We had an excellent day learning about not only Czech wine, but the history. The meal we ate was excellent!

We had a great time at the tour! Pavel, the tour guide, was very nice and professional. We heard amazing stories and tasted great wine and overall enjoyed the tour very much. I highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time visiting Johanna W Winery. The winery itself is beautiful and the wines were delicious. Petr was our guide and he was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and had a delightful sense of humor. We went for a delicious lunch at a local cafe and then headed to the vineyards where the grapes were just days away from being ready to pick. We highly recommend this tour and suggest requesting Petr as your guide!
Peter met us at the winery/ vineyard. From the start his hospitality was fabulous. He provided great information on the wine, nice tour of the vineyards, drove us to a local lunch place, and walked around the base of medieval ruins. A wonderful day outside of Prague!
An amazing opportunity for a day trip outside of Prague! The nature is absolutely stunning, and Martin is a knowledgeable, passionate guide—his enthusiasm is truly contagious. The wines were delicious and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this experience! 💯
A fantastic day that I highly recommend to anyone. Martin is extremely knowledgeable and interesting not only about wines but about the areas history and current matters. The lunch stop was picturesque and the food delicious. I would be very keen to take another one of their tours.
Cannot say enough good things about this experience! We had the best day with Petr and Marketa! Our day began with an hour drive to the winery, which was a bit confusing since the driver was not directly part of the tour but he dropped us off safely at Johann Winery and picked us up right on time! We spent the day learning so much from Petr and Marketa about the wine itself, the history of the winery and area, including a beautiful drive around the vineyard and Jewish Cemetery on site and included a delicious and authentic lunch we are still talking about! We truly cannot say enough about Petr and Marketa's knowledge, kindness and love of what they do, this made our entire trip! 1000000/10!
Marketa and Petr were amazing! We booked a private tour and the two of them opened the winery just for us. The wine tastings were very good and included an extensive education by Petr, an excellent Sommelier. We also were given a comprehensive tour of the facility, which is a beautiful place to host a variety of events. In addition, they drove us around the local area and took us to an amazing lunch in a nearby small town. Furthermore, we toured a section of the different vineyards that the winery maintains. The day we went, there was quite a bit of fog and Marketa went out of her way to ensure we drove to an area that would allow us to see more of the countryside. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Prague take a day and book the private tour with Marketa and Petr. They were a joy to spend the day with!
The wine tasting was great, beautiful place and Martin was very knowledgeable and engaging. Loved the tour of the winery but especially loved the drive out to the vineyards and seeing the countryside and nearby castles. Lunch at the little cafe was excellent. We so enjoyed the whole afternoon, even the ride with Nicolas to and from Prague was nice as he was full of stories as well and made it go fast. He was right on time picking us up and we were welcomed by Martin when arriving. A great tour and well worth the money!
We had a wonderful day in the countryside tasting delicious wine at the Johann W. Winery. Our guide Martin was excellent, he gave us information about the history & life of the Czech Republic. We also visited the vineyards where we took lots of photographs of some stunning fall landscapes. We then went to Penzion Restaurant where we had a fantastic lunch & more wine. It was great to get away from the big city of Prague for the day. We also had a great driver. I would highly recommend this tour.
Quite simply the best day tour experience I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many!) Petr and Marketa were so very kind and knowledgeable about their lovely wine and food and gorgeous countryside. I was the only one on the tour and I felt like royalty. Seeing the Jewish cemetery on the estate was a touching plus. Perfection.
We had an hour ride back and forth to the countryside with David, who was a really nice guy. Our guide, Martin, was really good—very knowledgeable about all aspects of winemaking. He really loves the countryside and really gave us an appreciation for its beauty. And he took some great pictures for us. Lunch at a small local restaurant was delicious. We ended the day in a beautiful vineyard as the sun was going down. It was a great day. The only slight disappointment was it was only the two of us on this trip—I was looking forward to meeting some new people. But definitely take this trip if you want a feel for the Czech countryside. It’s a great break from the crowds in Prague.
Such a nice day in the countryside. Our guide Pavel was very knowledgeable. The winery was lovely and Peter, the events manager had us taste some delicious wines while giving us some background on the region and history. We saw an old castle and lunch at a country pensione was delicious!
Martin, our guide, was very knowledgeable and passionate. We learned much about wine making and how the winery came about. The tour included the wine making process from the growing of the grapes to the bottling of the wine. If you are visiting Prague, this is a "must see" to learn about the Czech people that live away from the big city. The countryside is gorgeous and picturesque. Expect to come away more in love with the Czech Republic!
I would recommend this to anyone visiting Prague. What a wonderful way to see the beautiful countryside and taste fantastic wine. Our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable, the vineyards were beautiful with views for miles, and they made it incredibly easy. Thank you!
This was a wonderful day in the country with delicious wine and great information. I highly recommend as a way to enjoy Czech wines and learn more about their process.
If you're anything like us, you've scoured the internet in search for the best possible wine tour for your time in Prague. With many reviews it's certainly overwhelming. Well, we would like to tell you that this is the perfect tour. We started the day with a private ride to the winery. We were welcomed by Peter, one of the sommeliers and his wife Markéta, a wonderful young couple that makes you feel very comfortable. Peter is very knowledgeable and personable, providing just enough info and quiet time on the beautiful installations of the winery. They toured us through the whole place, we were able to experience the ENTIRE process, from the grapes being brought to the winery to the bottles being labeled and stored. After the tour of the place, they took us to the vineyards where we were able to walk through the fields, while enjoying one of the bottles we liked the most from the wine tasting (they specialize on white wines but have a few reds as well) For lunch, Markéta brought us to a local restaurant located in the countryside. The restaurant was very cozy with a beautiful, scenic views. The homemade food was delicious and was a great representation of Czech cuisine. When we were done with lunch, we returned to the winery where Peter was waiting for us to say our goodbyes. Lastly, we rode for an hour back to our hotel in the city of Prague. During the tour there's no pressure if you'd rather keep to yourself. We left full, happy, tipsy and with a new favorite type of wine. This was one of our favorite things we did in Prague. 10/10.
What a lovely evening we had! Such charming service and delicious dinner in lovely surroundings. Wonderful and thank you1
The guides were amazing we slept through our alarms and they were very patient and understand. The lunch spot was spectacular delicious food, drinks and views. Count recommend this trip more great for friends or couples. A great way to celebrate our one year anniversary!!
The wine was excellent with the guide purchasing a bottle for us to enjoy during the ride around the vineyards.
Simply excellent! Make this a part of your vacation. We went off season, small group, great experience!!
I went on my very first wine tour with my mom. We aren’t heavy in alcoholic beverages but are super surprised at all we learned from our tour guide. Thank you so much! I heavily recommend this tour.
Perfect tour. We learned a lot of information about the wine and the landscape. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Thank you for a beautiful day.
My husband and I traveled to Prague for 5 days and felt we needed a quieter day outside the city so we booked this day trip. It turned out to be our favorite day! Martin and Linda were incredibly welcoming and excited to share their knowledge and passion for wine, the vineyards, Czech history, and the smaller villages/countryside outside of Prague. 10/10 experience, if we ever come back we'll be sure to book it again or something similar with them.
Excellent winery tour. Martin was our guide and he was superb. Beautiful scenery and very informative. Lots of history, wine and good company.
Relaxing, beautiful scenery, great wine, great food! Martin and Linda were perfect hosts! Made it a great day. Take this tour!
We got a lot of interesting information about wine and the local countryside, visited wine cellar with amazing equipment as well as 2 different wineyards, also wine tasting was included, quality of wines was on a good level. It was already our second trip with Offroadsafari
This trip has it all, and I highly recommend it. A great friendly guide - Martin, good wine, beautiful countryside, fairytale scenery, castles, and nonetheless great food and beer at a cozy restaurant. David, who drove us to the winery from our hotel and back, was really nice and informative.
This was an awesome adventure. We were the only couple on our tour. Definitely recommend. The tour the history and the views were amazing.
We spent 6 wonderful hours with or tour guide, Paul. He spent time explaining wine making and bottling, answering all of our questions. After tasting a few varieties we went to the actual vineyards, with more history and descriptions. We were taken into the countryside for lunch before returning. Thanks, too, to our driver, Nikolai, who took us safely to and from our hotel. If you have a free day in Prague, don't miss this opportunity.
This was an absolutely delightful day full of surprises, gorgeous scenery, history lessons, laughs, delicious wine, beer, and food, and new friends. Our tour guide Martin felt like an old friend shortly after meeting him, and he did an excellent job tailoring our experience to our wants, needs, and interests. David, who drove us to the winery from our hotel and back, was also delightful. I highly recommend this trip, and I hope many more people get to know how wonderful of a tour guide Martin is.
Fantastic wine tour. Great scenic tour. Wonderful guide. Absolutely great way to spend a day. We enjoyed the tour and the history lessons and the guides ability to tailor our experience to our interests.
We were 4 girls who were really looking forward to this wine tour and right from the pick up by David to the tour with Martin, everything was absolutely splendid! The excellent wines were just the cherry on the cake. David was super sweet and accommodated our request for gas station coffee as well. We had a lovely drive to the winery with great conversations with David. After reaching we were welcomed by Martin who was an absolute sweetheart as well. Not only did he give us more than enough information on the wines, he also told us a bit about Bohemia and the landscape and the castles in the region. After the winery, Martin stocked 2 bottles of the wines we liked and drove us around showing us beautiful vineyards and the scenery. He also gladly stopped at picturesque locations and indulged us by taking the best pictures and videos of our experiences. He even made us the most epic reel! Afterwards we had authentic Czech food and beer at the nearby bar and even more wonderful conversations with Martin. He even stored water and chocolate biscuits for us to nibble on. Our Day tour was absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend off road safari for this boozy wine tour. Not being a fan of white wine, I absolutely loved some of the wines at Johann W winery and even bought a couple of bottles back home. Definitely add this tour to your travel plans when you’re in Prague next. You will come back a bit tipsy and with the best photos (thanks to Martin)!
We very much enjoyed the wine tasting and tour of the barrels. The winery is beautiful. The tour of the countryside was beautiful. Lunch was delicious in a quaint cozy restaurant. Our tour guide Martin was friendly and gave very good details and tour of the countryside. Everything was great - - would have liked to spend a little more time at the winery as opposed to the time in the countryside since the weather wasn’t the greatest and since the winery was very beautiful.
We booked this as Prague Castle was closed due to EU Summit. I could of not been more pleased. You go to only one winery but the wine was very good. I bought 2 bottles to use during out trip. You go up into the Vineyard, get a history lesson and see parts of the country side that you may of never seen. To top it off it includes a wonderful, relaxed lunch at a beautiful, cozy restaurant.
Stormy weather added to the entire ambiance, and Peter our guide was a great host and guide. The winery specializes in white wines and has a few reds.
Martin was an excellent and friendly guide. All the wines were excellent. The vineyards that we visited were absolutely beautiful. Wonderful views of the countryside.
What a wonderful way to spend a day out of the city life of Prague; a winery tour and tastings, vineyards, beautiful countryside with ancient castle views, the best table in the restaurant for an abundant Czech lunch and cold beers. Thanks Martin for providing a knowledgeable, well rounded day trip of wine, food, sights and history of this bohemian region. Highly recommend!
Guided trip with Offroadsafari.cz I recommend to all who want to taste Czech wine in the wonderful winery Johann, travel with the terrain car along the vineyards, with a lot of interesting things about the Czech Central Mountains. Great day, great people, excellent wine and in the vineyards we tasted grape wine in a huge amount.
We were the only 2 on our wine tour in February of the Johann W winery in NW Bohemia. We started off with a tour of the wine making facilities that are very modern. The staff was very helpful at not only answering questions about their process, but also discussing recent history with winemaking in the region and the new efforts post communism. Martin was incredibly knowledgeable not just about wine and this vineyard, but was so open with us about the long history in the region. He was able to point out cool geographic features, and landmarks like the many medieval castles. The tour also showed us a facinating Jewish cemetary which taught us about the effects of WW2 on the area. Martin mentioned other tours he has around these topics. We finished our day at a local restaurant that could support our gluten free and vegetarian diets, while specializing in traditional Czech food. Totally this experience to see the countryside and history outside of Prague.
Truly enjoyed the day. Very relaxed and informative. The Sommelier is very knowledgeable and the guide was versed in the history and culture of the area and country. Beautiful and enlightening. Panning for Red Garnnet was a fun way to end the day.
The wine tour wasn't like any other we have been on. We didn't visit as many wineries, although we did get to visit the countryside and experience the area. Lunch was fabulous and we had a great day learning about the wines and countryside in the Czech Republic.
Had a great time and learned much about wine and paring with different foods. Lunch was amazing and staff incredible !!!
It was too cold to be walking around and so we booked a private car tour. Thank you Patrick for an amazing night and all the beautiful spots that we would not have seen without you driving us around! Thank you too for taking us to Nase Maso -we had to go back to the place a second time before leaving.
Paul our guide was excellent. He knows the region, the wine, and how to tell great stories! Our group really enjoyed the day. Highly recommended if you want to get out of the city to drink wine, see the countryside, castles, and vineyards.
Our wine tour was such an enjoyable experience. The vehicles and drivers were very nice, the tour guides were fun to be with, easy to listen to, and very knowledgeable. We were able to see areas of the Czech Republic that we would not have on our own, we tasted and learned about some really nice wines, we got a bit of history information included which was wonderful, and we had an exceptional lunch. The tour was paced very well, with breaks, snacks, and activities throujghout. We would definitely recommend this tour!
Overall, this was a wonderful tour. It was great to get out of Prague and see the countryside, which was beautiful. The scenery is amazing and our guide (Paul/Pavel) was excellent. A bit too heavy on the wine information (to my personal interests), but those who love wine and want to learn a ton about it, will be very pleased.
We had such an amazing day! We tasted fine wine, visited some historic landmarks and two vineyards where we had the opportunity to taste the grapes and had a lovely 3-course dinner with a fun group of people! The organisers were very informative, friendly and overall amazing! It was a great experience and I highly recommended it to anyone visiting the area!
We had a great time during our tour. Paul offered great incite into not only the grape growing and wine making process and the history of the area, but even more fascinating was the glimpse into life in the Czech Republic during and post communist period. Great stories from his personal and professional experience. A terrific day, the wine and food were great. A really great and memorable experience!
I have only good experience with Offroadsafari. My boyfriend and I were already on two expeditions, and it was always a great day. This time we were on a tour of the vineyards and the Czech countryside. Our guide told us a lot of interesting information about the wine we tasted and about the surrounding countryside. He answered every question we could think of. Thank you for a nice day and lots of new information. We will definitely come again.
