We used this as a form of tourism transportation from Peso de Regua to Lisbon.... allowing us to ride in comfort and see more of the country instead of what we would be limited to on trains. We stopped in Aveiro and Nazare and both were so charming. This is the second tour in a row we did with Endless Weekend. We had the same tour driver - Carlos - who was just as helpful and knowledgeable and wonderful. My family and I love this company. I cannot recommend them enough.

Itinerary
Before or after booking, choose 2 or 3 cities maximum from the following four available stops: Aveiro Coimbra Tomar Fátima Choosing 2 stops creates a more relaxed transfer day. Choosing 3 stops creates a fuller sightseeing day with shorter time in each place. Choosing all 4 cities is not recommended because it makes the day too rushed.
Start the day with private pickup from your hotel or agreed accommodation in Porto. Your luggage travels with you in the vehicle, making this a practical and comfortable city-to-city transfer with sightseeing built in. Begin the southbound route with contextual commentary from your licensed driver-guide. The itinerary is adapted to your selected cities, preferred rhythm and desired arrival time in Lisbon.
Choose Aveiro if you prefer a lighter, colourful and visually oriented stop. This compact visit can include the canal-front atmosphere, façades and the Aveiro Railway Station azulejo panels. The stop is designed for clarity and minimal walking, making it ideal for travelers who want a scenic pause during the Porto-to-Lisbon journey.
If selected, visit the Noeirinha Natural Sea Salt Factory for an introduction to Aveiro’s traditional salt culture. This experience explains how salt production shaped the city’s economy, landscape and lagoon identity.
If selected, enjoy a relaxed 45-minute moliceiro boat ride through Aveiro’s canals. From the water, bridges, façades and canal edges reveal a different rhythm of the city.
Lunch is intentionally flexible and not included in the base price. Depending on your selected route, lunch may take place in or near one of the chosen cities. Guests may choose a relaxed meal, a lighter stop or a quicker lunch depending on the pace of the day.
University of Coimbra — Joanina Library, Royal Palace and Chapel of São Miguel If selected, visit the University of Coimbra, including its most emblematic spaces: Joanina Library, the former Royal Palace spaces and the Chapel of São Miguel. This experience offers a layered understanding of knowledge, ceremony and political authority in one of Europe’s oldest universities.
Coimbra — Historic Centre Orientation Choose Coimbra if you prefer academic heritage, historic streets and cultural depth. This concise orientation introduces Portugal’s university city and its layered identity of knowledge, faith and royal memory. This is not designed as a full Coimbra tour, but as a meaningful stop within a Porto-to-Lisbon journey.
Tomar — Convent of Christ Choose Tomar if you want one of Portugal’s most important historical monuments. The Convent of Christ is closely connected to the Knights Templar and the Order of Christ, with architecture that reflects medieval, Manueline and later monastic layers. This is one of the strongest cultural stops available on the route.
Choose Fátima if you want a reflective, religious or spiritual stop. The Sanctuary of Fátima can include orientation around the sanctuary square, the Chapel of the Apparitions area, the basilicas and time for observation or personal prayer. This stop can be adapted for both pilgrims and travelers who want to understand the site respectfully.

Our guide Carlos was fantastic! We customized our tour from Porto to Lisbon and got to see the Roman aquaduct in Tomar, with a little hike to the Convent of Christ. Visiting the gigantic form of Fatima, we were amazed. Then we finished with the, home of the giant waves, town of Nazare. It was the best thing ever to be delivered from one hotel to the next. All good, all the way through :)
Excellent tour! Our guide Carlos took us from Porto, to Tomar’s Aqueducts, Fatima’s beautiful church, Nazare’s amazing waves, and lastly dropped us off in Lisbon. He was very informative and gave us a lot of information about the Portuguese countryside as we travelled. Conversations were fun and engaging. Carlos went out of his way to accommodate our adventurous spirits! The time we spent in each location was substantial and we never felt rushed. Only admission fee we had to pay was to enter the surfing museum in Nazare, which was inexpensive and definitely worth the money.
Carlos was great. He was messaged prior and provided all the details to the trip. He gave us insights and history of the attractions.
Carlos gave us the best day! This is such a great way to get from Lisbon to Porto (or vice versa) and see some more of the awesome towns Portugal has to offer. We stopped in Óbidos, Fatima, and Aveiro. We loved each stop. Thank you for a perfect t day!
Great experience with Carlos! He drove us from Lisbon to Porto and provided a cute stop along the way in a nearby town. Professional and kind.

Carlos is extremely patient, helpful and well mannered. He was well informed and gave us balanced information of history and fact. He very thoughtfully carried umbrellas and water for our tour. His English is good and very eloquent. Most importantly his car was spotless and odourless.
We had Carlos pick us up from the airport in his well maintained and clean Mercedes van, and he was extremely helpful, giving us tips on what to do in Porto. We signed him up then and there, to take us to Cascais after a couple of days, via Aveiro & Fatima. He gave us a great tour explaining everything and then dropped us off at Cascais. Wonderful person and a great drive. Highly recommended.

Carlos picked our group of seven promptly at 8am at our hotel in Porto. We knew immediately that Carlos was going to be great. He definitely exceeded our expectations and showed us amazing places. He took us to some of the beaten path in Aveiro after visiting salt mines and taking boat tour. We the then vistas Costa Nova which was so quaint. He gave us several recommendations for lunch and we opted for the pig and champagne in Mealhada. The first place we went to had a 2 hour wait. He brought us to another restaurant and was able to get us in 15 minutes. The meal and experience was great. Our final stop was in Nazare to see the beach and fortress. Omg! Talk about beautiful! When you book this tour, ask for Carlos. You will not be disappointed. He is great and the Van is so comfortable!
The good part: Carlos was kind, on time, patience and Knowledgeable. We never felt rushed. He gave us our own space. The car was clean and with water supply. The bad… NOTHING… It was just what I expected. We felt very safe and happy.
We had a great day touring the different towns and areas on our way back from Porto to Lisbon with a great and outstanding driver Carlos. He was so knowledgeable and accommodating. We left at 10 and got back to our hotel around 430 in Lisbon. It was a great day and a wonderful way to end our last day in Portugal. Ask for Carlos to drive you. Molly G.

Carlos, the driver, was fantastic. They made sure we could enjoy it slowly without rushing at all. It was a long day, 10 hours to Lisbon, via Coimbra, Tomar and Batalja, but we were able to make the most of the time we had. After booking this tour, we decided which cities to visit with sound advice from the back office. On the day, I was happy to enjoy the tour as I wanted with Carlos driving and guiding me.
