Not what I have expected - signed for English speaking tour but because it was more French speaking people on the tour it was 2/3 in French. Tour guide gave pretty limited information.

Itinerary
Your day begins with a convenient hotel pickup by our professional driver. After meeting your guide, you will travel comfortably to Karlovy Vary, the Czech Republic's most famous spa town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During the journey, your guide will introduce you to the fascinating history of Karlovy Vary, from its legendary founding by Emperor Charles IV to its rise as one of Europe's most prestigious spa destinations. You will learn about the city's famous mineral springs, elegant architecture, celebrated visitors, and unique traditions that have attracted guests from around the world for centuries. The drive also provides an excellent opportunity to learn more about the day's itinerary, ask questions, and gain insight into the landmarks you will visit. By the time you arrive in Karlovy Vary, you will already have a deeper understanding of the city and its remarkable cultural and historical significance.
Located in the historic spa center of Karlovy Vary, the Tourist Information Center on Lázeňská Street is situated just steps away from the city's most famous attractions, including the Mill Colonnade, Market Colonnade, and several renowned thermal springs. This area forms the heart of Karlovy Vary's spa district, where elegant 19th-century architecture, picturesque streets, and the town's unique spa atmosphere create an unforgettable first impression. From here, visitors can easily explore the city's rich history, cultural heritage, and world-famous mineral springs that have attracted guests from around the globe for centuries. Duration: Approximately 10 minutes for orientation and a brief introduction to Karlovy Vary.
The Hot Spring Colonnade is home to Karlovy Vary’s most famous thermal spring, the Vřídlo, which erupts from a depth of approximately 2,000 meters and reaches a height of up to 12 meters. The spring produces mineral-rich water with temperatures of up to 73°C (163°F), making it the hottest and most powerful spring in the city. The modern colonnade structure, completed in the 1970s, protects both visitors and the valuable spring system while providing easy access to several drinking fountains supplied by the thermal waters. For centuries, visitors have come to Karlovy Vary to experience the reputed healing properties of its mineral springs. Inside the colonnade, you can observe the impressive geyser-like eruption, sample the thermal water from different outlets, and learn about the role the springs have played in the city’s development as one of Europe’s leading spa destinations. This landmark remains the symbolic heart of Karlovy Vary and one of its most photographed attractions.
The Mill Colonnade is one of Karlovy Vary's most iconic landmarks and a masterpiece of Neo-Renaissance architecture. Designed by Czech architect Josef Zítek, who also co-designed Prague's National Theatre, the colonnade was completed in 1881 and remains a symbol of the city. Stretching more than 130 meters and supported by 124 elegant Corinthian columns, it shelters five of Karlovy Vary's famous mineral springs. Visitors can sample the thermal waters while admiring the impressive stone structure and the sculptures representing the twelve months of the year that decorate its roof. For more than a century, the Mill Colonnade has been a popular gathering place for spa guests and visitors from around the world. Its grand design, rich history, and setting along the Teplá River make it one of the city's most photographed attractions. Today, it remains an essential stop for anyone wishing to experience Karlovy Vary's spa culture and architectural heritage.
During your free time in Karlovy Vary, you can explore the charming historic center at your own pace, stroll along the elegant spa promenades, and admire the city's beautiful architecture. This is a perfect opportunity to sample the famous mineral springs using a traditional spa cup, browse local boutiques and souvenir shops, or relax in one of the many cafés overlooking the Teplá River. Visitors may also choose to visit the nearby Market Colonnade, Hot Spring Colonnade, or simply enjoy the unique atmosphere that has attracted guests from around the world for centuries. Be sure to try Karlovy Vary's famous spa wafers, known locally as oplátky, and don't miss the chance to purchase the renowned herbal liqueur Becherovka, one of the city's most famous products. Whether you prefer sightseeing, shopping, photography, or simply relaxing, Karlovy Vary offers something for everyone during this hour of free time.

The place was amazing. Tour lady Eva was nice. Only issue was the mini bus. Especially on the highway it was making a terrible noise.
Wonderful trip with very pleasant and knowledgeable tour guide Irdzi, he provided us with lots of interesting details about Karlie Vary history and famous visitors. Was very attentive to our special needs and desires. We will strongly recommend this trip!
Waste of money! Not just my opinion other group members felt exactly the same and will post same type review I had to give 1 out of 5 because 0 isn’t available! Horrible experience based in horrible service. The only positive was the pickup from hotel considering was an early morning departure Do yourself a favor and save yourself money and go by bus , because since this tour is just exactly that; just a bus trip to Karlovy Vary… only extremely expensive! The guide “ Andrej” or Ondrej didn’t explain absolutely anything. He answered one or two questions not even related to the trip! He was having fun with the driver not carrying about the group. The trip was supposed to last about 9 hours as it’s in the description They brought us back within 6 hours out of which 4 we were on the road! Included in the description were about 3 little tours with the guide who was supposed to explain about the place and about the springs each one lasting about one hour and then to have about an hour free time which means we should have spent 4 hours in Karlovy Vary between the three hour little guided tours and the extra one hour free time. He left us right away with one explanation only; to be back at the meeting point after exactly two hours on our own and then he kind of disappeared. So out of 4 hours we only had about 2 hours and few minutes to walk around. He wasn’t needed really but since we paid so much for a whole day trip we should have at least be left exploring on our own if he didn’t feel the need to actually explain for the entire time. It’s extremely convenient to go by bus just walk through beautiful Prague to Florenc Central Station and get on a bus back and forth to and from Karlovy Vary or if it’s hard to move around or not in the center just go by public transportation to Florenc . simple ,easy ,cheap!
Veronika Slavikova and her driver (sorry, I forgot his name!) were outstanding. Professional, friendly, courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, and flexible. Veronika shared fascinating history and facts with us, making our excursion to Karlovy Vary memorable and fun. When we arrived at our destination, she gave us a VIP tour and went out of her way to take us to the pool and thermal springs where we could swim. We were even provided water and drinks during the drive, and Veronika recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner when we were dropped off at our hotel. Take this tour with Veronika when you go to Prague!
Karlovy Vary is a beautiful, interesting spa town in Czech Republic. They say drinking the thermal mineral water in karlovy Vary is a recognized centuries-old healing practice. The tour is educational and a fun one.
Basically you were driven there - 2.15 minute drive. Given a short walking tour down the main streets and left to your own devices until pick up time.
Great guide, Veronika Slavikova! Terrible bus and bus driver!! The bus was uncomfortable, seats too close to each other, no recline, no foot rest, no utility table. No AC, no ventilation, because the driver didn't know how to turn on the fan, let alone the AC. The slowest vehicle on the road! It took about 3 hrs to get to Karlovy Vary, but since the return time wasn't changed, we lost about an hour of the tour.
Awful bus, worst driver, essentially lost one hour of the tour because the bus was slower than anything else on the road. It got to 26° inside because the driver didn't know how to turn on the air conditioning or even ventilation. The bus was most uncomfortable it was just five of us on a bus that holds probably 30 people if not more. seats very close to each other no foot rest, no table. Do not take this tour!
Driver refused to answer 2 questions I asked about number of travellers and ignored me. Surprised no return to my hotel.
Beautiful town, nice architecture, colorful buildings. Definitely take the funicular to the Diana Tower for a spectacular panorama view of the town.
Perfect place to walk solo wondering the area and the tour guide is very knowledgeable about the place they give us more time to explore the place on your own after a brief explanation about this wonderful place.
Excellent day - loved the balance of the tour provided (guide was very knowledgeable) and free time. Would highly recommend!
I really enjoyed my visit to Karlovy Vary, despite the rain! Our guide, Oleg, was excellent. He gave us lots of information en route and then guided our small group through the town, visiting various springs and pointing out film locations. Karlovy Vary is both walkable and very pretty . We were given the option - owing to the bad weather - of shortening our visit, but no one wanted to! I enjoyed wandering around, found a cosy café for lunch and bought a few mementos. The rain stopped eventually, making a walk by the river an attractive prospect! The driver very kindly dropped me off at my hotel as we were passing, although this wasn't included, unlike pickup. All in all - a lovely day ; I definitely recommend this trip.
Nice town did not expect to see such a wonderful sight pick up point was far from hotel even if they offer hotel pickup, you then find you have to walk for 25 min in out case, after I complained they picked us in a taxi, so well done.
The tour guide was very informative. He gave us a lot of information about Prague as we drove out of the city and then when we arrived at Kalovy Vari. We had plenty of time to drink from the different springs, stop in a Cafe for lunch, and also take in all of the historical town.
Driver left us off with a 22 minute walk back to our hotel when we returned to Prague. We expected as advertised to be returned to hotel where we were picked up
Great trip Efficient and timely pickup New comfortable vehicle Guide extremely knowledgeable on history
The original bus broke down so we have to wait for 30mins in the heat with no shades for the bus. When then new so called bus came, the seating is just terrible very narrow and not much leg room, more over the air conditioner weren't working properly. To be honest, there's nothing much the guide can do but he could have at least lighten the mood a bit.
Our Tour guide was lovely - personable, professional, informative and engaging. She gave us background info on Czechia during the bus ride as well as on a guided tour through this famous spa town. The bus driver was also excellent, manoeuvring through downtown Prague during “rush” hour like a pro. We would highly recommend this tour! Thank you.
It was amazing trip. The city was beautiful. I definitely recommended to visit The tour guide Valeria she’s amazing person. It was a pleasure to take a trip with her.
Disinterested tour guide couldn't be bothered with honoring the contract and dropping us off at our hotel. He said it was too far (15 minutes from where we were dropped off). Earlier, when he told me it was too far for him to drop me off, I mentioned that it would affect his tip. He said he didn't care. About sums it all up.
Martin was my Guaide very sweet man, it seems that I was the only one who signed up so he took me by myself more like a taxi Tour even though he was walking with me and was very nice to talk to him and here’s some stories about the place but that was it. I wasn’t offered any lunch, I was walking around with him and without him bought my own lunch and then we had back that wasit.
There was no trip, I got ready and scheduled my day and when I called the trip agency, they told me that there was no trip available for that day. Anyway, I got my money back, but lost the day
The trip is nice, what we did not like was the attitude of the guide and the fact she was not cooperative. The air conditioning in the van was not working, it was very hot, we were 6 passengers, we all complained but she said it was working perfectly…. After few minutes the AC was a bit better, the company and the staff should check very often if the quality of the vehicles offered is working properly. The worse was her attitude of denial something so obvious.
Karlovy vary town is very pretty. It is a full spa town with beautiful architecture and amazing views. I was picked up on time from my hotel. The journey is about 2 hours from Prague. After the driver/tour guide walked us through some parts of the town, we had about 2-2.5 hours to eat lunch, take a cable car up to the viewing tower, walk around the whole town and shop etc. It felt very rushed. Upon our request, our tour guide gave us an extra half an hour. The driver dropped us back in Prague, near the old town square and not at our respective hotels as mentioned in the booking. It was my first time in Prague so I kind of got lost and it took me a long time to find my way back to hotel. There were total 4 passengers including me and all our hotels were very close by. I don't know why he could not drop us at the hotels, it would have saved us a lot of headache.
Tour guide was good and knew a lot to share. Small group. Lunch i really recommend to skip though and eat at some local restaurant. Fantastic place, need to see definately.
The guide was very pro. Spoke English and Spanish fluently. Gave us time to talk and ask. The organizer responded very fast to my phonecall. On the way the guide told us many interesting facts.
Today my wife and I took a day trip from Prague to Karlovy Vary. I have booked it via Headout ( which wad a competitive offer) and booked the e-guild option. This morning , I tested the link i received from the person in the pickup location, and it turned out to be that it did not work . I have immediately been offered a free upgrade to a real tour guide . Eva, who was our group tour guide was wonderful . She is knowledgeable and very nice. We have followed Eva for about half of the day and then spent some time by ourselves . My take from this day trip is : With or without getting into one of the hot spas ( located in hotels ) Karlovy Vary has to offer , it is really a gem . The place is so beautiful . We took wonderful photos . As a bonus I have also learned that “Casino Royal” , the best Bond movie ( according to my opinion ) was filmed there ( check our the Pup hotel ) . A highly recommended day trip Eran
In general we enjoyed the tour We didn’t want to have the lunch that was included because in such a beautiful place it is unpleasant to have lunch in a restaurant that is in the basement of a building without view
Was in Prague from Nov 5-8 and decided to do this tour. We were a small group of 4, which was nice. Our tour guide Martin picked us up at our hotels, as we were leaving Prague, he would also provide some highlights and history. When we arrived in Karlovy Vary, he walked us around town and pointed out the most historical places, he also showed us the famous Grand Hotel Pupp, then we had time to walk the town in our own and then finished with a lunch. The lunch was not great, and the server was not very pleasant, but that is not the fault of the tour guide. Would recommend this tour
This is our opinion about the trip to Karlovy Vary, from the moment we were picked up from the hotel, the guide behaved impolitely and uncaringly and looked as if he had woken up from sleep, unshaven, looking dirty, later he picked up a family from another hotel and from that moment on all his translation was in Spanish since the other family was from Spain, we purchased an English speaking tour And not in Spanish, despite a request for an English translation, he did not address our request. In short, we felt like we were being driven by a taxi without guidance, we arrived at Kluviori, and then the guide told us where he would meet us and disappeared for several hours without the tours promised on the trip. In an attempt to convey the complaint to Viator, she shrugged it off and directed us to the operator. The payment and the order were Through Viator without any connection to the operator. We suggest checking and clarifying any purchase from Viator.
My whole family fell in love with this city. When we come again to Czech Republic, We will spend some days in Karlovy Vary.
Karlovy Vary is a small and beautiful town. But, in my opinion, it is NOT a must see place. It is okay even if you can’t visit this place, especially if you have spent some time in Prague. I would certainly recommend any one to spend a day more in the beautiful Prague than visiting Karlovy Vary where there is nothing much to see other than few Hotels, Spas and Shops.
The place was very beautiful. Interesting town to visit. The only flaw is the the guide. She is a disappointment as she did not care about her clients at all. She only talk to certain people in the group and left us without direction. Otherwise the town itself is very pretty with lots of story to tell.
We have just returned from excursion and we're so existed! We're so glad that while walking around Prague we saw a Best tour kiosk, where guy Tomash advised us this excursion. Many thanks to him and our guide Kamilla,it was so interesting, trip wasn't boring at all. And we managed to see during just one day the whole city center and bought souvenirs. Karlovy vary are marvelous, such a nice place for relaxing.
We had a very nice trip to Karlovy Vary. The city itself is definitelly worth visiting, and people from Best Tour were very friendly and helpful - thanx a lot!
We wish we knew about Film festival in Karlovy Vary at the time of booking. Town was overrun with film industry people, tents, vehacles ect. We virtually couldn't walk how crowed town was. Day was total waste! Our guide was OK, but we expected more info. We don't recommend this tour.

The tour guide , who joined the bus and remained texting for an hour before talking to us , provided almost no information about the city , it was of no difference , if we made it in our own by train. The name of tour guide , which we knew almost 2 hours through trip was Sabrina , she was more interested to understand about our culture rather than explain , I think she was under the impression that she was part of the tour herself , nit the tour guide. The quality of the food was very bad ... Value isn't for money at all

We love Karlovy Vary. It is beyond our expectation. Our guide, Mr. Yiri, is a wonderful person, and very patient too. Thank you.

Karlovy Vary is a beautiful place, but the Enterprise that made the tour is not good. The engine of the bus was very loud and if you were sitting in the seats half back, you could not hear the explanation of the guide. The guide was very bad-faced, without any desire or enthusiasm and with bad attitude as he was upset when we asked a question derived from his Spanish translation that was not very good. Even though we were a group of 10, he walked very fast without considering that there were seniors who walked a little slower. His tone of voice was monotonous and low and when he explained something to us, he turned his head constantly to point out the place (without having to) and we didn’t hear him and we missed part of the explanation every time he turned. It doesn't use a communication system so we can all hear it clearly. His explanation was very basic. The only good thing is that we had enough time to eat and tour Karlovy on our own.
It is a city that returns us to the 19th century, in which it combines a post-Victorian style with romanticism. A number of hotels and the attraction of testing thermal water in the different fountains and colonnades
Directamente, no se presentaron a recogernos en el punto de encuentro (Hotel NH Collection Praga - Carlos IV). Y eso después de haber madrugado el día 01 de enero expresamente para hacer esta excursión. ¡ De vergüenza !
Excellent tour. Oleg, our guide gave us a lot of information on the way to Karlovy Vary and in the city itself. Your explanations were very interesting. Fantastic work. Congratulations.
Very nice excursion, unfortunately the guide was very average or not good at all. He didn't feel like being there. The driver was excellent and should be the guide. Karlovy Vary was amazing and I am very happy to have visited it, not having been there would have been a loss for me
Visita que vale la pena si viajas a Praga. A tan solo hora y media. Ciudad con multitud de fuentes donde puedes probar su agua medicinal, aunque sabe a hierro
A nice tour, but with little flavor. It would be nice to have a little more time at Karlovy Vary and a better quality lunch. The very friendly guide and good driver.
At 1.5 to 2 hrs per vehicle or bus from Prague, Karlovy Vary is a beautiful but very small thermal village (14,000 inhabitants). It does not have structures of high historical relevance, nor access to thermal baths, but only some public watering holes that flow therapeutic thermal water with various mineral salts. We traveled using tripadvisor with an agency called Best Tours, which offered the destination for about 80 EUR p/p; the guide spoke relatively rudimentary and functional Spanish, limited to speech prepared for the few points of interest. Lunch, which was considered, was held in a restaurant where you are installed in a dark underground, and whose typical food was not well achieved, with meager pork portions and a completely caked rice. The visit concludes at 15.00 hrs to take us back to Prague when the review says the trip ends at 18.00. Non-refundable reservation, of course. In short, Karlovy Vary should not be a priority to visit in the Czech Republic, but I recommend planning a trip there only in case you have time to visit in this country; and, above all, know very well the conditions of the trips contracted in advance (which is not always easy). I strongly advise against the Best Tours agency, whose relationship between price and quality is absolutely jarring, as it has left us with an elegant sense of deception.
I had my reluctance to start the trip but really both Prague and the spa town of Karlovy vary left me pleasantly surprised for good I would return with my eyes closed. the hotel fantastic the staff both the hotel and restaurants great in short it has been a round trip
Worth knowing. The tour I booked however did not leave me entirely happy, as the guide spoke very bad English (the tour was not available in Spanish), which made it very difficult to understand what it told us and, most hours, what we had was free time.
