in the literal hole in the wall metro comedy club! A great mix of American, British, and local Czech comics. Enjoy tales about life in Czech, their love / hate for Prague, and a healthy dose of sex jokes. If you’re an English speaker, this is a must visit in Prague
Fantastic compare all comics so different with there take on past present topics some boundaries were pushed at time but all in laughter great venue holds around 30 -40 people . Staff really friendly ,would go again well done metro comedy club
Set in a cellar (spiral staircase) in tight rustic quarters. 20 comics from all over telling jokes. Some were good, some were first timers. They had 5 minutes to get the crowd laughing. The seating was tight and close to the stage. That provided a good intimate experience. The host Dominic was fun and made the room/people get involved. Overall a great time.
