Porto: 6 Bridges Tour, Douro River With 4 Port Wine Tasting

Lovely clean boat, it was a small group too. Tour guide was very informative and the wine was great.

It was great trip, a little concerned no safety info given at all, eg position of life jackets if needed etc. the sunset was great but sea state was pretty high rolling ( not breaking ) waves which some people may have found worrying. All was fine just as a boater myself thought that some less experienced people may have been a little concerned. All in all I would recommend 😊

A lovely way to spend an afternoon! It was nice to get out onto the water and David was really lovely in answering all of our endless questions. The small group size was great too.

This tour was a real highlight of our time in Porto. Our guides were very knowledgeable about the history of the buildings and the bridges that we saw. The boat was very comfortable. There were only 8 of us onboard, so it felt like being out with a group of friends. The port wine tasting was an excellent addition to the trip.

The weather wasn’t great, but we still had a great time. The boat was very nice. The hosts were very knowledgeable. I would recommend.

Awesome experience! My recommendation is to take this tour at the very begging of your trip to Porto, because it gives nice overview of what Porto offers. Guys on the boat shares a lot of useful advices about authentic local food and places worth to see, also how to avoid tourist scams. 10/10

Lovely boat tour on a cloudy day!

Well organised and a very comfortable boat. A good selection off port to sample as you pass under the 6 bridges with a comprehensive explanation of them the surroundings and the port wine. The two tour guides were very friendly and happy.

Our captain Pedro was fabulous with history on Porto and Gaia and the local wine was great! Small group was nice too!

Mota was a great tour guide! The port wines were delicious. I learned a lot about Porto and Gaia on this tour.

A great way to see the famous six bridges. Our hosts Pedro and Jose were charming and informative. The selection of ports and wines was impressive and the measures were generous. We understood a lot more about Porto, its development and history thanks to this tour.

This was such a fabulous experience. The guides are knowledgable and relaxed. Just the right amount of information. The views are stunning both up and down the river. Blankets are provided when it was chilly. Port wine with four varieties utterly delicious. Highly recommend. Lots of places to sit in the sun or in the shade. Beautiful Porto will be back again soon.

This was such a beautiful sunset cruise. We were able to go up river much farther than the sailboats and got to see 6 bridges as the listing said. It was so great getting the history of the cities on either side of the river and delicious port wine along the way. We ended the trip with a few moments in the Atlantic Ocean as the sun went down. That crew was so kind, knowledgeable and helpful! Can’t recommend it enough!

Dress for the day- our trip was on a cloudy April afternoon and the weather was a little chilly on the water. The wine helped warm things up!

Had an amazing Douro River cruise with my girlfriend, learning about the history of Porto from a unique perspective. The tour covered all six bridges, with interesting explanations about each one and their role in the city’s history. Silvia and Pedro were fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable, the perfect hosts. Silvia even took some lovely photos of my girlfriend and me on the boat, which we really appreciated. They created a fun, relaxed atmosphere for everyone on board while delivering an excellent tour. We also loved having a choice of wines to sample during the cruise, which made the sunset experience even better. I would recommend this boat tour to anyone visiting Porto.

We had a wonderful time. This was a very comfortable way to spend the afternoon. We sipped port wine while learning about the history of the area as well as the unique features of the six bridges.

Lovely friendly small group ( takes max of 6) tour of 6 bridges with port tasting. ( if you don’t like port there are alternatives) The 2 brothers very friendly & informative & looked after us well

Basic tour with very attentive guides. Beautiful day on the river. If you want deeper history take the longer tours. This was fine for our needs. It would be great if given cheese & salami then it would be 5 stars. We received basket of popcorn and nachos Yes, I would recommend. Tour operator very nice and fair. We booked wrong day outside of cancelation period and he offered full money back. Greatfully we were able to get on the correct date.

My husband and I went on this trip while we were on our honeymoon and really enjoyed our time. It is a whole day’s worth so be prepared, but we had an amazing time. I do wish the boat part of the tour included wine as well or was a different layout as it was a little crowded for my preference. Other than that, the food was great, wine was great, guide was fantastic and super friendly!

We really enjoyed the two hours out on the water. The 4 Port tastings were great!! If you want to see Porto from the water this is a good choice.

Small boat with excellent crew. A good way of enjoying a couple of hours on the river and seeing different views of porto. Way better than the crowded tourist boats and get to drink 4 different ports on the way!

The guides were so informative. They pointed out so many interesting facts about the journey. The wine tasting was excellent. I would highly recommend them.

These guys were wonderful. I’m under the impression they are brothers but perhaps it’s because they work well together. Alone near the cabin, I was the solo, arthritic older woman sitting separately from two large groups of young men and women who occupied the front and top of the boat. But, despite the spread the crew was good about ensuring each group got the information and attention they required. This included repeated pouring of port and or green wine, juice or water. The tour was informed, and well presented. While, sail after sail, you’d assume the constant repetition of facts would be ripe for decline, this crews’ fluent knowledge of the architecture and history of each bridge combined with their youth and enthusiasm seemed to remain fresh. In fact, at moments, it seemed as if they were actually sharing some recent discovery. At the end of the tour, my phone had died and the two helped by not only finding me a charging cord that would fit, but then sitting with me while it charged. This was after everyone else had left and they had already cleaned and closed up the boat. They waited until I could charge my phone enough to contact Uber, and then waited longer with me until the driver came. It was a very kind gesture. I suggest you opt for this 6 bridge tour. It’s Perfect!

The perfect way to end the day this boat! Prefer to a sailboat as it can pass under all of the bridges, and give you blankets if you get cold! Very knowledgeable crew!

We had a wonderful experience on the 6 Bridges River Cruise and Port Wine Tasting, hosted by a lovely husband and wife team. It was a perfect way to enjoy the beauty of Porto from the water while learning more about the city’s history and culture. The boat itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable—plenty of space to relax and take in the stunning views along the Douro River. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous, and it was such a peaceful and enjoyable way to see the six iconic bridges from a new perspective. Our hosts were warm, knowledgeable, and spoke excellent English. They shared interesting facts about the city and its landmarks, but also gave us plenty of time to just soak in the views and enjoy the ride. It was a great balance between guided commentary and quiet moments to just appreciate the experience. The selection of four port wines was excellent—well-chosen and delicious. It was a lovely tasting that gave us a good introduction to the different styles of port, and our hosts took the time to explain each one. The only slight downside was that the meeting point was a bit tricky to find, as the directions on TripAdvisor could have been clearer. But once we found the boat, everything was smooth and well-organized. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a scenic and informative way to enjoy Porto—with the added bonus of tasting some great local port!

Favorite activity for my teens in Porto! Our hosts were very knowledgeable and kind, ensuring that everyone on the boat had a wonderful time. Being local, they know the history of the area well and put a personalized touch on the experience. The boat was spacious for the group of 10 and great balance of narrating as well as time to relax on the boat.
