This is a very nice natural area in Czechia. It is full of sandstone formations eroded into many weird shapes, reminiscent of Bryce Canyon National Park. The long walk up a seemingly endless series of steps is worth the effort for outstanding views.

Tom is friendly, interesting and gave us a lot of information about the Bohemian Paradise and life in general in the Czech Republic. First,a visit to Kost castle and a walk around. Then a 20 min drive to Bohemian Paradice and the magnificent wonder of Prachov Rocks. Tricky walking, uneven surfaces, sandy trails, lots of stairs both up and down, but absolutely worth it. I require a hiking pole for stability (previous broken foot) and managed the walking well.We saw people of all ages taking their time walking and thoroughly enjoying these spectacular rock formations. We did the 4km trail and Tom allowed us to go at our own pace, chatting and explaining the rock formations, plants and pointing out the adventurous rock climbers. We had an excellent lunch and a rest at a local restaurant and an interesting brewery visit on the way back to Prague. Reccommend.
We had such a great day. Tom was a fantastic guide and even took us to an extra stop because he knew one of our group was interested. I would highly recommend this trip!
Amazing experience! Tom is extremely knowledgeable about everything Czech, the tour was very intimate and professional. Amazing views from the castle and the park, the restaurant with the local Czech food was fantastic, and seeing how beer is made in the factory was very interesting!
Tomas did an excellent job providing a unique tour outside the city. Wonderful walk around a castle ground, beautiful nature walk and capped off by a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Not only the sights and sounds amazing but Tomas’s insight into the Czech Republic was fascinating. Highly recommend!
Tomas is an excellent tour guide. In addition to a great experience, he was an enjoyable and friendly host. He can show you parts of the Czech Teoublic not avaliable on most other tours. If you want to experience an experience outside the city of Prague, this is it.
This was a truly excellent trip. We went with 3 adults, a 5 year old, and 1 year old. You get a private van to each place, and they will cater to you. It included some of the most breath taking views in the country, the best food, and a reeeeallly good tour of the local brewery. You definitely need to book this tour!
A perfect day to get out of city crowds and explore. This tour had a perfect balance of nature and amazing views during the hike, a delicious lunch with so many options, and the brewery tour was very cool and different from others we have seen. Amazing day with Tom!
Tom was a terrific host. First the basics. His car was spotless and well maintained. He was on time and ready for us. Tom spoke English well and it made it easy to communicate. The tour was fantastic. Lots of wow moments as we went through the rock park and up the tiny gorges. There were amazing sites, great hiking and views. It was a high reward hiking experience. We got some exercise for sure but Tom checks on everyone’s ability before you get to the tough hiking just to make sure that everyone can enjoy the day. The brewery was enjoyable. Great to see the work and technology that goes into producing the beers. All in all, I would recommend the personalized service of Tom. This trip will make you feel like a valued customer and not just one of many on a tour.
Tom was the perfect host! He took us to this beautiful castle, then to the most beautiful rock formations, and this amazing brewery tour. Highly recommend this tour!! Thank you so much Tom!!
We took this full day tour. The landscape is fantastical. Tomas, our tour guide, was super helpful and very knowledgeable about the region, where he grew up. I would recommend this tour and this tour guide to my friends and family for sure.
Tom, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and easy going. He grew up near the Bohemian Paradise and knows the rocks and land as if they were part of his family. He made sure we had a yummy, hot lunch at a nearby restaurant; a stop at a Medieval castle; and a tour of the Svijany brewery, which started in the 1500’s. We loved every minute of our day-long tour!
The landscape and history behind every site was extremely impressive. This was coupled with an extremely articulate, engaging and informative tour guide (Tomas). Although it was a solo group tour - due to November being a relatively low season for holiday - the way it was structured was more than enjoyable. Lunch was exceptionally impressive - we expected it to be catered food; but it turned out to be a proper local restaurant within a small town. The garlic soup is a must try! This tour is highly recommendable for anyone visiting Prague. Absolutely 5/5.
For those looking to get away from Prague for a day, this trip is perfect. Our tour guide was Tom, he’s excellent! He grew up close to the area where the hike is, so he’s very knowledgeable and can answer all your questions. Here is a summary of our trip: -An hour drive from Prague to the first location, the castle Kost. -Another 15-20 minutes drive to the Bohemian UNESCO park. Excellent views and rock formations. -Lunch is included and provided at a restaurant in a small village. Delicious local foods. -Finally we visited a brewery, Svijany, where they gave a very in depth tour of their facility. -We left the brewery and came back to Prague. All in all it was from roughly 8:30-6. Again, excellent day trip to visit some nature and the villages around Prague. Highly recommend.
Tom was fantastic. Very knowledgeable. He made sure everyone had a great experience. I would highly recommend this tour.
The trip was absolutely perfect: the Bohemian rocks and the Castle are really beautiful and the visit to the brewery was very entertaining. Tomas organized every detail of this trip and you can really feel his passion for his job. Really really top! If you are in Prague you should absolutely book this visit to the Bohemian Paradise!
What an interesting and well-organized day! The geopark is truly a sight to see but don’t think we could have navigated on our own. Our guide knew all the best trails, views and photo spots! The Kost Castle was also interesting- and again, we would not have found this on own own. The lunch was amazing and while the Czech beer was obviously delicious, drinking the unfiltered beer right out of the tank was unparalleled!! Highly recommend Green Zebra Tours!
If you love nature and beer, this trip should absolutely be at the top of your list! This tour will take you off the beaten tourist track in a company of a friendly local guide Tom. Bohemian Paradise is absolutely breathtaking! There is quite a bit of up and down walking involved and some parts are tricky to navigate so you want to be a confident walker. Lunch is super tasty local food (a lot of it!) and a drink in a friendly cute restaurant. The brewery tour was interesting taking us through the whole traditional brewing process (even though I'm not much of a beer drinker). They were also very generous with pouring the unfiltered beer in a HUGE mug for us to taste - there was enough to drink at the brewery and to take away. After the tour, Tom kindly took us to the gift shop so we could load up with gifts to take home. Overall, the tour was a memorable and pleasant experience.
Couldn't recommend this highly enough - Tomas was friendly and informative and took us to loads of really nice areas - Bohemian Paradise is beautiful! The restaurant food was delicious and the brewery tour (and samples) was great. A perfect way to spend a bit of chilled time outside of Prague.
The overall Tour was very well planned in terms of duration of the whole experience, the information shared by our guide Tom, the lunch, the brewery tour, and the beautiful breath taking Bohemian Paradise which is a must visit. Tom's ability to consistently show us more as we were keeping good time, socialize us with the local culture just goes to show how warm and welcoming the people of Czech Republic are. Tom thank you again for your warm hospitality, the yummy herbal tea and the trees you are planting on our behalf. I will definitely be trying your potato pancake recipe.
Today we had a great tour to the country side, near Prague. Our guide, Tom, gave us very informative and interesting information about the country and the areas we visited. We had a beutiful stroll in a natural park with amazing landscapee and visited a local brewery. Tom was very attentive ans nice to us, so all togheter has been a great experience. We have learnt many things and relaxed enjoying nature. Highly recommended!!
Tomas from Green Zebra Tour was our tour guide. He is delightful and knowledgeable. A moderate walking tour at Prachov Rocks. It was not difficult for us, actually it was quite relaxing and we can enjoy the scenery along the way. The scenery was really beautiful and the formations of the sandstone rocks were amazing. The stops at castle, lunch and brewery factory were good. We had a great day with Tomas.
Green Zebra was the best thing for me as the tour took me out amongst nature as well as viewing a castle . I was even surprised to find myself enjoying the brewery tour, expecting it to be boring. The drive was comfortable and sights along the way were pointed out. Tomas, our guide and driver, is really personable and likeable and during our trip he met our needs (stopping for morning coffee and cake). Lunch was absolutely delicious. Tomas is a sincere and honest man and I highly recommend Green Zebra for an enjoyable trip out of Prague.
This is a wonderful excursion from Prague to experience the villages, a castle, hike, lunch and brewery. Prepare to hike through enchanting rock formations for fantastic views of the Czech countryside with expert guidance followed by a delightful cafe. The tour was very reasonably priced for the experience which included our entrance to the park, lunch and brewery tour.
Our trip to Prague was wonderful thanks to Green Zebra tour. Tom put together a delightful itinerary for our very first Bohemian Paradise tour. It was a truly remarkable and definitely unforgettable experience for us. Tom shared history of the places we visited using delightful stories. I can’t begin to say enough positive things about him. He was on time and very friendly. The transportation that he provided was comfortable and very clean. He even took candid pics and videos for us. We really enjoyed the scenery and story of the places that he took us. In summary, this was a one day tour that we were sad to see end. We highly recommend using Green Zebra for bohemian paradise tour!
Marek is, in our opinion, one very ideal guide. He's informative, polite, & took initiatives to make sure all members of his group are comfortable. Besides the needed info. of the various spots, he even has explained some Czech words in detail. Lunch was also of high quality.
This is a trip not to be missed. The visit to the castle, the walks among the rock formations and the tour around the brewery were outstandingly enjoyable and informative. The lunch, at a traditional Czech restaurant was delicious. All of this was down to our guide, Marek, an unassuming, terrific chap who made sure this day was the absolute highlight of our holiday. Thank you Marek. Joanna and Vangelis, Greece
I stumbled onto this tour by accident (while browsing for what to do outside of Prague), and was immediately drawn by the pictures. Usually, you never know if the reality will be as good as the picture, but here it was. The tour was amazing. Me and my husband were the only people that day, so it was like a personal tour. We saw a beautiful castle. Went to the brewery; had a delicious meal and hiked up the mountain while enjoying the rock formations. Our guide, Tomas, was great. And I definitely recommend this tour!
Amazing walking tour into Bohemian Paradise and interesting visit to a Czech brewery! A great thanks to the guide, Tomas! Giulia & Manuel
Green Zebra were so well organised....even though we were not in the centre, they picked us up from our hotel. As we were a small group, the tour felt like a private tour just for us, not to mention the beautiful places we visited.
Truly an unforgettable adventure. We had the best tour in our entire trip. Tomas is an amazing person and very knowledgeable. He knows the best route to hike at the bohemian paradise. Tomas walked with us at our own speed and didn't rush us to walk fast at all which was amazing and we appreciated that a lot. We were able to admire the place, take lots of pictures and ask tons of questions. The visit to the castle, the lunch and the brewery were all amazing. What really touched us all the most is the fact that a tree will be planted for every visitor to the bohemian paradise through Geen Zebra Tours. Don't think twice and book this tour for an unforgettable adventure. Marie
The tour was fantastic: the national park and rock formations were amazing, the castle was stunning, we had an excellent lunch at a local restaurant (which included vegetarian and vegan options and beer!). The brewery tour was comprehensive - our tour guide Tomas conducted the tour in english, and asked the brewery staff further questions on our behalf. We got to sample a generous serving of unfiltered beer as part of the tour. Tomas was an excellent host, he had an encyclopedic knowledge and history of the attractions and local area, and ensured that we kept on track to visit on attractions with ample time. Highly recommended!
I can only agree to all the fantastic reviews. We had a perfect day in Czeski raj. Thomas is really a great guide. Very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. We booked the 3 in 1 Tour and can totally recommend this Tour. We wanted to have a day off of the crowds in Prague and this was the best choice ever. We started with the brewery tour. We could see the brewing process could taste the very tasty beer and took some beers with us. Within this tour you get so close to this brewery, you won't get anywhere else. It was really fun! Next stop was the hiking tour through great stone formations. This was incredible. The hike was of perfect length and on our way we were well accommodated by Thomas with warm tea :-) Unforgettable moments and amazing views! The lunch stop was very, very good. We stopped in a small village, the restaurant was very authentic and served very tasty local food. During our whole stay in Prague we haven't eaten so well. Our last stop was Kost. This nice and cozy place is worth seeing it. Although we weren't inside the castle we got a lot of information from Thomas about it and only the walk around was perfect enough. Finally, we can highly recommend this tour. It is wonderful with a wonderful guide in the wonderful nature. Hope to get the chance of doing something like this again. Thank you Thomas for the nice day!
Had a great day trip with Tom from Green Zebra Tours. We had booked the “Bohemian Paradise 3 in 1 Tour, nature reserve day trip”, where we were told on the day of trip that the other people in our group had cancelled making the trip a real private trip! First of all we were picked up by Tom at our hotel and we had passed the castle “Kost”, where we walked around it and got a clear explanation from Tom about the history of the castle. Then we went to “Prachov rocks”, where we walked through the mountains for a few hours. Compliments to Tom’s are photographer skills to take lots of pictures of us! We also heard interesting stories about the mountains in various places. After the walk through the mountains we went to a nearby village to eat at a delicious restaurant, where Tom could recommend typical Czech dishes. We ended the day trip with a tour of a local beer brewery, where we actually got a tour of a functioning beer brewery (where people were really working). After the trip we were dropped off at our hotel. We thought it was a super cool and unforgettable day trip! Super many compliments to Tom who made our day fantastic!
Beautiful and fascinating tour to discover the natural park of Bohemia and its origins. You pass in the typical places of the park and stop to admire the wonderful nature. There is no shortage of historical insights into the traditions and history of the place. You stop to eat in a typical local restaurant with great food and finally move on to visit a famous brewery with tasting. In all this Tomas guides us in the paths giving us information about what is visited. Tomas is very courteous and helpful, it seems to talk to a friend; always present to give directions and remove curiosity! I recommend this experience to everyone!
