We had a fantastic private tour of Porto with Nuno! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, sharing so much interesting information about the city’s history, culture, and beautiful sights. I have mobility limitations and use a SmartScoot mobility scooter, and Nuno was incredibly accommodating and attentive to my needs. He made sure I was comfortable throughout the tour, which allowed me to relax and truly enjoy the experience. The private vehicle was very comfortable and made sightseeing so much easier. One of the highlights of our day was the Port wine tasting that Nuno arranged for us. It was a wonderful and very interesting experience! We learned about the different types of Port wine and really enjoyed this special addition to our tour. Nuno went out of his way to make our visit enjoyable and memorable. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Porto with him and appreciated his knowledge, kindness, and attention to detail. **We highly recommend this private tour, especially with Nuno as your guide!** It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end.

We were picked up from the cruise terminal by Nuno, a courteous man who was very knowledgeable. During our tour it started to pour with rain, but we felt comfortable with his safe & careful driving and we were still able to see the highlights of Porto. When we arrived at the historical bridge, the rain had ceased and we were able to view this lovely area. Afterwards we had a wine tasting which truly capped off our wonderful tour. Highly recommend. Thank you Nuno.
Joao Frade was amazing !!! If booking this tour you should request him ….his knowledge of the city and its history were amazing giving us a greater understanding of Porto and the country itself …best monies ever spent …in 4 hours he showed us so much and helped us decide what to go back and see …it ended with a tour of one of the port houses …his knowledge went even farther then the country but in the making of port …amazing for those who love to learn about a city past and present Brian and Ronald
Bruno was a wonderful guide and took great care of my mother and me. He was informative and funny, and it was such a pleasure to spend the time with him!
This was an excellent overview of the city w great insights into the history of the city and the country by John.
Great way to get around Lisbon. The TukTuk could navigate small streets and access areas of the city larger vehicles couldn't. Our guide was fantastic - great English and very knowledgeable about the sites and the city.
We couldn't be happier with Joao. He was very knowledgeable of Porto and its history, not to mention that of the whole country of Portugal. He was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Very easy to understand and communicate with. Porto is spectacular and Joao made the experience and amazing and memorable day for us.
Joao F. Is one of the very best tour guides ever. Packed with deep insights, great service and humor. We loved his commentary on the city, its history, customs, and food. He was so knowledgeable and fun that we extended our tour through the afternoon. We are happily exhausted!
Wonderful tour—highly recommended! We were able to see many sights of Porto in a short time. Our guide Marco was kind and knowledgeable and also an excellent driver.
We had a very nice tour. Our guide Manuel was a very nice guy. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. I recommend this tour.

Fabulous tour with an extremely knowledgeable guide who went out of his way to accommodate us. Car was very comfortable and clean
Jon, our tour guide on this half day exploration of the city of Porto was very informative and entertaining, making the city come alive as he pointed out areas if interest and historical importance. His guidance made the tour very personable, even taking us to one of his favorite cafes for a bite while we walked through the historical portion of the city. Definitely would recommend this tour for anyone that is in Porto for a few days, and ask for Jon if available.
Ana was an excellent guide. We met her at the entrance to the Livaria Lello (the Harry Potter bookstore). She was so knowledgeable about the history of Porto and was able to execute the itinerary that we had agreed upon in earlier texts. Her driver was extremely pleasant and made our short time in Porto very enjoyable. They took us to sites with magnificent views of the city and Ana gave wonderful descriptions and histories of everything. This was truly one of the highlights of our ten day is it to Portugal and Spain.
Manuel was terrific, both as a driver and guide. Took us to some very scenic places for awesome views of Porto and beautiful churches. A beautiful city and great port wine tasting at Calem.
Great way to get a good overview of the city. My guide, Bruno, was very knowledgeable and attentive, personalizing the tour to things that interested me.
Manuel was an excellent guide. He navigated us throughout the city with ease. We visited some beautiful and historical sites. Took hundreds of lovely photos. Learned so much about this beautiful and historic city. Our tour ended with a port tasting at Calem. Truly outstanding experience. Highly recommend.
Manual our Tour Master was the most knowledgeable, professional and kind person ever. From start to finish we were given the royalty treatment and we walked away with in-depth knowledge and respect for Porto. Manuel even recommended the best local restaurant for us. You can’t go wrong with this tour service.
Nuno picked us up on the scheduled date punctually. He is courteous and very pleasant. He accommodates us to getting a cup of coffee and some pastries because we didn't have a chance to get breakfast. Nuno is a great tour guide. He is very informative, the itinerary took us around the city of Porto, we saw a lot more than just the tourist area. Despite the weather was rainy, because of the convenience of having our own private car tour, we are able to still see places without any hassle. We definitely recommend Nuno to anyone who wants a private car tour.
Lovely lunch at a non tourist restaurant . Driver’s English was not good . He took us to all the major tourist spots and we had delicious pastry
Porto is a magnificent city with amazing architecture and history. Our guide, Manuel, was prompt, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, enthusiastic about his city and country, an excellent historian, charming! Outstanding tour! It was just my husband, me, and Manuel for a marvelous, customizable trip! Our visit to the Calem Port Cellar was great—amazing production and science! I highly recommend this tour!
Tomas was a very good driver and host. We saw all the highlights we hoped to see, including a Port wine tour. I would recommend this tour to others.
Our tour of Porto with Manuel was amazing. He picked us up at our hotel in an air-conditioned van that was very comfortable. Our tour included all the highlights of the city, including a 1hr tour and tasting at one of the port houses. Manuel was an expert at navigating the city and finding parking. He dropped us off and guided us through many of the key sites in the city along the river. His knowledge of the history of Porto was impressive. We highly recommend this tour with Manuel!
Martin was great and very knowledgeable and patient. He also recommended quite a few places for us to visit and kept in touch. I would recommend him if you’re going to a tour.
This was a fantastic tour - we learned a lot about Porto thanks to our well educated and outgoing guide John. The tour format (driving with a few stops) helped us appreciate Porto and surrounding areas much better than just seeing the city center. Highly recommend John for any tour he offers. You’ll have a great experience.
A great overview of the city. Very informative. Loved the port tasting. Driver was attentive, knowledgeable and flexible.
Manuel was very knowledgeable, polite and a fantastic guide. Your gave a good quick overview of Porto.
Manuel was an amazing tour guide! We absolutely loved our time learning about Portugal from him. He did an excellent job explaining Portugal’s history and answering our questions. His knowledge was incredible - the information about the tiles in the train station to the country’s history to the style of the churches. We saw several parts of the city, and he also took us to the fortification at the mouth of the river/Atlantic ocean and to a port wine tasting. At our request, he recommended a restaurant for lunch, and it was the best meal we had in the area. He was kind, helpful, and informative. A GREAT day!
Great tour with Luis. He was a wealth of information guiding us through the pouring rain. Really helpful to learn about Porto history.
Our guide, Jose, walked with us through areas that are best seen on foot in the winding, narrow, and crowded streets of central Porto and also drove us to the outlying areas along the river and ocean. It was a wonderful balance that gave us a quick overview of the highlights of this beautiful city. We appreciated the individualized attention and willingness to customize this excursion to best fit our interests. We felt the tour was an exceptional value.
Nuno was the best guide! So thoughtful and knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. He took us to a couple of places that we revisited thanks to his tour.
Hugo was excellent with good local knowledge, and a very captivating personality. We would recommend him to anyone taking a tour of this area.
Our drive, Nuno, was terrific and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend it highly.
We waited 30 minutes on the street before going to where we could make a wifi call to the provider since we got no response to our Trip Advisor text as to where the driver/guide was. The provider was VERY confused at first and didn't seem to know we had a tour booked with them. Finally asked to give them another half hour to see if they could get a driver there. Rather than the agreed upon pick up spot we had to go to the end of the street to wait. Manuel arrived an hour and fifteen minutes late from original start time. Manuel did a nice job giving us an overview of the history of Porto using the Sao Bento train station and the cathedral to explain. We had an early wine tasting/tour so went there next. It was well done. After that we had a panoramic driving tour of Porto including the coastline with informative interpretation by Manuel, but nothing like what the Trip Advisor overview had indicated. Not sure we'll book another tour with Trip Advisor.
Great way to see the top sites if you are short on time. We had a great time. The highlight was going across to Gaia and looking across the river at Porto. Being able to drive up the hill instead of walk was worth it. I wish they let you pay for a different port tasting instead of the lowest level.
My friends and I planned a spur of the moment trip to Portugal and ended up in Porto for 2 days including travel time. It was going to be a short trip and when we arrived in Porto at noon decided to book a private tour through Viator. This was the best decision we made b/c we saw everything we wanted to see in Porto during our short time! Our tour guide Hugo was amazing where he made it fun and showed us not just the main sites of Porto but things that locals did! I think one of the best things about the tour was there was never any pressure or this feeling of being rushed but just enjoying our selves as we walked and drove through the city. In our half day tour, Hugo picked us up at our Hotel and took us to the main sites, took great pictures, had some yummy port, and ended the tour walking through the main city of Porto. He also provided great suggestions for food, what to do to get access to the library, and transportation suggestions. Book this tour and you won't have any regrets!!
Luis was great! Very knowledgeable and it was a great way to introduce us to our first day in Porto.
Great experience with Luis - despite the rainy weather we were able to see a lot of the city and hear about not only the history, but a lot of insight into daily life as well. Since the weather was bad he quickly adapted the normal trip to show sites that were easier to reach with the van vs those that required more walking, including going out towards Matosinhos to see the ocean. Port tasting at the end was nice as well.
Confusion on date. The tour did not happen. The operator wants to keep my money. Not a reputable operator. Avoid!
The half-day tour was an excellent investment to learn more about Porto's history and layout. It gave us a solid foundation for further exploration on our own. Manuel was a great guide - very knowledgable and very helpful with answers to our questions. We got to see much more of Porto by car than we could have on foot.
Our tour guide, Hugo, was the best! My husband has limited mobility, and Hugo made every effort to assist him, by finding close-by parking spots to taking us to places that didn't require a great deal of walking. He was so nice, funny and knowledgeable about the city of Porto and I believe that even in the four hours we were with him, we got a lot more out of the city than many would on their own in a full day. The tour included some of Porto's steep hills, beautiful vistas, and a wonderful stop at Churchill Cellars for some delicious port wine tasting. His van was air-conditioned and very comfortable. I'd highly recommend this tour. If you book it, request Hugo! Thanks, Hugo, for a great day out! Tom and Laura from California
Martinho Ramos was a fantastic tour guide- with his knowledge and good humor we discovered Porto in way that wouldn’t have Ben possible otherwise. Martinho’s English was excellent and he shared his historical knowledge and personal anecdotes with passion and good humor.
Excellent Tour Professional Great Person Beatiful and interesting explanations Kind Very Good Driver Nice conversation Kind Regards Armando & Monica
We wish we had booked our tour with Bernardino our fist day in Porto instead of wandering around ourselves. Being a native from Porto, he is so knowledgeable about not only the history but inside the stories. His English was great and his sense of humor helped us appreciate and remember all the amazing sights we saw. He was friendly but very professional so we felt comfortable and well taken care of during the entire tour! You can’t go wrong to book a tour with Bernardino
Top , experience !! Fantastic Guide!!
Excellent tour with Joao Frade. Very knowledgeable about the history of Portugal and the city of Porto. Very good explanations, excellent choice of places you took us. Perfect Spanish. We highly recommend this tour. Congratulations.
Porto is a charming city, which is very tumultuous due to the subway works (tappums, cranes and holes on all sides) and excess tourists. It becomes difficult to walk the streets without getting stuck in people and it is necessary to deviate from holes and tapums. But the sky remains immense blue and the Douro serene and enveloping.
I only have compliments! Super Indico! We made a family trip to Portugal to Lisbon and Porto in a group of 19 people of all ages. We made several tours with Ane Tours. The Cover with whom I closed everything was Susana, always very helpful and with understanding of everything. We went back and forth to Cascais and Sintra, another day we went to Fátima, another from Lisbon to Porto, another to Vale do Douro including Quinta da Pacheca and return from Porto to Lisbon. All this with excellence transportation, high luxury, 19-seater minibus and exclusive 34-seater bus with fair values. Very attentive and helpful drivers, especially the Rui who accompanied us in Lisbon. Note 10000!!!!
Very good private tour. Bernardino has been a very good driver, and has also been our private guide. Excellent knowledge and ease of story, adjusting the half day visit to our tastes. Great knowledge of the city and its streets, to be able to move smoothly. We have visited the most emblematic places of Porto, and we reached Matosinhos.
