Dresden & Bastei Bridge Day Trip To Germany From Prague

Štěpán was a really fantastic guide, so knowledgeable and friendly. He gave us a great tour of the sights of Dresden and the beautiful National Park. He also recommended us some places to go in Prague. Pick up was so easy, right outside our hotel, and we got back in time for dinner! Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a day trip into Germany.

Filip is an amazing & knowledgeable tour guide. I highly recommend this tour. Dresden is a must-see & the Bastei Bridge was so gorgeous especially with all the fall foliage.

This was a wonderful tour. Got picked up right on time at our hotel. Tour guide was top notch! He was informative and friendly. I loved the tour of Dresden and spending time there. The Bastei Bridge and park was absolutely breathtaking taking. There were vast views of the horizon with super interesting rock formations. The river flowed below us and there were views of tiny villages nestled in the distance among beautiful autumn leaves of gold, yellow and red. All in all one of ,y favorite tours for sure.

Although it rained and the shops were closed we had a very enjoyable day with our guide Filip. He went above and beyond finding things for us to see. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Dresden. I have walking issues but Filip allowed me to decide when am, where and how much I wanted to walk. I appreciated the opportunity to enjoy FULLY the tour without shortcut ginger the sights. Well done Indeed ! Thank you Filip!!!

It was very interesting to learn the history of Dresden and see the Bridge. Our guide, Petra, was quite knowledgeable and welcoming.

The destinations on this tour are well worth seeing. The drive from Prague through the Bohemian countryside is lovely, the sandstone formations around Bastei Bridge are stunning, and Dresden's restored Old Town is beautiful. Unfortunately, the guide was the weak point of the day. Due to an emergency, our original guide was replaced, which we completely understand. However, the replacement's explanations were very general, and whenever we hoped to go deeper into the history or context of the places we visited, the preparation simply didn't seem to be there. For places with such rich history, especially Dresden, this was a real missed opportunity. I traveled with a group of friends, and honestly, we all agreed we would have had a better experience exploring on our own. My suggestion to the operator: when a last-minute guide change is necessary, please make sure the replacement is prepared to deliver the depth this itinerary deserves. The destinations are worth it; the guiding needs to match.

I was really looking forward to this tour, and it exceeded exactions and hopes. The tour guide Filip was friendly, fun, accommodating and professional. He told us about some Germany history. The Bastei bridge area was beautiful and the tour was very worth it!

This was a great day trip and only 9 hours, just like advertised. Stefan was a great host and gave lots of info along the way! I thoroughly enjoyed both the tour of Dresden as well as the Bastei Bridge. There is walking involved, but good break in between for lunch at Dresden. The bridge walk is only about 10 min each way and is after another 30 min drive after Dresden so lots of rest time in between! Also great scenery along the drive. It’s a can’t miss! Daryl F

Very relaxed trip with lots of time to explore Dresden. The Bastei Bridge visit involves a lot of stairs but the view is worth it. Filip was a good guide and he provided nice stories and a relaxed drive!

It was well planned and organized. Our guide and driver Filip is a very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable person. Good enough information to absorb and digest, not overwhelming but very helpful. The pace was just right. We got to see the sites, had enough time to take photos and to appreciate them. The free time at Dresden was adequate to glimpse an importance museum as I did for the Green Vault, or to enjoy a nice meal and afterwards stroll the old town. Filip gave us very clear and helpful information and suggestions for the free time. At different sites he took tons of very nice photos for all of us. That is a big plus as well. Of course, there are so many things to visit at Dresden. The trip is more of an introduction, and good combination with the nature wonder visit in the Kernzone National Park. If you fall in love with Dresden you need to spend much more time there. For a day trip I highly recommend this one and Filip as your guide.

I thought this tour was excellent. Our guide was. Filip who picked me up near my hotel. The van we wrote in was very comfortable and the tour was very interesting. I learned a lot about Dresden and also the national Park. Filip did an excellent job and seems like a very intelligent and personable young man. I would definitely recommend this tour.

This tour took us through the countryside of Czechia and into Germany to Dresden. Dresden is a beautiful city with a solemn history worth learning about. We were able to get a walking tour and see the architecture, then we got some free time and explored a marketplace. The trip to Bastei bridge was also a welcome break from cities and into nature. The scenery there was otherworldly. Our guide Filip was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and communicative. It’s obvious that he really enjoys his job. He knew a lot about the history of Dresden as well as about the geology of the Bastei bridge. Pickup and drop off from the tour was also very easy.

The basei bridge is gorgeous! We also enjoyed Dresden and had a short tour and a nice lunch and coffee. Petra did a great job as our tour guide.

Our guide was kind and very knowledgeable about Dresden/Prague. The tour was informative and interesting, and Dresden is beautiful. Highlight of the tour was feasting on bratwurst and beer in a German market.

Fantastic tour. Contacted us the night before to confirm pickup. Arrived the next morning at the allotted time. There were plentiful times for toilet breaks throughout the trip. Dresden was delightful. Tour guide very knowledgeable. Plenty of free time to just go and explore. It was a bit busy at the national park but it was the weekend. Lots of people trying to get the perfect insta shot. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Our guide, Filip, and the owner, Filip, were exceptionally kind. Even though we ran late for the tour meeting time due to our own mistake, they handled everything with great care and helped us meet up with the group smoothly. Filip gave us a fantastic overview of Dresden's architecture, allowing us to fully enjoy the city despite the limited time. Visiting Saxon Switzerland National Park was another highlight, and we had an absolutely wonderful time overall. This was a wonderful day trip. The park was beautiful and our time in Dresden was great! Stepan was a great guide, very knowledgeable about the history of Dresden making our walking tour very interesting, plus we learned alot about Prague on our drive to and from. We had time to walk around Dresden on our own which was very nice. He was very helpful giving us information and recommendations about places in Prague too. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wanted to take a nice day trip out of Prague!

Filip was honestly the highlight of our Prague trip. He is a kind and good person who treated us like family. He is very patient and went out of his way to make sure that our day trip was everything we’d hoped it would be. We truly recommend doing a day trip with this wonderful good human being. This was a great day trip from Prague that combined both nature and a beautiful town. Don’t forget your passport. Passports were checked at the German border! Would definitely recommend this tour!

The tour manager Stephan is very professional and knowledgeable. Strong recommend this tour if you like to experience both a city with history and national parks.

Filip was friendly, thoughtful and informative throughout. He had good knowledge too. Luckily Filip also carried euros which were needed to use the toilets in the (german) park. Only downside was the path in the park - some on our group found it demanding and perhaps the guide could have highlighted this aspect more to avoid any incidents. The trip description said nothing about the need to climb alot of very steep stairs. If you are fit - the views were stunning though!

My wife and I had a very enjoyable day with Stepan. His meet up directions were very clear and he accommodated my wife’s special needs in the van (which was very comfortable). The tour around Dresden was very interesting and informative. Stepan knew his facts as he was able to answer all questions thoroughly. The Group had almost 2 hours of “free time” for lunch, touring etc. The Dresden tour was topped by the visit to the Saxon Switzerland National Park where its grandeur could be observed from three different vantage points. This tour is highly recommended largely due to Stepan’s tour guide skills as he was very personable in addition to what was previously written.

This is a very quick-peek-type of trip. I only remember what we saw on a short observatory tour because I bought a book about Dresden. I would love to come back for at least 3-4 days to visit the Dresden museums and churches and walk around the city slowly. Bastei Bridge was another quick stop. However for a non-hiker like myself it was just enough. We saw the rock formations, climbed to the viewpoint to take postcard-like photos, bought a souvenir and walked back to the car. Beautiful place. I like day-trips like this one to get a better feel about various places so that I can decide whether I'd like to come back for a longer stay. Mission accomplished.

A very good one day guided trips to nearby locations with a guide and in small groups. Travel with comfort.
