Our tour guide Nuno Silva, made this tour one of the best we have ever experienced. Nuno showed us traditional Portuguese restaurants, incredible food and drink, helped us shop for wedding gifts for our grand daughter. Took us to some wonderful attractions (walking one of the 6 bridges). We are in our 80’s, Nuno watched over us closely to make sure we weren’t getting overly tired or exhausted. Sail boat cruise on Duro river was great. Kudos to crew , Rodrigo and Hugo. Thank you Nuno for making our day in Porto very special
Porto is a beautiful city . Take time to savor it. This tour showed us some of the smaller things that make Porto such a special place.
By far Touch Tours is the BEST tour company in Portugal This is a top notched company focused on each and every customer We did two tours with them while in Porto and we had the best two days ever! Andre is amazingly kind and genuine tour guide , he is flexible and his attention to detail is impeccable He is more than a tour guide, he is your friend He really loves Portugal and wants to make sure his customers feel the same way We have travelled across Europe extensively and our 2 days with Touch Tours was by far the best tours we have ever taken You are missing out on an amazing experience if you dont book with Touch Tours they are simply the best The reviews speak for themselves Thank you to Andre and his amazing team We love you and will be back to visit Portugal!
Andre was absolutely perfect. From the moment we met, his great sense of humor and friendly ways made us feel welcomed. His recall of history along with his passion and inside knowledge was extraordinary. I would highly recommend touch tours.
Andres was an awesome, knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who aim to please. He showed us things around Porto that we would’ve never got to see without his assistance. He was interesting, concerned about Our Experience, and in short, the tour was wonderful. I cannot recommend Touch Tours more highly.
Nuno Silva was a great guide who showed us all the highlights of Porto. He was knowledgeable, fun and cared about our safety. The highlights our visit to the historical section of Porto. The best part was the sailboat ride on the right. Nuno took us to a great restaurant where we had a traditional meal.
Two days before the tour, they tell me they won't be able to do the boat tour, for an entirely foreseeable reasons. Super frustrating. The boat tour was what I wanted most. Their alternative was not kid friendly at all (i have two kids) The notice was so late, that all the other good tours were booked. This ruined our one full day in Porto.
We used Touch Tours and they were great to work with and the Julio our tour guide was awesome and so knowledgeable that he made our trip to Porto one we will always treasure. Highly recommend and ask for Julio!

Fun full day adventure through three wineries of the Douro River Valley region. Our tour guide Nuno was knowledgeable and made sure at all times we were comfortable. We were a small group of 8 and I didn’t feel rushed from one spot to another. The places we went to were very generous with their tastings, you can definitely get your money’s worth. Make sure to: bring water as there weren’t many places to get some and anti car sickness meds as some of the roads were very twisty.
Nuno was fantastic! He was the most wonderful guide and the day was absolutely fantastic. Cannot recommend this enough. Second year in a row doing the tour.
Nuno was an excellent guide - we had such a fun time in Duoro Valley!
This was an excellent tour. David, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable in the history of Porto and of Portugal. He took pride in all that he shared. And it was awesome seeing the Porto Cathedral, the beautiful Douro River, the Mercado in Bolhao, the Sao Bento train station etc. It was worth every penny. Thank you David!🇵🇹😊 We hope to one day come back and visit this beautiful place.
We’ve traveled all over Europe and by far, Vasco was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. Not only that, he is one of the best human beings I’ve ever come across. He’ll treat you like family!
This tour was amazing but what made it the best was our tour guide Vasco!! He was spectacular, he never rushed us & was so personable. The Douro Valley is beautiful, however any tour with Vasco would be amazing!! We have made a lifelong friend with Vasco & will always remember the Douro Valley as the best day ever, thank you Vasco
Nuno was a great tour guide. It was a relaxing go with the flow experience. We never felt like we needed to hurry up and the tour was tailored to what the group wanted to see.
I highly recommend this tour. I would suggest to do this tour on one of your first days in Porto. You learn so much and see so much that you know how to plan your next few days! I was very impressed 👏
We were met on time by Nuno, he was friendly and knowledgeable throughout the trip. His knowledge of Portuguese history and how it links to world history is outstanding. The boat trip was excellent. We could not of booked a better day in Porto. Thank you.
Alex was awesome! Super informative & brought us to try a traditional Portuguese sandwich when we told him we were interested in food!
We spent a fabulous day in the company of Alex who drove us all around this characterful city - it was indeed a small group, with only the two of, so we had his undivided attention. We saw the historical highlights, the modern sea side area, and had some excellent lunch recommendations. The afternoon sailing experience from the marina up to the Louis 1 bridge was a nice touch and our two companions were very entertaining. Alex was very knowledgeable, passionate and above all a great driver in the challenging traffic conditions.
One of the best tours in a beautiful and enchanting city of Porto..our guide Alex was very kind and patient with us. He imparted great knowledge on the history of Porto, Gaia and Douro etc Would definitely recommend!!!
We used Touch Tours twice over two days. The first day included a Porto city tour with lunch in a local restaurant, plus side trip to the famous university in Coimbra. The second day was a trip through the Douro valley - we were able to sample wine, olive oil, enjoy a boat cruise and have lunch within a beautiful estate. Our guide, Alex, was knowledgeable, attentive, patient and responsive. We learnt a lot from him, both the historical aspects and present day issues in Portugal. Thank you, Alex! All in, I’d highly recommend Touch Tours.
Our guide Alex was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Porto. I th ought we were going to be part of a small group but it turned into a private tour which allowed him to provide a more intimate experience. We enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant and the portions were unreal. Will definitely book with him again.
Our tour guide Maria was excellent source of historical facts about the city of Porto. Her knowledge was amazing. We liked her positive energy , knowledge and suggestions on what to see after the tour .She took us to a neighborhood cafe for lunch and we had a typical Portuguese meal. The tour included a river boat tour and a tour of Poças port wine shop.. I would recommend this tour if you're in Porto.
We had a good day because we decided to make the most of it amongst ourselves but this was very expensive for what it was. I went on many different tours all throughout Portugal and this was way below average in comparison. The tour guide was friendly and not sure if it was because we were the only group that day but did the bare minimum. He would take us to an area and gave us a brief description on the way there in the car. Then we were to walk around by ourselves while he sat in the car on his phone until we came back. There were a lot of annoying instances throughout the day. For example his info weren't even correct as on one occasion he told us we could use the bathroom in a historical famous cafe that was in the middle of a public park. By the time we walked over there by ourselves using Google Maps, we realized it was closed. This tour includes no entrances to anywhere so we could've all done this ourselves by taking a cab for so much cheaper especially with the guide just sitting in his car all day. He would give us 15 min to walk over to a church and return so we had no time to purchase tickets ourselves even if we wanted to. Went to a different church and he told us this one was free to walk in. Walked over only for us to find out it was closed. On Viator, this tour advertises that bottled water are included so we didn't bring any but none were provided. When we asked the guide, he acted like he didn't know. The lunch was good as we went to a local restaurant and tried authentic Portuguese food. River cruise was an hour long boat ride down the river which was pleasant. Wine cellar was okay.

We had the best tour guide, Francisco! It was fun to spend the whole day with him. He was very knowledgeable about Porto’s history and gave some interesting facts. He even went out of his way to show us different areas outside of Porto and personalized certain parts of the tour to our interests.
This tour was adjusted to accommodate our time schedule as we were coming from a cruise. Everyone was very accommodating and nice to deal with. The tour was amazing. Lots of history and a great authentic lunch at a local restaurant.
We saw every part of old town Porto in one day. Alex our guide was excellent with a lot of history and knowledge of Porto. We couldn't have seen so much doing by ourselves.
We had a wonderful day withTiago we did the full day Porto tour Tiago was very knowledgeble and nice he made ours day in Porto a very memorable one.
We had an absolutely fabulous day with Pilar (and special guest Tiago). Pilar was friendly and informative as he showed us the numerous beautiful sights of Porto. We appreciated his educational commentary, and also liked having time to walk around and explore on our own between stops. I highly recommend booking this tour on your first day in Porto, as the information gained will help you appreciate the city on your own later on.
One of our best tours that we have taken. Our guide Joao was very special. He was very considerate, well informed and humorous. He helped us to customize our tour to see all the places we wanted to see. We wish him the very best and we highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide, John, was sensational! His passion for the city of Porto brought us to every stopping point mentioned in our itinerary, and we had plenty of time to take in all the scenery & take pictures! Main Porto sites, shopping, views, wine tasting, lunch, the and Douro River cruise is an excellent package deal for the price!
Our guide Francisco was welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and got the tone of the tour just right. We saw everything in Porto we could have imagined. He explained each site carefully and encouraged us to ask questions. He suggested other places we could visit beyond the tour too. And he bought us pastries and water.
Our tour guide Massimo really made our day very special. His friendly manner and local knowledge was excellent. We loved the Produce markets, particularly the beautiful papaya stall. The boat cruise was a lovely way to end our day. We would highly recommend the tour and our guide. 10/10
We actually did three days of tours with Joao which included the above. He was terrific and the tours could not have been better. Joao was extremely informative and went out of his way to make our trip memorable. Don’t hesitate to hire him.
Saw some nice sites and our tour guide was very knowledgeable but I think it was over priced for what we received.
Great guy great attitude really knew his stuff certainly knew the history of the town in the city couldn’t be happier with a group of six young adults and older people as well
My travel agent booked this tour for me without any input from me, and I was so pleased to have João as my guide and that the tour she selected was this full day tour offered by Touch Tours. João's English is excellent, and his knowledge of his 'home' town was superb .... there was not a question that I asked he couldn't give me the answer and if he hadn't been able, I'm sure he would have looked it up, right then and there. One of the best things about João as a guide was his willingness to adapt the tour to my interests and my abilities ... he went overboard making sure I had a few steps to climb as possible, to the point of picking me up on a couple of occasions so that I didn't have to walk long distances (or uphill) to get back to the car. That was a treat for a 74 year old person who had spent 4 days in Lisbon, chasing after the travel agent who was miles ahead!!! I highly recommend João as a guide and I also highly recommend this particular tour. I felt I really got to see everything that I wanted to see of Porto (plus more) and the cruise on the rabelos and the excellent tour of the Churchill Cellars were bonuses ... both of which are not always offered as part of tours offered by other companies. Thank you João for making this a day I won't forget (and if I do, I have 100s of pictures ... and .... Thank you for not rushing me to take those pictures, the day was perfect. FIVE STARS ....
We chose the private tour, and Julio was an amazing guide who talked with passions of his own town. Speaking French and English perfectly, he was knowledgeable for any questions we had. We learned a lot about the history of Portugal and Porto from the past but also from the more recent years. Sharing a great traditional lunch where we were the only tourists gave us the opportunity to talk about different things out of the book...always nice. :-) He gave us great recommendations for days to come and make us feel like friends all day. Thanks again for the great tim, Julio!
Having a guide telling you some of the history. Our guide was very informative. Enjoyed hoping all over Porto with hum
This was the first tour we did upon arriving in Porto and it was incredible! Joao was our guide, and to say we were impressed is an understatement. I highly recommend this tour and Joao!
Hi! Ended up doing the Douro valley tour. Loved my experience we had excellent guides. Truly enjoyed it. If you have any issues with the reservation call Viator. They work with you. Very accommodating! Thanks 😊
The day was great!! Our guide Francisco was the best!! One of the best day trips we have taken out of any city. Highly recommend.
We just had the most amazing day ever!! Our guide adapted perfectly groups expectations.I would recommend this tour any day. Thanks F… you were simply the perfect host 😃
André was a phenomeno tour guide, very kind, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a great time in Porto
We had the most terrific visit to Porto with zero expectations walking in. We had a weekend to spend in Porto and decided on a full day tour to do as much as we can. This tour was packed with everything Porto has to offer and then some. From history to food, from sights to winery, everything was exceptional at a very decent price. Our tour guide Andre was our driver, guide, photographer, historian, entertainer and felt like a friend by the end of the day. Andre gave us a list of recommendation in the city which was very helpful too. We wholeheartedly recommend this tour as a must even if you are staying longer than we did.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day in Porto, with Bruno as our driver and tour guide. In fact, it was Bruno's knowledge and kindness that made the day so special. He took us to see many significant buildings and places in the city and always took into account my mobility issues. My real interests are history and food and Bruno was able to tell us so much about Porto and its origins. He took us to eat our lunch in a small, local restaurant to enjoy the taste of authentic Portugese food. The River Douro six bridges trip was interesting - another aspect of Porto. We also enjoyed our visit to a winery, where we tasted some excellent port! All in all, this was a wonderful day trip!
Julio was a fantastic and knowledgeable tour guide. It was a very relaxing tour that brought us all around the city of Porto on foot and then up and down the Douro River to see the bridges and the city from the water. We then had an amazing lunch at a local restaurant and a port wine tour and tasting. Our family enjoyed this tour and we highly recommend it.
