We went on the Charles Bridge River Cruise & Guided Tour with Pragueway in late October. There was just four of us in the group and our guide was Anel. She was excellent in leading our small group. Charles Bridge was very busy as one would expect and there was a film crew on the Bridge which squeezed the space available but Anel was excellent in helping us navigate the crowds and getting across the Bridge with minimum fuss. We then had an enjoyable cruise on river boat. Everything worked perfectly.

A brightly painted wall symbolizes the tomb of the legendary Beatle and peaceful resistance to violence worldwide. It was created just after the death of Lennon at the end of 1980, when people began spontaneously adding graffiti to mark his life and thoughts, laying flowers and candles. To this day the wall attracts new graffiti, the original painting with the portrait of John Lennon lost beneath layers of paint.
This park / an island between the Vltava River and its side branch, Čertovka, where you can see the huge mill wheel of the 15th century former Grand Priory Mill, is one of the most romantic and picturesque places in the city. Not surprisingly, the prestigious traveler's server VirtualTourist declared it the second most beautiful city island in the world. Grassy areas of the island are widely used for picnics and relaxation.
You will have a nice view of the castle from the bridge. Prague Castle has been an important symbol of the Czech state for more than a thousand years. It was founded in the 9th century and became the seat of Czech rulers and later presidents. The castle, one of the largest complexes in the world, is made up of historical palaces, offices, church and fortification buildings, gardens and picturesque spots. It covers an area of 45 hectares. The panoramic view of Prague Castle is one of the most spectacular in the world.
The oldest and most iconic bridge in Prague. It’s a medieval stone arch bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the early 15th century.

I have really high praise for Anel as my tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and quickly captivated our interest in the Czech Republic and its history. Also lived the interesting extras she engaged us in such as the artist who displayed his art around the city ( see pictures below). Fascinating but fun. The tour was well paced out so that even a senior such as myself can keep up! Anel deserves a raise for the great job she did. I will recommend to others to take this tour.
Anel is the best yout guide we can have. She kept track of us all the time to make sure 8 of us were following her. She is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked more. Thank you for such great tour guide.
John was amazing!! He was very in knowledgeable and had a great pace
Start place was strange Guide was good and I really liked the boat tour. Interesting area could have used more detail
Good walking tour with English speaking guide plus Venice style river boat tour with audio recording. Michal was an excellent guide and very entertaining! He had interesting facts and comments. Michal also had very good English and funny jokes…
The walking trail part was terrific. Anel was very good at her job. The boat ride was fine but the boat ride operators were on the cranky side, and you pretty much go around in slow circles for an hour.
The Tour with Sebastian was interesting and funny. He gave us useful tips for our trip to other parts of the city.
Anel was great! Knowledgeable and funny.
Fun, relaxed, VERY knowledgeable, local Czech host(Matyas)! Extremely friendly. Interested in international affairs. Only 8 persons on our tour. Once we switched from his guided walking tour to the boat, the narrator was an automated voice; that was not a personal tour.
Michal best guide, friendly funny the best
Josef was a fantastic, friendly tour guide with a detailed knowledge of the area and its history. He speaks fluent English so it was easy for me to understand coming from the United States. I highly recommend going on this tour!
The walking part of the tour was great but it was a little confusing trying to find out where we were supposed to meet. The BOAT TOUR RIDE was disappointing. There were no clear instructions when getting on the boat and it was just a row of benches to sit on, and pretty crowded. It was basically a bit chaotic, and the beer and hot coffee was served in plastic cups, which was so un European and cheap. They did give us some snacks, but I just dreaded all the plastic wrapping and cups probably being blown into the river. It just wasn’t very eco-minded. Once seated, it was hot inside, and the windows were all shut very difficult to open isn’t even sure if we were allowed to open them. Some young people behind us took over the seats by covering the whole bench with their legs so there wasn’t anywhere to sit, and we had to ask them to move over and share the seating which they were unhappy about, during the boat ride, they were obnoxious and loud. One of them even stole one of the staff hats. They were not even listening to the tour information through the headphones. It would’ve been nice if one of the staff members had taken more initiative to seat people and make sure that everyone was happy and open up some windows for us. It was difficult to hear what was going on with the unruly people on the boat in such a crowded space. In hindsight, I should’ve paid for a much more expensive boat tour with perhaps calmer and older clientele, and a glass of wine.
Josef was our walking tour guide and he was really engaging and knowledgeable. The skipper of the boat tour part of the package was also really interesting. Highly recommended
Vite did a great job showing us around and also provided nice historical facts. In addition, gave us tips on where to go for other entertainment
Sebastian is, if not the best among the best travel guides I have met in my life yet. What an honest yet charming, vivacious man he is. Not only did he share his artistry with us, his knowledge of the Prague castle was exceptional.
Michal was an amazing guide in the walking part of the tour, he was knowledgeable, personable and very funny. Thank you and would recommend!
Michal was a great guide! Great knowledge and funny. 10/10 recommend.
Nice informative walking tour of Lesser Town with historical and local knowledge. Boat ride was just right about 45 minutes. Sebastian was excellent.👍
Great tour. Jarda is a really great guide! He made the experience truly enjoyable with his narrating style and humour. Highly recommended!
Sebastian was awesome. Great personality and very knowledgeable. Gave us History and perspective at the same time. Rare to find guides like him
Great tour with some historic walking and a relaxing boat cruise with a snack and beer. Michal our guide was friendly, funny and very informative. We had a great time and thank him for his hospitality.
Josef 10 Did a great job on the second half of our full day tour. He is passionate about the history & architecture of Prague. He even gave us extra time at the end and helped us figure out the tram stop to get back
David was a great guide….he was informative, polite and enthused.
David was the best part of the tour. He was our tour guide, he was very kind, knowledgeable and fun!
Davide was an excellent, kind, charming, informative and knowledgeable tour guide. Highly recommend Davide.
Matej was an amazing guide on a super way to get to know Prague on the first day here. He made the history come alive with his vast knowledge. I highly recommend any tour that you can book with him. His lunch recommendation was spot on for local flavor!
Amazing tour, and the guide was awesome!
Had a guided tour with Mikhal. Was on time, very informative and calm. Super helpful with recommendations and advice. Definitely worth booking.
Great boat trip to do in Prague especially if you have limited time. Great audio commentary in your language.
Michal was fantastic! Highly recommend!!!!
Michal was an excellent tour guide; so informative and interesting to listen to. Very personable and gave us great tips for getting the most out of our trip to Prague.
Sebastian was terrific - great at history story telling and gave fabulous advice on restaurants and other activities to do around Prague.
Sebastian was an excellent guide. Knowledge and entertaining
We were so happy that we were on one of the smaller canal boats for the river portion of this tour!!
Our walking tour with our guide, Jarda, was wonderful! He knew his history of Prague and Czechia very well and was very personable and enthusiastic. The boat tour was relaxing and informative, but the tour with Jarda was the best part!
The guide Michal was very good
Johana was a very engaging and knowledgeable tour guide. She was inclusive in sharing Prague's history including the Charles Bridge. She often asked if anyone knew the answer to a specific fact before giving the answer. She kept a easy pace for all my fellow tour members as well, which often times in tours is not the case. The cruise part of it was enjoyable as far as historical content. The benches/ seats were way too crowded though. My knees are still recovering! It was a nice touch to add drinks and ice cream however. :-)
We had a great walking tour with Michal. He was funny, smart and made the history and content easy to understand. The walking tour was excellent way to get familiar with the history of Prague. Michal was great!
Sebastian was very engaging with a good knowledge of the areas he showed what was a small and manageable group size of 11. The Prague Venice boat trip was really relaxing and the Charles Bridge museum worth a visit. Overall it was an an enjoyable experience with decent value for money good given how long Sebastian spent with us.
This was a great walking tour, Jardn was amazing, very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this walking tour. The included boat trip was very relaxing. We all enjoyed this experience.
Had an amazing day with Radka and Elisabeth, they were extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the tour!! Well done both!
We really enjoyed this excursion. There is a 45 minute walking tour, followed by a 45 minute canal boat ride in a unique boat. Our walking tour guide, Michal was wonderful. The pace was good, he was very informative and he was really funny. He included everyone on tour equally. The boat ride was really nice too. A good opportunity for great photos, and more history. I definitely recommend.
Did not learn much because guide was hard to understand. The boat ride guide of Charles River was even harder to understand
Great combo of a 1. guided walking tour and a 2. boat trip ⭐️ 1. I enjoyed seeing parts of Prague’s Old Town, Charles Bridge and hearing about the history about the landmarks during the tour!! Michal is a great guide - he is genuinely kind, very attentive, knowledgeable about Prague’s history. One of the best guides I’ve met! But he told a bit too many historical facts making it a bit difficult to enjoy the view at the same time - thats the only reason I did not give 5 stars. 2. The boat trip was amazing. It took us through some spectacular sights on the big river, and through some small cosy, rustic rivers throughout the city! It also included a free ice cream, a beverage which + free entrance to the Charles Bridge museum which is outstanding value for money! I don’t recommend listening to the audio guide during the boat trip as the constant talking makes it difficult to enjoy the unique views - just have a look around and you will enjoy the ride a lot. Thanks for a great trip!
Haworth the money. Our guide Matyas was both knowledgeable and kind. He provided us with list of places to check out and even warned us about scams. I would definitely recommend.
Adam was amazing! Extremely knowledgeable and personable. One of the best guides I've ever had on any tour anywhere.
Michal was great on this tour. He was very informative and very friendly. I thought there was a nice balance between the walking portion and the boat portion. It’s a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours.
This tour was fantastic! Johana was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience both fun and engaging. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting. It was the perfect length and provided lots of interesting information that we'll continue to appreciate as we explore for the rest of our trip. The boat ride covered only a short distance, but it was a wonderful way to see the city from a different perspective. It offered a unique vantage point and was a relaxing addition to the experience. Overall, this was an enjoyable and informative tour, and a great introduction to the city.
Sebastian was a great guide! He was very knowledgeable about everything we were seeing but I truly appreciated all of the recommendations and tips he gave, especially as a solo traveler!
