Viktor was an absolutely fantastic tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s history, architecture, and culture, but also made everything fun and engaging instead of feeling like a lecture. He answered all of our questions, gave great local recommendations, and made the experience feel personal and memorable. You can tell he genuinely loves Czechia and enjoys sharing it with others. Our tour was one of the highlights of our trip, and I would highly recommend Viktor to anyone visiting!

Viktor was an absolutely fantastic tour guide in Plzen! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the country’s history, architecture, and culture, but also made everything fun and engaging instead of feeling like a lecture. He answered all of our questions, gave great local recommendations, and made the experience feel personal and memorable. You can tell he genuinely loves Czechia and enjoys sharing it with others. Our tour was one of the highlights of our trip, and I would highly recommend Viktor to anyone visiting Czechia!
This was the worst tour of our entire 19 day vacation. We booked a tour that included a trip to a glass factory, lunch at at local restaurant, and a tour of the Pilsner Urquell brewery. The guide suggested we not go to the planned glass factory and she would take us to a comperable small family owned one. We went to this shop for about a 15-20 minute demonstration and then were moved out for another larger tour. We couldn't go for an English speaking tour of the brewery because the only one available was too late in the day. We tried a tour in a language that we didn't understand and after 5 minutes, we knew it wouldn't work. Lunch went off as planned. Grayline tours knew in advance that there would be issues this tour and the guide said they hadn't offered it in months. She said she tried to contact me in advance to discuss changes but that was a lie. I received no emails. phone calls, texts, WhatsApp messages, or communication through Viator to discuss the changes to this tour with her. In addition, she didn't seem to know where she was driving. She had to keep turning around. In fact, my wife used her google maps to keep correcting her directions. She didn't even drop us off at our hotel at the end of the tour as promised. We walked the last 1-2 blocks.
Our driver, Viktor, picked us up at the hotel. He was a wealth of information all along our travels. The glass factory tour was a great time ( I even got to etch a crystal glass myself.). We bought a few items and continued to Pilzn where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch a brewery tour. Great food, great beer, great fun. Thanks Viktor, for hosting our wonderful day. We learned so much!
Extremely interesting tours on 2 ends of the spectrum. We learned a lot at both stops—but really came to appreciate the artistry in the glass work. Many added historical bonuses!
Both the places were very good, informative & interesting. Only our guide, for that day Mr Arthur was a very rude person & completely inconsiderate. Otherwise the trip was very nice & we enjoyed the day.
Great tour. We had an excellent guide in Vladamir. Had a group of 7 people which was excellent. The glass factory is a tour that you dont want to miss. The brewery tour was excellent, as I had longed to visit. Also an excellent lunch at a restaurant owned by Mr. Tomas Hanak, Prague's gift to Hollywood. Great trip.
We had a wonderful time visiting the brewery and glass factory. The process used to make the glass is incredible and you can buy beautiful glass for reasonable prices. The brewery is worth the trip and full of history. The beer is delicious as well. We would highly recommend this to others.
We paid in advance online and had tickets downloaded. We arrived at the meeting point in the city and there was no official system or person to check our tickets. Then the tour guide and bus driver simply told us they would not being doing the tour. They made many excuses that its not a great time of year anyway for glass factory and that they were taking someone else on a trip to Vienna instead. No warning at all. I am attempting to get a refund but the company is not answering calls or emails from the Viator representative. Extremely unreliable company
2 emails requesting hotel pick up ignored. On arrival made numerous calls to local number provided. All had a recorded message in Czech so not understood. Mentioned to guide (Italian) on arrival at tour - not that concerned or unapologetic. Tour good although guide not very confident or knowledgeable.
The on-site guide at the Pilsner Brewery was engaging, informative and delightful. The on-site guide for the Glass Factory was friendly and informative as well. They were pleasant, engaging and knowledgeable. The lunch offered in the package was delicious. We were late getting to the glass factory as we had to wait for a guide to accompany our transportation.
Excellent tour. Highly recommend first hand and up close tour of both facilities. So interesting, Petr was our guide and very professional and informative. Loved the history of both places.
We paid more for this tour than any on our month-long trip to Poland, but was looking forward to it. In a nutshell, the two destinations were great, informative, and fun. But the tour provider (Grey line tours I think) was beyond inept. The driver picked us up late from our hotel. On the way to the glass factory he got several calls about neglecting to pick up 3 passengers (swerving all over road while talking on phone). Driver couldn't find our restaurant for lunch and pulled over several times to ask locals for directions, sometimes driving wrong way down one-way streets. Lunch was nice once we got there. Driving to the brewery was a joke too. We passed the brewery entrance (which was clearly marked) several times, which would have been funny, except we were already running late to catch the last English tour of the day. By the time he figured out the brewery entrance and dropped us off, the only tour left was in German. Thankfully the only 2 people on that tour understood English, and the tour guide spoke enough broken English to attempt. I felt so sorry for our guide as he struggled for words at times, but he did a remarkable job under the circumstances. When finally returning to Prague we learned that we would be dropped off far from our hotels, and it would be up to us to find our way back. We all protested and insisted on being dropped back to our places of pickup. The driver even called his manager so we could talk to him ourselves, but shortly into the conversation he hung up on us. Everyone was livid. A $10 taxi ride got us back. Go visit these sites, but we strongly suggest you use a different tour company to take you!!!

An excellent day out during our 7 day stay in Prague. The visit to the glass factory was fascinating.. we got to watch every step of the process although the promised information during the drive out never materialized Lunch was equally good and the tour of Pilsner Urquell was a highlight of our entire time away. Our only issue was with our tour guide, Edward. I'm not sure if he was just having a bad day, but he was 'curt' to the point of being rude for most of the day. By the end of the day, the 5 of us who were on the mini-bus, were having fun just watching him melt down when things did not go his way.

Peter was our guide and was very nice. He seemed a little out of it but I think he was just tired. The arrival/start experience was a little odd checking into a kiosk on the side of the road but once the tour got started, it was fine. The gray line part was just OK but the actual glass blowing and brewery tour guides we awesome. Both tours were some of the best I've been on for that topic. Glad we went.
We really enjoyed our tour with Peter. He was a great tour guide and explained much about Prague. We first went to the glass crystal factory. Very interesting and they give you an opportunity to purchase some really cool stuff. Next we had a nice lunch at a restaurant close to the brewery. Then we went to the brewery which was very cool. we were able to try unfiltered and unpasteurized beer which was very good. We meet new people on our tour and connected with Peter to hear some interesting stories about Easter in Prague and life in Eastern Europe. Would highly recommend this tour. I think we returned around 2 or 3 so leaves you about half a day to explore Prague.

Our guide Peter was great. Had a great conversation with him while we drove to and from the brewery and glass blowing factory. The brewery tour was 1.5 hours long and pretty good for a brewery tour. Plus, straight from the cask beer sampling near the end of the tour. Peter also treated us to a great lunch in Plzen. I would recommend this tour.

Our driver Peter was very informative about all things Prague. He looked after us well. The glass factory had a personal tour guide very clear and helpful. Brewery amazing with tour in old and new. Great beer. Good day Grayline highly recommend
A good combination to see glass factory and brewery in one day. Our tour guide Peter was punctuated to pick us up in our hotel and start our journey of the day, both glass factory and brewery guides are very informative, we did some crystal products shopping and tasted a fresh beer in this tour. Lunch included this tour is good too.

This tour was great and our guide, Peter, very helpful and friendly. While we were driving to our destinations he provided us with a lot of history and background on the city. We were the most excited for the tour of the crystal factory, which we loves -- it was amazing seeing so much done by hand. But we were wowed by the brewery tour -- probably the best beer we've had during our whole trip!

We loved our glass and brewery tour. Both factories were so much fun. We bought some amazing looking glassware, vases and glass pieces at the factory at such incredible prices. Pieces that will always remind us of our trip to Prague. The beer tour was super interesting and the guide was young but super knowledgeable and very energetic- made it fun. Also met some great people on trip. Would highly recommend this tour.

Brewery guide was a lot of fun and very informative. Would have preferred on the glass factory that we were able to follow the whole process. Was shown the finished product, then on back to the blowing. Seemed a little backward

Loved this tour. Fantastic trip ....loved the glass factory and also loved the pilsna beer factory. Both we're brilliant. Our only complaint was our driver!!!!! Our guide was a beautiful lady I think her name was Hilda - an elderly Czech lady....very lovely. However our driver......a man can not call him a gentleman who only spoke Czech or Russian was not very nice....he constantly argued with our guide and travelled too fast and erratically at the most inappropriate times. Loved this tour and our guide but was not very impresses with our driver a centiment shared by others on our tour.

A day trip to Pilsen and the glass factory on the way. Our guide, Djan, went above and beyond to help with a lost passport. Our trip in Pilsen included a stop at the police station.. Very complete tour of the brewery with tasting afterward. Small old-style glass production with opportunity to buy the product. A nice meal in a restaurant near the brewery.

Excellent tour. Glass factory was good but a little disappointed as it works as a production line with little or no individual creativity. Not the tours fault . Brewery was excellent. Caves etc were great but one tasting when they make several beers a little disappointing. Overall great and worth the money.

Very informative tours. Ample time to purchase very nice and inexpensive crystal items. Brewery tour was the best brewery tours we have ever taken. Very good guide. The fresh beer was wonderful. Highly recommended.

This was a wonderful tour and we all had a great time!

Guide was good and helpful. The glass factory tour and the brewery tour were informative and nice. I feel the lunch needs improvement, but overall a good experience.

This was an excellent day trip from Prague. Our tour guide and driver, Jan, was knowledgeable and proficient. We first visited the Ruckl crystal factory in Nizbor. It was really neat to see how these crystal pieces are made and gives one a true appreciation for the work that goes into one. At the end of the tour there was the opportunity to buy some crystal, but there was absolutely no pressure to do so. The prices appeared to be very good!! We then headed off to Pilzen. We were given a 1/2 hour to tour the town on our own before heading off to lunch. Lunch was traditional Czech food in a restaurant in Pilzen. It was very good. Then we headed over to the Pilsner brewery where we had an excellent tour. It was an excellent day tour out of Prague.

Pretty well timed and interesting tour. We were lucky on that day it was just the 7 of our party taking the tour so we had the guide and his time all for our selves. Our guide Fabrizzio was keen to explain the history of the region as we journeyed, which was quite good for a history buff like me. Our first stop was at the Ruckl crystal factory where we could observe the famous Bohemian glass-making in the traditional manner. Then off to the Pilsner Urquell brewery where the pilsner larger was invented! This was different to couple of other beer / brewery tours we have taken in the past, as this was a proper working large-scale factory, rather than something kept functioning just for tourists. Overall it was quite interesting and an enjoyable tour, where we could take our own time for a change exploring the gift-shops, enjoying lunch and taking snaps, etc. Enjoyed the lunch at a local restaurant in Pilsen too, which was part of the package.

Glass factory was a setback. The beer factory is very nice to see

Very interesting to learn how the glass was formed. I love the brewery tour too.Enjoyed fresh beer at the storage site. After Prague, touring the country side was a refresh.

Great tour and knowledgable guide, our group of 10 loved it!

We loved the glass blowing trip! I have a new appreciation for fine glassware. The brewery was fine. Bring along a sweater. Although it was 90 outside, the basements that are part of the tour are very cold.

We really enjoyed both tours. Truly very educational for us. Now we know why the Bohemian Chrystal is so expensive and why the Czech beer tastes so good!

Very interesting tour. Both glass blowing and Brewery were worth the visit.

Excellent guide. A fun day learning about beer and crystal.

The tour in itself is very interesting and good and would have gotten 5-star if it wasn't for the guide. He did give some good info, but I never have experienced a more I don't care and I would rather not be here-attitude

The problem was the guide Thomas - he really wasn't a guide as other than giving us timing repeatedly 3 or 4 times each time he didn't tell us much and when we asked questions he would just say he didn't know. There were also problems with timing - we arrived at the brewery at 1140 and it was only after he had purchased our tour tickets that he discovered the next tour wasn't until 1pm. Then he couldn't find the driver to take us for lunch - why would they not have cell phone connections? We got to the restaurant for lunch after 12 and so lunch was very rushed and then we had to wait for the driver to pick us up - again cell phone communication could have avoided this. There was also some disagreement between the driver and guide at other points - not a comfortable feeling. The local guides at the glass factory and brewery were excellent.

The crystal glass factory was very interesting but also distressing in terms of the work environment. The lack of safety equipment was astonishing to us. Brewery was also interesting but I would pass on this trip. The guides were very knowledgeable and the van was very comfortable but the trip wasnot memorable.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Prague. Our driver was fantastic and quite knowledgeable and taught us about the history of the region the entire way. The brewery was outstanding I even was able to purchase glass mugs with my name etched on them and the Ruckl factory was great, with even greater prices in their factory store.

Really enjoyed our day trip to the Bohemian Glass Factory and Pilsner Brewery. Our guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Really comfortable van that transported us from Prague to each of our tours. Enjoyed both tours and seeing some of the local countryside. Also really great way to buy the bohemian glassware and crystal. Much much cheaper buying it from the factory shop than from the stores in Prague. The price for the trip also included a nice two course meal at one of the local restaurants.

Driver was great. The gas factory was very interesting and had some great pieces for sale in the shop at very good prices. The beer tour was also very interesting, and worth the day trip.

Enjoyed the trip though the lunch was not up to expectation.

Our guide picked us up at the hotel and was an excellent driver. Czech traffic is difficult to navigate and there was a lot of road/tram construction taking place. The glass factory was most interesting because we were able to be on the floor where the glass cutting/etching was taking place. The tour included the complete cycle from beginning to finished product. We had lunch in Plzen included and then toured the brewery. The tour was well organized and there was tasting at the end. Everyone said the beer was really good.

This tour gave us pleasant moment. My kids were very interested in this unique experiences.
Guide was very kind and I was satisfied very much. Just one comment is that with more detailed and attractive explanation, it would have been more wonderful in glass factory.

Fun tour! Our guide was great. I would definitely recommend it. Fun combination :-

Tour guide was great. Pilsner guide was cold and just did not
Display any feelings. She seemed upset.

Lots of driving and lots of traffic.

Very nice tour!
Complimentary hotel pick-up was a great start to the morning.
We drove out to the glass factory first. Our driver was the guide and was pretty knowledgeable about all the facts. It was very interesting to see the working conditions, furnace room, cutting machines. The tour isn't in a roped off area so I wouldn't recommend it for small children who like be defiant and roam around.
Then we went to lunch at the brewery's factory options: traditional Czech pork, chicken, or veggie rice.
Lastly, the brewery itself. Tour was led by a brewery employee. Got to see the bottling plant, brewing area, and underground tunnels. The tour is the only place you can get Pilsner Urquell's unfiltered beer, straight from the barrel - which made the tour pretty cool.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in a day trip from Prague!

The woman who was the tour guide was an older lady that spoke fairly poor English. She was difficult to understand. I think tours such as this need to be conducted by younger people who have been brought up with English as their second language. The bus driver was DANGEROUS - constantly texting, talking and with his hands, reading text, talking to the guide that sat adjacent to him, etc. In my country, Canada, 'distracted driving' is a punishable, criminal offence. This particular driver was distracted to the point of driving dangerously. In addition, there was a lot of road construction between the Glass factory and the Brewery and it took approximately an extra hour to go from one to the other due to construction. I wondered why the driver was not aware that the freeway was under construction and that there were such extensive delays. Alternatively, he perhaps could have taken some secondary highways or alternate routes so we were not stuck on the highway, basically sitting, for over an hour. I, as well as others, did not feel safe nor that I was in good hands with that particular driver.
The Glass Factory was very interesting as was the Brewery, however, I would not recommend this company.
