It was a great 30 minutes of using the cathedral as a backdrop for the light show. Thought it was good value for money.

Spiritus, an audiovisual experience, pairing light, music, and architecture in the heart of Clérigos Church, in Porto. Created by OCUBO, this immersive experience takes its religious location as a premise to carry the spectator on a spiritual and emotional journey. Freely inspired by the poem “In the end, the best way to travel is to feel”, by Álvaro de Campos, the show brings to the fore the existentialism of Fernando Pessoa’s heteronym where the concept of being the union of the individual with the outside world. With an abstract look and intense soundtrack, the church architecture’s filled with visual poetry, lightness, and sync.

Mega lohnt sich sehr tolle Lichtshow !!!
What an outstanding experience. So moving and beautiful. Would highly recommend it to others. While it is in a church it is not religious.
This was a brilliant, beautiful, immersive show. All of us, from our 10 year old son and up, enjoyed it throughout. 30 minutes is a good length of time. We definitely recommend it.
Very interesting immersive light show and not something you will see every day in a church. We went to the 945 show and there was only about 20 people so there was lots of room to watch the show
It is a wonderful experience of 30 minutes of lights. I would recommend, it worth trying the experience.
This sound/light show was a feast for the eyes and ears. We appreciated the setting and enjoyed the spectacle.
Something different. Something fun. Something interesting. Wasn’t quite sure what to expect but this light and laser show in a church makes good use of the architecture and environment to keep it interesting. Short and sharp. It certainly worth it.
A must-see in a very central location. Unlike anything I've seen before. Would recommend to anyone. Excellent.
It's beautiful. Kind of strange. Amazing colors. A true treat for the eyes. Having it inside this old and beautiful church lead me to see the colors through my spirit! Highly recommend.
What a beautiful church, the light show was amazing. Definitely a must to see. Pre bought our tickets.
A must see Definitely worth the money seeing a show like this in an historic Church
Immersive experience in church downtown Porto. Beautiful building and really good light show set to music. Show lasts for around 30 minutes. Essential to book beforehand. Highly recommend. Great outdoor bar called BASE nearby for pre / after drinks.
Such an amazing experience we were blown away by the effects.., who knew light could be so powerful ! Highly recommend attending this experience when visiting Porto.
It was a beautiful light show. The architecture of the church is amazing. Recommend sitting in the back so you can see the whole show.
This was fine an average experience for me, if I'm honest. It's a 30-minute light and music show projected onto the interior of Clérigos Church, and the production itself is well done. The visuals are nicely put together and the setting is beautiful, so credit where it's due. It just wasn't the most keen thing I did in Porto. Worth knowing that a lot of the detail is up on the ceiling, so you spend a fair bit of the show looking up. That said, the kids there absolutely loved it, so if you're visiting with family it could be a good shout. For a short, low-cost activity to fill an evening it's perfectly pleasant just don't expect it to be the highlight of your trip.
Nothing unique about the experience. The lighting was not themed, nor did it have a story behind it. The lighting could have been in any building, anywhere in the world. We were disappointed. I would recommend skipping it. We saw the church and went up the tower during the day time- and it was lovely. The lighting show.. not so much.
Situated at the Clerigos Church this light show is a must see on your trip to Porto, they have done an excellent job in producing a spectacular show. The only thing I will say is as a lot of detail is on the ceiling prepare to be looking up a lot! For €10 each it really is excellent value.
Makes you a little dizzy. Very colorful but seemed sacrilegious. Would like to have seen the church without the colorful lights. Much cheaper if you buy tickets there.
It was magical. The lights and lasers were great, the sounds and music made it even more special.
It was a nice light show that displays the architecture of the church. The length of the show is enough, if it was longer I would be over it. It was a neat experience!
Very boring and repetitive Should have been a ten minute duration at best
Amazing and unique sensory experience. Highly recommend for everyone. Clerigos was the perfect venue for this immersive experience.
A wonderful experience. We have done another of these shows in Montreal as well. The size of the church limits the experience but still worth the price. Sit as far back as possible as much happens on the ceiling.
The video and laser show was really well done. 30 minutes was a perfect length. I thought it was a good value for the money.
I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that 2 of the projectors were broken so the entire left side of the church was not lit up. Ruined the symmetry and the effect of the lights. A member of staff came in not long after it started but did nothing so they must have known it wasn't working.
Show was a great experience. But we found out you can buy tickets at the door for €10. ... single adult ticket not including climb. Cheaper price than what's online.
We waited in tough sun until 6:10 pm to get in, we were One of the first, the row of visitors had approx. 100 m. We could also wait in the cool church and get an Impression of the curch.
This light show was okay, but it wasn’t a life changing experience or provide any kind of educational value. The light show was beautiful for sure, but after a few minutes of staring at a ceiling my neck began to tire and the light show became very repetitive. I had imagined there would be some sort of storyline or informational aspect of the performance, but it was really 15+ minutes of laser lights being projected onto beautiful historical church walls. It’s a great activity to kill time, but I wouldn’t necessarily recommend or rave about it to anybody.
Great experience! The combination of a beautiful old church and the innovative light and sound show really made this unique. Price is very affordable.
A very interesting short video mapping show. Good value for money for what you get.
Amazing experience really pretty!!
Went to the Optimus immersive experience - meh. great effects but kind of “sound and fury signifying nothing”. No story - or at least none that made any sense to us. Ok way to spend a half hour and at 10 euros - it’s affordable. Just don’t go in with high expectations. We didn’t - so we weren’t too disappointed
It was well worth going to see the lights at the church.was very charming and a wonderful experience
Great idea, we really enjoyed it. The only issue was the rudeness of some of the other people there who chatted throughout. This did taint the experience for us.
Really unique and interesting experience.
Awesome immersive experience. Relaxing yet inspiring.
The show is very very short at 30 minutes but after the first ten minutes of stimulation to the senses-- after that interest was lost since it became repetitive in design. I was expecting more of a laser light experience like a planetarium. Don't really recommend.
Nice use of sound & vision effects. We really enjoyed the show.
Mesmerizing light show with music. Very creative. Must see!
This is my second time visiting Spiritus but this time I was able to bring my family. It is a great relaxing and immersive experience.
Phantastic show, good music: it' s good value! Easy to book, easy to find at Clerigo's Church, next to Livraria Lello.
Best sit near the back to fully appreciate the whole experience. Music and light show complemented eachother extremely well.
I've read the reviews just to check I'm not going insane! I didn't think this was an engaging experience for 45mins. I didn't see/feel a story line. The music style didn't change at all. Some elements were good but overall I wouldn't revisit. It was cold and there is no toilet.
On a recent trip to Porto, my husband and I decided to visit the Spiritus show. My husband enjoys the architecture of old church's (and this one certainly is very beautiful) and we thought this would be a different way of experiencing that. We booked our tickets online before we arrived in Porto and found them to be of good value at £9 each. The church was only about half full during our show so you definitely could purchase on the day if needed if you were visiting during the quieter periods. We had our ticket scanned at the door and were then free to sit wherever we wanted. I would recommend arriving somewhat early so you're one of the first people in if visiting as we ended up sat in a middle row which caused a fair amount of neck cramp from looking up by the end of the show. The back rows naturally fill up first. The show itself was good, it certainly was something a bit different and it was a new way of taking in the interior of the church however, it ultimately become a bit samey. The show lasts for half an hour and honestly, I think half that time would have sufficed. For the last 10 minutes or so I was a little bored but I suppose that's a matter of taste. I found it to be a little disjointed, I was expecting a story to unfold or something similar but that didn't appear to be the case. It was just a variety of lights and again, they were really well done but it did become a bit repetitive. Cheap experience if you've got some spare time in the city but easily skippable if you have limited time to and other things you want to do whilst visiting.
Rubbish. A wonderful opportunity sadly poorly produced
Absolutely fantastic experience - the effects are superb, and the walls and ceiling of the church make a perfect canvass. It cost 10 euros each, lasted about 35 minutes, and was well worth it. We bought our tickets at the church earlier in the day, and were advised to sit as far back as possible, which we did. This gave us the best view, and less of a stiff neck!
Sit in the back few rows of the church for best experience. A great immersive light show for 30 mins. We really enjoyed it
Just wow a really engaging 30 mins… stunning go and see this amazingly big display of sound and light in such a beautiful building… highly recommend
Highly recommend! Actually better than I expected. Never been to something like this. Went last minute as something to do before I wrapped up the evening. Glad I went!
