Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! This private sunset boat tour was truly one of the highlights of our time in Porto. The views were breathtaking, and the delicious local snacks made the experience even more special. But what really made this tour unforgettable was the couple who owns the boat. They were genuinely the sweetest hosts—so warm, welcoming, and thoughtful, constantly making sure we had everything we needed. You could tell they truly cared about making the experience special for their guests.

We had the most wonderful experience with Alma Douro! We were welcomed by such a warm and lovely couple who made us feel right at home as they showed us the beautiful Porto riverfront from their boat. Everything was thoughtfully done, from the delicious charcuterie board to the wonderful Porto tonic cocktails. But the highlight was definitely watching the sunset from the water—it was absolutely magical and the perfect way to experience Porto. A beautiful boat, wonderful hosts, delicious treats, and an unforgettable sunset. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect cruise. Highly recommend Alma Douro! ❤️

If I could give this experience 100 stars I would! My sister and I had the distinct pleasure of spending a wonderful evening with Nadia and Paolo! Their boats impeccably clean and beautifully decorated with plush blankets, luxury cushions and well kept boating apparatuses. The beautifully arranged spread of cheese, fruit, nuts, meats and crackers was such a nice touch. The wine choices are well thought out and not inexpensive, rather unique, small batch items from local wineries. Additional pairings included local savory and sweet accompaniments. All of that would have earned five stars alone, but what really sets apart this tour are the hosts: Nadia and Paolo. We felt like we spent the evening with friends, we enjoyed learning about their lives and sharing a bit about ourselves. I’m a nervous sailor and they were so kind and caring helping me place my hands and feet in places so I didn’t fall and stayed safe. Should you be lucky enough to book an evening with these fine folks you will be lucky indeed! Side note- it rained and we still felt like it was money and time well spent!

Have you ever had an experience in your life where you say to yourself, “I will remember and cherish this moment forever”? Well, this evening my husband and I had that moment. First we thought there would be up to 8 people on the sunset cruise. We found out it was only us. Nadia and Paulo own the boat and they treated us like loyalty. We laid out on the front deck in decadent comfort as they provided us with blankets, beautiful charcuterie, some historical facts about Porto, some of their own personal history ,romantic music curated so perfectly for this cruise, and they offered up an amazing sunset. What a night! There’s nothing that can possibly top the experience we had with these two wonderful hosts. Book it now. Whether as a couple or a small group, you’ll be in for a memorable experience with people that have the biggest hearts and they put every bit of their heart into their business. They are generous, thoughtful, and loving. My husband and I are on such a high! Thank you Nadia and Paolo.

Highly recommend this private cruise! Lovely couple that took us on the 6 Bridges Cruise. We had multiple places to sit on the boat and warm blankets ready for us with a delicious spread of meats and cheeses plus port wine and specialty drinks. Great experience!

We had a wonderful cruise. The crew was very hospitable, responsive and shared a lot of local knowledge about the bridges, Gaia and Porto. It was an extremely windy day but they kept us safe and warm with blankets. They made sure we enjoyed the gorgeous sunset and surprised us with their famous treat pastel del nata.

Nadia and Paulo made us extremely welcome and comfortable. We chose the 5pm cruise to watch the sunset, the river, bridges and views of Porto are stunning, Nadia’s knowledge of Porto was very impressive. We were provided with blankets, port drinks and charcuterie boards it was amazing. They are exceptional hosts and attention to detail was second to none, thank you both so much and for taking photos for us too it is an experience we will never forget. We were a party of four girls ages 29, 38, 44 and 70 and all of us highly recommend this trip.

We had a great time, beautiful, very confortable, Paolo and Nadia can not be more nice and sweet with every detail, we enjoyed the most wonderful views and delicious local drinks plus charcuterie board, we could not ask for more!

We were amazed with Nadia& Husband’s passion for their city, the river and their boat. We felt right at home and enjoyed many conversations about several topics as well as the history about GAIA . Immediately we were asked to select wine or cocktails from a menu. Nadia placed out a table with cheese, nuts, jam, chips, bread & crackers. Super cozy and pleasant.

Nadia and Paolo were fabulous! The weather could have been a little bit better, it was overcast and we didn’t get to see a sunset but the trip was still a 10/10. The cushions up top were very comfortable, Nadia had blankets for us when it got a little chilly and she was a great tour guide. Thanks for a very memorable night on the river!

What an incredible sunset boat ride we had with Nadia and Paolo. Our hosts were very warm and friendly. They served up a wonderful selection of snacks, cheeses and meats along with a complimentary drink. Cruising the river they pointed out and discussed many current and historical statues and places. The boat was very comfortable and one had a protected area if needed from any poor weather. Seating was excellent . Having a private cruiser for us made a very memorable tour and we highly recommend this family owned and operated company .

I thought I had sent this review at the time – apologies for the delay. It was a little difficult to locate the boat but when we finally arrived we were given a very warm welcome by Nadia & Paolo. They are such a nice couple. The route of the trip shows off this glorious city perfectly – the bridges, the houses ..... the hills!! While receiving a very informative commentary, we enjoyed a delicious ‘picnic’ with a tasty variety of local food and delicious wines. Fortunately the weather was perfect so our experience of watching the sunset was truly magical. One of the most memorable moments I can remember. A truly special couple of hours which I will look to repeat on any future visit to Porto. Thank you so much, Nadia & Paolo.

We could rate this experience as 6, we will do. We had the amazing boat trip, organisation and hospitality of the trip was more than we could expect. Snacks and drinks from local producers accompanied the trip perfectly. The captain and his wife gave us additional tips and historical insights about Porto, we were happy to be their guests. This trip will be in our hearts for many many years.

The boat ride was amazing and Nadia was super welcoming and helpful! Smooth sailing on the river and they really went the extra mile to make us enjoy the experience, would definitely recommend!

I have only positive things to say about this experience. The hosts were wonderful from the start and immediately made us feel welcome and right at home. The boat is spacious, and the route will take you through all the beautiful bridges in Porto before ending in the estuary where the magnificent Douro river meets the Atlantic ocean. We selected the sunset option, which truly takes this to the next level. We were unprepared for how chilly and windy it would be- but Paolo and Nadia had our backs with cozy blankets to complement the delicious drinks and snacks they had prepared for us. Don’t hesitate anymore, if you’re looking for an unforgettable view, delightful drinks, and a rich atmosphere, this is the one. Better yet, all in a private space for you and your group to set the vibe. My tip: since the marina is large and there are many options to meet the hosts, reach out early and make sure the exact meeting point is super clear!

We had such a wonderful evening with Nadia & Paolo! 6 of us had spend 4 days in Porto and this was our last night - we did the evening sunset cruise and highly recommend it! 2+ hours on a nice sized boat - all six of us we able to sit up front, some of us sat/lay higher, and toured through the bridges and then back to the Ocean, which was calm, for fabulous view of the sunset. Nadia is so delightful, she has such a passion for Porto and the area, and was fun to be with, and Paolo steered the boat in and out of wakes from larger boats so it was an extremely comfortable ride - we were so relaxed. Even though it was a warm day (around 80 / 27c), it got a little breezy when the sun was sinking and they had tons of blankets for us. They had nice charcuterie boards and we ordered delicious drinks - all in all it was a great way to cap our time in Porto. They were recommended by friends and lived up to it. If you can do sunset, go for it - but it would have been great at any time of day!

This sunset tour back in February was simply amazing! I'm reflecting back on my trip there and realized I had not written a review. If anyone gets a chance to take this tour while also relaxing and taking in the beauty of the water and city.....please do so. Nadia and Paulo were personable and great tour guides. We visitied during Valentine's weekend. They made it all the more special. Great music, scenery, energy, food, and sangria! Thank you sharing and for making the experience unforgettable. I can't wait to come back!

This was my second time on this cruise. We had so much fun the first time around that I knew this would be the perfect birthday surprise for my mother. And disappointment there was none: we were doted upon by Nadia and her husband from beginning to the end of the cruise in more ways that we could have imagined - surprise cake included. If you want a magical sunset experience, you will not find anything better than Almadouro.

What could I say?!? We embarked on a boat tour and got off knowing Porto a bit more but also left our tour guides(Nadia & Paolo) as friends. They are nurturing, kind and fun. Relaxing river and sunset tour on the Douro river, Porto. Our hosts Nadia & Paulo were very welcoming and the food and drinks served were perfect. We really enjoyed the cruise down the river and the sunset on the ocean was a perfect end to the evening. Would definitely recommend.

We had 3 couples on the boat tour on the final day of our stay in Porto. Paulo and Nadia we very friendly and helpful with drinks, snacks, and blankets as we all sat on the front of the boat for a comfortable and enjoyable boat ride in the city of Porto. This boat trip just for 3 of us was a perfect way to get to know the history of Porto/Gaia. Our host provided lots of insight and history for half the journey and let us then relax with drinks and snacks for the other half. Definitely recommend!

After spending 2 wonderful days in the Duoro Valley we went to Porto. Here we had the priviledge to go on an unforgetable private river cruise with the most adorable hosts Paulo and Nadia. During the 2 hours cruise Nadia passionately shared her knowledge of the city she so dearly loves. We were spoiled with delicious snacks and welcome drinks while Paulo steered the boat in relaxed manner. Highly recommended !

Well, if we could give this 100 stars, we sure would!!!! It was perfect from start to finish and far exceeded our expectations! Nadia and Paulo were the most amazing hosts we’ve ever experienced and we’ve had a lot. They went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and were great to interact with! We weren’t sure what to expect with a morning boat tour but it was wonderful! The waters were calm and quiet and the views stunning! Nadia provided us with so much information and recommendations and her enthusiasm was contagious! The treats and beverages provided were beyond amazing! Honestly, don’t hesitate to book this tour and it was well, well worth the money we paid. 1000% recommended and if we are back in Porto, we will redo this excursion for sure!

If you don’t like feeling crowded, this the best way to experience the river - private tour boat with owners Nadia and Paulo. They were friendly, engaged but let us dictate the tone. Provided drinks (best sangria!) and charcuterie board w cheese, meat, fruit. It was lovely. A fun time with people who live in Porto!

Nadia and Paulo absolutely the most charming and warm couple. They provide a fantastic boat tour experience. Although it was a cloudy and cold day for a boat trip, we really had best time. Nadia grew up in Porto, so the tour was personal and authentic. So much more interesting than a large boat tour with a script. It’s a perfect way to learn about Porto. The snacks and port wine they served was a perfect touch. It felt like we were with old friends showing us their city. I would highly recommend this experience. Side note- the meeting location is not in the main tourist port with all the big tour boats, it’s at a small dock west of there. We got a bit confused with the addresses listed on our ticket information making us late. Luckily we were the only 4 that day so Nadia was so kind when we called and helped get us to the location.

I booked this tour for our family of three (husband and 21-month old daughter). We could not have been more delighted by the hospitality and kindness shown to us by Nadia and Paolo. Their boat is very comfortable for a small group and we were able to sit on the bough and enjoy the perfect spring sunny day. This was my daughter’s first time on a boat and any apprehension she had was immediately neutralized by the beautiful and delicious snack and charcuterie board that was clearly prepared with love by Nadia (and her mother!) We immediately felt like family, Paolo played peekaboo with my daughter while steering the boat and Nadia spent some time entertaining her which meant my husband and I got to relax and enjoy the beauty surrounding us. We HIGHLY recommend this tour and we will plan to take it again if we ever have the opportunity to return! Obrigado família!

Wow! What an incredible trip we had! This boat ride was the highlight of our entire trip to Portugal. From start to finish we were treated so incredibly nice and respectfully. We received incredible information about the area we were passing through, and the hosts had no problem answering any questions we had about Porto. We were then served amazing snacks and drinks and left to indulge on our own and enjoy the scenery. We passed so many boats on the water that were crammed with tourists, and all of them looked at us like they wished they had booked a private tour like we did! It really just made the experience so personal and awesome. Book this tour and thank me later!

The Douro 6 Bridge River Cruise is the best!!! This cruise was the highlight of my family's trip in Porto, Portugal. Paulo as our captain and Nadia as our 1st mate were the best. Nadia is a wealth of Porto knowledge and always made sure our glasses were full plus she served us yummy snacks, homemade by her mother, such a treat. Paulo is an excellent captain, smooth sailing (motorboat) through the river. We highly recommend The Douro 6 Bridge Cruise. It's a must if you're in Porto. Reserve it now. You won't be disappointed. Excellent communication, yes Nadia speaks English and yes there's a head on board.
