Nice, clean and well located. We asked for the breakfest to go because we had a one-day trip and they prepared it for us without any problem.

As a professional hospitality graduate who has worked at hotel front desks in Switzerland, I am absolutely appalled by the standard of service and management at The Martin Hotel. We stayed here as a corporate group for a week, and the experience was a textbook example of how NOT to run a 4-star property. Here are the critical issues that any business traveler or tourist should be aware of: 1. Severe Service Failure & Disrespect to Guest Integrity Near the end of our stay, the main light in my room stopped working. When I reported this to the front desk, the staff member chose to completely ignore the maintenance request, operating under the insulting assumption that I was lying or making it up. I literally had to escort the receptionist to my room and demonstrate the broken light multiple times before she finally admitted there was an actual issue. Questioning a guest’s integrity instead of taking immediate action is an unforgivable sin in hotel operations. 2. Poor Room Assignment & Hygiene Overlook On our very first day, they assigned a room to my colleague that had a severe, unbearable sewage smell coming from the bathroom. A room with such obvious drainage issues should have been flagged as OOO (Out of Order) or OOS (Out of Service) in the PMS. Forcing a corporate group to check into a foul-smelling room shows a complete lack of basic housekeeping and room status control. 3. Functional Deception (The "AC" and the Complementary Tray) The air conditioning is practically non-existent. In the heat of June, the room was stifling, and the system did absolutely nothing to cool the space. It seems the management is fully aware of their collapsing hardware (broken lights, useless AC, smelly pipes). To compensate, they heavily overload the room with Nescafe 3-in-1 instant coffee packets and tea bags. It is a pathetic attempt to use cheap amenities as a "band-aid" to distract guests from the lack of basic comfort. A genuine 4-star hotel should invest in real maintenance, not in cheap instant coffee to cover up an unlivable room temperature. Verdict: The location and breakfast are decent, but they cannot save this property from its terrible service culture and decaying hardware. Front desk training is urgently required. If you value professional respect and basic room comfort, look elsewhere in Prague.
We stayed at Martin Hotel in Prague for New Year’s Eve and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The location is excellent — we were able to walk to most places or easily hop on a tram, which made getting around very convenient. We traveled with our dog, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated. It made the stay feel even more comfortable. The only downside was the parking. It was full for a day and we could not park there, and for the remaining days, we had access, but we felt it was a bit expensive and not located directly at the hotel, as it’s a few streets away, which can be slightly inconvenient. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for its location, comfort, and friendly service.
I stayed at Martin Hotel Prague during Christmas 2025. The bed was comfortable, and the sitting area in the room was good. The morning breakfast was also nice, with a good variety of food. However, the bathroom was very small and not comfortable enough to take a proper bath. At night, I was disturbed by noise from other rooms, which made it hard to relax. Also, the heater or air conditioner was making noise throughout the night, and because of this, I could not sleep well. Overall, some parts of the stay were good, but the noise and small bathroom affected my experience.
Disappointing stay — not what I expected from a 4-star hotel. Our room was small, dark, and had a noticeable musty smell, making it uncomfortable for two people., and breakfast was below expectations. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel for a relaxing holiday.
