Itinerary
This is where we start the walking tour at the top of Aliados.
We descend Aliados, Porto's largest avenue.
Known for its long queues, Livraria Lello is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. The entrance is paid and the waiting time extensive so we do not enter this space.
Right next to the narrowest house in Porto, this church stands side by side with the Igreja dos Carmelitas.
Porto's university life is vibrant and we have plenty to share about urban legends, centenary cafes and strange rituals.
Commonly known as the Jardim da Cordoaria, this haunting garden is a special place to Porto's inhabitants.
The Portuguese Photography Centre is located in the former Porto prison and now houses a large part of the country's photographic heritage. We will not go inside it during our tour.
Nasoni's creation stands above everything else in the city and it's probably Porto's most photographed monument next to the bridge.
Located in the old jewish quarters, the Vitória viewpoint has one of the most beautiful views to the city.
One of Porto's most charismatic streets, Rua das Flores was once known for its jewellery shops.
One of the most beautiful train stations in the world.
The place where Porto begun to exist, at the top of Morro da Pena Ventosa, the cathedral holds many stories and anecdotes to share. We will not go inside the cathedral.
We will mention this beautiful bridge from afar when the opportunity comes.

When visiting a new city, we really like to get our bearings early, and this walking tour was exceptional at doing so. Our guide Adriano was excellent -- witty, engaging, knowledgeable, and ready with food and sightseeing recommendations. Time flew by as Adriano shared the context and history of Porto and many of its most poignant sites. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Perfect Porto Tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Adriano. A local resident, Adriano is passionate about his beautiful city. We gained great insight into its history and character. Adriano is interesting to listen to and the time flew by. Everyone should do this tour at the start of their stay in Porto as to understand the city and its people only enhances a trip. Thank you Adriano
Not the best walking tour because we varely walked anywhere and hardly saw any of the city. Stood around for so long we had aching legs and even though we are interested in history, there was too much information to take in and we stood still for most of the tour. Really disappointed as it put a dampener on the start of our trip. Guide very knowledgeable but did not manage to read when he had talked too much and we had had enough.
Great tour with Jamie. Learned lots about Porto which brought our trip alive!
