Porto: Electric Bike Rental From 1 To 4 Days

The e-bikes were very nice, but one of the bikes had a problem before we were halfway through our ride and its electric motor basically stopped working. (It gave a tiny bit of assist, but the computer gave an error message and the e-assist mostly failed from that point on.) Fortunately the bike was not too heavy, but if we had been on a hilly route it would have been difficult. Also and perhaps more important, the staff were not very focused on providing us with helmets, and the helmets they had didn’t appear to be very nice. When I asked about a helmet, the attendant seemed surprised, and then said that no one wears them. However, virtually all of the other cyclists we saw all day wore helmets, and we would have been smart to have them, especially in the car traffic and on the road through Gaia out toward the beach before we reached the bike path. A bit more focus on safety and quality would go a long way at this shop! On the plus side, their location is fantastic (no uphill riding when you return - they are on the riverbank!), and we had a fantastic time biking out to the beach and back. We were glad to have the opportunity to spend a day on bikes in this beautiful place.

The most uncomfortable seats. We did a 4 hour bike rental. Everything else was great but my butt hurt so bad that it made the ride unenjoyable.

I reserved e-bikes and got a confirmation number but no details on what to do next or where to go to pick up bikes. My credit card was charged. I did not get details because I mistyped my email. I tried to send messages to TripAdvisor to correct my email and never got a reply. I also tried to call but they do not have a number to call in Portugal.

Good service and easy to find. Cheaper than the other rental near our hotel. The other bike was a bit rusty and breaks were noisy but it worked well. Cycled to the Atlantic.

Incredible service! Very friendly and helpful with routes. We accidentally booked for the wrong day and they still let us use the bikes. Very central- we went along the coast and stayed at the beach.

Great day out along the Douro, we were able to visit places you just can't reach by walking. There are many quaint places along the river and ocean to experience. We were able to navigate to two fishing villages to enjoy local sourced food well outside the tourist district. We could see surfers trying out the waves along the beach. The bikes had plenty of battery to get up hills (which you need in Porto) and were comfortable for a full day of riding. Staff were multilingual and very friendly.

Fun to get away from the crowds. But I needed to ride on the smooth paved flat area before tackling the hills and cobblestones!!!

The bike was in very good condition and the batteries very well charged. The impeccable Welcoming. We took a great walk along the Douro it is really an activity to advise.

All well arranged. Reserved the bikes in advance on the website. Even with my height of 2m they had a suitable bike.

The first bike I got had some flaws. When we went back and I asked for another bike, they really tried and I got another bike. The bikes are otherwise ok, which we have rented. We cycled about 50 km and my friend's battery was still 30% left.

Although the staff is helpful, the owner is unfriendly and unwilling to sincerely listen to our complaints. Rented six e-bikes. Five fine, but one often had an error in the information screen that caused the engine to keep cutting out. Upon returning, the owner rode the bike 30 meters and said there was nothing wrong. A bad review, he said, wouldn't matter to him. Quality, safety and location of the business leave much to be desired. Especially don't rent bicycles here!

Couldn't cycle as far as we wanted as the battery on the bikes couldn't go as far as promised. Very sad Paid full price anyway.
