We had several excellent stops in Porto with delicious local food and wines. Our guide pointed out highlights as we walked about the city and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It’s a great way to learn about local food and wines before going about on your own. 5-star experience!

We had a fabulous experience with Paula yesterday, guiding us very professionally around the amazing market and through the city with various stops. This is an experience not to be missed. Paula was so helpful - my husband is very slow and finds walking a long way difficult. We would have benefitted from a sit down at the market but apart from that we highly recommend the tour. Claudia at the second bar went above and beyond to accommodate us and her little place was charming. At our final stop by the river we enjoyed a variety of dishes and stayed to watch the sunset before getting a taxi back to our hotel. A memorable and educational day.
We loved our private walking tour in Porto! Very knowledgeable guide with Portugal and Porto history. It was an excellent way to get an introduction to the city. Highly recommend!
Pedro was a great host! It was a very hot Sunday when we had our tour but Pedro took us to have amazing food (a lot of things closed Sundays). Pedro explained Porto and its history as we walked along and stopped for food, wine and beer. If you want to learn culture and enjoy local food this is a great tour for when you first arrive in Porto. Thank you Pedro! Obrigada!
10/10 experience! A fantastic blend of mouthwatering local bites, excellent Portuguese wine, and fascinating history. Our guide Joao was excellent. He was warm, welcoming, and brought the city’s culture to life. Every stop was delicious, generous, and unique. Easily one of the best things we did in Portugal—cannot recommend it enough!

Barbara was our guide for this tour. Her enthusiasm, knowledge and personality made the food tour one of the best we have experienced. We were taken to lovely local shops in the historic part of Porto where we were able to sample local products all the while giving us a lesson in Porto and Portuguese history. Barbara introduced us to the shop owners who then allowed us to sample cheeses, wine, tamponades and meats. Quite frankly, the three hour introduction to the food scene in Porto seemed to go by much too quickly. If you are considering a private food tour, you should request Barbara. She is a gem.
It was a wonderful experience! Barbara, our tour guide, was so informative and personable. She made the tour. I highly recommend you ask for her when booking.
Pedro provided a concise and thoughtful historical overview throughout our food and wine walking tour, which added wonderful context to the experience. The food was exceptional, and the beer and wine selections were top-notch Portuguese choices. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it.
Ricardo was fabulous! His knowledge of history is phenomenal and he has a wonderful personality! The food was great! I highly recommend you take this tour with Ricardo!!
Paula was great from the moment we met, it was clear that she wanted us to make the most of our time in Porto and she gave us plenty of information about the City and the food. There was plenty to eat and drink - all of which was varied and tasty. We would highly recommend this tour you will not leave hungry.
Paula showed us some of the sites and great spots around Porto. We enjoyed sampling Fish & green wine in Porto market; cheese, cured meats and different wines in the old town (at Cibinho) and rounded the tour off sampling Bifana and beer (at Bó tá quente). A great morning out :-)
Ricardo did an excellent job His history background made it much more interesting. I definitely recommend this tour
Our guide (sorry, forgot her name, but she had fabulous pink hair!) was incredibly knowledgeable about both Porto history and the food. She gave us a great introduction to Porto on our first day there.
Pedro was delightful! We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. So much food to sample. It was delicious and the wine was divine! Thanks for a lovely day, Pedro!
Great experience. Our guide normally does historical tours so we had delicious food and lots of historical information. We had 3 stops for food and wine. Each restaurant was welcoming and provided a good variety of local food. The tour was about 3 hours and was just the 2 of us plus the guide. Sadly, I have forgotten his name! Porto is a very hilly town so it was nice that we started at the top and worked our way down. He gave us the tip to take the funicular back up to the top if we didn't want to climb the hills back to our hotel.
My husband and I had a wonderful walking and food tour with João! We were lucky enough to be the only ones signed up for the tour, and João treated us to a real insider's view of the city. We sampled food from four different locations, and each place was delicious and distinct from the others. João told us about the geographical and cultural significance of different wines and foods and was happy to answer any questions that we had. I highly recommend this tour!
Very engaging, tasty, and informative tour both for food and history led by Ricardo! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can highly recommend as our best tour so far!
Thorough tour. If your guide has time go by the bus station for a great description of what the tile murals represent.
What a great way to kick off our Vacation to Portugal. Our tour guide Barbara was amazing, full of great information and energy. The 3 wine stops were great and we literally couldn't finish all the food at the last stop. It was a great variety of tapas plates, each better than the next!
Barbara, our tour guide, was brilliant. She was extremely well informed, full of energy and a joy to listen to. Even though all the food choices didn’t match what we’re used to or would normally choose, it was good to experience local cuisine and the authentic eateries were lovely. Thank you for a great tour.
Daniel was great, very knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. He definitely kept us engaged and fed while showing a wonderful part of Porto which we would have have missed out on.
This tour was so enjoyable .. lots of great info great views great food and plenty of awesome wines. Massive thanks to Daniel who was a great guide
Super walk and dine/wine guided tour by Barbara Barbara gave us a great guided tour round Porto. She really knows the story and tales of Porto and showed us many interesting places and buildings of Porto. We highly recommend Barbara and this guided Wine and dine tour of Porto.
Our guide, Barbara was terrific! She arranged an amazing tour, she was very knowledgeable of Porto and arranged lovely eateries for us to visit. The first two in particular were authentically local.
Barbara was knowledgeable, passionate and wonderful. Our tour was informative, the foods and wines were great and the city is amazing.
Loved the history of Porto with our guide Luisa. He was very knowledgeable and took us to some great hidden off the beaten path.
We had such great time. The guide, Mariana was great, food was gorgeous and people in the restaurants were all so nice. Mariana knew about Porto so well and it was nice to be guided by someone really loves the town. We stopped at 3 restaurants and all the places provided beautiful Portuguese food with explanation which was interesting and yummy. We felt very welcomed by the restaurant staff. I am really glad I joint the tour.
We had a great time on this tour, learning more history about the city as well as eating some delicious food and wine (3stops!). Rosa our tour guide was sweet and knowledgeable. We lucked out and it was only the two of us with the guide and we felt like we had a private tour of the city. Thank you!
Ana met us promptly for our tour, there were 6 altogether which was a manageable number. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour along with the cafés selected to enjoy the plenty of food and wine thar was served to us. Our guide was very informative and friendly as well so would definitely recommend.
This is a fun way to spend an afternoon. We sampled traditional local delicacies paired with appropriate espresso, wine or beer. From pastries, to cheeses and sausages, to a unique dipped shredded pork sandwich. This is a great way to get an overview of the city and get a feel for the best of the local cuisine. Our group was made up of fun travelers, so we were able to share our experiences in Porto and get some great tips too. A unique experience well worth a try!
We enjoyed the tour immensely and would definitely recommend it to others. Pauhla was an excellent guide and conducted the tour in German. We liked the market hall the best. A very nice memory for our family. There was a large selection of different, delicious, local specialties.
Lots of good info about postage and lots of wine. Guide very enthusiastic and very sweet. Owners stops also very nice and we have become fans of fc postage. Maybe the food could have been a little more.
Clearly an experience. Our guide Barbera was super good and with insight into Porto she made the trip a hit. She was very present and vivid. No doubt she's burning for it. Get around the city, both culinary and historic.
