We had a wonderful time with Leona on our Delicious Food Tour through Prague Food Tours. She was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and shared a lot of history about the city while we walked and enjoyed some amazing local food. Unlike other food tours we have been on we ate SO much food. These were not just small bites, but heavy snacks to full meals, and everything from a wonderful soup and hot meal to traditional beer house food and ale to our ending spot by the castle where we had some sweet treats and cappuccino. It was a really lovely outing. I would highly recommend.

George was a great tour and food guide. He provide local history as well as history on food that he provided for us. Loved that he took us to many local spots off the beaten path. Food and guide were great. I would highly recommend
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Prague Food Tour, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, George. He was an exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging host who brought Prague and Czechia to life through their history, traditions, and incredible food culture. At every stop, he did more than introduce us to delicious food — he shared the stories, history, and cultural significance behind what we were eating, immersing us in his world and giving us a much deeper appreciation for Czech food and its traditions. We could have visited any of these restaurants on our own, but we would never have understood or appreciated the food in the same way without George. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and storytelling transformed a great meal into a truly memorable cultural experience. If you’re visiting Prague and want to experience more than just the sights, I cannot recommend Prague Food Tour highly enough. You’ll leave with a full stomach, a better understanding of Czech culture, and a genuine appreciation for the city’s culinary heritage. An absolute highlight of our time in Prague!
Our tour guide, Leona, did an amazing job guiding us through the city, explaining the food we were tasting along the way and its significance in Czech culture. Leona also shared historical details throughout the experience. We enjoyed a variety of delicious options across four different stops, which made the 4-hour tour fly by. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Prague!
Absolutely brilliant food tour. Great value for money. We learnt loads about local cuisine, the Czech people and its history. George is an excellent guide. Would recommend to anyone coming to stay in Prague. The highlight of our trip.
Prague Food Tour provided an unmatched personalized experience in Czech food, history and culture. Each stop was eat-discuss-enjoy-laugh. Leona, our guide, grew up in Prague. Her wittiness, personal insight and candor elevated our appreciation for the Czech culinary world. I can't imagine a better food tour!
So delighted! Our tour guide, Leona, was so funny and knowledgeable. We learned a lot, and ate some amazing food.
This is one of the best food tours I’ve ever been on! Being a small company they were very thoughtful in the selection of foods, the route of the tour and the history shared about Prague and the Czech Republic. I learned so much about the history of the city and country and saw how the foods we tried were interwoven in the history. Leona was delightful and answered any questions we had. I highly recommend this tour if you are in Prague! We were very full afterwards from all the delicious foods (not just tiny samples) that we ate!
Late morning, we met up with George, of Prague Food Tour, for their Delicious Food Tour of Prague. Much to our surprise, this small group today was just us three. This tour hit every note we hope for in a food tour: an engaging host; terrific food stops with full and robust explanations of the establishment, the food, its history, and how it connects to Czech culture; historic sights and stories along the walking portions, with depth and meaning; and, finally, just a really great time spent with a host who felt like an old friend showing you their hometown. George was all of that and more. He even taught us some basic Czech words and phrases (or at least he tried). Our first stop was a bakery named Cukrář Skála for an apple koláč, somewhere between a cookie and a Danish. Our lunch stop came next at Café Imperial for a two-course traditional lunch, with beer, of course. Our first course was kulajda soup: a dill, mushroom, and potato soup with a touch of vinegar and sugar. What sends it over the edge is the farm-poached egg served in it that you break and swirl into your soup. Next up was the svíčková: a slice of braised tenderloin of beef served with a bread dumpling and a carrot and parsley root gravy. Super light and absolutely delicious. A testament to not judging a book by its cover, as it is not a looker of a dish. After a bit of a stroll, we stopped at what was described as the largest beer hall in Prague, Lokál. Once beer was in hand, George ordered some traditional bar food: pražská šunka (Prague ham), tatarák (steak tartare), nakládaný hermelín (pickled cheese), and bramborový salát (potato salad). All of this was followed by a round of shots of Becherovka. A much longer walk followed, thank goodness, through Old Town, the main square, the astronomical clock, Wenceslas Square, and more, through side and back streets known by George. Then we came upon our last stop, Myšák, for something sweet. A trio of desserts was wonderful: vanilkový věneček (choux pastry with custard filling), harlekýn cake (layers of light mousse), and buchtičky se šodó (sweet dough buns in vanilla cream). Completely sated, we bid farewell to our new friend George, with new and robust knowledge of Prague and Czech culture and history, and very full bellies.
Our food tour with George was exceptional. Imagine a progressive dinner where each portion of the dinner takes place in a different culturally significant establishment. Moving from place to place also added to our lovely exposure to Prague. George was a wonderful host and his insights, warmth, and humor made us feel very much at home.
Leona was awesome, giving us a unique and memorable experience. My husband and I had a great afternoon with her. We got a great feel for Prague food along with a cultural experience. Highly recommend
We absolutely loved this tour. We went as a group of 10 friends. George was our guide and he was tremendous! Both informative and entertaining. I would have given him more stars if it were available!! Highly recommend this tour and George!!
The pace, portions, textures, service, range and context all beyond any food tour we’ve ever done worldwide. If you’re lucky enough to get Leona or her amazing spouse you will have an unforgettable Prague experience
Leona was wonderful. She was knowledgeable, personable, and caring. My wife and I try to take a food tour in every city we visit. Leona was one of the best guides. We shared our life and travel with her and she did the same. Calling it a food tour is a misnomer. We not only learned about the food but we learned more about the city and country than from any of the other guides we had in Prague. I recommend that you book a tour with her.
We had a great experience on this tour. We loved our guide and thoroughly enjoyed the various stops on the tour, the food was great as was all the insights we learned along the way. I highly recommend this tour.
I would highly recommend the Prague Food Tour when visiting the city. George was a wonderful and enthusiastic guide, sharing his deep knowledge of Prague's culture, history and Czech cuisine. What a great way to learn about the city, have fun, and finish with a full stomach.
George was lovely! We were a family group traveling and each one of us thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The food was delicious and we learned a lot about the history and traditions. It was a relaxed fun day! Be sure to experience this food tour - not to be missed
Best food tour I’ve ever taken! George was full of information on Prague and picked wonderful places to try food. You certainly won’t be hungry after this tour!!!!
One of the best food tours we’ve ever been on. Leona was brilliant - engaging, funny, interesting, full of knowledge and friendly. The food we ate was delicious and Leona catered for my vegetarian request. We were offered choices of drinks including alcohol, different options for food, given extra side dishes when we wanted to taste bits from other dishes etc. Her knowledge of the city and Czech history was fascinating. The 4 hours whizzed by as we were having such a great time. Totally worth the money and would highly recommend. Thank you Leona!
The BEST food tour & Prague tour! George our guide was so fun & informative. We had food allergy we had to work around & he did! Typically we're told you can't eat this or that but are not offered an alternative, you just go without, which is disappointing. But not on this one! He altered food & it was wonderful! Totally worth our time
Great time. Leona was fantastic. Anyone taking the food and drink tour to request Leona.
This was one of the best food tours we’ve ever taken!!! We not only had a lot of delicious dishes, but we got a lot of information on the history of Prague and got to see a lot of beautiful buildings. George even had pictures to enhance what he was talking about. It was also nice that we didn’t have to rush. This tour was definitely worth the money!!
Excellent tour guide, Leona, very knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited in Prague and excellent food choices.
So much fun! Leona is a great guide, full of interesting information. My favorite stop was the beer hall—a unique cultural experience we would not have done on our own. Make sure you go hungry!
We had an absolutely wonderful time on the Delicious Prague Food Tour with our guide, George. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience so enjoyable. We didn’t just taste delicious Czech food we learned so much about Prague, Czech culture, traditions, and the history behind the foods we were trying. George had a wonderful way of bringing everything to life and made us feel like we were experiencing Prague through the eyes of a local. One of my favorite touches was that George made sure we knew how to properly say hello in Czech! Those little cultural details made the tour feel very personal and special. The food was excellent, the conversation was engaging, and George was an outstanding guide. We would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Prague, especially if you want to experience authentic food while learning about the city and its culture. Five stars all around and a special thank you to George for making our Prague experience even more memorable! Julie&Bob R
This was by far the best food tour we have ever taken! Leona had so much information to share, and took great care of all of us in the group! I would definitely do this one again!
My daughter and I booked the food tour with Leona on our first day in Prague. What a win! Leona did an outstanding job teaching us about Czech history, their fight for democracy, their culture and of course --food. We covered a lot of ground, but it never felt rushed. The pacing was perfect. She catered to our dietary restrictions without making a fuss. Her choices of restaurants and bakeries perfectly reflected different parts of the Czech culture and left us full the rest of the day. (Come hungry) At the conclusion of the tour she asked each of us what else we might be interested in exploring in Prague, and provided very thoughtful, and helpful suggestions. As an extra bonus we received a customized guide map. 10 stars!! Thank you Leona!
Leona was an engaging and knowledgeable guide. The food was all delicious and many foods were new and different than what we had previously experienced. Such a worthwhile tour, we could not recommend more highly!
This food tour was such a worthwhile and enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and gave us an insight into the history and culture of Prague. Leona was so engaging and knowledgeable. We loved learning so many new and interesting facts about the area and chatting about similarities and differences between our countries and cultures. The four hours flew by and we loved every second. We could not recommend this tour more highly! Thank you Leona for a wonderful time!
Great experience, Leona was prepared. Great learning, discussions and food, in really interesting spots!!
I think previous reviews have said it all! If you want an authentic experience with an excellent guide then you cannot do better than this. It’s a fabulous food tour, but it’s so much more than that. Leona is a knowledgeable, patient, friendly and interesting guide. The venues are amazing- from elegant cafes to a communist era inspired beer hall- and there was more delicious food than we could eat. Czech culture is explained in fun ways. The time flew by. Highly recommend!
Leona was incredible! Learning about the history and highlights of Prague was totally worth the money. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore this fantastic city!
Leona was our guide and she was great! This food tour was amazing! Leona was so informative and friendly. We were a group of 8 and she was willing to answer all our questions, and we had a lot. The food and drinks were awesome! You won’t leave this tour hungry. Leona took us through interesting parts of Prague and gave details on each location. This will be one of our highlights of our trip.
Leona was terrific - very down to earth, knowledgeable on the history of Prague, the Czech Republic, while providing recommendations on museums, restaurants and bars. It was a wonderful experience for us! Larry K.
We just had an incredible food tour with Leona !! My husband and I love to travel and enjoy different food tours around the world. This has to be one of the best culinary experiences we have encountered. The group was small which was great because we could hear everything and the food was exceptional. Leona’s passion for the Czech Republic’s history and food is so evident. The food was plentiful and top notch. Do not hesitate in booking this tour !!
This was a highly enjoyable tour with George whose enthusiasm is infectious. The tour is well paced with three stops to sit down and eat (a small lunch of soup and a main, a visit to a beer hall with traditional snacks and a final stop for coffee/tea and cake). The group size of 10 worked well. Can’t recommend highly enough
This was one of the best tours I have been on. George was amazing. He was full of many interesting facts about the history of Prague. We sampled snacks, main dishes and desserts. We visited a famous beer hall where we sampled more local specialties and beer. Make sure to arrive hungry and have a good time. It is worth your time and money to take this tour

This family run tour is a must do if you are in Prague. Leona was so much fun. Her love of Prauge food and its history shines through!! What an amazing…. and yummy time. Thanks.
This was the highlight of our visit to Prague! We tried so many foods that we wouldn’t have known or thought to try otherwise. They were all delicious! Leona, our guide, was excellent and her knowledge and pride for her city & country are admirable. She included many cultural and anecdotal stories into her tour which made it even better! We did the tour our first full day there and went back to multiple places afterwards for the food specialties. Highly recommend!
We usually don’t go on tours when we travel, but this is a must do when in Prague! George is a FANTASTIC guide- we learned about so much more than the food (which was delicious!). We learned so much about the history, language and culture including his own family’s culture. George is so personable and he/ his wife picked amazing restaurants that truly showcase all that the beautiful city of Prague has to offer!
This was the best tour throughout our European vacation. George shared history and such interesting stories. The food was great and plentiful! We had a group of 7. We all enjoyed it so much! Thank you George for such a memorable experience!
This was the best tour of our 10-day trip around Europe! George knew all the best spots, and was able to provide so much thorough Czech history. I would 100% recommend this to anyone and everyone traveling to Prague.
