Private 4x4 Mountain Tour From Porto

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this tour but it was excellent. Very unique and quite a nice break from busy Porto. Ricardo was kind, gentle and didn’t rush at all. He picked us up/dropped us off right outside our hotel which was a great bonus. Beautiful way to see the countryside near Porto. Ricardo was a skilled driver and I have confidence in his abilities despite the steep/rugged roads we traveled! Great value; it felt very personal and genuine.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Tour & So Much Fun! Josue was an absolutely fantastic guide! He had me screaming and laughing throughout the tour—in the best possible way! 😂 It was such a fun and memorable experience. We were a family of six, so we took two vehicles, and Josue was extremely accommodating and made sure everyone had a great experience. He was also very informative, and we learned so much along the way. We got to see some absolutely beautiful scenery and places we probably never would have discovered on our own. It was the perfect combination of adventure, laughter, sightseeing, and learning. We would definitely recommend Josue to anyone looking for a fun and memorable tour. Thank you, Josue, for an awesome experience! And yes… Josue definitely made me scream a few times—but I was laughing the whole way! 😂 What a ride!

This was the highlight of our trip! It was so nice to get out of the city and into nature. We saw the most gorgeous views. The 4x4 ride was such a thrill. We totally trusted that Josue was a great driver. We got to stand up in his 4x4 with the top off and fly up and down the hills with great music playing. When we asked our kids what their favorite part of the trip was, they enthusiastically said, “the 4x4 trip!!” Josue was very informative and made the experience so much fun. Thank you for a great day. We highly recommend this experience!

This trip was recommended to us by a friend who had taken it while visiting Porto a few months ago. Our family loved it! Josue was an amazing guide and driver. I don't want to give away any secrets, but some of the stops we made were unexpected and wonderful. After being in the city for a while, it was so nice to get out into nature for a bit. Our guide Josue was excellent. He is really passionate about Porto and surrounding area. It was fun to get out of the city for a few hours and get to see some of the idyllic countryside and hills. Our 4yr old had a blast going along the bumpy tracks and she really took a shine to Josue. It was really relaxed, no rush.

My husband found this little gem of tour and I am so glad he did! It was a highlight of our 9 day stay in Portugal. The adventure up and down the mountain was an absolute blast, and the views from the top were breathtaking! I loved the walk through the tiny village as well as the stop at a local gathering place on our way back. Josue was a fantastic guide. We learned a lot about Portugal from him and enjoyed our conversations throughout the afternoon. He made this trip so much fun! I am so glad we booked this tour and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a unique experience while visiting Porto.

An absolutely incredible and unforgettable experience right outside the city. Our tour guide Ricardo was incredible! He was polite, friendly and beyond hospitable! He took us around beautiful forest trails and showed us some of the oldest houses in the area. The views were breathtaking. The three hour tour left us begging for more and we could not recommend it enough for anyone looking to get out of the city!

A fantastic experience. If you want a trip that is a bit different and away from the tourist hot spots, this is it. We were taken around beautiful forest trails that would have been impassable without a 4x4. The driverJosue was brilliant, and very knowledgable. The views were stunning, and there are even deserted Roman Gold Mines. You can sit on a swing out over the valley if you wish and the refreshment stop is amazing. A totally authentic riverside house hundreds of years old with open log fire in the corner, obligatory cats and dogs, definitely quirky and memorable, in a village where animals outnumber humans. It’s a must do whilst in Porto.

This mountain tour is incredible. Josué is very professional and extremely nice (and an excellent photographer 😊). The tour in itself is super safe and so worth it u get to experience a great tour outside of the city in the mountain, wildlife is everywhere and we got very detailed information about the area. Definitely recommend it !

Beautiful tour through the mountains, very friendly guide, who knew a lot about the area and really takes the time for you. With a drink in a local bar at the end, the tour completes. We really enjoyed it and would do it again!

It was an incredible first experience. Our guide Josué was great: he has a sense of humor, he speaks French very well with a very nice little accent, he explains and provides information.
