This was a good tour, tour guide was lovely and knowledgeable. Tried some interesting food which we would not otherwise have tried. I only wish there were more people on the tour being only my sister and I.

We had such a wonderful experience on our food tour in Prague! Our guide, Raphaël, was fantastic. He was prompt, kind, funny, and kept the tour moving at just the right pace. The food was delicious, and one of our favorite parts was visiting places we never would have discovered on our own. Each stop felt authentic and special, and Raphaël added so much to the experience by sharing the history and stories behind the city and its food. Prague is absolutely beautiful, but getting to explore it through great food, fascinating history, and a whole new group of friends made the experience even better. We ate very well, learned a lot, and had a fantastic time. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Prague. Come hungry and ready to make some new friends! 🍻🥨🇨🇿
Our guide was Andrijana, and she was excellent! She informed us of the food and also Prague history on our walk around the city. Excellent food experience!
Franz is an amazing guide. He made the evening so much fun. He is knowledgeable and really took interest in getting to know everyone.
So many amazing different types of food and some cool sights along the way. Franz was absolutely amazing!
It’s a wonderful way to discover the city and the food as well. Our guide knows his history and he’s so kind and generous it was a pleasure moment.
our guide Karel did a great job explaining the food and culture in prague. we had 3 tastings and a meal at Lokals. well worth it!
We had an awesome experience. Emilie was so sweet and the food we had was so delicious. Without the tour we never would have known the interesting background behind the dishes we had or the drinks. Emilie was very knowledgeable about everything. She had wonderful stories to share about the culture and how certain foods became a popular staple.
Overall, the tour was positive—it included several Czech staples that cannot be found elsewhere, and it was led by a personable and knowledgeable guide. Our party differed as to the quality of the restaurants visited (I liked the quality; my partner was not impressed), and the order of the stops didn’t make much sense—the stop with the main entrees occurred after stops featuring (or offering) dessert selections. Perhaps most problematic was that the final stop was far from the starting point, and the tour ended abruptly at that point, even though the tour documentation indicated that we’d be taken back to the starting point. While we appreciated experiencing the Prague Metro and a community we otherwise would not have visited, and while the tour guide assisted with the process of purchasing Metro passes for the return trip, we felt a bit abandoned.
The tour was very enjoyable and informative. Franz did an excellent job explaining the items and took to a few spots that weren’t part of the tour but provided a historical perspective. Very personable and would definitely recommend.
Good variety of Czeck food. Enjoyed that we were able to use the subway. Was able to experience food in the non tourist areas. We were a small group of 7 and enjoyed the company from other parts of the world.
What an awesome afternoon! Lots of tasty food we never would have known about had we not done this tour. You will definitely not leave hungry. Franz was a great educator as well as story teller and really made the tour exceed our expectations. Thanks Franz!
Franz, our guide, was wonderful. The locations that he chose for our tastings were great. Food and beer was fantastic. We would highly recommend this tour with Franz
Franz was an excellent food guide in Prague. He had great stories about each of the venues, the neighborhoods, and things to do in Prague. My tour included my 23 year old son and 19 year old daughter and Franz made great conversation with all of us. I would go back with Franz if my travels take me to Prague in the future and I highly recommend Franz as your next guide too!
Really excellent way to taste lots of different traditional dishes, explore off the beaten track of Prague and have a lot of fun (and food) while you’re at it. There were two of us and we booked for a Sunday evening tour (5pm - 8pm) as we reckoned we might not need dinner if we were doing this - we were right. Not everything is open on a Sunday but the guide found fantastic alternatives and we still had an incredible experience. Different food we tried (each bullet point was experienced at a different restaurant which we walked to) included: - Knedlin - Dumplings (the almost “arancini” style - but made with potato and flour and a huge number of different fillings flavours - savoury and sweet available) - Open sandwich - again several flavours to try from. Not the most overwhelming of dishes (and did make you start to worry as it’s the second dish of the tour and not the most ‘unusual’) but told this is definitely a traditional typical dish by a Prague resident. Still delicious. - Vetrnik - a small cream filled pastry topped with caramel. Perfect size for a food tour (totally delicious and I will definitely be seeking these out again the next time I’m in Prague). - Final destination - Prague “pub” style restaurant - tried local beer, and several different dishes - beef tartare, cooked meat with vegetable sauce and bread- style dumplings, sausage, pickled cheese - all completely delicious. Overall a fantastic tour with excellent value for money. Many thanks to our wonderful guide Joshan and our guide-in-training Linda. They are both so knowledgeable and fun with fantastic anecdotes and explanations of the food you are eating.
Food tour was very informative although the Czech food was quite basic, some of it was however very tasty - we returned to visit on our trip
Joshan was an excellent guide. We got to taste the wonderful flavors of Prague while learning about local history and culture. She brought her love of food to the tour and we had a wonderful time.
Amazing food tour so many different types of food to try and different locations. Joe the tour guide was wonderful and full of information and helpful.
Our guide really knew his stuff. We learned all about how the plague affected Prague over the centuries. We got some other helpful tips as well
What a fabulous evening we had! Jan was very knowledgeable about traditional Czech cuisine and showed us some lovely venues in Prague
Wow! Joshan is great! A super star! We had the best food tour experience ever! Being a wonderful tour guide is Joshan’s super power! We ate well, learned a lot and experienced Prague! This was one of the best food tours ever!
We were in Prague for three days before we took this tour and thought we had tried out most of the Czech traditionals. We were wrong. Our guide Jo met us and asked what we had tried so far. She brought us to some great local eateries for samples and it was easy to see these establishments were frequented by locals, not tourists. The last stop involved an underground train ride in the U-Bahn. The ticket cost was included and Jo took care of purchasing them. We dined in a local restaurant and drank beer poured by a TapMeister (take the beer tour to learn about this). Jo was kind enough to walk us by the Communist Tower with babies before assisting us back home on the U-Bahn. Don’t miss this one, start hungry.
Our guide, Jan, was great! We had two couples in our group and all got along splendidly. We went to authentic spots that we would not have know to go to otherwise and learned about the local food customs and other cultural aspects of the people. Great way to start the day and we were definitely stuffed for the remainder of the day.
Jo was very friendly and energetic even though we were a small group, and showed us some aspects of prague not directly related to food. I really appreciated her enterprise. We initially items (dumplings, very good, open face sandwich (ok) and dessert (ok). But the highlight was (I think) a Lokal restaurant where there were many locals and a loud atmosphere, and we had some traditional appetizers, entree, and beer. Overall a great introduction to Czech cuisine.
This tour was both tasty and informative. Joshen, our guide, really knew her way around the city. It was really useful to get an introduction to Czech food since it's less familiar to Americans. Although this tour did not promise any historical detail, Joshen shared some city history and showed us some really cool landmarks.
We had a wonderful tour with Jo. She was charismatic, charming, and very knowledgeable. The food was great and the tour was perfect. Highly recommend Jo and this tour!
Spencer did a great job sharing his experiences in Prague and taking us to places locals eat. We had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone
A very interesting foody tour, and a good way to see some of the sites in the city centre. The food choices were interesting & diverse
This was definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Prague! Our guide Jan was so knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Throughout the tour, he not only taught us about the food that we were eating, but also some history and culture as well. This is one of the least expensive food tours that I’ve done in Europe, and I feel that I got more than my money’s worth. We went to four places and had a lot of really lovely food. Definitely come hungry! I loved some of the places so much that I actually went back to two of them later on in my trip. Highly recommend this tour. Thanks Jan!
Jan was our tour guide. Very detailed information about foods. Everything was very tasty. And we were all full by the end . Offered extra dumpling bread and sauce if we wanted . But we couldn’t fit in another mouthful. We asked for extras , our guide was happy to accommodate. Most of our group were happy with the amount of walking , personally I would have liked more, to work up an appetite between foods. Only thing I have thought I would change, is to have the desert and coffee at the end
Great tasting tour of Czech food combined with a little culture. Sociable great way to meet different travellers and chatting about Prague
Wonderful from beginning to end. Our guide was Zina. There were 11 on our tour. We started with sweet or savoury Prague dumplings. They are not like dumplings in the UK. They are as big as a tennis ball and filled. I had strawberry. Delicious but one was enough. Then we had a traditional open sandwich like an open baguette. Gorgeous and cold and fresh. I had potato salad with ham and cheese. Next was a cake shop. We had what was a cream filled choux bun and another chocolate dessert filled with egg nog. Next we tried marinated soft cheese on bread. Very strong cheese. Finally was a traditional dumpling dish again but this time the dumpling were more flat and soaked in a warm savoury sauce, served with braised beef and a cream and cranberry topping. Sounds odd but it was extremely tasty. We got one free drink on the tour but you could buy more. We walked and went on the metro. We visited 4 places. We found out lots of history about Prague and we're given hints and tips of where to go. It was 3 and a half hours. Do not eat before as you do eat a lot. We were very full indeed. Great tour. Highly recommended.
The tasting followed no logical order: first there was a sweet, then an appetizer, then another sweet and finally the main course. The first two places where we ate weren't particularly nice and the choice thereof seemed a bit random. Our guide, Zina, was pleasant but she did not share much information with us nor engage too much with us. Overall, rather disappointing.
Jaz was a friendly tour guide and we had a nice variety of different foods. Would have been nice to learn a little bit more about Czech history and the background of the dishes though.
Fabulous food tour with a really good range of czech cuisine! Highly recommend this tour if you're keen to try things that are otherwise difficult to access as a non-czech speaker. Everything was interesting and delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed.
I went on tour with Jess and it was an amazing experience. Delicious food that gave to have a taste of Prague
