Porto: Private Yacht Experience With Local Wines & Snacks

We had an amazing time! From start to finish, everything was fantastic- the captain, the first mate, the food and wine were also excellent. Between the beautiful views and the great service, it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a waterside way to experience Porto!

Goncalo and Kika were amazing at leading a private yacht tour along the Douro. I could not recommend them enough. They were punctual in the pickup, professional, warm, and friendly. The boat was clean, with plenty of space, and safe. My wife and I went up to the front of the boat, and Kika told us about the bridges, the river, and the history on both sides of the river in Porto. My wife and I were overtaken with the beauty of the experience. Snacks and wine were also great! Goncalo also had a great dinner recommendation for us to get us over to Gaia and experience another side of Porto. My wife and I took the two hour cruise as part of our honeymoon and it was the highlight of our trip to Portugal.

Our cruise with Atalaia Gold was a wonderful experience. Communication with Alex, the owner, leading up to tour time was perfect and I had all the pre-cruise information I needed. The boat was clean and in fine shape. We were very lucky to get Leo and Ramos as our crew. They also were very informative and helpful. They offered us wine and charcuterie while we cruised the river. This would have been a great experience with any other crew, but Leo and Ramos made it a special time for us. Atalaia Gold should be on your itinerary on your next visit to Porto! We are eager to return and when we do, we undoubtedly will be cruising with Atalaia Gold again!

We lucked out when we got Gil and Inez for this evening! The boat was brand new and sparkling clean! We had very comfortable seats up top and Gil and Inez served us lovely green wine (and a lot of it :) and gave us a huge plate of cheese, ham and more! We learned so much as we cruised up the Douro River and had the most marvelous time! We highly recommend this tour and Gil and Inez!

Alex and Diego were great guides! They saved our evening after our first boat tour flopped, and kindly offered us spots on their tour. Great wines and local cheese/meat snacks. Very fun vibes, it was the perfect balance between fun and informative. Both Alex and Diego also gave great recommendations on local restaurants, bars, and food while also teaching us some great Portuguese phrases!

Beautiful, relaxing trip down the river. Just when you think it can’t get better….drinks and snacks!!!!

We had a wonderful time. The guides were knowledgeable, the wine was cold, and the Duoro was gorgeous. We left Porto knowing so much more and with lots of memories from our time on the River. My granddaughter now wants to go back to ride the boat! Fun for the whole family!

We had such an amazing experience. The crew (two brothers) were so polite, informed and helpful. They explained the history, answered all our questions and provided the most wonderful charcuterie and drinks! We give it a 5+++

I can’t give more stars than 5 - but I would! Alexandre and his co- captain did an amazing job on our tour. We were picked up promptly at our hotel and driven to the boat. While on board, we got a great tour along the river in Porto, wine and cheeses. Was happy to support this growing business that is providing a first class experience. Can’t recommend enough!

We had a fantastic private two hour tour up the Douro River with Ines. & our captain. We were three couples on a long weekend in Porto and this was definitely one of the highlights. We had a brilliant time both of them were incredibly professional warm welcoming and friendly and very knowledgeable about Porto and the river . Nothing was too much trouble. They spoke to us about the ports and the wines we tried and we had a lovely Tapas board. A wonderful yacht and a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable trip .

An amazing experience and the perfect first night in Porto. The view of the city is fantastic, the snacks and drink were delicious, and our hosts were delightful. Absolutely would do again.

A must do experience when in Porto. The hosts were so lovely, we listened to our own music and sat at the front of the boat admiring the city from a totally different perspective while enjoying local wine and a delicious charcuterie board.

Had an awesome experience and you get way more value than what you pay for. The boat is essentially brand new and very well kept. Great conversation with the hosts and the best wine we drank on our whole trip was the home made wine they served. If you don’t book this trip you are making a mistake.

What better way to spend time in Porto. Great trip with awesome hosts. Do this trip and it will be the highlight of your holiday.

This was our favorite evening in Porto. Communication was excellent. Alex & Kika were such lovely hosts and made sure we had everything we need. The green wine and local charcuterie were delicious. Kika offered to take photos of my partner and I throughout the trip. The boat was gorgeous and well kept. Don't hesitate to book this tour!

We had a wonderful time with this cruise. Our hosts were really nice to talk to and easy going. They even gave us some nice suggestions of places to visit in Porto. The wines were really good as well as the food. We had a very enjoyable cruise while learning more about portuguese culture.

The two-hour cruise on Atalaia Gold was one of the highlights of our trip to Porto. We enjoyed conversing with the young crew. Their recommendations about what else to see in Porto and the area were very thoughtful. The green wine and port they offered were superb. Freshly cut cheeses and charcuterie - all delicious. Stunning views of the city.

This tour was the highlight of my trip to Porto! My friends and I did the sunset yacht tour and were very impressed. The staff and organizer were friendly and helpful. At first, we wondered if the tour would be worth the cost but it ended up exceeding all expectations. The wine and food served on board were excellent and the views were exceptional. I can't recommend this enough!

1000% recommend! Alex & Kika were amazing hosts and such a joy! Our family has been to Porto multiple times and this boat trip was definitely a highlight! The views were absolutely lovely and so was the crew. They prepared us a beautiful cheese board with wine and everything was delicious.

The crew were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. They made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. The boat was very clean and spacious even for our group of eight adults. We were allowed to move around freely on the boat and the crew offered to take group pictures for us and even turned the boat so we could have the best backgrounds. The views were stunning. It was absolutely worth it, and I will book again if I ever find myself in Porto.

After some days of morning train-catching in Aguda and pavement-pounding the hills of Porto and Gaia, this sweet river cruise was an absolute dream. Our hosts ensured glasses were full (a locally made vino verde was a special treat), soundtrack available (bluetooth and speaker), and sites detailed. A beautiful and Portugal-showcasing charcuterie board was enjoyed by all, even accommodating our vegetarian daughter. Seeing the colorful cities from river viewpoint is a must. It was a highlight in everyone's mind - satisfying ages 7, 9, 11, 14 and 45!

Would absolutely recommend this experience. I booked the sunset experience for me and my girlfriend and it was absolutely worth it. The boat is very comfortable and luxurious. You get a great view of the Douro and Porto without being surrounded by tourists. The staff was great, very friendly and they made sure we had everything we needed, from wine, champagne to a nice plate with some food. Left with a girlfriend and came back with a fiancé. 10/10 would recommend.

Alex & Kika were the perfect hosts! We had the most amazing sunset cruise on a private yacht. Kika served a delicious charcuterie board and we tasted some of Alex’s family’s vino verde! We had a fab time and would recommend to anyone going to Porto.

We were welcomed by Adriano and his partner at the dock. They took very good care of us, explaining the sights and history of Porto. We were able to take our small dog along which we appreciated greatly. They kept us content, serving us wine and tapas. Wonderful views and very friendly couple. We would definiately book a cruise with them again!
