Golden Crown

What a lovely hotel! We arrived at almost 1am and met Ladislav on reception. It was the day of the air traffic control meltdown that cancelled and delayed flights so we were in fact 6 hours late, but this was not a problem at the hotel. We had to arrange our own Uber from the airport as our transfer booked through Easyjet was a no-show, and we had given a lift to a lady on her own who was also stranded at the airport. She wasn’t staying in our hotel but the Uber driver would not stop the car to drop her off at her hotel even though it was on the way. So she came to reception with us to ask directions and Ladislav was brilliant and printed out a Google maps sheet showing her the route. We would like to give him recognition for the that. The hotel is directly opposite the rotating head of Franz Kafka and in a really good spot for sightseeing. The rooms had everything we needed, clean bathroom, good breakfasts. And the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel (the breakfast room in the morning) served delicious food. We would stay here again for sure.

The room was extremely clean and spacious. The location was perfect. I was within walking distance of old town Square and right around the corner from a public transportation hub. The staff were always helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

The location of the hotel was amazing, and the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. However, the rooms were very small and very dirty. There was dust everywhere, and I even had to ask them to change the bed sheets. On top of that, it was unbearably hot because the air conditioning wasn't working. It was a really disappointing experience. Considering the price we paid, we expected much better. We're very disappointed.

We booked the Hotel Golden Crown very last minute as our previous hotel booking was cancelled due to a fire. After a long travel day, I didn’t look too much into this hotel; but I’m so glad we stayed here. We had the attic suite and it was HUGE with a great king sized bed and massive bathroom. The front desk staff was awesome and able to accommodate our last minute booking. The location is very central to everything in old town and has great access to transit to get to Prague Castle. The surrounding area had lots of food options and felt very safe. It was also quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in Prague.
