My husband and I had an amazing time traveling on this tour. Johnny was delightful. Of course he took us to the amazing Douro Valley but we fell we were on a one-of-a-kind adventure. We Visited a family winery and then later in the day had an authentic Portuguese lunch at the home of a darling couple. Wee believe we got a true sense of being in Portugal. In our case, we had both English and German guests and he was able to flip back-and-forth with ease. if you have an opportunity to take this tour, grab it because it was a highlight of our trip.

We had an amazing day in the Douro Valley with Jonathan! The whole trip was relaxed, comfortable, and very well organized. The highlight was visiting an authentic family vineyard, where Luis shared his family's winemaking history and explained the wine-making process in a really interesting and engaging way. The wine tasting was excellent, and it felt like a genuine local experience. Lunch at the family-run restaurant was delicious, and the hospitality was outstanding. Everyone made us feel so welcome. Overall, it was an informative, enjoyable day with great wine, great food, and a fantastic guide. We would definitely recommend this tour!

My fiance and I were lucky enough to somehow end up on this tour by ourselves with Jonny and we couldn’t have had a better time! He has thoughtfully and carefully crafted the perfect day to explore the duoro valley and experience it as if you were a local. We went to a lesser known vineyard which to me was so special to see because he cares so much about his product and building his future with his family, the boat tour was a nice break in the afternoon & we ended with a local lunch cuisine that was incredible. Jonny even stops at a special view point that you can’t get too if your on a bigger tour and helped us celebrate our recent engagement with additional champagne. Everything about the experience was great and we’re so thankful to Jonny for being so kind, informative and fun to hang out with for the day!! Highly suggest tour !!

We had a wonderful time with Jonny in the Douro Valley. When he talks about having a “homemade-style Portuguese” lunch and visiting an “authentic, family-owned” wine estate, he is vastly understating the experience. While we also visited a major, historic estate, the lunch and tasting at the smaller wine estate felt like visiting family. We ate in the owners’ home, and to top it off, their 22 year-old tawny port was outstanding. It all felt warm, welcoming, and intimate. Thank you!

We had such a great time, Jónatas is a very nice and funny person. He showed us so many beautiful places and the van was super comfortable. Everything went smoothly, he picked us at our hotel at the right time and dropped us off at the hotel as well. We've done a tour before with another company but this one was way better. I had an amazing time on the Douro wine tour with our guide Jonny, last September! I signed up for this tour as I really love the Portuguese wine and food culture, but prefer to supporting local and traditional businesses which make the experience feel more personal and less mainstream - and honestly thats what I got! Jonny's concept is great, he has great knowledge, is super friendly and comes always with a joke, while showing you stunning places and connects you with the culture by heart. A day trip that went exceptionally well. Picked up on time, driven very comfortably in a Mercedes bus, super nice guide who gave lots of fun information about the country, people, and wines. The tasting and the visit to the winemaker were also very well prepared... and delicious. Boat trip and the drive to an extraordinary view of the valley rounded everything off. Great care with lots of fun!

The tour with Jonny was an all-round successful and unforgettable day. Initially we were a bit skeptical about having to start at 08:00 in the morning during our holidays – but it was absolutely worth it! Jonny gave us exciting insights into Portugal and especially the beautiful Douro Valley with a lot of charm and knowledge. The ride in the van was very pleasant, and thanks to Jonny's humor and entertainment talent, time flew by. A special highlight was the fantastic winery with the port wine tasting – we would have loved to stay there right away! However, we would have missed the delicious lunch in an equally idyllic place. Plus the boat tour on the river- it was wonderful. The tour took place in a small group of only 8 people, which created a very personal and relaxed atmosphere. We had a lot of fun and were able to get to know the country and people in a very special way.

We had a really nice time that day. Communication with Local Experiences Portugal was easy and straightforward. And very reliable. We had a great focus on a German tour, which was also very well met. Even if it is not possible in all cases, because the individual parts of the tour do not always speak German of the owners, owners or other parts of the company. Nevertheless, we were all able to communicate very well and everyone is very eager to help. The tour with all the components was great. We had a wine demonstration at its finest. The boat tour was good and sufficient. The stopover at the viewpoint was great (as you can see from the pictures). The food was just awesome. The subsequent walk was good and informative, with beautiful motifs. And the pick-up and drop-off service was fun, entertaining and entertaining. You just have to come to the Douro valley :-). We spent a great day in the Douro valley and surroundings. Jonny had a lot of interesting information (in German and English) for us. However, the sound quality of the Bluetooth speaker has some room for improvement. The tasting of the port wines at Croft was fine. My family and I spent an unforgettable day with Jonatas in the Doura Valley today! We have been offered an "all-round package" that we did not expect. On the one hand, through the very familiar wine tasting in the 1st Winery - without wanting to reveal too much - the selection of the program (variety without time pressure), but mainly for the reason that we did not have the impression to do the tour with a guide but with a good acquaintance! Thanks for that and for the good music in the car!

Sehr gut geführte Tour. Viel Wissen wurde vermittelt. Jonatas war immer auf unser Wohl bedacht. Er lies keine Hektik aufkommen. Die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten wie Kaffee, Gebäck oder Wasser kamen immer zum richtigen Zeitpunkt. Wir fühlten uns immer Wohl und versorgt.

Yesterday we enjoyed a small group tour in the Douro Valley with our friendly guide Jonatas. Especially the small local wine growers who have fed us with a lot of heart and passion were great. With Jonatas, the day tour was so entertaining and enjoyable. We made small stops in beautiful places that we would never have found on our own. Thank you for this great experience. Our guide Jonny has planned an individual tour through the Douro and Tua valleys for us. The tour was very varied from hiking to tasting local specialties in small pubs. He led us to dreamlike, partly hidden places, far away from the typical tourist routes. Jonny in particular, with his funny German-Portuguese manner, has also let the one or the other steep climb pass quickly. We felt completely comfortable, can only recommend a tour and wish Jonny continued success for his young company.

I loved my tour of the Douro. The trip to the valley was quick and with amazing views of the surrounding nature. The guide was very attentive and managed to make everyone have the utmost attention with their stories of the Douro and its people. The farm was very well cared for and with typical wines of good level of the region. Lunch was one of the moments I liked the most, as we tried local food made by locals and ingredients from the area. What a beautiful day! The tour was super relaxed, with great stops, delicious wine and a fantastic view. Our guide was mega likeable and had many exciting stories in store. Everything was well organized, but without stress – just right to enjoy the Douro Valley to the fullest and at the same time to have supported locals. Jonny is a great, funny tour guide. He takes great care of the well-being of all participants. It is important to him that everyone feels comfortable and speaks German very well. We could always follow him well and we had a lot of fun through his good entertainment! The route or sights were wonderful!
