Rent An Electric Bike With Bosch Motor

We had an excellent experience renting 2 electric bikes for half a day from Ciclo e-bikes in Porto. We actually went and booked in person the day before and decided to pay a bit extra for the model with gears and straight handle bars. Good choice! Pick up in the morning was super easy and the workings of the bike (power/gears) were explained to us before we rode off. The storage bag on the back was brilliant and the bottle of water much appreciated. We were given a bike lock and a helmet each (mandatory in Portugal now) and headed off on a fantastic ride down the coast. The bikes were super easy and fun to ride. Big thanks to Inês for your kindness and excellent customer service. Definitely recommend hiring your e-bike from here!

Great rental bikes and great suggestions from the staff on where to go. We had a great time visiting beaches and checking out parts of Porto we normally would have never seen.

The experience on e bikes was great,higly recommend it! However the price on site is 50 euros for 2 people + 1child for half day and on tripadvisor I paid 70 euros. I don't understand why this difference in price.

How do I give six stars to this company? The electric bikes are absolutely top of the line with smooth transition between pedal and electric mode. With four modes from eco to turbo you have a choice on how to ride with your comfort zone. My wife and I took the southern route to Capela Chapel do Senhor da Pedra and found it quite an easy bike trip since most of it was on a bike trail. Stopping for a quick drink we headed south to Aguda where we stopped at Chef Maurice for a fantastic lunch on the beach. On returning to the bike shop, Bernardo discussed with us every detail that makes the type of bikes they rent the best. He is a wealth of knowledge from battery to helmets and will answer any questions asked of him. We highly recommend renting a bike and seeing more then the port area of Porto.

Great activity to explore Porto beyond the centre, the ebikes were in great condition and allowed us to cycle all the way to the southern beaches to watch the sunset (while making it back before dark). Staff was very friendly and gave us tips for sightseeing

This was fab. We hadn’t been on electric bikes before and we had great fun. Very efficient service, the chap was really knowledgeable and we rented for the whole day. We went South along the coast mostly cycle lanes. I can highly recommend this. Note that the shop is on the Gaia side of Porto just over the bridge.

Rented amazing Ebikes and self toured south along dedicated bike path along beach for miles....stopped at cafes which are frequent, and used the provided locks w/o problems. Ebikes were in superb shape, easy to use, powerful, and FUN! Highlight of our trip. Great value, friendly English speaking staff; easy in/easy out process. Highly recommend!

What a great find! Thoroughly recommend Ciclo if you are wanting to rent first class electric bikes. Best one in Porto. Could not have had a better experience and electric bikes are a must for Porto and the hills. Completely takes you up the hills with minimal effort, and a complete delight to ride. Run by two great chaps, who absolutely know their business and could not have been more friendly and helpful. The shop is just a very short walk from the Ponte Luis bridge on the Port House side of the river. No trip to Porto should go by without a visit to Ciclo and a bike ride.

Did this tour with my friends, and it was a blast. It was our first time on an electric bike and who would guess an electric bike can climb the hilly Porto. You still need to pedal, but it feels as you are way stronger than you actually are. Also, the story and the fun personality of Filipe made this tour a blast. Thank you again Filipe!

Amazing electric bikes that are really simple to use! And you can adjust the assistance that you want, so you have the option to turn off the engine or to have an higher degree of help for a smoother or faster ride!

As a Dutch family we are used to bike. But not in a hilly city. So we deceided to rent electric bikes! Using electric bikes in Porto is a recommendation. It makes a lot easier and comfortable. The only serious advise is: be careful because Portuguese car drivers are not that used to bikes in traffic! The quality of the hired bikes are perfect, the service of the company is perfect, prices are acceptable. The only advise we have is to find a solution for a map of the city. In these days it must be possible to find an electronic solution. All in all it was a very positive experience.

Today I had my first experience with electric bikes. I have really enjoyed it in the beautiful sunshine of Porto along the river side. It is pleasent and effortless. We rented 2 days the very good quality electric remote bikes that allowed us to do 35 km to go to the seaside in about half an hour. The bikes are adapted to the topography of Porto and the Owner is really professional. You can go with your eyes closed. We paid 30 € the half day. 45 € the whole day

Very welcoming and professional team, providing good advice to choose the option best suited to our 8 year old son. Almost new bikes and in perfect condition. Almost new helmets also offered for safety. And an ideal location which allows you to go along the Douro then on the cycle path which runs along the ocean. One of our best family moments.

Top welcome and very good value for money. The location is super easy to find and allows for easy departures and travel. The bikes are very good and top quality. We took half day and went from gaia to the beaches towards the south after afudara.
