The tour was great. Easy meeting point and we covered significant areas of interest. Our guide, Ricardo, had a lot to share. We throughly enjoyed the morning.

A very good tour with an exceptional guide with a vast amount of knowledge!
I rarely write a negative review, however, this tour (Sept. 18th) was a bit of a disappointment solely due to the guide. Instructions of where to meet and how to recognize/find her were vague and she wasn't there a minute early. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but she really wasn't into the tour and repeatedly complained of how tired she was after not getting a good night's sleep- please just do your job or get a sub if you can't do it well, don't make excuses for phoning it in. I've done a number of tours and the guides have always been upbeat, energetic, and enthusiastic. She was none of these that day. The stops we made were par for the course as it was a highlights tour, but where she chose to stop and talk for 30 minutes or more at a time was often in the sun, with us all standing, and if there was only one place to sit on a step or something, she took it. Our crowd was in our 60's-70's, and not everyone can stand that long and it was a hot day- she could have found shade to stop in or benches for longer history lessons. For a 3+ hour walking tour, there was very little walking. She also had a generally bad attitude and although everyone is entitled to their opinion about their country's history- often offered as a tongue in cheek comment or with a sense of humor in this context, but she kept saying that she hated x,y, and z. She did offer a few good tips (going up the Clerigos Tower before sunset), but she didn't know as much as some of us whom had bothered to research or had already visited some renown places in Porto. Fortunately, I had just been to Livraria Lello that morning, so I was able to describe it to the group, how ticketing and admission worked, offer tips on when to go, and how much it cost for the different options. She'd never been, so had little to say about it- and it was a major highlight of our trip!
It was a great walking tour to familiarize yourself with downtown Porto, starting at the cathedral. We had a wonderful guide! So knowledgeable!
We had a fantastic Gaia walking and Port tasting tour with EFun, guided by Rafaella. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience genuinely entertaining rather than just informative. She took us to several excellent places and gave us a much better understanding of Port and the area. One of the stops she introduced us to was Quevedo, which we enjoyed so much that we actually went back again later on our own. That probably says everything about how good her recommendations were. Rafaella struck a great balance between history, wine knowledge, conversation, and fun. Highly recommend both her and the tour.
Ricardo was very nice and informative! The churches and shopping were great and views of the city were amazing.
A 10/10 experience, highly recommend! Our guide Rafaela made it one of the best experiences in Portugal. Her ability to make everything feel truly personalized helped us learn a lot, and the city tour was perfect. She was so knowledgeable that it felt like we were friends from out of town being shown around her hometown. I would recommend her and this tour to anyone visiting Porto!
Rafaela was very friendly and knowledgeable. We learned much about Porto and enjoyed our time with her.
Very informative and interesting. Ricardo, our guide was so knowledgeable and entertaining and we learnt so much about beautiful Porto.
Great day in Porto with our guide Ricardo! His English was good, he was very knowledgable. We had a great tour.
Great guide and tour! Ricardo shared his passion for his city of Porto. As an historian, he provided a lot of insight throughout the experience.
Our walking tour with Matheus was excellent. He was knowledgeable and personable. When he learned some of our particular areas of interest, he included references to those areas. We recommend the tour for those interested in history and local information.
Great tour, touched all the key places to see and the guide provided guidance on restaurants and tours to take.
Ricardo was our guide. Happened we were the only two on this tour. Pace was excellent. Places we visited, route taken, and Information given was the perfect amount. Both of us agree we saw what we wanted to see in the three hours. Ricardo’s English and demeanor were very good. Highly recommend to take this tour in your first day in Porto. Obigada Ricardo.
This was an excellent introduction to Porto. Our guide Matheus was friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed learning about the city in his company. The tour gave us a flavour of the main sites in Porto and we found out a lot about the history of both the city and the country. There was a fair bit of walking but nothing too strenuous and it was punctuated by lots of views and information from our guide. We’d definitely recommend this as a way to start a short break in Porto.
We were lucky and had our guide, Matteas all to ourselves. This young man was a wealth of history and took his time in answering our questions to the best of his ability. Highly recommend for you first day to get your bearings.
John was an excellent guide, he was well informed, kind and had a nice humor, the pace of the tour was well worth it. His knowledge is excellent. Strongly recommend to anyone wanting to know Port in Porto
We had a great time with our tour guide Ricardo! Small group tour, lots of stops and mostly downhill. I recommend taking the tour early in your visit as we learned of many places to go back to go inside later.
Matthew was a great tour guide. We walked at a good pace for us retired older couples. He was knowledgeable and gave us interesting facts and answered our questions. He was also very personable and easy to converse with. We got a good overall feel for the city .
Matthew our guide filled our walk with loads of interesting facts for the beautiful city of Porto. Very friendly with a good sense of humour. We had a great three hours which flew past considering the very inclement weather.
Our guide Ricardo was fantastic. Great knowledge and passionate explanations on the lovely city of Porto and Portugal as a whole. Intresting off topic chats and recomendations on route. Highly recommend.
Pedro Cardozo was an awesome tour guide. I highly recommend him and the company he works for. Very detail explanations. He took the time to explain everything we were seeing and he accommodated to our questions and inquiries.
Very informative tour of the city of Porto. Julianna was very knowledgeable abt the town's history. She showed us the impact historical sites and told us where to go for local specialties as well. We enjoyed her company. It's like talking to an old friend. She is an amazing guide.
Pedro was a great guide. Very knowledgeable and tailored the tour to suit us. A great introduction to a lovely city. Totally recommend.
A great experience. Extremely great tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the processes and the history. The wines are better than anything you'll find in a bar.
Great walking to exploring Porto. Our tour guide Pedro was very informative and knowledgeable. He took us to places we would have never found on our own enjoyed our experience with him very much.
Pedro gave us a great insight into Porto. So much better than taking a free tour with 40 people. His knowledge of Porto was as good as it can get.
Very informative, most enjoyable, 3hrs passed very quickly. The guide, Barbara, was really excellent.
Joao proved an informative yet fun walking tour through Porto. He was entertaining yet very informative. I would highly recommend taking this walking tour
It was very informative and provided a good overview of the city. People should know that there are many steps and uphill walking.
Good walking shoes are must, it will make your experience much more comfortable.. whatever you need to know about Porto our guide Richardo will answer to the point. Even though he said he isn’t magician, somehow he made the rain stopped and rest of our walking tour was fantastic filled with many points of interest and informations… thank you
Amazing!! Fun!! Insightful!! Attention to detail!! Thoughtful!! Creative!! Great value!! Well-worth it!!
A wonderful, informative walk with our very knowledgeable guide, Pedro. He took us to all the sights and his easy going manner made for a very enjoyable sojourn through the streets of Porto.
Our guide Ricardo was timely, knowledgeable and delivered his jokes expertly. Definitely would recommend doing this. We had a six year old and two teens with us, so with Porto having steep and winding streets, we were worried three hours would be too long. However, we made frequent stops and Ricardo laid out a route that avoided most of the elevation. We got to see a lot of amazing sites and had magnificent views of the cities of Porto and Gaia (other side of Douro river). There was no obligation to enter any of the buildings but he gave us his recommendations. We ended up skipping the Livraria de Lello (hourslong wait) but visiting the cathedral next to the Bishop's house. It was lovely and we appreciated his insights. I don't think there's much better value for money than this one.
There were no other guests on the day of our booking, so Pedro gave us a private tour of Porto, catering to what we were interested in. Appreciated learning the history of the city and getting a list of restaurant and sightseeing recommendations from him!
Very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who spoke perfect English. Ricardo clearly enjoys his job and went out of his way to accommodate our needs - despite the very hot weather. We were the only 2 people in the tour due to the heat but he went ahead with the tour anyway. All the known points of interest and some lesser known. Thank you 😀
A very informative tour and easy walking. Ricardo was very knowledgeable and we were always allowed to ask questions
Barbara was amazing! She is so knowledgeable and passionate about the city's rich history, and she had answers for any and all of our questions. This was a great way to see so much of Porto!
This walking tour up and down the gorgeous hills of Porto was the perfect way to start off our time in Portugal. We were in a small group of 6 with a fantastic tour guide, João!! He had a great sense of humor and immense knowledge of the city of Porto. Very friendly guide. He took us to many important spots to see and we had a lot of fun along the way. We even got a special tasting at a shop because everyone loves João!! Must do tour when in Porto.
Excellent walking tour - Pedro our guide was excellent - very knowledgeable, great mix of history, local knowledge and recommendations - Porto is a beautiful city and we learned so much - small group too which meant we could all hear easily - highly recommend
An absolutely outstanding tour! Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and had a fantastic sense of humor that kept the whole group entertained from start to finish. Every story was delivered with passion and detail, making the history and culture of the place come alive in the most memorable way. It's rare to find someone who can connect so naturally with a group and make everyone feel included. Highly recommend this tour — and if you're lucky enough to have this guide, you're in for a truly special experience!
Great way to start your visit to Porto. We were taken all around old Porto by a very knowledgeable tour guide
Ricardo was not only knowledgeable but had a great sense of humor about himself and the world. We enjoyed hanging out with Ricardo!
Great tour with a great guide with heaps of knowledge, great English, and sense of humour. Gave many recommendations for bars and restsurants
Brilliant tour well worthwhile. Our guide João Rocha was excellent and gave us lots of insight about Porto and its history in a very easy going manner.
This walking tour lasted over 3 hours and took us all over the heart of Porto. We stopped at many of the most important historical sights in the city. Our guide, Catarina, provided a lot of historical information about them, and also gave us info about things currently going on in Porto. At the end of the tour, she also very helpfully gave me information about additional sights to visit in and around Porto, as well as info about some of her favorite restaurants. Would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you can go with Catarina.
My partner and I were fortunate to have Ricardo as our guide. It was a fantastic experience. Porto is a beautiful city with varied history, amazing views and friendly people. Ricardo’s knowledge of local history and culture is second to none. He was kind and made our visit to Porto special. Highly recommend Ricardo and this tour!
Pedro did a wonderful job of escorting us around the city. He told us sites to see and those to avoid. His explanations of the history were in depth and interesting. He gave us good ideas for food and shared restaurants with us. He was funny and answered all of our questions.
I confess I didn't have high expectations, but I was way wrong. The tour was absolutely terrific. Our guide, Pedro Cardoso, was knowledgeable, personable, and was able to answer my offline esoteric questions without batting an eye. I highly recommend this tour if you can get Pedro. Best Viator tour I've taken in many years.
Really comprehensive tour of Porto and such a great price. Despite terrible weather our guide Riccardo kept up his interesting history of the city
