Reviews
Once we found the right boat it was easy. It was fun to travel down the river and hear the history of the bridges. We enjoyed it very much.
Very enjoyable river cruise with multilingual audio.
It was very hot and little shade except by the river.Having said that we still had a good time.
A nice cruise down the river. I recommend sitting in front to have an unobstructed view of the coast.
On June 21, I purchased a ticket and waited for nearly two hours for the boat. However, I later learned from the police that the boat service was not operating because of the air show. I do not understand why tickets were still being sold when the service had been suspended. As a result, I wasted a considerable amount of time and experienced significant inconvenience. I am leaving Porto on the morning of June 22 and therefore will not have another opportunity to take the cruise. For this reaso
Make sure you check in with the right boat. Views from the river are great and the cruise was the perfect length of time
Easy to book and find and more intimate than the bigger boats
We finished our Sandemans tour and decided to book the tour, there are numerous companies offering tours all the same price = E18 so we opted for one that did the time we wanted . I scanned the QR code for commentary which was also provided in written form though I did struggle initially to figure out where I was and what was being commented on! Eventually audio commentary in a bit more detail was also provided via speakers but we struggled to hear what was being said. All in all it was around 45 mins, something to pass the time and learn a little. No onboard snacks available but there was a toilet.
We did this trip on 28 December. Based on the reviews we expected a guide with commentary on the history of the city especially the bridges. There was no guide or information provided.
Would recommend booking in advance , especially in busy summer season . Sunscreen is a must before trip. Extremely informative , beautiful views of the city & bridges , highly recommend !
Wonderful views of Porto & very informative . Huge thank you for accommodating my scheduled trip, went above & beyond to make my time in Porto amazing !
We experienced the sunset 6:30 ride and it was amazing. Easy to get tickets and very friendly staff. Cristina was great. A smaller boat but great seats and views. Highly recommend.
Although the weather was a bit gloomy, the Douro Six Bridges Cruise was a very interesting and enjoyable experience. It offered beautiful views of the city and the river — definitely worth doing!
It was a wonderfull sunset boatride with great views from the water. The people at the docks are really nice and have a lot of tips for food etc. as well.
Boring tour. Was difficult to figure out how to do it. Then it was a recording of the info that played the full hour. Also was cold at evening. Do not recommend. No local personal touch.
Great trip and great people! The children absolutely loved being on the “pirate ship” and so did the adults to be honest!
Perfect and unforgetable experience to get to know part of Porto! Super friendly staff and a super cool boat. The wonderful views are also worth mentioning 👌
We had a wonderful time on the Six Bridges Cruise along the Douro River. The views of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia from the water are simply stunning, especially with the mix of old and modern bridges connecting the two cities. The boat was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. It’s a short trip, but absolutely worth it to see the city from a different perspective. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Porto!
You can exchange the booked tickets for admission tickets in front of the boats, you see all the bridges, on board you have the option to order something to drink, a restroom is available on the boat
Good and nice approach to the shore.
We cruised the 6 decks. We bought the tickets on site for the boat "Pirates" and paid in cash. In all advertisements and information boards at departure, it is displayed that an audio guide is present on the boat. We ask for confirmation, the person tells us "yes, yes there is an audio guide in French! What a disappointment!!!! First the boat goes up the Douro to go to the 1st of 6 decks. We saw it from a distance and didn’t even go under it... then as we passed under the other bridges, no comments... we ask the pilot if it is possible to have the audio guide and there he answers that it does not work... On the way back to the dock, we ask for explanations that we will never have... we also ask for a commercial gesture, the person offers us a simple little port mignonette stayed all day in full sun... and refuses any other compensation. A real tourist arnarque with false advertising...
The boat is original and the cruise is as pleasant as a larger tourist boat The price and duration are identical on all Ribeira
I recently made the boat ride on the 6 bridges of the Douro, from the Ribeira do Porto, and I can only say that it was absolutely wonderful! The view of the river is stunning, and watching the city from the water gives us a new perspective on its beauty and history. The boat was comfortable, clean and safe, and the whole crew was very friendly and professional. The trip was calm and relaxing, with an interesting narrative (in several languages) that allowed us to learn more about the bridges, the riverly neighborhoods and the importance of the Douro for the city. Highlight for the Don Louis I Bridge, which is always imposing, but also for the Foz area viewed from a distance – all absolutely charming. The tour is ideal for all ages and perfect for taking amazing photos. I highly recommend this experience to those who visit Porto. Worth every minute and is a fantastic way to get to know one of the most beautiful sides of the city. No doubt, one of the highlights of my trip!
Fantastic experience and the service provided by the company and its employees was essential and magnificent, given that it was the celebration of a 90-year-old grandfather's birthday. Thank you for everything.
