Our guide Afonso was the best tour guide we have ever had. He made this tour so amazing. From the hotel pick up in a comfortable van, to all the beautiful places it was a wonderful tour. Afonso was able to alter the tour to fit our interest and areas that we had not seen while exploring Porto on our own. He provided us so much information on the history of the places we saw, we left with beautiful pictures and a great understanding of Porto history. Afonso was extremely kind and made sure we were comfortable and having fun throughout the 4 hour tour. We also went to a port wine tasting that was fantastic - the staff at the wine cave was amazing and it was paired with delicious chocolates. Highlight of the tour was the beautiful outlook at night where the entire city of Porto sparkled. Fun fact - Afonso’s Dad was the inspiration for a Harry Potter character. Truly it was a fantastic tour and a wonderful way to see Porto and learn about the beautiful city.

Very disappointed! We spent a lot of money for a private tour and what we got was a private driver. I expected a planned out route with a history of the main highlights but was instead asked where we wanted to go. Since I had never been to Porto I didn’t know where to go. We ended up bailing out after only 1 hour and did a tuk tuk 2 hour tour that was much more informative. When I let the company know about our experience they did nothing to rectify it. Definitely wouldn’t use this company again.

Our guide Lawrence is awesone. He is very knowledgeable about the city of Porto and we learned a lot from him. He is very flexible with where to go and he was able to bring us to many hi-light spots in Porto. Very thankful to have Lawrence as our guide. He is for best guide you can have.

The guide was more like a driver - Tiago. He took is the bridge when the visibility was minimum . There was so much about the library that we did not know . He ushered us in and then picked us up. ! Library was wonderful . Use another company

Our driver/guide Lawrence is awesome. He explained every single details of places he brought us to and advise us where to eat lunch and help us navigate our way back to our hotel even after the tour ended. He is very knowledgeable and managed the time very well. He is an awesome guide!

What a wonderful 4 hours we spent with Joao Jesus. The car was roomy & cool & water was provided to all 4 of us. Joao was very attentive & flexible regarding scheduling sites we preferred to visit & yet, offered great suggestions for us. He even assisted us in getting jump the line tickets for the Lello Bookstore & parked right outside. Without all this we would have never gone there & we were glad we did. Joao’s knowledge of Portugal’s history was astounding and he presented it in such an interesting manner. We were able to visit various sites and take beautiful pictures. I highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling in the beautiful city of Porto for the 1st time or even if it is a repeat visit because Joao will customize your tour to meet your needs. Cannot wait for our next visit!!

We had a very nice morning tour of Porto, Afonso was an excellent guide and was very good about customizing our tour based on other planned stops we already had booked while visiting Porto. We not only saw the sights and sounds of many spots in Porto but also learned about some of the history of Portugal and why several of the stops we made were important places based on this history. We would definitely recommend this tour or the full day tour to anyone visiting Porto.

Tiago drove our family of six all over town, and he very quickly adapted when our cruise changed the pickup point with late notice. We were amazed by how he could navigate such narrow streets. From teens to seniors, everyone had the opportunity to see something they liked.

I am so glad I took this private city tour of Porto. Our guide was prompt with pick up time at our hotel. We were greeted warmly by our guide his name was Joao he explained what we would be covering, he also asked us if we would like to see anything in particular - we were granted this. Our vehicle was clean and a complimentary bottle of water was a nice touch. Joao gave us an informative history facts and excellent story telling. He pointed out all the relevant landmarks. He provided fun facts and explain about the culture and provided information about the architectural buildings and tiles. As the tour went on we built up a really lovely friendship with Joao. He gave us a few jokes and he was highly attentive to my elderly parents. If you are going to do any city tour with stops this is a must. There is enough time for everything you want to see. Thank you Joao.
