Our group of 8 really enjoyed this tour. Mayinka was a great guide. She was very informative. The food was awesome. Mayinka offered us information on other things to do and see while in Porto. Very kind of her to do that. We recommend this tour

Mayinka was a fantastic guide. We were only able to do the tour Sunday, when many of the normal stops were closed. She found some great alternatives that we would never have found on our own. We felt like we got an authentic taste of Porto. Highly recommend booking her!
We have been on a lot of food tours around the world, and this was honestly one of the most disappointing. Our guide, Mayinks, herself was quite nice and was trying to make the experience nice for us, but someone should’ve told us that most restaurants and the markets are closed on Sunday. With very a few options, they probably shouldn’t be booking food tours in Porto on Sunday. We ended up only having food at two places. The first were some nice seafood dishes at an authentic place. The second were some weird pastel nata things that I don’t think anyone in Portugal would eat. Then we had a beer. That was about it. We learned a little bit about the culture and the city, and that was nice, but I definitely would not recommend during this future on a Sunday.
Our guide Mayinka was took us to some great places and even showed us a bit of the city. The cheese shop was the best cheese I have ever tasted. She even took pictures of us at every stop which she sent to us after the tour which was a nice touch. The only complaint we had was the tour was supposed to start at 6:00pm but she asked if we could meet 1 hour earlier because many smaller shops and the Time Out market close early which we couldn't do so just wondering why the tour is at that time if things will be closing?? Also we went to 1 restaurant that was sold out of food before we got there so had to improvise to go somewhere else but Mayinka found us a good substitute at the market. She was able to customize the tour to what we wanted to do and see she that was nice too. Would definitely recommend this tour!
Mayinka was our Tour Guide for this personalized tour and she was fantastic. She took us to some of her favorite restaurants and we got to have some traditional Portuguese specialties! We were able to order off the menus and pick what we wanted to try rather than a standardized food tour. She also gave us historical information on the buildings and we toured the market while enjoying some wine. We are so happy we did this tour with Mayinka. It was the highlight of our time in Porto.
Mayinka was our tour guide and she was awesome. I can’t recommend this food tour enough-every location was thoughtfully chosen, show casing the best of Porto. However, what elevated the experience was the storytelling and learning the history, culture of Porto. Myinka was outstanding and incredibly knowledgeable. We had a vegetarian in our group and she did a fabulous job making sure that he was accommodated and even recommended vegetarian restaurants for us to try. If you are visiting Porto and are wanting to try a food tour I would highly recommend Mayinka. Just remember to come hungry
Our family had a great time on this tour. We had many good local dishes we would not have tried otherwise. We learned some of the history and good points about the city.
Hannah was absolutely amazing! I felt like I was walking around with an old friend. She took me to places that had amazing bites and also informed me about the city as we walked. I couldn’t have asked for more. She even let me practice my horrible Portuguese without laughing in my face.
Really enjoyed our guide, but we only went to three locations. Our second location was a Port tasting and we were thankful that the chef prepared us some hummus and bread since we had only had a pastel de nata prior. The final stop was soup and a fish cake - but only after walking to another location that was closed. I think Sundays might not be the best day for a food tour due to closures.
Antonio took us on a very enjoyable culinary journey. Based on the preferences we expressed to him, he took us to several locations with a diverse selection of savory and sweet treats and drinks. We really appreciated that he steered us towards authentic items. He also pointed out various sites and provided a lot of historical context. Finally, he gave us a bunch of recommendations for things to do and see, and more important, how to get there. We truly enjoyed this experience and conversing with Antonio along the way.
Mayinka showed us a wonderful time in Porto. Children were engaged and excited to visit some of the best spots in Porto for food, drink and sights to see. Mayinka was lovely company and helped us to enjoy our first day.
We had a great time with Hanna. She showed us some beautiful sites and we were able to sample some delicious traditional foods. I would recommend this tour! Terry and Chris
very Interesting walking tour all over the old city. Hannah was very knowledgeable. She also was very accommodating to all of our preferences.
Our guide, Miguel was very knowledgeable about the food and wine we tasted. He was also very informative in discussing the history of the area and the regional cuisine. We experienced a variety of tastings which were all wonderful! He was very passionate about his job teaching us about the food / wine available in the area. He was an excellent guide!
Wonderful gastronomy tour with excellent guides (Angelo and Paulo). Enjoyed the varied local flavors and wine pairings. Scenic walk in downtown Porto. Make this your lunch adventure…you will surely be satisfied!
The tour was a great insight into the local cuisine. Our tour guide was fantastic. The group of eleven mainly British and a couple of Aussies made the most of the tour. Inclusions we’re coffee, cakes, local specialties including sardines, cod, cheeses, smoked hams and sausage, pork rolls and wine companions appropriate to accompany the food. The distances between tastings were well spaced out so one could have time to digest the previous tastings. The final stop for me was the best, a flight of three ports, white, LBV and Tawny. Again food was presented to allow the wines to highlight the food. Our tour guide who is a local was able to provide insider knowledge, and carefully guided us around the town, stopping to ensure all in the group maintained guidance and direction.
