Hiring a private driver and guide for our ride from Porto to Lisbon is definitely the way to go! We stopped at three great places along the way. First, we stopped in Alveiro, a quaint town with canals and a beautiful seaside. Next, Nazaré, home to massive surfing waves! The views were amazing! Last stop: Óbidos, a picturesque medieval walled town with winding streets, quaint shops and restaurants, and the original Ginjinha! Yum! Joaquim, our guide, shared interesting facts and history at each stop and provided door-to-door service from Porto to Lisbon in a comfortable, relaxing ride!

Having a private driver from Porto to Lisbon was the best decision we made! He took us to Aveiro, Nazare, and Obidois and we were able to get out and see the highlights of each city. Our driver was Joaquim A. And we loved him. He was so nice and knowledgeable about the area. We really had fun with him!

Filipe is my kind of Professional Guide. Early on, during our private drive from Lisboa to Porto, Filipe asked the right questions, to learn how we would get the most out of our day. When he learned that we live in a city far from the ocean, he proposed taking rural roads to the ocean. And this is the contrast that we needed. Quiet “real Portugal” country roads, leading to hidden ocean vistas. A magnificent drive!

My friend and I had the best experience with this private tour. It was by far one of our favorite experiences traveling from Porto back to Lisbon. Luís was an amazing tour guide even made us reservations at a really incredible seafood place in Nazaré. I highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking about it and I couldn’t recommend Luís enough!

Unfortunately, the experience started poorly. Despite confirming the pickup arrangements two days in advance, the driver arrived over an hour late with no call or message. We had already checked out and were left standing outside in the cold with our luggage for over an hour. Had we been informed, we could have waited comfortably at the hotel. The delay also disrupted our plans for the rest of the day, as we had another appointment in Lisbon that evening. The car also did not appear to be properly cleaned. Delays happen, but the lack of communication and consideration was very disappointing.

Great transport and tour from Porto to Lisbon with stops in Aveiro, Costa Nova, Nazare', and Óbidos. Filipe gave us a good amount of time to explore each stop, got us some local delicacies to try, and brought us to a great seafood restaurant in Nazare'. Filipe was very easy to work with, a great communicator, and was very responsive.

Luis is excellent driver , very friendly and kind person, that was a perfect transfer with great food, Luis was taking care of us making sure we saw all interesting spots, made a reservation to a great restaurant with delicious food and at the very end made sure we could enter our new place of stay! An Absolute Highlight of Our Trip! Filipe hosted my wife and me on a private charter from Porto to Lisbon, and the entire experience was flawless from start to finish. The booking and communication months prior were seamless, and the execution on the day was top-tier. Exploring Aveiro, Coimbra, and Óbidos alongside a true local was incredible. Walking the streets, sampling regional food and drink, and learning the history made for an unforgettable journey. Filipe is a fantastic communicator, an exceptionally safe driver, and provided wonderful recommendations for the rest of our travels. Our driver was Joaquim. He was amazing and kind. He picked us up with a treat of pastel de natas and water for the roadtrip. He was very helpful navigating the different towns that we visited. He knew the best local spots. Lunch is not included but he found us one of the best lunch spots on the beach. The service and food were amazing.

Joaquin is very kind and polite. We would have rated it higher if Joaquin would have offered more information on the history, Etc. Maybe it was his English? I just want to offer suggestion. He was very nice.

If you’re not in a hurry to get to Porto or Lisbon, this is definitely the way to go. Our driver, Joaquim, was prompt and courteous and safe. We opted for the four stop transfer. We visited. Aveiro, Coimbro, Nazare, and Obidos. Each was unique and different. I would definitely recommend using the service. We were very happy

Absolutely incredible experience with Felipe. We started off in Porto with stops in Coimbra, Nazare, Obidos, and a few more quick stops along the way for amazing views. Comfortable car with water provided. Felipe took us to the best stops for a quick morning coffee and a delicious lunch. I could not recommend booking this more.

It is so restful to have a private tour guide. You don’t have to worry about anything except getting in the car. Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. I 100% recommend traveling this way.

Driver was very kind and helped us to figure out which towns to stop in based on what we wanted to experience which was nature. He was also flexible with pick up time which was hugely helpful. Highly recommend!

Had great expectations from other reviews, but was very disappointed. Felipe was supposed to be our driver/guide, but was swapped at the last minute. I think he dropped us for a more lucrative trip to Spain. Replacement driver was late and spoke marginal english. Nice man, but basically paid a premium for an Uber driver for eight hours. Enjoyed the planned stops, but very little added value for the premium cost.

A great day. Our driver showed up on time and took us to three cities. He was flexible with time and allowed us to explore as we wished. He gave us recommendations when asked but was also respectful to not be too pushy. We really enjoyed this day. A much better way to Lisbon from porto than driving ourselves. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful views of the country, including stops at three very different cities (flexible): coastal, medieval, religious. Luis was a very knowledgeable and safe driver. Our driver got sick the night before and we had a different driver for the trip. We were not notified by the tour operator or Viator and it took a while to confirm the change in drivers.

Personally we think this was the best way to travel to see the part of the country otherwise missed. From the ancient medieval town to the Venice of Portugal, you won't be disappointed. Our driver Felipe took us for an authentic seafood lunch and stopped at small towns along our way. Beautiful drive and great driver! Thank you Felipe!

We really enjoyed our trip to the 3 villages along the way from Porto to Lisbon. Paolo was right on time, drove efficiently and quickly between each place and gave us a wonderful description along the way. And he arranged for an amazing lunch at a fabulous fish restaurant in Navare. Great service with a friend now. 👍😎

I really enjoyed seeing the countryside between Lisbon and Porto. The 3 stops we made were lovely and we wish we had more time to explore the areas. I would have been OK with loosing the boat ride in Aviero if it meant we would have had more time to explore Obidos and Nazare. We barely had time to powerwalk to the view points and back. My biggest complaint. We did not sign up for a tour with lunch because we are Vegan and knew it would be a challenge. We were prepared to get something on our own. Paulo arranged for a seafood restaurant to make us lunch without asking us if we wanted him to do that. When we arrived, it was clear that they didn’t offer Vegan options normally. We were served eggplant smothered in cheese they insisted was Vegan. Which completely stressed me out. Paulo insisted my husband order a bottle of green wine. I don’t drink (which I told him multiple times) and my husband had never had it (and didn’t enjoy it). We thought Paulo wanted it but he ordered a beer. He was then served a rare steak with 2 runny eggs on top and fries. We both would have been OK just eating the eggplant (we picked off the cheese) but we were served huge bowls of chopped stewed veggies with falafel on top. It would have been OK if they weren’t drowning in olive oil. I paid for eating that the rest of the day with trips to the W/C. The worse part was Paulo went outside to smoke a cigarette and stuck us with the 111 euro bill. Which was more expensive than any other meal we had our entire trip. We really felt taken advantage of. We appreciate personal service but we know more about our guide’s personal life than we learned about the towns we visited. He also complained about the tolls and parking expenses.
