Itinerary
The Arrábida Bridge is an arch bridge that crosses the Douro River, connecting Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. It was built in 1963 as a response to the increasing flow of traffic and the need for alternative connections to the old bridges. At the time of its construction, the bridge had the largest reinforced concrete arch of any bridge in the world.
While enjoying a Port wine tasting and chocolates, enjoy the beautiful views of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.
While enjoying a glass of Port wine, enjoy the beautiful views of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. The Ponte Dom Luís I is a true icon of the city of Porto and a marvel of 19th century engineering.
The Dom Luís I Bridge spans the River Douro between Porto on the north bank and Vila Nova de Gaia on the south bank.
There are six magnificent bridges that join the two banks of the Douro River. Have fun on the Six Bridges Cruise and get to know them! Classified as a National Monument the D. Maria Pia Bridge is a railway infrastructure that crosses the Douro River, connecting Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. Designed by Gustave Eiffel, it was once the largest iron arch bridge in the world and is considered one of his greatest masterpiece.
The Infante Dom Henrique Bridge, also known as the Infante Bridge, is a road bridge connecting Vila Nova de Gaia to Porto, over the Douro River, in Portugal. Named in honor of Infante Dom Henrique (He was the main promoter of the Portuguese expansion, the so-called ''Portuguese Discoveries''), he was born in Porto, it is the newest bridge connecting Porto and Gaia.
The São João Bridge was built to replace the D. Maria Pia Bridge, another iconic bridge in Porto. The São João Bridge has become an iconic landmark in the Porto skyline and an important transportation link between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. Interestingly, during the construction of the bridge, archaeologists discovered the remains of a Roman road and a medieval shipyard on the site, providing valuable information about the history of the area.

Beautiful and relaxing experience. Crew was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Would highly recommend.
There were fourteen of us, small children included. Attention , friendliness, and kindness were in abundance throughout our trip. The four port wines selected were delicious. A lovely time on the Duoro. I highly recommend this outing.
Beautiful incredible worth it and very calm trip. Would do it again Everyone was very helpful and tried to give us the best ride posible!
The views, staff, wine and vibes were all around great and amazing loved every minute of it! Truly a great experience and the boat was beautiful and nicely equipped.
It was the most beautiful night we have had in Portugal! The sunset was incredible! The information from our guides and server were phenomenal! I highly recommend to everyone visiting!
The crew was friendly and the boat was clean and comfortable. We went out at sunset and got beatiful pictures of Porto and the bridges. * Don't expect lengthy descriptions of the bridges or wine--I liked that they gave a very brief description of each bridge (just a few words so we could enjoy each other and soak up the views, but they were willing to talk more when we asked questions). * Don't expect music as indicated in description...they did set up a speaker and play music to set the mood as we were nearing the end where they turn the boat to see the sunset, but difficult to hear it over the boat's engine. * We tasted 4 quality port wines. There was no chocolate pairing as advertised. When I asked about it, they brought out a bowl of cheap kettle corn. There is definitely no effort at "pairing" different wines and snacks as indicated so I feel we overpaid for what we received. * This tour starts from the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean so you get to see all the bridges going down the river and coming back. We walked an hour (2 miles) from Porto center...There was not much to see and path was desserted so definitely plan on travelling to the marina by car (or booking a boat trip closer to the city). Note; I didn't see a lot of options on Viator outside of this general location when i was planning our trip, but there are multiple vendors set up along the river in Porto that you could book for less the day of and many offer a glass of wine (if you are mainly looking for a quick 1 hour river cruise) but this is an excellent option if you want to travel at a slower pace where you can take in the sunset and taste multiple port wines.
I really enjoyed the tour and the scenic views of Porto! The team was super nice to us and the wine tasting was a must. It is a really cool way to know the city.
The scenic views were great. That coupled with the viewpoint from the river of places we have seen from land was an excellent want to finish out our week here in Porto. Eduardo and Tomas were great guides, friendly and full of information.
The tour was good but a bit overpriced for what we got. In total 4 small ports and 4 small chocolates. The skipper was awesome! Very friendly, spoke good English (even though he said he couldn’t), very informative and humorous. He made the trip. Wasn’t so keen when we got taken out to sea for the final sunset shot cos the boat was rocking n rolling - freaked me out. When I finally summoned the courage to let him know that, he pulled back and returned to calmer waters - that was very much appreciated.
Great tour with beautiful views of the river, Porto and Gaia! We booked the 7:30 tour and were able to see the sinset from the spot where the rover meets the ocean. The staff were all very helpful and informative and it was so much fun to tase so many kinds of Port wine (we had 4) as well as having some tasty cholocaltes along the way. We went as a family of 5 with a teen and 2 young adults and there were only a few other couples on board so the boat wasn’t too crowded and the staff were able to give everyone the attention they needed. This is a must do activity in Porto!
The boat tour was wonderful and our guide, John, was friendly and so knowledgeable. The port wine and chocolate pairing were very tasty and we took a lot of great pictures. 10/10!
The cruise was amazing. The captain and his first mate were very personable and our tour guide was very knowledgeable. His love for his country & city were very apparent. Thank you, “Varoom” & Captain!!
Our captain was informative and fun. Enjoyed drinking different ports while cruising. (The boat is not like the one in the picture.)
The boat trip is phenomenal! The tour takes you through all 6 bridges and out to the harbor. They provide a flight of 4 local wines and some chocolate, but even better than the wine was the tour guide, Eduard. He was a wealth of information on the history of the town, the bridges, and places to eat and see after the tour, and had a great sense of humor. I can’t recommend this enough. Thank you Eduard and Pedro!
Brilliant experience, the staff were so friendly, the port was delicious and the views were stunning. We only had five of us on the boat so felt like a private hire! Highly recommend!
When the sun set time and great wine tasting moment. When The head of the ship turn to horizon slowly it’s very impressive for me.
The cruise is awesome, you see so much of the city while enjoying Port on a luxury yacht. The organisers so amazing in reachduleing us when we couldn't make our original booking due to traffic delays (FYI Sao Bento to the Harber is about 2hrs in traffic not Google's 30min)
I’m very disappointed on how misleading this boat tour was, based on the description on the website. I had bought the ticket because I thought the team on onboard would talk about the history of the 6 bridges and a bit of about the history of the chocolate and port wine we were going to sample. They did give us 3 glasses of port wine along with a packet of cheap department store chocolates that were opened and distributed in a cup to everyone. After 30 minutes on the boat, we crossed a couple of bridges and were waiting on the crew to give us some basic history on the iconic bridges. When I asked the guide if they were going to speak on the subject matter, he said he didn’t know much about the bridges and maybe I should ask the captain. Anyways my husband and I enjoyed the view and sipped on the port wine realising this is what we were going to get (no guided tour as per website description)
Very friendly service from the crew aboard. It was great taking in the sunset and drinking wine along the way, weather was absolutely perfect. I think it's mandatory to do something on the water while in Porto
The Sailing 360 company did not have our reservation. The woman at the office Bo or something like that said we made the reservation late that day and they did not see it so they did not have a boat or crew.
The views from the river were picturesque. Good value , and the crew were helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend.
Katarina and Eduardo were amazing! We got on the boat promptly and it was a very smooth ride up the river and back down. It was windy and chilly and so they had blankets for us. Delightful! The wines were delicious and the chocolate was fantastic as well. Eduardo was quite knowledgeable about the history of the town, and everything was just stellar. 10/10
Very informative and friendly staff.Great views all the way up the river of both sides, our captain gave us the option to cut short the journey upstream to see the gorgeous sunset from the harbour. Perfect trip with fine port and chocolates
Definitely one of our highlights of our trip to Portugal! We were fortunate to have Eduardo & George as our guides and they were both great! They were kind enough to hold departing for 15 minutes as we were caught in bad traffic on the way to the departure point (note, it took us almost an hour to get there from the center of the city, so plan accordingly!). The weather wasn’t the best, but there was plenty of room on the inside to support our family and one other so we could stay dry. And when there was a pause in the rain, we loved sitting at the second level to take in the sights. The 4 or 5 glasses of different Port wines were plenty and they even kindly provided our daughter with juice as well throughout our tour. I did think that the chocolates would be local or would come with some story like the wines but our daughter was happy nonetheless. Highly recommend!!!
We had a great trip with Liliana and Pedro. They treated us to an extra special Christmas Eve sunset!
Great afternoon spent on the water. Lots of interesting facts shared and was able to answer all our questions. Our guides clearly love their country and sharing its history with visitors. Highly recommend!
Friendly, welcoming and informative staff. A relaxing and enjoyavle tour of the river Douro with great views and interesting information on local history, the bridges, etc. I would highly recommend this tour.
The cruise was a fun time, with lots of beautiful sights to be seen along the way. Pietro and Lilliana were perfect captain and mate for our evening sunset voyage. The only negative is I wish we had a little more wine to enjoy, it was a small sample size, a tasting size, which was the only disappointment, it was really nice wine, but a mouthful amount. Just wish it was slightly a little more to savor. The weather was perfect and had the most spectacular sunset out in the ocean to see. Met an amazing couple from Germany, Monica and Thomal, we had a great evening, would recommend taking this wonderful evening cruise. Thank you to 360 cruise and Jessica who was very helpful with our booking as well.
Our trip started at 6pm with my wife and me, one other couple who we did not know, and a 3-person crew. The crew immediately made us very comfortable and began telling us about the history of the river, the local geography and when/why people started living in the region. Inês soon appeared with the first serving of wine/chocolate and provided a detailed background of how port is aged/bottled and what flavors to look for in the glass. This continued for the next two hours, with more stories, more wine, more chocolates, and incredible views of Porta, Gaia, and the bridges, culminating with an incredible sunset in the harbor. It was our last evening in Porto, and it was filled with laughter and beauty, and I could not recommend it more highly. We even made friends with the other couple and went out to dinner with them after the cruise, so the fun and laughter continued into the night. It was a magical experience, and we are ever grateful to Inês and the rest of the crew.
The staff was friendly and educational!! The Porto wine and chocolates were delicious. I would come again.
I had an amazing experience with the Sailing 360. The boat tour was very well organized, with a caring and professional staff from the beginning. The sailing was quiet and provided beautiful views, creating a perfect climate to relax and enjoy the moment. The wine tasting was a highlight apart: wines of excellent quality, well explained and harmonized with the experience of the tour, which made everything even more special. It was a perfect combination of leisure, good company and amazing flavors. I highly recommend Sailing 360 for those looking for a different, sophisticated and memorable experience. I would definitely repeat!
It was a very good experience. I loved the wines we made the tasting and the sailors were very friendly. The landscapes are beautiful and the culture that exists around the port wine is very beautiful.
Excellent walk. Excellent service. The commander and assistant Tomaz were very attentive, friendly and explained every tour and sights.
It was great! The guide was very friendly and took all the time for the questions that were asked. Also the Port was delicious! Recommended!
I really liked the trip we were super well welcomed by Marlon and Eduardo Marlon translated everything in English and Spanish was super super sympathetic I loved everything on this trip and for next year I will be doing again if possible with Marlon
Good staff, good experience. It was worth it for the boat staff, the views and the quality of service
