They should know that it is very educational, there is a lot of walking and food options are limited in sundays but the guide is knowledgeable and flexible.

An excellent and very informative trip, our guide was very good and quite funny, only fault for us was the amount of walking involved over cobbled streets in kunta hura as my wife has slight mobility problems but saying that it was at a pace that was quite slow with plenty of breaks. A very picturesque town with a rich history , excellently explained by our guide. Highly recommend
Our local specialist, Helen was fantastic. Very knowledgeable. Our driver, George was also great. Although the day was enjoyable I found the bus ride to be very noisy and after spending a few hours on it, got a bit much. Helen was very knowledgeable; however with the noise of the bus I found I could hear about every 3-4 word Helen said, if I listened very carefully.
Very informative. Our guide Ava was extremely knowledgeable and welcoming. The town was lovely to have a little bit of lunch. It was just the right amount of time.
Very much impressed with our tour guide Helen, knowledge of the town’s history. It’s like stepping back in time with the cobble stones and narrow passage way. Definitely recommend this tour.
I could have booked a self guided tour, because it seemed like it (just a “tour guide” with us)- no earphone or anything to hear him talk, especially if you’re in a group of 18. Not even reminding us about the toilet with payment not until we get there. Not too good experienced with the tour guide. It could’ve been more exciting but not.
A great day! Vincent was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. He gave us some free time to explore each spot by ourselves and was an enthusiastic guide - always willing to answer questions and giving us lots of details about Kutná Hora and the surrounding area. We would have maybe liked a little longer at the first 2 stops, but the amount of time in the town made up for it. The bus was nice and comfortable and we were lucky enough to only be a small group of 6 - much easier for Vincent to keep track of! As we were lucky with the traffic, we got to visit another church before the ossuary, which was a lovely added bonus. The meeting point was nice and easy to find - if you book via Get Your Guide, you'll need to show your booking at the counter to get a paper ticket!
Fantastic day trip booked via GetYourGuide and provided by Sandemans. Brandon was our tour guide who is American but has lived in Prague for 12 years and is friendly, organised and knowledgeable.
Worthwhile trip. Got to know so much which we otherwise wouldn't. Helen is a good tour guide with clearly years if experience.
It’s a unique tour for sure. The church with s human bones preserved with dignity. Little long for my taste, relaxing though. The lady guide Vera was knowledgeable and pleasant.
Great places to visit but I would use a different company. We always use Viator and they have great vendors. However this was not a good experience. Guide was not helpful and the driver was just upset about something. They did not even want to bring us back to drop us whee they picked us from. They seemed upset about it.
We enjoyed our tour of Kutna Hora. Our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. St. Barbara's Cathedral was impressive. The Bone Church's Ossuary was weird, but interesting. The rennaissance-era Old Town Kutna Hora was fun to see.
Great tour and experience! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Czech Republic.
The guide spent WAY too much time standing in front of things and lecturing about them, which left little time to actually spend at the "attractions," i.e., cathedral and church/ossuary. I appreciate that he was well educated, but it was information overload and not the best use of time. It would have been nice to go in to the Italian Court/palace. Also, the trip advertised, "Capture eerie pictures in the bone church” but then we were informed we couldn't take pictures.
It is quite a way out of the city. Nice to see something of the country side. We did not see in the silver museum. That would have been interesting.
Good tour but needs about 10 min more at the ossuary and church. Felt very rushed. Prolonged time at the garden could definitely be a little shorter.
The bus picked us up promptly. The guide was very informative. It was disappointing that the bone church was under renovations but you could still appreciate the history.
Very good experience. Guide provided lots of information about what we saw. Bus was prompt. Sights were historical and interesting.
Honestly, was particularly disappointed. The vast majority of our group had taken tour to see Sedlec Ossuary. The guide was a lovely old guy but just wanted to talk about everything and it was simply too much. You don’t retain the information especially when you’re freezing. After a delayed arrival to the ossuary we were given like 5-10 minutes. Felt like an absolute blur and a waste of an opportunity. The rest of the tour we just wanted to see and take pics of the more interesting things but again while other groups were exploring we were Standing there listening to more and more waffle that became less and less interesting as we got to see less and less. Overall probably the most disappointing tour we had in Europe.
Relaxed tour to see some medieval architecture and good site seeing. The guide was good and the group tours are well managed
The bone church was much smaller in scale than expected. Visited two other churches, overall a very quiet little town but unremarkable. Ok for half day trip.
Great day trip from Prague. The bone church and Kutna Hora are definitely worth a visit if you have the time.
Beautiful town and church and our guide Helen was very knowledgeable and interesting. She was engaged with us
Would like to thanks our driver for the nice trip and he was a good guide to us He was explaining to us everything and he was so patient with us
Our guide Helen was wonderful. She was provided us with a lot of information about not only Kutna Hora but also about Prague that as a visitor we did not know.
The sites visited were all amazing - especially Sedlec which had been a “must see” for us. Downsides - it’s hard to find the pick up point. It’s not clear that you need to go to the yellow Prague City Tours booth to get on the tour - there was no Viator branding visible. The guide, whilst knowledgeable, talked so much that we felt we basically ran through some sites and we had almost no free time in Kutná Hora and only ten minutes at Sedlec. He also made some misogynistic jokes ie pointing at a fiat 500 and saying “that’s the perfect car for a woman to park because it’s small”
I really enjoyed this half day trip. As the guide told us, I would suggest eating something before the tour because there won’t be any chance to have lunch during it. Speaking of the attractions I think that the skull church is really worth a visit because is so unique and breathtaking. However keep in mind that pictures and videos are not allowed in this place. Saint Barbara’s church was also very beautiful, with a great ceiling and painted glass windows. Our guide also provided us with interesting notions not only about the places we were going to visit but also about Prague and the whole country.
Great day out of the huddle of Prague. Lots of history and wonderful stories. The time in the church with the bone chandelier was a bit too quick though.
Bus seats were uncomfortable and motor noise made hearing guide difficult. Enjoyed seeing the sights. You couldn’t take pictures in ossuary but you could take photos of pictures on walls which is just as good. Cute but sleepy little town. Had a good lasagna at the Italian restaurant during lunch break. Group of people was so big it made hearing the guide difficult.
This was a really nice day trip from Prague. Nice to get out to see the countryside and Kutna Hora is a peaceful village, the cathedral is beautiful and the bone church is very cool. Helen was an excellent guide.
Kutna Hora is a delightful town and our guide was very knowledgeable. The drive from Prague was about an hour in duration. We nearly missed the tour because our listed meeting location was vague, the operator name listed on our ticket was different than the name on the kiosk, and contact telephone number provided with our ticket was not in service. We luckily asked the bus driver for help and learned we happened to be in correct location. Advantage of booking ahead was assurance of tickets, but disadvantage is limited on-the-ground knowledge of specifics of who and where to meet. Arrive early and be prepared to ask numerous tour providers or people holding umbrellas to find your tour. Also be sure to have coins in local currency for access to toilets!
We had a lovely afternoon trip to Kutna Hora! Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared so much about the area, from Prague to Kutna Hora. We also had beautiful weather. Great partial day trip to get away from the city. Thanks so much!
Worst tour I ever took the guy rambled didn't seem to have a grasp the place the was not interesting big waste of time and money
The guide was excellent and provided lots of information. Maybe it should be mentioned that you cannot take photos in the Bone Church before anyone books the trip.
Lovely day out visiting the cathedral and the chapel of the bones. The town was quintessentially Czech and the nutty cake recommended by the guide was delightful
The guide was great and knowledgeable. The churches visited were interesting. It was nice to get out to the big city, however be aware that the ride from Prauge and back is through heavy traffic and will take you around 2 hours both ways. For me, this made for a long trip on a crowded bus. If you are only in the area for a short time, I would suggest exploring the palaces and churches in town. Fyi, photos in the bone church are strictly forbidden. If you're a photo freak like me, you will find this disappointing. Yes, we need to be respectful of the dead, but I'd rather be free to take my own photos than purchase photos already taken by someone else and sold at an upcharge in the gift shop.
This town, a short distance from Prague allows one to experience a train ride and such interesting sites such as the bone ossuary, a beautiful cathedral and a delicious lunch of wild boar goulash. This tour, however, included about 30 people which is too much for any guide to manage well.
Really enjoyed this day trip to kutna hora it was excellent especially loved seeing the bone church !!
It's a great experience with lady guide huluana ( sorry I might hve mispronounced) she is thorough with all the facts and figures. Her way of explaining the things is superb. Booking this tour through viator is super easy. The Barbara cathedral is awesome She is very humorous. , made our experience memorable. Place was awesome. Learnt a lot about it's history, especially silver mine.
Worth while trip. Place is worth seeing. Guide was good but information was delivered automatically but hard to gather it as the tone was so mono toned. maybe just a bit too much info crammed in.
I went to see the Church of. Ones but it was a tourist trap. They charge for everything-and won’t let you take pictures. No guide unless you pay for it. However the Saint Barbara Cathedral is spectacular and the town is super cute. Lots of tiny shops and cobblestone streets. The guide provided on the tour knew her information by rote but struggled with English to answer questions. I give this a1/2 rating as it wasn’t a waste of time, but less than spectacular.
This visit to the township of Kutna Hora was wonderful. Not only did we see the cathedral and the ossuary, we also gained an interesting explantation of who St Barbara was. And to the lives of the workers of Kutna Hora. And our lovely guide, Helene, kept us on time and engaged with the history. Just amazing 100% recommended.
Santa Barbara Cathedral was awesome! Some people might complain about Helen talking too much but I didn’t mind it at all. She’s a little bit on the older side so she was sharing some of her life philosophies here and there. It was a good group of about 30 people, no one got lost, no acted stupid, we all got along. As for the town, it’s so charming and so easy to walk around in. I’ll be back to spend a night taking my time with this beautiful place.
Like a few other reviews on here, I was at the designated spot 20 minutes before the start time with no tour van in sight. I waited an additional 45 minutes after the start time till I left. I had received no messages and no calls. I tried calling the number provided twice to which they did not pick up and I did not get a call back. This tour is a scam, and would not recommend in the slightest
Great trip, easy ride in and out and very knowledgable guide with beautiful views of Kutna Hora! Most enjoyed the ability to see some of the beutiful villages in Czech Republic!
Due to sudden illness we were not able to take this trip. We have left Prague. Please refund our charges. We were not able to reach your phone on the day of the tour. You did not answer. Will contact from USA if you do not respond. Please refund. Carol Hillman
Very knowledgeable tour guide. It was nice to have someone explain to us specific sites during the trip there and back. Her knowledge of the site and its history added an extra touch and made the trip very enjoyable.
Helen was such an informative guide! Loved listening from her. It takes up the full day so eat a good lunch before you go.
Great Tour, Great guide. She was very knowledgeable. Kutna Hora was very interesting to see. The village, Cathedral and Ossuary. Very glad we made the decision to go on this tour!
I only knew about the church with the bones, so I was really impressed learning the history of the town, seeing the Cathedral, and walking around the town! Loved it!
