Excellent Fado experience. I really knew nothing about Fado other than having people recommend going to one. This experience is a great way to learn and be entertained. They serve you a glass of port, it's a small setting. Live music begins the program and then it alternates between a documentary film and live performances. The guitarist (2) were fantastic and two different singers equally talented. Really enjoyed this program.

This was one of the best hours I spent in Portugal! Getting to learn about some of the history and instruments of fado in addition to hearing/feeling the ethereal voices of the singers and prodigious skill of the guitarists was phenomenal!

An intimate venue with an informative film interspersed with talented live performances taking one hour in total. What spoilt it for me was the solo singer who sang in casual clothes with his hands in his pockets and drinking from a carton. I felt the music and occasion deserved more respect.

This was one of the highlights of our stay in Porto. The atmosphere was intimate, authentic, and incredibly moving from beginning to end. We really appreciated the interesting introductions between the songs, which helped us understand the history and emotions behind Fado. The musicians were outstanding, and both singers were exceptional. The female singer was absolutely phenomenal. Her voice was beautiful, powerful, and full of emotion. She captivated the audience from the very first note and gave us goosebumps more than once. Her performance was simply unforgettable. A very special moment was hearing the organizer share his own story about discovering Fado as a student. It made the evening feel even more personal and authentic. His own performance was equally impressive and reflected his genuine passion for this unique musical tradition. The quality of the music throughout the evening was outstanding, and the glass of Port wine was a lovely addition to the experience. We left deeply impressed and genuinely moved. We would highly recommend this performance to anyone visiting Porto. Thank you for such a memorable evening!

A very professional and passionate performance. The small venue was central and easy to find, and air conditioned! The staff was very kind and provided explanations in English for the small audience. The talent of the Fado performers was second to none! Truly outstanding!

This is a wonderful experience, especially if you want to learn more about Fado and the culture surrounding it. It was strange to be in row seating for this experience, but the singers and the information made up for that. The male singer was the best male singer was really talented, the best we had heard and we had gone to three fado shows.

What a lovely experience! Two fado singers, male and female, great acoustic guitar artists and port wine during the show. The presentation explaining the history of the genre was informative and well put together. The evening was well paced and very, very enjoyable! Well worth it!

This was a great introduction to Fado music in a small intimate venue near the river. They offered us a glass of Port Wine upon arrival. The 2 guitar players were amazing and they had a woman and man singer who were very talented. The show lasted an hour and there was a short film which gave us information about the history of Fado music. I would recommend this venue!

If you are vacationing in Porto, Portugal you absolutely must go to Fado Na Baixa Porto! For $19 you’ll experience Fado with: a superb (regular) guitar player, an even more superb Portuguese guitar player, and both a male and female Fado singer with beautiful voices and passionate performances. In between songs, they play short video clips which explain Fado and give its history and meaning which makes this experience even more memorable. Oh yes…and you get a glass of port wine, too. Please go before they realize that they could charge a lot more for this magnificent experience.

Our Fado experience in Porto was the perfect ending to our Portugal trip. It was wonderful to learn about the history of Fado and its deep cultural roots. The Portuguese guitar paired with the soulful songs is mesmerizing. Even without knowing the language, you can truly feel the passion. Highly recommended! The performance is a total of an hour and included a glass of Port wine.

The show was excellent. A vey interesting combination of beautiful fado music, instrumental music with a Portuguese Fado guitar, background explanation of the songs and a video explaining the history of Fado, it evolution over the years and important Fado singers. Highly recommended.

I loved this show! It was great that several videos explaining the history of fado were presented during the show -- my only complaint is that guitarrists played their guitars while the videos were shown; which made it difficult hearing the explanations. The wine was also great.

All presented in an intimate and heartwarm atmosphere in the old town of Porto - and served with a glass of fine Port. A must see and hear experience!
