Century Old Town Prague - Mgallery Collection

One of the best hotel-experiences I’ve ever had. Right from Day 1 when my daughter and I arrived to the last hour before we left everything about this place was just so perfect and pleasant. It’s central location is a huge plus as we walked most places. Top marks for ALL the Staff we came across. Such a joy to be greeted and supported by smiley, happy faces whether in reception, the dining area, bedrooms, just everywhere. Superb buffet breakfast as well as cooked service. Plenty of choice. The beds were extraordinarily comfortable, lovely clean rooms. We were given a beautiful surprise on my daughter’s birthday. Waiting for us in the room was a bottle of bubbly and fruit selection with a card saying Happy Birthday. We were so touched by this gesture. Thank you to whoever organised this special gift. We love you all. Even at checkout we didn’t feel we were rushed in any way. In fact the staff in attendance kept our luggage safe until flight time and we were sent away with chocolates. I would recommend this hotel over and over.

We would especially like to thank Ms. Daniella and Ms.Evelyn who welcomed us with such kindness and professionalism during our check-in. Her attention to detail, warm smile, and genuine care made us feel valued from the very first moment. Together with the rest of your wonderful team, your sincere hospitality, attentiveness, and dedication made us feel completely at home. You turned our stay in Prague into a truly special and unforgettable experience. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. We look forward to staying with you again in the future.

Really disappointing Pros: - Room was clean - Bed was comfortable - Great location (safe and central) - Good sound proofing For many people that would be enough to book this hotel - and usually I would agree, but for the price point and the major shortcomings listed below I would never stay here again or recommend this hotel. Cons: - Horrible air conditioning - worst I’ve ever experienced in a hotel - had to request maintenance check it was even working (which it was, it just couldn’t cool the room below 25 degrees - which is insane) they ended up giving us a fan to help cool the room down - Terrible housekeeping service - the worst/most lazy I have ever experienced - Stayed 3 nights - water in the room was never replaced once - Tiny rooms - even by European standards, both the room and bathroom were about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of the other rooms we stayed in across Europe - Shower gel, body lotion, hand soap were all empty and not refilled, even left the lid off of the bottle and left it on the counter so the housekeeper would see it was empty to refill it, shockingly returned to the room to see the bottle still empty with the lid off laying on the counter - Some of the staff were excellent and very friendly, some didn’t even look you in the face and rolled their eyes when we requested towels I have stayed at other MGallery properties and they were really lovely. This property did not even compare to the others we have stayed at and really really fell short. I can’t recall any hotel in recent history I couldn’t wait to get out of - except this one.

Our stay was very nice, we arrived around 11Am and the room was ready for us which was a nice surprise. We stayed in the Kafka suite which was beautifully decorated, modern, clean as a whistle and all fixtures fittings and appliances looked virtually brand new. The Bathroom was great with good water pressure in the shower and a lovely big bath, all soaps & shampoo's etc. included were of a high quality. The bed is very comfortable with warm quilting and soft pillows. Overall location of the hotel is great as it is very close by to the old town, only a 5 minute walk and you are in the centre of all the action. The hotel bar is good, nice selection of drinks but my only suggestion is that the background music should be played a bit louder to give a better atmosphere as it is very quiet in there. we had breakfast at the hotel which again exceeded our expectations with a large variety of very high quality food, freshly cooked omelettes and drinks. Overall I would definitely stay here again if I was back in Prague, thank you for a great stay!
