First Night Prague Food Tour: Perfect Spots Curated For You

Very enjoyable experience giving us a taste for many diverse foods of Prague, organized in a very efficient and exciting manner. Kuba gave us very thorough explanations of history behind the various foods we tasted from traditional to nouveau cuisine. We definitely finished the meal well fed and happy. This is great for a first night or an end of trip experience For us, it topped off a wonderful trip to Prague. Thank you Kuba for a wonderful time.

My wife and I had such a great time on our food tour with our host, George. In addition to all the great food, George also shared very interesting information about the Czech Republic and the changes it has gone through over the years. All the food was fantastic. Overall, a very enjoyable evening-high recommendation from us.

The best tour we have ever taken. The food was original and I would say the best in Prague. (If you take this tour remember to go hungry, there is a lot to taste). What made this tour so great was the tour guide, Kuba! He was awesome. Personable, knowledgeable about the food and the city. Walking between food stops he discussed the history and culture and was so engaging. It did not seem like a tour it was more like going to dinner and walking around with a good friend who we were visiting in his city. I cannot say enough about how enjoyable Kuba was. On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best, Kuba was a 10.

Jakub was a wonderful guide! We learnt so much about the history and the neighbourhoods of Prague with the added bonus of amazing local food and drink along the way. A truly memorable experience.

Jakub was excellent. Really treated us well and took us to some great places. Would strongly advise going on a food tour with him. Czech born with great historical knowledge, musician, instrument maker in addition to traditional Czech food man. Wish I was able to go on the food tour earlier in my trip as he is extremely helpful with making a trip to Prague a great experience providing via email many other insider information.

We had a blast! We were 7 colleagues in Prague for meetings. Our guide, Nikola, was very including and social. Spending time with her felt more like an exchange rather then a classic tour, even though she'd always through in a bit of history and story-telling and then turn around and ask everyone around the same topic. Very well-balanced. Food-choices where amazing, same as drinks. Prague is a lovely place.

First day in Prague and this food tour was just we needed. We particularly loved the svickova with its unique sweet gravy. Jakub was personable and informative and shared stories of the traditional meals shared with his grandparents that personalized our experience. Our group size was ideal and allowed time to ask questions and share food memories and information. While priced higher than other food tours we have taken, it was understandable given quality and type of meals provided.

Wonderful tour! The food was authentic, delicious, and plentiful (no need to eat before or after!). Our guide, Jakub, was warm, friendly, engaging, and told us about the history of the places and foods, with little tidbits of information that we wouldn’t get anywhere else. Highly recommend.

This was such a great tour. Jakub was our guide, and he was fantastic - he really personalized the tour, and told us little tidbits that we wouldn’t have gotten elsewhere. This is a full meal’s worth of delicious food - no need to eat before or after.

Excellent tour and excellent guide. Jana grew up in Prague and is from a family of tour guides. She is beyond highly knowledgeable, friendly and made this tour exceptional. She took us to very good restaurants and did so in a well thought out, logical fashion. This was highly enjoyable food tour and made our first night in Prague perfect.

We had a great time with Jakob who brought us to several spots to enjoy traditional food. Everything we ate was delicious and came with a corresponding story/history lesson, which was very valuable for our first night/activity in Prague. He told us about different sites we encountered on our walks between food stops, and that helped keep a good pace between meals so we didn't get full too quickly. We even stopped to see the astronomical clock show!

Jana was a truly wi Derick guide. She is personable, warm, knowledgeable and truly loves Prague. What a treat!

We did a four-hour private Prague food tour with Jana. 5/5. Jana met us at our hotel and knew the area well because she grew up there. She also knew traditional & seasonal Chzeck food, with a local's perspective and inside knowledge. The tour took us to a broad range of places, from local pub cafes to posh & elegant spots we would have never known about. We walked past some sights along the way, and the route was well planned. The food was delicious throughout. Jana was friendly, professional, and deeply knowledgeable about Prague, it's history and food. We finished full and happy, with a much broader and deeper understanding of the city, country and its food.

Jakub was an excellent guide! He even sent an email after with the restaurants we visited, food we ate, and even a few recipes. The stop for shots in the park was a lovely touch. All around great experience!

We did the Food Tour with Jakub on our first night in Prague. Jakub was fabulous, and the tour was a wonderful way to learn a little bit about Prague, and a lot about the food and culture. We don’t eat meat, and noted this on our registration, but Jakub didn’t have that information. Even so, he was able to alter the tour a bit to include items we could eat. We were so full when it was over, and we didn’t eat nearly as much as the others - there was a lot of food! We were a small group, only 6 of us, and that gave us a lot of opportunity to talk to each other, and talk to Jakub. He was warm and open, he gave us a lot of information and tips, about both food and the city, which made us appreciate doing this on our first night in Prague. Jakub even sent us a follow up email with locations and recommendations! We’ve done tours in other cities, and other tours in Prague, and Jakub was definitely in our top guides ever! Highly recommend the tour and Jakub! Thank you!

I would highly recommend this tour if you’re in Prague! It was the perfect way to experience a culinary journey of all the best Czech dishes away from the tourist traps. Each place was better than the last. Our guide Jakub was fantastic. His humour, enthusiasm and knowledge of Czech culture and history really made the experience special. He is a great storyteller! Can’t recommend this tour or Jakub enough.

Great experience for a solo traveler! Nikola was very knowledgable and welcoming. She taught me so much more about food and culture in Prague than I could have trying to explore by myself. I felt the tour had a great range of foods and I learned from her as we walked through different parts of the city. I'd recommend to a solo traveler or to travelers overall!

The Night time Prague food tour with Jakob was perfect. We hit just the right spots and all the food choices gave us a real taste of local Prague. We dined like locals in spots that were not tourist traps. Jakob as a local had great stories of the local history and foods. Nikki was a perfect guide - knowledgeable, friendly, interested, responsive. The tour had great food and a lot of interesting info about Prague. She also knew when to hold back and let us talk amongst ourselves. Too often, guides need to hear themselves talk the whole time. Nikki was great at letting the conversation flow, which made it a very enjoyable 3.5 hours.

The food tour with Jakob was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about how each item was prepared and he went out of his way to take us to the places in town that serve the best traditional Czech food. We really felt like we had a wonderful assortment of foods that showed us what is traditional and most unique to Prague. The tour was well paced, and our guide did a wonderful job of bringing in bits of history as we walked so it wasn’t just about the food, although he is clearly very food knowledgeable. Everything we had was excellent. It was obvious that the proprietors of everywhere we stopped were expecting us so the process of ordering and getting our food was smooth in each location. The pace of the tour was excellent and he was very helpful in terms of always asking if we had other questions. The next day he sent us a summary of what we had and some tips on how to make certain items if we wanted to try them at home. He also went out of his way to answer for me some questions that had nothing directly to do with the food tour, but he gave me some references for things I wanted to see along with very specific directions on how to get there. That to me was above and beyond. I highly recommend this food tour and I highly recommend Jakob.

Kuba knows his stuff! Not only did he make the experience super friendly but was always making sure people were having a great time and enjoying the tour themselves. As a first day trip even after the long flight and the jet lag, this was a great way to start Prague off right. Not only does he give you a great start to know about the culture and history but, also provides you with dishes and drink that not only fill the belly but also the weary soul! Fantastic food and culture tour! Nikki our guide was so knowledgeable and the food stops were great! We never felt rushed and she showed us many interesting sights in the city. Definitely enjoyed ourselves and had plenty to eat! Do not eat before this tour.

This was a great experience, there were many delicious dishes to enjoy and our guide Nikki gave us some fascinating local context about what we were eating as well as lots of info about the area we were walking through. She also had useful tips about where else we should visit in Prague and also what to avoid. Highly recommended.

Our food tour with Will was extraordinary! His recommendations were perfect, his style was friendly and relaxed, and his food knowledge superb! It was our 42nd Wedding Anniversary and he made it one of our best! Every step and stop will be remembered forever because of Will (Guillaume Vergne). We enjoyed every bite and all the energy and fun surrounding the evening!
