Tour was informative and fun. We really enjoyed the wine tasting. The river cruise was just beautiful! Great way to see Porto.

Highlight of our trip to Porto! Vitor was our guide — incredibly kind, knowledgeable and accommodating. One of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. The boat ride through the valley was beautiful.
Amazing experience . Vitor Alves was a very warm and incredibly knowledgeable tour guide, and the food and cruise were amazing. The views of Douro were beautiful
We loved our guide Sarah and our driver! Had a great time, great wine and great food.
It was a lovely day….very organised and slick! Great time at the vineyards, lovely lunch and cruise down the river! Also great to meet many new people! Thank you so much!!
This was an absolutely amazing experience. I went with João and had such a fun time. I will admit I knew nothing about wine, and I still don’t (though there was a nice tour about them), but I definitely enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this tour. I went by myself, and it was fine because everyone was so friendly that I felt very safe. The wine was absolutely delicious. We had a wine tasting at the stop. And then, during lunch, we had access to unlimited wine, followed by a tasting of Porto wine. We also went on a boat tour of the Duoro valley, and it was quite nice, especially as no one else was on the boat!!
First visit to Fonseco port lodge was fantastic educational experience. Then 2 smaller places were less exciting and very repetitive. We enjoyed some of the port wines more than others. And we learned a lot. Victor was very friendly and helpful
Porto is NOT flat. Unless you have mobility issues, don’t let some ups and downs stop you from enjoying a great walk around the city.
Vitoe lead us on this tour and was very informative and entertaining with his humour. The tasting was great and the scenery incredible.
My mom María had the best tour ever, thanks to João. We learn, enjoy and had a great time at this beautiful Portugal área! Thank you Sheyla and João.
Sarah was a fantastic guide for our wine tour. She was funny, personable, and made the whole day so enjoyable. She kept everything running smoothly and made sure we had a great time at each stop. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide!
Guide may have been a bit to young. Knowledge of area was very limited and was often negative. The group felt rushed often at times and he did not go out of his way to get to know the five people in his group at all
Rita iss an amazing guide, her kindness and ability to make everyone feel welcome and included. She is also very humourous. Absolutely love her jokes. By the end of the day, it felt less like a tour and more like a memorable day spent with a friend who wanted to show us the very best of her home. She knows the history well and always managed to slip in a bit of trivia every now and then.
Rita was great. Such a great way to see the region. Met plenty of fun and interesting people also on the tour. Both winery tours were fantastic and the lunch was great 😎👍
It was an ok tour. Ricardo, the young guide had a tough time with 3 out of the 4 of us in the group having slight mobility issues. All credit to him taking easier routes when possible. Informative commentary. Guide 4/5. However, myself and my wife were having the Port Wine tour which we assumed was tagged onto the walking tour. Actually, it was at least 1 1/2 hours later so we were left on our own with only the address which was over the other side of the river. River Taxi not in use so the only option was to walk all the way, not ideal with a leg injury. Eventually found it and did enjoy the experience but not impressed with the structure of the tour concerning this activity. River trip so so.
Be prepared to do a lot of walking up and done hills as well as climbing stairs. We walked about 5 miles the day we went. Our tour leader Pedro was VR knowledgeable about the area and told us which sites that were worth visiting and suggested places to eat to enjoy authentic Portugese food. The wine tasting host was excellent.
This was a very informative and fun tour. Our tour guides (Rita and Andre) were very good. The places we went were beautiful, the food was great. I would highly recommend.
Lots of walking but fun & informative. We had visited some of the sites before but it was great to learn about the history
Superb guide with good paced tour. Loved the wines and opportunity to go into the valley….. would recommend this to everyone
Our guide Maria was great. I would not recommend the restaurant we went to however (meh) or the Duoro “river” boat ride. It was basically a tour of the bridges. If you want to see great scenery, book a boat tour of the Douro “Valley” instead.
It was a great tour. Sara was a magnificent guide and very knowledgeable. I travelled with my mom, who gets car sick, found the Douro Valley too windy and she turned green. Just a warning for other travellers. The wineries (2) were great and we got a lovely feel of local wineries. I recommend it.
Our tour guide Sara was wonderful and had a wonderful personality that made learning about the Douro area all the better. I went with my girlfriend and Sara was able to help facilitate groups to engage with one another which made the activities so much fun!
Juliana was a delightful guide who tailored the tour to our preferences. The comfortable air-conditioned vehicle made for a comfortable tour on a hot day.
Our guide was Paulo. While the tour says it is a Porto City Tour- I think that can easily be done without a tour and is walkable. Paulo was great. He drove us to the mouth of the river Douro (Foz do Douro), all the way to Matosinhos- things we could only do on a car. It was a spectacular drive. We then went to Gaia, had lunch, went on a cruise and enjoyed wine tasting. My family enjoyed the fact that it was in a car- and we did not have to walk much under the sun.
Paulo was a fantastic guide. A wealth of information about Porto and the region. If you haven’t been to Porto before I highly recommend doing this tour early in your trip. You’ll have a much better understanding of the city’s layout and where key attractions are located in relationship to each other.
Hernan was a fabulous guide, punctual, polite, informative and great fun. Everything went according to plan and the experience is unforgettable.
The overall experience was excellent! Our tour guide Sarah was a joy and very informative. She created a fun engaging tour which was great. I look forward to sharing what I learned with my family.
Tour was great , our guide Andre ,he was the best tour guy we had in Portugal. Wine tasting was great. Lunch was spectacular. The Port wine was fabulous.
I picked this tour because it had alittle of everything, guided tour, food, boat cruise and wine tasting. However, we were disappointed on the guided tour portion thru Porto. The guides (Paolo and driver) were very friendly and knowledgeable about Porto, but it was more of pointing out a few buildings and not really going into some of the most popular sites. They drove us around to areas outside of old Town, which was nice but I had hoped to go into some of the popular sites such as the famous train station. We enjoyed the restaurant and food was delicious, the port wine tasting was wonderful and the boat cruise was a beautiful way to see Porto. The issue I had with the city tour was not the guides but the not having the opportunity to see inside the free sites.
Very pleasant day spent with a great tour guide Paulo! Learning about Porto, seeing different sites of the city, wine testing, lovely river cruise, fun lunch and a beautiful sunset by the ocean side. It was a great experience that lasts. Thank you EFun Tours for the opportunity to experience the best!
Our 2nd memorable day with Paulo and fellow travellers. Very comfortable clean mini bus was steered skilfully by Paulo around the lesser visited highlights of Porto. Again he passionately talked about the history and use of the many places viewed. A super authentic Portuguese lunch with wines is included in the tour. Grand finale was our view of sunset towards the end of the trip. We will remember you Paulo for ever. Harry + 2
Great tour and amazing tour guide. We got picked up at our hotel and was met by Paulo. Paulo immediately made us feel very comfortable and excited for a jam-packed fun day. It was a nice small group (just the 3 of us) which made the tour feel more personalized. Paulo showed us around to all the great places in Porto and gave us plenty of time to get out, explore, and see the city. Paulo was extremely informative and made the tour. His knowledge on the history was truly fascinating! We felt like we were one of the locals touring with Paulo. His passion about the city reflects in everything he does and really made us appreciate the city even more. The city tour was fantastic, lunch was amazing, and the boat tour & port tasting was devine. I would highly recommend you do this tour & I would recommend Paulo as your tour guide. He took into consideration our interest in the city and went above and beyond to make sure we were able to see everything we wanted. Absolutely amazing tour and stunning city. THANK YOU PAULO SO MUCH!
This was an excellent, comprehensive tour of Porto. Our guide, Paulo, was terrific. He was knowledgeable and personable. He went the extra mile to ensure we had a great visit. The tour included lunch which was an abundant spread of Portuguese specialties. The Port Wine tasting was a good introduction to the varieties of Port. The river cruise was scenic - great photo ops. The churches are magnificent. We had so much fun thanks to Paulo. This is a great itinerary.
Enjoyable and informative tour of Porto and Giai. Lunch was authentic Portuguese and learned much with the tastings of Port wines.
Paulo was a Teriffic guide. This was a small group tour. Paulo picked up at out hotel. He is an expert at driving the streets of Porto and its rich history. He took up to all the important landmarks and, even better, many places the tourists don’t frequent. Paulo has a passion for his profession and it shows. We highly recommend his tour.
Such a memorable journey. The scenery was truly oneof a kind, plus I learned a new method for wine tasting that was so enjoyable thanks to the sommelier who introduced. Andof course, the drive and tour guide made our safety and togetherness their top priority!! Definitely something to add to your list of things to do.
Paolo made our Porto tour very special. His passion of local history, the insights of all historical sites, and local best places to eat was perfect. Big cheers from DC! This tour really takes you to the heart of Porto and it’s surroundings. From the wineries, to the churches, to the beautiful suburbs you get a true sense of this spectacular city.
Long day covering more of Porto than I expected . Great guide and a very comfortable car to show us the sites
Very well thought out tour. As hilly as Porto is it was a very easy walk. Excellent guides Rock and Magellan were amazing guides and people. Very friendly, knowledgeable and proud. Lunch, river tour and wine tasting was also fantastic. The lady who did the wine tasting was very good at her job.
Isabel and Jorge were AMAZING!!!! It was an awesome day because of their humour and hospitality. Felt like we knew them our whole lives!!!
Amazing, absolutely worth the money, I couldn't think of any better experience. We had Paolo as our driver and George for the walking tour. I cannot say enough good things, both are so knowledgeable. We got to know both Porto and Gaia and we knew exactly what to do when we had down time.
One of our favorite days in Portugal! We were picked up (and dropped off) at our hotel and taken to the meeting point to begin our 3 hour walking tour. Juan was so well informed, nice and fun to spend the day with. His knowledge of the history and modern local culture was amazing. The cruise was a lovely rest after a long walk. Lunch was fine, nothing special. Our private wine tasting was so much fun. Our host was very gracious, and explained the differences in the wines we sampled from their personal winery. It was nice to do as a small group.
We had a wonderful one day Porto tour with Hugo. He was very knowledgeable and took us on side streets and brought us to a quaint restaurant for lunch where we tried new and delicious foods. The port house (Churchill) was an excellent choice. The boat ride was nice but it was very difficult to follow the audio guide to know where to look. The highlights were all covered And we had a terrific day together.
We book an only English speaking tour but it turn out to be a Spanish and English tour. Our tour guide Sophie was rude. She gave us the impression that she does not like being there as a guide and complain about how little her salary was. She gets irritated and annoyed when we ask her questions. However our bus driver Lucas was very friendly and polite.
We had a very interesting day with Hugo. Everything went smoothly. He gave us lots of information about the sites and paced our time with him very well. The lunch was delicious and every aspect of the day was enjoyable. You won’t regret this experience!
This has to be one of the best tours I’ve ever been on. The walking tour with Mariana was fabulous. We saw everything and she was at the ready with all the history and stories. Lunch at a local cafe was scrumptious. Best veal I’ve had. So tender. Cruise along the Douro was so pleasant. Then a wonderful time at Churchill’s tasting Port wines. Pick up and drop off was great. 100% recommend this tour. A great way to see Porto. Extra Kudos to Jorge who drove us everywhere and was such fun to be with.
Review of: Private Porto city Tour full day (pick up and drop of in Porto) On September 6, 2018 at 9a.m. we were picked up at our hotel by our guide Bruno of Touch Tours. Bruno panned our tour the way that we did not stay in the long line to see the famous Book store, clime 240 steps to the top of the tower of clergies. We walked around the city accompanied by great stories about his hometown. The river Cruise was very enjoyable. In Gaia we toured one of the many port wine producers. We tasted red and white Port wine—-after a thorough education by an enthusiastic guide. Bruno is an excellent tour guide. He knows Porto and his enthusiasm, easy going demeanor, and deep knowledge made our day a pleasure. His English is flawless. We highly recommend Touch Tours and Bruno for anyone visiting the north of Portugal Bruno, Thank you for the Great Day Eleonor, Alex, Emma and Peter
We really enjoyed this. The first part was a walking tour with Jose, who is a student of history. He is exceptionally knowledgeable and brings the history to life with many fascinating details. We had a great lunch and then toured a winery where we were treated to four glasses of port. Our driver, George, was also excellent. And we lucked out in having only one other couple on the tour. This tour is a perfect way to orient yourself to Porto.

Our city walking tour guide was spectacular. He was very personable and knowledgeable, and we really enjoyed our time together. We would definitely recommend this tour and both of our guides - thank you for a great day.

This was a great trip. We were met at the time and place agreed. We spent a few minutes reviewing the plans with the guide - this was a wet day and some of the plans involved considerable walking, so we agreed to switch things around a bit. That worked very well, largely because the guide was friendly and helpful, clearly knew the city and our wet and dry options, and could communicate well. We recommend it highly as a most enjoyable introduction to Porto
