Porto: Yacht Small-group Douro River Cruise & 6 Bridges W/ Drink

Loved it! Do not hesitate to book this sunset cruise! We had the owner as our captain that evening, and he shared his family’s stories about the area. He was full on knowledgeable. We sat on the top deck with him and 2 other couple. 3 couples sat below. The ladies the crew served us and took pics of the couples below. We thought we would only get a welcome cocktail but we also got a few glasses of wine for a wine tasting , crackers, chocolate and even a pastel de Nata! Blankets were distributed to keep us warm. We did have to take a bold to the Maria since it was further from the center but worth it. Bathrooms at the Marina too.

An excellent river cruise with a small group of people. Alberto Moreiro was a very attentive and knowledgable host, providing just the right amount of input. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip!

This was EXACTLY what we wanted to do. A small intimate group that got to experience a great cruise along the Douro River. The captain and his crew were so much fun, so knowledgeable about the topography and history! Perfect!

This was a really good trip, the boat was clean and we had plenty of room to move around. The crew were really friendly, polite and knowledgeable. A great experience, well worth doing and far better than being crammed on one of the many other larger boats on the river

We had a wonderful sunset cruise on the Douro River, and Alberto made the experience truly memorable. He was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive throughout the tour. He shared interesting stories about Porto, Gaia, the bridges, and the Douro while still giving us plenty of time to simply relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset and scenery.

Absolutely loved this experience! The yacht was beautiful and luxurious, and the service was incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming. Alberto was fantastic and so knowledgeable about the city, its history, buildings, and landmarks. You could point out almost any building and he knew exactly when it was built and the story behind it, which made the experience even more interesting. The group was intimate, with only around 10 people, so it genuinely felt like a private yacht experience without the private-yacht price tag. Perfect for couples, solo travellers, or families. Just book it, relax and soak in the Porto sunset..

Alberto and his team curated an exceptional experience. With detailed attention, we were well taken care of the whole day. Friendly, welcoming, and thoughtful cannot begin to describe how amazing this company is. Our experience included a well-planned day from the Atlantic down the Duoro with a curated breakfast, beautiful drinks, planned lunch, and sunset tour. Alberto and his team also went out of their way to give spectacular recommendations prior to our trip which helped us plan our time in Porto. At the end of the day, they made sure we arrived back to our hotel safe. The best time with new friends!

What a wonderful evening. Pedro greeted us on the dock and welcomed us on board. Pedro and another man (I can’t remember his name) led the cruise. They gave us a lovely welcome drink of a Port Tonic. Pedro provided us with some history and information about the areas that we were looking at. Most of the time we were talking with others on the boat. Nice mix of information and relaxing. We could purchase extra drinks if interested however we brought a bottle of port on the boat and were able to enjoy this instead. Towards the end of the cruise, they provided a nice Ginja and a chocolate treat. We watched the sun set and it was beautiful! Highly recommend this tour. Nice crew, very relaxing, enjoyable evening. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a great time on our tour. Our guide Alberto is super informative with his knowledge of the history of Porto and the bridges. On board, he was very hospitable. We had champagne, a welcome drink, and some snacks. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Porto. This was the only tour we did during our entire week and a half stay in Portugal and I am perfectly satisfied that this was the case.

Our family of five, ranging in age from 10 to 74, had an absolutely fantastic afternoon on the Douro River with Opo Boat Tours and Captain Alberto. From the moment we stepped aboard, he made us feel welcome, comfortable, and completely at ease. Alberto was the perfect host and an outstanding guide. We learned so much about Porto, its history, and its six iconic bridges while taking in the stunning scenery along the river. The pace was relaxing, and it was a wonderful way to experience the city from a different perspective. He was especially accommodating to our kids, making sure everyone had a great time. And don't miss his delicious port tonic cocktail—it was the perfect complement to the cruise! A special thank you as well to Alfonso from Ono Tours, who was also wonderful. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. We have absolutely no regrets booking this tour and would do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

This was a super nice cruise along the river and the end of the Douro river into the sea. Great views during 2 hours, nice music, and fantastic crew. We chose the sunset option, and It was a really beautiful moment. Highly recommended.

This two hour boat tour was the highlight of my few days in Porto!! Highly recommend! Alberto and Manuel did a fabulous job at looking after us so well. Excellent information, delicious drinks and wonderful care and service to all aboard. I went solo as my hubby was unfortunately unwell this day, and it was a wonderful time meeting a small group of other travellers. So I would recommend for solo travellers for this reason too - don’t be shy. It was such a treat to be taken on such a beautiful boat, very comfortable and luxurious, felt like the VIP treatment. Thanks Alberto and team for a wonderful afternoon on the water.

My husband and I were visiting Portugal in late May from Washington, USA and had the most amazing experience on OPO’s 2 hour Douro River sunset yacht cruise with Alberto + his assistant (sorry I didn't catch his name)! We were celebrating our honeymoon and his yacht was beautiful, the music + views were perfect and the vibes were immaculate from start to finish! Alberto is clearly so passionate about what he does and it shows in every single detail! Being a Porto native, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the city, its history, little facts and various local recommendations (spa, bars, lounges, restaurants and day trips) that made it all feel extra special. This ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip to Portugal! Alberto and his assistant also went above and beyond with the service. They took so many photos for everyone, made cocktails, kept snacks and drinks replenished, helped organize bags and shoes, navigated/communicated smoothly around other boats and made sure everyone was comfortable the entire time. His assistant was so helpful toward everyone and super attentive throughout the tour! One note for future guests: please bring cash if you would like to leave a tip. Their email mentioned that tipping is welcome and they truly deserve it!! Out of 9 people on our cruise, only my husband and I tipped Alberto + his assistant, which was honestly so sad to see considering how much care and effort they put into the entire experience for everyone. They genuinely went above and beyond for us all and their service absolutely deserves recognition! Oh and bring a light jacket bc it got a bit chilly and windy during blue hour post sunset! If you’re visiting Porto, do not miss this amazing yacht cruise! It was beautiful, fun and SO unforgettable!!!

Really excellent trip - Alberto was very friendly & knowledgable received a lot of information re Porto on the trip. Very comfortable boat - we were lucky to have the boat trip to ourselves 4 of us. The refreshments offered were of a high quality . Certainly would recommend even though it is slightly harder to get to but a short taxi drive helped - the taxis were quite cheap to get here as well .

Alberto and Beatriz were so accommodating! This is an awesome way to start or end a trip in Porto. It’s our first day and we have been up for over 25 hours and this was still the perfect way to acclimate to lovely sunny Porto. Alberto regaled us with stories of the history of the area and in-depth local knowledge. He is an awesome resource for sightseeeng. We saw the opening of the Douro to the Atlantic and the 6 bridges and had some lovely port drinks. The boat is a lovely 42’ sailboat - a real joy, especially on a sunny day.

The guides on the cruise were so friendly and informative. The boat cruised at a lovely, no wake speed while we noticed other tours flying up and down the river. The music was also very relaxing, the wine was excellent, and blankets were provided.

The host was delightful and had a real passion for the cruise. The drinks were lovely. While the clouds robbed us of the sunset the trip was a success.

Alberto was a marvelous host! Traffic was bad, but he accommodated those of us running late and still gave us a great tour. The boat was very comfortable--the blankets were key when the wind picked up. The drinks were tasty and plentiful and Alberto's stories about the city were interesting. But the real star was the Douro itself and the amazing views of the city and sunset. A truly memorable evening!

Wonderful relaxing experience! The cruise was most enjoyable! Alberto, the owner was the ultimate host. We were able to sit back and enjoy various portugese cocktails and accompanied snacks while listening to Alberto's commentary on the history of Porto, in addition to pointing out various sites along the Douro river. The vessel had a bathroom, was very roomy and had very comfortable seating at the front of the boat complete with blankets if you needed one. Exceptional tour, would highly recommend to anyone wishing a truly awesome river cruise!! Alberto rocks!!

best river tour with alcohol ever!!!!! Alberto was absolutely amazing and shared so much insight with us regarding Porto and Gaia. My friends and I booked at the last minute and they were so accommodating and friendly! We were also given a variety of alcoholic beverages and chips to go with which were divine! He was more than willing to take our pictures, answer questions, and stop the boat to give us time to see certain monuments and sights. We had the best time ever! What an amazing experience! Our cruise kicked off on time with our captain and guide welcoming us on board. Once on the boat, we got comfy on the Bow of the boat which provided the absolute best views. We we served three different port wines paired nicely with chips and chocolate. Our side Tomas was a pleasure. The captain was also a wonderful host. We saw so much and it was truly relaxing.

Being on the water and getting to see both cities from that angle was a memorable experience for all of us, and the breathtaking sunset at the mouth of the Atlantic was one to remember for a lifetime. Where do I start? Porto City is so charming but we saw it's charm from one angle. Alberto from Opo Boat tours showed us Porto and Gaia from different angle. We did 6 bridges tour, 2 hours on a nice boat with another family. Felt like we are on a private cruise. Alberto is super cool, friendly, fun with warm hospitality guide. This was not only a boat tour but also a wine tasting experience Alberto introduced us to Portos and Douro Valley's different wines and drinks. 2 hours flew so fast, because it was an amazing day and tour.
