I expected to enjoy the scenery of Chechia outside of Prague. Unfortunately, there wasn't much to see other than fields of agricultural cereals. It was disheartening to find out that when I had a question, the guide couldn't hear me, so the conversation was one sided through the microphone - one way. The visit to the Moser museum was disappointing. What I believe I read in the Viator's description was a visit to the crystal factory, instead the visit was to the museum of Moser crystal products and the history of the enterprise owned by the family of Moser. It was interesting, but I thought I would learn about how the crystal is being made, not the Moser crystal enterprise was created and thrived. À the end we were guided to the "sales gallery", where no one in our group purchased a single thing. The shop was designed for Rockefellers of this world, not ordinary tourists. The lunch was very good. We really enjoyed every dish on the menu. Cold Pilsner and white wine were great! The excursion through the city was very pleasant. The tour guide walked us through the hot springs and major architectural sights, including colonnades and the building that houses the large hot spring fountain. I called it "Old Faithful" of Karlovy Vary. What made me upset was the fact that nowhere in the tour description I could find the reference to the end of the tour timing. The only thing I could find was "Opening Hours from 9:00 to 17:00 hours". During the drive I asked the tour guide the following question "When are we coming back?" After consulting with the driver she answered 17:00 hours or 5 pm. I was happy to hear that because I purchased tickets to the classical concert in Prague at 18:00. At around 3 - 3:15 pm the guide told us that we/the group would have a free time until 4:30 pm. With disbelief I asked her how she planned to get us back to Prague by 5 pm, if we only were supposed to meet to go back to the bus at 4:30 pm. The answer was something like "we can't guarantee the exact time of return". I was upset, so was the rest of my family. We were looking forward to going to the concert that was taking place at the Klementinum Mirror Chapel. We had no choice, but walk around the town until 4:30 pm and miss the performance at 6 pm.

Itinerary
Karlovy Vary is the most famous Bohemian spa, and was named for the Holy Roman Emperor Charles (Karl) IV. The emperor allegedly found the springs in 1358 during a hunting expedition. In the 19th century, many famous people came here from all over Europe for treatment, including Goethe, Schiller, Beethoven, Chopin and Karl Marx. Upon your arrival in Karlovy Vary, you will visit a glass exhibition at the Moser factory. Then, as you stroll through the town along the spa colonnades, you will have a chance to sip the water from the mineral springs, taste delicious local wafers and the traditional herbal Becherovka liqueur.

Moser Factory Visit wasa bit boring as all we did was watching a video and browse the glass cabinet of glasses. Should consider cutting this to give more free time to browse around the beautiful town of Karlovy Vary. Lunch included in tour was delicious with choices of main course.
I wish I had read my own review before I booked this tour. Going o Karlovy Vary is a great day trip with the right tour guide. First off, whether English was our first language or our second, most of us if not all of us, could not understand the English of the tour guide. There was a construction issue as we went into Karlovy Vary, and there was much discussion about how to get into the town and then where to park. We wasted another 30 min! We then went to a glass factory, and it is one of those things like going to a rug factory in Turkey. We aren't going to buy glass that it likely more expensive than Chihuly, and the tour guide isn't going to get the anticipated bonus! A real waste of time! Let's talk about lunch. Supposedly, the designated restaurant never got our orders, and they were totally unprepared for our tour group, nor the other groups that were there. We wasted to much time there, plus the meal was mediocre. The town is beautiful, but this could have been a much better tour. I don't necessarily think it is the fault of Trip Advisor, but I thing that the tour guide could have been better chosen.
Visit to Karlovy Vary was very good. Our guide Vera was very knowledgeable. She speaks multiple languages so she was able to communicate with tourists from different countries. Bus was comfortable and lunch was delicious. Karlovy Vary is a very beautiful little town.
Was a somewhat disappointing experience. Most of the tour time was spent getting to the location. It was 2 hours each way. We only stopped for a restroom break - no time for a snack and we were vary curtly informed by the driver that no food or drinks were allowed on board the van. Glass tour was mostly watching a film. Lunch was OK. But what I really wanted to see was Karlovy Vary and we only had about 1.5 hours there. If you. really want to see Karlovy Vary consider renting a car and driving there.
Beautiful town to visit in Springtime when it's quiet. I can't comment on how busy it gets in the summer.
For the most part, we had a very nice day. Our guide (Sophia, I believe) was terrific, providing insights into the history of the country, region, city, and buildings. I'm sure some would rather skip the Moser museum, but we liked visiting it. The downsides were the lunch (it was not good) and that our driver at end of day was late and was not answering the phone. Minor panic when we wondered if we would have to find another way back to Prague. All was well in the end, and we would recommend the tour to others who want to have a small taste of Karlovy Vary. You'll want to come back for more at your leisure.
Karlovy Vary is a really beautiful place and it was nice to visit. Our guide Vera was very nice and told us a lot of interesting things. I had a wonderful time.
The tour was good. Karlovy Vary is beautiful and a great treat. I would the option to skip the glass tour and to lunch on your own. I felt like we missed many great local lunch options.
Helen was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable. The food at the restaurant was good as well. The driver drove crazy though. On the way home the driver got into road rage with another car! Also be sure you have your passport with you! There is really no time for shopping, maybe 10 minutes and you pass many shops you’d like to look in. We were tempted to stay and take train back.
Helen was a good guide..she told the story of history & places also had a goox tome management..Karlovy Vary is beautiful city. We have enough time to explore
Our tour guide did a great job introducing the history and culture of Kalovy Vary. However we did not get to visit the crystal factory as stated in the Rohr am. No explanation either.
The town was wonderful but the operator kept delaying us. We did not have lunch till 3:00 pm and she did not even bother to settle us while waiting for a stray family. Same in the return trip. Neither Viator Prague experiences were worth it.
It was a very good experience, so magical, and so many things to see. It was picturesque, spent a whole day there with lots of places to eat and drink.
This trip included lunch, which was terrible and unnecessary as there are plenty of other eateries. The audio system on the bus was faulty so we missed half the commentary. The town Karlovy Vary is a gem and well worth the visit with stunning architecture, a variety of spa waters at different temperatures to try, and of course the famous waffles.
Everything was well planned and managed. Guide was having all the knowledge about the places. The town itself was very beautiful and magical. Must go:
Very beautiful nature and architecture. Interesting story behind the establishment of the town. Sofia was an amazing guide.
Disappointed in the tour. We just traveled to Karlovy Vary had lunch two hours free time and traveled back
Karlovy Vary town is very pretty Enjoyed walking around and tasting the water from the various springs
The people who booked the tour for the same date as us have not arrived, so we ended up having a private tour. It was clear that our tour guide, Jelena, has very rich knowledge about the history of Prague and Czechia. Throughout the ride to Karlovy Vary she kept telling us about medieval history and about life in modern Czechia. The fist stop on the trip is the Moser glass factory - you will learn about the rich history of this facility, see their museum and browse the shop for items you wish to buy. The prices for most items are quite high, but there are still some which are affordable even if your salary is average. Though I wouldn't recommend buying there if you are flying home, as the glass is quite fragile. The second part, which comes after dinner is a tour of Karlovy Vary. We began with a wheeled tour, which wasn't great as we couldn't see (because of the minivan) most of the buildings our guide was telling about. Then came a guided tour through the colonades, this part was interesting and we enjoyed it. You also get a couple of hours on you own to explore the various shops and drink from the hot springs, this is a very nice opportunity to spend some unwanted money you have. All in all, this wasn't the highlight of our trip, but a very nice tour nonetheless.
As a frequent visitor to Prague, this was my first trip in private travel, and it was definitely worth as i travelled very comfortable with my own private driver.
A beautiful Spa town. Well worth a visit. We had a very good guided tour which finished with a lunch before we were given 3 hours to explore the place ourselves.
It was a wonderful trip and so much worthy for an exceptional experience. Lovely place for relaxation. Highly recommended.
The story of the Moser glass company was very interesting. The free time in town was really great to have. I would recommend taking the Diana funicular to get some amazing views over the town.
The city is amazing and a must visit. The tour was ok. I recommend using a another company or going on your own. Not enough time to explore on your own and you waste time at the crystal museum.
The guide was super nice and super insightful. Karlovy Vary is a beautiful place and learning some of its history from Helena was amazing. We only think a bit more English descriptions were needed. It was a Russian-English tour and we got a feeling at times that we did not get the same info. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Trip doesn't take longer than two hours by bus in one direction. First if all, it is worth that time spent in driving or traveling by bus. Karlove Vary are magnificent. Beautiful nature, great architecture, wellness and spa on each corner, and a lot of mineral water over there for using. Water has a lot of Sumpor, so be careful with amounts that you are willing to drink. It is not recommended too mach because it can send you to toilet instantly. I will mention Jan Becher museum of Becherovka and nice place near that has nice cakes and ice cream.
This was such a weird trip. We booked this tour with an English-speaking guide. 10 minutes after we departed from Prague, it suddenly dawned on us that this was going to be a bi-lingual tour - English + Russian! My guess is that perhaps the tours weren't full so they decided to combine both the English and Russian ones. That would have been fine, except that the guide seemed to have much more to say in Russian. The English-speaking tourists of the group, myself included, were often left feeling bewildered. The first stop was to Moser, the handmade glass factory and its sales gallery, as scheduled. The guide sort of dumped us there with very little explanation, so the whole group was kind of wandering around for about half an hour aimlessly before we were told to get back on the coach to get to our destination. After all the confusion, Karlovy Vary turned out to be well worth it. It's such a scenic and beautiful place. Once we got there, it was time for lunch. Even though it specifically states on the ticket that lunch is not included, we ended up having a cozy lunch at a local hotel - the only thing we had to pay was the drinks that we ordered. After lunch, we had about 3 hours of free time before making our way back. There was much to do. If you stay there for long enough, you can check yourself into one of the many spa hotels and sample their treatments. As it was only a day drip for us, we spent time sampling the spring water from various drinking fountains, riding the horse-drawn carriage and having afternoon tea outdoor. By and large, it was a relaxing day out. If the tour guide was more informative and enthusiastic, that would be icing on the cake. *Interesting tidbit: Daniel Craig's first James Bond movie, Casino Royale, was partially filmed on location in Karlovy Vary.
It was a lovely trip. Our guide was very helpful and had lots of knowledge to give us. It was a fun trip and not too tiring as well.
Went up close on the factory floor to see how they hand make glass for the rich and famous. Free time to walk around the town enjoying the beautiful architecture, the trendy and expensive shops, and the Victorian pavilions where you can sample the waters from different springs -- some hot, some cold, each with different mineral tastes. Especially enjoyed seeing the famous Pupp Hotel from the movie The Last Holiday with Queen Latifah.
Small bus, great! Tour guide, good! Minus the fact that the whole town is basically closed on the Monday (watch out when booking!!), there was honestly not much to do there when we got there. They should let you know when you’re booking or I hope you read this and not book for Monday’s. But overall, like this company so 4 stars :)
A day trip from Prague very well spent. We bought the return tickets a day ahead from bus station only 10 min walk from the hotel Grandior, where we stayed.

A little bit of confusion at the pick up since the instructions did not say to sign in at the booth that had the name of a different company and we were waiting for a bus to show up but other than that the tour was smooth. The tour guide was very interesting. The Moser factory tour was more interesting than most factory tours that these tours take you to and Karlovy Vary was stunning. After a guided tour of Karlovy Vary we had plenty of time to walk around ourselves and explore.

We spent a wonderful day in this city, great all in all! the scenery on the way to reach it was amazing as well.
Nice day to get out in the countryside. The glass blowing factory was great to see. Downtown was an easy walk with plenty of time to shop and have a great lunch. The driver and guide did a great job. Well worth the time and money. We highly recommend.

The glass factory was great to see. And the town has wonderful traditions. The tourguide was spectacular so knowledgeable. It was a great day

Really nice city. Lots of time to spend there, and learned quite a few things. Our guide, Sara, was super informative.

It was a disappointing trip, first of all , we went to Karlovy Vary by a small van which was not comfy for a long two hours trip , the van seats make you push your head forward which caused me a neck pain.
When we went to have a dinner in a hotel restaurant, the guide ,Sarah assured us that the 3 courses meal was vegetarian and Halal,no pork,no ham,no lard and no alcohol as I requested and asked and wrote in the form when I paid on line. We were 4 Muslim who do not eat pork and not drink alcohol and there were some other vegetarian. When I started to eat the starter which was a mushroom soup,I found small pieces of pork inside it, I took these pieces and showed them to the guide Sarah who confirmed and assured us that every thing was Halal before eating, she spoke to the waitress who was unwilling to help or change anything saying that this was the only starter they had, after many negotiations between Sarah and the manager they finally agreed to bring a salad instead it was cucumber and carrots which usually put to decorate the dish but not a salad dish. It was not tasty.
For the main dish I choose trout fish, the fish itself was very small like a sardine while they brought other guests a big trout which was strange ,as a restaurant they must offer all guests the same size and weight of trout fish.
For the dessert, the waitress said that the cake contains alcohol and they didn't have anything else, after a long discussion between Sarah, waitress and me they agreed to bring fruit. They brought for every one of us a very small kiwi which has been in the kitchen for ages, it was dry and not fresh. We refused to have them and asked for a hot drink instead. They refused at first and then they agreed. I felt that they treated us as beggars who asked for something which was not our rights as I paid like the others even more as I found that some people paid less than methey paid 54 Euro but they got more and I got less. These negotiations took time and we had just one hour and half for seeing that beautiful town which was not enough.
I was really upset and unhappy, I expected that the tour company will respect guest's requests.

This was a beautiful trip. The countryside kept our interest the whole trip and the sights we saw were amazing. The glassblowers were quite a treat. Karlovy Vary was extremely quaint.

Highly recommend this day trip. It was great to see the countryside after a few days in Prague. The tour of the Moser glass factory was interesting but the highlight was the beautiful, colouful buildings in Karlovy Vary itself.

Trip was well organised and comfortable. Karlovy Vary as city is interesting as an area is a bit similar with Monte Carlo.
It is good indeed once to see it

This was one of the best tours we have had over the years. The guide was knowledgeable and engaging. From the start we learned about Prague and the county history. The Moser factory was interesting and the lunch was tasty and filling.

Fantastic experience. What I would change is the guide. Our guide Vera was insipid and lacked the general skills expected of a guide.

Not worth this money. You can easily buy tickets for 4 passengers for 50.00 for comfortable busses and visit Moser factory and museum only for 20.00. So, the total amount for this trip will be around 70.00. thanks

This was a wonderful tour, our guide was at a certain age full of knowledge and joyful. I highly recommend this tour.

Please use another company! This was a horrible experience. The guide is very rude. All the way to and from he and the driver talked and laughed very loudly. At the glass factory the guide left us with no information to have his breakfast. Talked very disrespectfully to all tourists. Never again!

Plus:
- the Moser glass fabric
- the guided tour through Karlovy Vary
- the lunch
- 2 free hours to spend by ourselves

Minus:
- the trip to and from - pretty boring

Result:
Recommend to take this tour. It worth the money.

First, let me say the Moser glass factory was fantastic. We could have stayed there half the day. But I was not impressed with Karlovy Vary. Yes, it's a quaint town and if you're into taking the waters, by all means go. I'm not a fan of salty sulfurated water. The tour was comfortable The tour guide was absent minded and kind of all over the place. The food for lunch was horrible. I would have preferred a different trip.

Interesting day trip from Prague. Beautiful town.

Moser factory was ok. Cool to see how they made the crystallglasses

Karlovy Vary was beautiful! Nice to have time to ourselves.. Wish they did not have lunch included, as it would have been nicer to choose a cafe ourselves. and better use of our time.
Make sure you buy one of those cute little cup to drink from the mineralwater
