It is a very upscale experience. Elegant setting for about 25 people to essentially have a private Fado session, for 1 hour. Start with a nice welcome glass of wine and then sit and enjoy the singer and two guitar players. Very talented. VictorB

Itinerary
Soul of Fado in a monumental and exclusive setting After two years of success at St. Benedict’s Railway Station, we took our Fado show to an even more extraordinary place: the Noble Hall of the Order of the Trinity. We invite you to discover this architectural pearl, a jewel still unknown to the public, located near the Allies. This spectacle is a deep immersion in Portuguese culture, held in a classical and majestic environment, with live performances that respect the purest tradition. What to expect: Traditional Fado and Stories: Let yourself be moved by fadhists and professional musicians. We share the history of Fado and its instruments in multiple languages, creating a close and authentic connection with the public. Porto Wine to Choose: To follow the music, you can choose and taste one of our 4 Porto Wines (Dry White, White, Rosé or Ruby). We are the only Fado show that offers you this freedom. Intimate Environment and Perfect Acoustics: With limited seats, we guarantee a respectful and exciting experience. The acoustics of the Salão Nobre amplify each note, allowing a proximity with the artists, impossible in the big shows.

What an amazing evening! ...Anna was wonderful--as both a singer and host for the evening. ..The spirit of the music truly moved through her heart and soul. Magical and most memorable experience.
This was a great experience. I enjoyed listening to the music as well as the story behind Fado and the instruments used while performing it. Everyone was professional and showcased each other's talent.
We really enjoyed this performance. It started with a glass of wine, juice or water. It was a relatively small audience of about 50 people. It was amazing to see the skill of the players and the lady singing had an amazing voice. This was a last-minute purchase for us and it will be something fondly look back on.
The show was very enjoyable & they explained about the music & instruments. We're served delicious port wine.
Very nice experience and a pleasure to watch 3 talented people perform what they are truly passionate about.
This was our first experience with Fado music and we enjoyed it very much. It’s a unique locally inspired style of music. The instruments used are somewhat unique to this music. The vocals are similar to an intimate opera. Combining the two for a lovely musical experience.
Very good session; explained Fado music. The musicians were excellent! Held in a room in the Sao Bento train station, in an intimate setting. Very nice!
What a fantastic surprise- and an hour well spent with incredible musicians - the Fado singer was amazing, and the venue so intimate you really felt transported back in time to a real Fado experience- Be prepared to loose yourself in the experience - it’s magical.
This show was absolutely beautiful. The woman singer was unbelievable. Man singer and guitars just perfect. Port wine tasty. Very welcoming and extremely talented. Went on Friday night 6:00. Website says to come by 5:00 but that is an error. Just show up before the show time. Every seat perfect. Go into train station, face the side where trains are arriving/departing and go to left of that. There is a door that says Fado. Near bathroom.
First time hearing/seeing Fado. Loved every minute. Beautiful voices and music. Very gracious hostess, always making sure we were comfortable. We learned a lot and would highly recommend.
Great show! Singer and guitar players were very, very good. The setting was intimate, small audience so everyone was up close. Highly recommend as a way to learn about and enjoy Fado!
Beautiful performance by Margarida and two guitarists coupled with a glass of Port wine. Nice evening to close the Porto tour. Worth a second visit.
The most beautiful souvenir you can give yourself and take home with you. An intimate and authentic experience that touched my soul and will live forever in my memories. Light years away from all those touristy evenings that have little to do with authenticity, Margherita and her faithful guitarists gave me 45 minutes of pure joy and admiration for these incredibly talented artists. It's not just fado, but an experience at the heart of Portuguese tradition that reconnects you with the humanity and cultural heritage of one of Europe's most incredible civilizations. I'll be forever grateful. Grazie mille!!
The singing and guitar playing is amazing and you will learn about this kind of music throughout the experience. You also get to try one of three Porto wines. It is very personal as the singer explained things in everyone’s language to teach us about the music. It is a neat setting as well since it is in the train station.
Brilliant. This is a wonderful performance of Fado with highly talented musicians and Paula the singer who sang moving and beautiful Fado songs. The history of Fado and the instruments was also very good. For an hour you were transported into the world of Portuguese music and culture. The location at São Bento provides a unique theatrical experience. Highly recommended.
A traditional Portuguese activity performed perfectly by highly talented practitioners. They are lovely kind people and gentle souls as well. The venue works perfectly being the transitory setting of a historic railway station. And the port they offer guests to drink is really nice and good quality as well. I recommend to anyone visiting Porto and I'd like to go see them again one day
A traditional experience in a beautiful Railway station. A small room means up close and personal. Which adds to the experience. 1 hr & a glass of port. Well worth the visit. They give an explanation & in several languages.
Located inside the entrance of the amazing sao Bento station. Music was not what I expected but enjoyed it very much, rhe singer was amazing and very graphic facially
A must do whilst in Porto. Perfect location at Sao Bento station in a small room with an intimate performance and a glass of port.
This was a lovely show. The players were fabulous, and the singer was really good. Intimate atmosphere. Bonus when the guitarist also turned out to sing fado.
It was amazing. The trio was so talented. I would highly recommend this for anyone interested in fado music.
Authentic Fado experience with a bit of storytelling of the history. The atmosphere was intimate and the talent exceptional. The length of the concert was a little over an hour which was perfect. I highly recommend it.
The performance waa in a convenient location and cozy setting. The Porto wine served was bad though.
This was a highlight of my time in Porto! Ana—the incredible fado singer and host—was warm, welcoming, educational. And her singing and the music was moving!
What an amazing experience, listening to FADO was from the heart . We were mesmerised with the singing and guitars too. An informative story about FADO , great 🍷 wine too❤️👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Extremely talented and professional performers. It was a most enjoyable and pleasant evening in a room in the beautiful Bento railway station.
Such great underrated talent in the room so appreciative of the art and skill of Fado. Had to return again to witness such a spectacle. So friendly as well!!!!! I will definitely come again if I were in Porto again <3
Really enjoyed the show. It was a beautiful experience and also educational. I would recommend it to other people visiting Porto.
Absolutely amazing! Nothing is more powerful than music that is coupled with a voice of love and passion. Will be definitely coming back to this one!
We thoroughly enjoyed the show and highly recommend it if you are visiting Porto. As a bonus, they served a glass of port to enjoy with the show.
It was a wonderful intimate performance by all. It was my first Fado performance and didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend this location!
Wonderful hour of traditional fado. Beautiful voices and explanations of the music/instrumenta i four languages. Very well done. Comfortable small venue.
AMAZING!!! What a beautiful experience! The musicians are fantastic and the soloist brought tears to my eyes! She said to close your eyes and just let you heart hear the music! It was truly joyful!!
I was blown away by the warmth and hospitality of the greeter, Ana, who turned out to be the Fadista. I was especially impressed by how well she was able to communicate in various languages and her perfect pitch as a fado singer, this is someone who has mastered this art and is proud of her culture. The guitar players are outstanding and this is in one of the most iconic buildings in Porto, not to mention some of the best acoustics I’ve experienced for a live performance of Fado. Parabéns! Inesquecível.
The entire concert was an unforgettable experience, filled with pure magic. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and welcoming. I couldn’t stop smiling as we watched the musicians craft beautiful music right in front of us. The explanations of the instruments added so much depth to our appreciation of the performance. I can’t recommend this experience enough, it’s one of the most memorable moments I’ve had in Portugal. Thank you!
The hour we spent listening to Ana Margarida and her two terrific guitarist colleagues was glorious. Ana Margarida is beautiful, she moves like a dancer, and — most important— she has a VERY special voice. Listening to her, it seemed that she was born to perform the fado repertoire. She can effortlessly talk about fado in three languages, and in both song and conversation she exudes a quality that I can only call RADIANCE. It was wonderful that she was so totally able to rivet her listeners for one solid hour (it was fun when she asked us twice to sing along). The audience on this occasion was small, but she gave us 200 percent of herself. An unforgettable experience, not to be missed by any visitor to Porto!
We very much enjoyed this performance of Fado by excellent musicians and vocalist’s. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel relaxed as well as ‘present’ and open to the experience which was informative, powerful, moving and fun.
I definitely recommend this concert. The singing and playing was high quality combined with information about Fado. They are exceptional at what they do. Super easy to find. Can't recommend it more for a relaxed evening in Porto.
What an amazing experience. The musicians are wonderful. The singer is so talented, speaks at least 4 languages, is a great narrator and a beautiful fado singer. And you get Port wine to come with it. Perfect! If you do one thing in Porto, do this.
Wonderful fado that will touch your heart! You will witness an amazingly warm and lovely singer with two musicians open their souls through the song and music! Definitely recommend!
I've flown a long long way from Hong Kong just for three things in Portugal: pastel de nata, fado and port wine. But fado was the most memorable thing that happened during my trip in Porto - Beautiful and excellent performance by Ana Margarida (the fado singer), António Reis (the guitar player and also a fado singer) and Hugo Reis (the portuguese guitar player, who played a Coimbra-style guitar with a teardrop-shaped guitar head). Located in São Bento Station, the place was very convenient and extremely easy to find. A complimentary glass of port wine was also served during the performance but I chose to drink after the show. I didn't understand any portuguese in the lyrics (although I spent some time learning the language), but the different types of feelings expressed through the music were so strong, just like vibrant colours from a painting, left us a sharp memory and moved every one in the room. My favourite song was "Por Um Dia" by Ana and António (I googled the song title by memorizing the lyrics "Minha fria companhia" which stayed in my mind for so long after the show). Without knowing the lyrics, I couldn't understand the sadness in the song but I could feel that it was very romantic and sentimental. The melody was more similar to the modern Cantopop which I usually listen to. The sound quality in the room was also good. You couldn't feel the same if you just listen to a video. I love the performance! Bravo!
A true delight experiencing this authentic fado performance. Two guitarists (one playing a 12 string guitarra the other a 6 stringed guitar known as a viola) accompany a charismatic female vocalist. All are excellent musicians who convey the drama and emotion of fado. Brief commentary after some of the songs was interesting and informative. The performance is in a charming room with great acoustics in the historic São Bento train station, famed for its intricate azulejo-tiled walls. A highlight of our Portugal trip.
A beautiful fado performance in a nice, spacious room and excellent acoustics. We were delighted to have found this place in the Sao Bento train station. Thank you to Ana Margarida and the other performers for the excellent guitar playing and beautiful, exquisite voices that truly touched our hearts. It was magical!
The singer is very elegant and has a good voice. She explained the varieties of fado very well, and the venue was excellent, as were the accompanying musicians.
The historic hall provided a stylish backdrop for the two wonderful guitarists and an expressive singer. We had imagined Fado to be somehow "sadder," meaning more somber and in more minor tones. But we enjoyed it, and we would recommend the performance.
There are no words. It gets into your heart and gives you goose bumps for life. Fantastic place, wonderful stay, with an elegant, cozy atmosphere and with the voice of Ana Margarida, and the music of two wonderful masters, magic. I was prejudiced by "tourist shows." Proven that prejudice is foolish, as I would have regretted if I hadn't attended. From the reception, to the performance, the complete explanations about fado and its instruments and peculiarities, to the end, were superb. Elegant, exciting and, I'm sorry to repeat myself, wonderful. Must-see activity. Bravo!!!!!
In the title there's already a bit of everything. Anna in addition to singing in a wonderful way ruled the scene giving explanations about the musical instruments used and the type of Fado she practiced involving the audience in the finale in a song. Very good also the two musicians on guitars one of them with a beautiful voice. If Fado = Destiny, I will come back to hear them again if fate brings me back to Porto. Despite being the only Italian in the room Anna translated what she explained both in Italian in addition to English, French, Portuguese. This review was not influenced by the two glasses of wine tasted :-)
Great fado experience explained to novices in a small intimate room with a glass of port. The singer explains in all languages, an exceptional voice and quality musicians. 50 minutes for a suspended moment. Attention works around the station currently. Take another 5 minutes to enter from the side.
I really enjoyed the experience. Exceptional musicians and singers alike. Very intimate and welcoming atmosphere.
