Nelson was an absolutely fantastic driver and guide for our journey from Porto to Lisbon. Along the way, he took us to Aveiro, Nazaré, Fátima, and Óbidos, making the journey itself a highlight of our trip. Nelson struck the perfect balance between sharing his wonderful knowledge of Portugal’s history and culture and giving us the freedom to explore each destination at our own pace. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Rui! There could not be a better way to travel between Lisbon and Porto. This was by far the best day of our entire trip. Our amazing guide, Rui, is intimately familiar with Portugal and provided so much helpful history and background that enriched our visits. Rui drove us from Portugal to Aveiro, where he helped us take a canal ride while he picked up a special local treat (ovos moles) for us to enjoy upon our return. We then went to Fatima, and he made sure we got to all of the stops we wanted including the homes of the three children. We also visited a very authentic cafe where we surrounded by true locals. Finally, we stopped in Óbidos and went to two amazing places to try ginja, a cherry liquor, and walked the medieval streets of the city. We ended in Lisbon, and Rui drove us through the city, explaining various areas and providing recommendations. We had so much fun and my family agreed it was the highlight of our entire trip. Rui is kind, generous, funny, and authentic, and he is an excellent guide. I booked the trip with 3 stops, which was designed to total around 9 hours. The tour company was flexible as to which stops we ultimately made, and whether we did all 3 or just did 2 with longer stops—you don’t need an exact plan when you book. We brainstormed our itinerary with Rui before settling on the specific cities, and we are so glad we took his recommendations, because they made all the difference! Thank you, Rui and Wonder Tours!

Tiago was a great guy who drove very well and got us safely to Lisbon. We stopped at 4 towns along the way which were lovely to see - the time spent in each was a bit rushed but we got a feel for each place. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to get from Porto to Lisbon.

The sleepy famous beach town of Nazare was our favorite stop on our ride to Lisbon. On our way we rode in a gondola, ate the best Portuguese lunch, and visited many beautiful historic sites. Mario was great. Pick us up and dropped us off no issues😁 highly recommend Mario!

Rui was an excellent guide and a driver. He picked us up promptly, took us to the best spots in Aveiro Nazare and Obidos. Made reservations at the best restaurant in Nazare with wonderful views, took us to a working shop which preserved the interior decor, tools, ambience from 1800's. We saw such old wine bottles that were beautifully preserved like they were meant to. We had a very engaging conversation through out the journey. My only regret was that I did not know about the tour company earlier, else would have booked more tours from them.

Nuno Silva Turned Our Transfer into One of the Best Days of Our Trip! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our transfer from Porto to Lisbon, with stops in Tomar and Nazaré, was far more than just transportation—it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip, thanks to Nuno Silva. Nuno was absolutely awesome from start to finish. Friendly, professional, easygoing, and genuinely invested in making sure we had an incredible experience, he made us feel like we were exploring Portugal with a knowledgeable local friend. He happily accommodated our requests along the way, even making an extra stop at a gas station so we could use the restroom, grab coffee, and pick up a few bottles of Portuguese wine. It may seem like a small gesture, but it perfectly reflected his willingness to go the extra mile to make our day comfortable and enjoyable. His recommendation for lunch in Nazaré was, without question, the best seafood meal we’ve ever had in our lives. Thanks to Nuno, we were seated at the most incredible table in the restaurant, overlooking the breathtaking coastline of Nazaré. Between the unforgettable food and the spectacular view, it became one of our favorite memories from Portugal. Nuno also knew every hidden viewpoint and the best photo spots, taking us to places we never would have found on our own. We came home with stunning pictures and unforgettable memories because of his local knowledge. What impressed us most was how much pride he clearly takes in his work. He wasn’t simply driving us from one city to another—he was making sure we experienced the very best Portugal has to offer. If you’re fortunate enough to have Nuno Silva as your driver, you’re in for an exceptional experience. He exceeded every expectation, and we can’t thank him enough for making our journey so memorable. We would recommend him without hesitation to anyone visiting Portugal!

Booked this trip because I needed to get from Porto to Lisbon with a large group(16) and wanted to see some towns (Coimbra and Obidos) on the way. I expected someone to just drive us, what we got was the best tour guides EVER! Nuno Silva and Vasco Silva were amazing. They made reservations for us to an authentic Portuguese restaurant, during the drive they were great conversations. They even had us taste test true Ginjha from a fifth generation maker. I can’t say enough about them. Was way more then any of us expected!!!!

The guide was very knowledgeable. He took us to four places that were beautiful. We enjoyed all the stops it was a great experience.

We did the 4 stop trip including Coimbra, Tomar, Nazare and Obidos and are very glad we did. Mario was very knowledgeable about each place and while he wasn’t a guide he suggested things to do and places to see at each stop. He was very amiable and knew a lot of history as well as current events. We felt like he was a good friend by the end of the trip. Highly recommended.

He gave us a great recommendation for dinner that night in Lisbon, which was our last night and we had a wonderful evening. Mario was right in time to pick us up at the port. The car was very comfortable and his driving was great. He gave us some history highlights and gave us the best spots to stop at in each ctown we visited. Lunch in Nazaré was a very typical restaurant with authentic food. He gave us plenty of time and flexibility for each visit. Definitely recommend Mario and the tour agency. Safe trip.

Luis did a great job taking us from Porto to Lisbon. He was very knowledgeable about the cities and countryside. He made great recommendations for stops. I would recommend this tour without reservation.

We cannot say enough good things about this tour. It was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Our tour guide Vasco was utterly amazing. He was so knowledgeable about the area. He showed us beautiful places and told us the history and stories behind them. He put a personal touch on every place we visited. We felt like we were traveling with a close friend or relative. With him we felt like we were seeing Portugal like a local. Not just the tourist spots. He took us to a small local restaurant where we ate a wonderful meal that we could never eat anywhere else. The places we visited were beautiful but the day was exponentially better with Vasco as our guide.

We had a wonderful drive with Mario from Porto to Lisbon, with stops in Aveiro, Coímbra and Óbidos. It was a great experience for our 83 year old father, who wanted to see these sights but needed to stop frequently. Mario had thoughtful suggestions to make everything as comfortable as possible for our father. He was kind and patient, and adapted quickly when we had to shorten our time in a city, or go to a rest stop. His car was very comfortable and perfectly clean. We would happily book again. We booked a Porto to Lisbon one way transfer with 3 stops during our visit to Portugal in March 2026 and it was perfection from the time of booking to the drop off at the destination. We were concerned about the impact of the damaging storms on our plans to do some sightseeing enroute by car from Porto to Lisbon and reached out to Wonder Tours to inquire. Patricia promptly responded back saying the affected areas had been cleared and that we would have no problems. She also provided relevant information about the optional halts so we could finalize the itinerary. With clear communication, we knew what to expect. We were notified that Phillipe would be driving us from Porto to Lisbon. Phillips arrived a bit earlier than the appointed time and made sure that we would not be rushed. The car was a comfortable Mercedes with enough room for us and our luggage. Once we were on the road, Phillipe acquainted us with the highlights of our selected stops. He also provided great commentary on the history and context of things that we would see. We were allowed plenty of time to explore at each of the stops and Phillipe even recommended a seafood restaurant for lunch at Nazare. After a comfortable lunch and walk on the beach at Nazare , Phillipe took us to get a view from the top of the cliffs at Nazare. It was a very pleasant and comfortable way to travel and get some sightseeing done while also learning quite a few things about Portugal. After the 3rd stop we had a wonderful drive to our destination hotel in Lisbon arriving at around 5:30 pm. Really enjoyed the experience

We had a good time with Mario. He is a safe driver and very kind and patient with my teenage son who had tons of questions. Mario was making conversation with my sons the whole trip. I don’t even think I would have that kind of patience. I didn’t do my homework before we went on the tour. Mario kindly pointed out the most tourist visit spot on the first stop. Then I used TripAdvisor to quickly search the next three stops. Mario knew what’s the best spots to drop us off. Over all, we had a great time with Mario. We highly recommend this experience!!

We had a wonderful journey as a family from Porto to Lisbon with a delightful leisurely stop in Coimbra. Vasco has vast knowledge of history, places and architecture. It was a fun and relaxing day, seeing beautiful sights and having a great meal.

David our driver was wonderful! He picked us up on time and was very friendly and warm. Loaded our luggage expertly as we had a lot of luggage. Great driving and he took us tomorrow two stops maneuvering through big crowds at Nazare (the huge waves had finally begun so it was a madhouse) and was easy to locate each stop. Obidos was a bit too touristy for our taste so we just ate at the Castle - lovely lunch highly recommend - then headed to Lisbon. He was very helpful, polite, friendly, fun and a proficient driver. Patricia with Wonder Tours was amazing helping us to arrange. Always very responsive and helpful!

Our driver Rui was prompt, courteous and very comfortable to be around. He advised us well on how to spend our free time in our stop in Óbidos. With the convenience of the door to door drop off and pick up and the lovely stop to break up the drive the is transfer is an excellent choice.

We have consistently had wonderful experiences with the guides and tours in Portugal, and this tour was no exception. Our journey from Porto to a conference in Lisbon allowed us to savor local attractions. Given it was a Sunday and many establishments were closed, we chose to spend more time exploring the charming Nazaré and Óbidos regions.

Mario was our driver. He was prompt and very responsive. He picked us from the hotel and we stopped at 3 points - Aveiro, Coimbra and Óbidos. Out of the 3, Obidos is the best spot and Coimbra is the worst. There is nothing in Coimbra. You can save some money by making it 2 stops or add another stop instead of this one. Mario helped us with the bags to the destination hotel. We talked a lot on the way. Ask for him as your driver if that’s an option.
