Beautiful boat and trip. We had a yacht to ourselves (10 of us) which was a bargain. So relaxing, lovely wines and option to purchase more at a very reasonable rate.

Itinerary
The Arrábida Bridge is a bridge over the river Douro that connects Porto with Villa Nova de Gaia. Since the 1930s it was necessary to create alternative connections to the old bridges (Pontes D. Maria Pia and Pontes Louis I) to respond to the growing flow of traffic. At the time of its construction, in 1963, the bridge had the largest armed concrete bow of all the bridges in the world. The Arrábida Bridge was the second bridge between Porto and V. N. Gaia to be built for road traffic, being one of the six bridges in the city of Porto. They are, by order of construction - Louis I Bridge, the Arrábida Bridge itself, the São João Bridge, the Freixo Bridge and the Infante Bridge. On June 22, 1963, Nuno Pinheiro Torres finally inaugurated the Arrábida Bridge, with four elevators so that the pedestrians could cross the distance of seventy meters from the river to the board, making pedestrian crossing much easier.
Congress Center
Ribeira is one of the oldest, most popular and typical sites in the city. It is part of the Historic Center of Porto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of medieval origin. It has always been a zone of much trade and movement of people, due to the proximity of the river. In this area of the city lived one of the most prominent and charismatic personalities of the city, the Duke of Ribeira, who became known for having saved several people from drowning. For this achievement, after his death he was given a tribute. The square next to the Pillar of the Louis I Bridge bears its name and has a memorial
The Louis I bridge is the main connection between Porto and the neighboring town of Villa Nova de Gaia. Made of metal, the bridge measures approximately 395 meters long and 8 meters wide and is divided into two boards connecting the upper and lower parts of the city. The man responsible for its construction is Théophile Seyrig, who built it on the order of King Louis I, from whom it was named. Seyrig had already worked with Gustave Eiffel on the D. Maria Pia bridge and followed the architectural style of his master. Completed in 1888, the Louis I bridge is still today one of the most iconic points of the city.
With 66.35 hectares, the Douro Estuary Local Natural Reservation is on the south bank of the river foz, near the Afurada fishing villa and includes Cabedelo and São Paio Bay. Among the natural values it protects, the highlight goes to the birds that live here or pass through here and that can be easily observed, because it is located in the migratory corridor known as “Route of the East Atlantic”. The visit can be made freely through the suspended pavement.
Rabelo boats are typical of the Douro River. For decades they transported the famous Port Wine between the remote wine region and the cellars of Villa Nova de Gaia. Since there were no roads or railways, the producing farms had only the river as a means of transporting the barrels. At that time no dams had been built, so the river Douro was very treacherous, with rapid currents that became more dangerous in the narrow streams. The task of sailing therefore required experienced sailors who could carry the precious nectar to a safe harbor. With the completion of the railway line, it is thought that the last voyage of these vessels for transportation of Port Wine took place in 1964
Founded in 1992, with the aim of preserving and exposing a vast array of electric cars and other vehicles, of great historical and heritage value, the Electric Car Museum provides the visitor with the possibility to get to know the history and development of public transport on rails. in the city of Porto. It is installed in a building where the Massarelos Thermoelectric Central operated, built in 1915 to produce electricity for the electric vehicles that circulated in the city. Getting in the tram is like dive into the past. Its interior remains true to the design of the early 20th century, where wood and iron reign supreme. The seat backs have a peculiar feature: they move, allowing the passenger to choose which side to turn to during the journey. When visiting Porto do not fail to embark on Line 1 and be surprised by the wonderful landscapes of this unforgettable route.

Fun sunset. Beautiful experience. Fun crew. Excellent wine and snacks. Would recommend to others traveling to Porto
Excellent! Upgraded to a larger boat, cres were great, Excellent weather for last day of October, just minor confusion on boarding location.
Congratulations, you are done searching for an amazing Porto cruise,. If you want an actual wine tasting, a sunset and a cruise on a sail boat LOOK NO FURTHER. We had Isabella host us on a beautiful sailboat for 2+ hours with comfy seats and blankets. We had views and photo ops. We had vinho verde, white wine and a tawny port (generous portions in actual wine glasses … I mean plastic but it’s a boat so I get it) with yummy snacks and chocolate. Don’t stress, I searched for at least an hour on reviews and I am telling you BOOK THIS TRIP. You can buy more wine for a very reasonable price if you want more to enjoy during the beautiful sunset near the outer sea wall. Seriously… this is it, book it.
Very nice experience I loved the boat and the tour lady was very nice I enjoyed the trip. The wine tasting was incredible.
This was so much fun! Isabelle immediately welcomed us and make us comfortable, helping us take pictures and serving us the wine and snacks. What a great hostess! We saw beautiful scenery and it was great that it was a small group of 12 instead of those huge boats where everyone is seated on a bench. I recommend this 100%. Dress warmly, especially for the sunset sail. They had blankets but it was still chilly in mid October. It was also easy grabbing a bolt/uber from the marina.
A must do! Lovely boat and incredible hospitality from Claudia. All the wines were delicious - the vinho verde in particular!
Excellent services from our host (Isabel) and sail boat Captain. Didn’t give it a 5 stars cause the wine tasting seems to be off.
Motoring down and back on the river. Sails never went up. If you’re looking for a true sailing experience, this isn’t it.
Tour was scenic and a nice speed through the river, allowing us time to take it all in. Whenever we asked the guide a question she was happy to give us information. Received a nice selection of wines to try, along with an assortment of cheeses and chocolate. Only problem was the GPS took us to past the marina
A wonderful experience, it was so relaxing on the calm waters. Lovely to see and photograph the city of Porto from the water. It was fun sharing the wine and cruise with my friends.
We had an absolutely wonderful time on our sunset sail! The wine and snacks were tasty and Miguel was great!
Absolutely perfect!! The best way to see Porto is from the water, on a comfortable sail boat, with a glass of wine and fabulous relaxing music. Excellent service by the captain and his staff. They slowly toured around the most scenic part of Porto (doing several large circles) to maximize the experience of enjoying Porto from water. This was an absolute highlight! Note: the meeting point is beside the big letter "D" beside the dock, close to the main entrance to "Marina da Afurada".
The cruise was a nice relaxing time. Claudia was very kind and even gave us blankets when it got cold.
Book the wine tasting cruise-fab way to see the city, taste wine and enjoy beautiful Porto! Isabelle, our host was exceptional!
The captain and hostess were lovely and engaging. She took the time to share some ideas for the Camino . The boat was immaculate
This is a lovely way to see Porto & Gaia, with a few hours on the boat with some lovely Port, stunning.
We had a fabulous experience, Julian was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Lovely wine and snacks with guidance on each wine. It was so relaxing wish we had been on the boat longer. Highly recommend.
Very relaxing and well done. The young lady who hosted the trip was fabulous. She was so friendly and so nice. It was a great experience.
Our host, Isabel, was fantastic! So much energy at 10am and really created a great environment. The wine is tasty and the views were perfect! Would highly recommend!
Fantastic yacht cruise on the Douro. Friendly staff and delicious wines. Not too many people so felt luxurious.
A beautiful way to spend an evening in Porto. The staff were so friendly and made the experience even better. My friend even got a turn at the helm. Highly recommend
Fantastic boat tour - staff were amazing, boats were stylish and comfortable and the wine was lovely.
A great way to see Porto. Sara was the perfect host and provided great information about Porto and Gaia. She happily answered our questions. Sami was a great captain and it was great to leave the harbour onto the open sea for a while. The boat was very comfortable and the wine and snacks were a perfect accompaniment. If you are feeling energetic it is a lovely 5k walk from the marina to the city centre.
Absolutely amazing, lovely wine and a great guide who was very friendly. Amazing Captain who gave me his hat. DEFINITELY recommend!
It was a very relaxing & comfortable trip with great samplings of port and a lovely charcuterie bowl. The staff was very kind & pointed out key landmarks as cruised by some beautiful & iconic parts of Porto.
Perfect amount of time and an excellent crew. No hype. Just a relaxing time with wine and snacks. We had a great time.
Excellent value for money cruise. 3 wines were all lovely. Good communication and friendly engaging staff.
It was a fun cruise with wine tasting included! The crew was friendly and courteous and shared fun facts about the local area.
The cruiser was amazing and beautiful and Isabel was an amazing host. The wine was fantastic and I liked that you can buy the bottles . Excellent service 👏. I will be purchasing another river cruise.
Absolutely amazing experience!! The tour felt almost private and Sarah was so friendly and attentive! We had a great time and even got to drive the boat for a minute. Sarah offered to get pictures of us and we appreciated her explaining each wine as well as a bit of history about Porto and Gaia. Thank you so much to Sarah and the Captain, would definitely come back again the next time I’m in Porto!
The guides were very gracious and very helpful! The sites of Porto are amazing and beautiful from the water!
Very comfortable and beautiful experience. The wines given on board were very aromatic and smooth, we liked them so much that we ended up ordering an extra bottle of white wine. Claudia was very friendly and welcoming, she made sure we had the best experience. Highly recommended!
This was the perfect activity to end our trip to Porto. You get to see the city of Porto and Gaia (the opposite side of the river) from a different perspective from the water. Isabella was an amazing guide. You get to try 3 different Portuguese wines with the option to buy a bottle while on the boat. Highly recommend!
So relaxing On the water, enjoying friends, snacks and wine tasting. The sunset was beautiful!
Very organized at the beginning. The boat was lovely and the timing was perfect. The wine tasting was a great unexpected plus. It wasn’t too crowded either.
This was simply a ride on the river with wine. It was nice. I’m glad we went. I do wish they would talk more about the area but that’s probably difficult with the variety of language needed.
Great couple of hours to see Porto. We got an uber from our apartment to the marina (12 euro return). Isabelle and the captain made you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. We had 3 large glasses of wine with snacks which led to us purchasing another bottle additional bottle at only 10 euro. Isabelle was knowledgeable, her English was excellent and gave some great recommendations of where to go when we left the boat
Amazing experience and the crew were just so lovely and friendly. Wine and snacks were superb 👌 was a beautiful day sailing on the Douro river! Would definitely recommend
Our hosts were great. They spent significant time with my family onboard, sharing history and culture from the perspective of seasoned sailors and locals from Porto. Although weather didn’t cooperate to raise sails (us sailors know Mother Nature doesn’t always give you perfect days), we made the most of our time on the water. Thank you for introducing us to your city from your sailboat.
Very friendly host and a perfect boat. Snacks and wine ware superb. Calm ride along the Douro from bridge to ocean
Sara was an amazing tour guide, with a wealth of knowledge! Made the trip for us! Very happy with the experience!
Isabel was amazing! She took great care of us and made sure we had a great time. Definitely recommend!
Fantastic scenic cruise on the Douro river on a beautifully maintained sailboat. Claudia and Sammy took great care of us, sharing details about the city, landmarks, and they provided a tasty mix or local wines for us to sample. We highly recommend this tour!
What a fantastic experience! Our only mistake was relying on public transport to get to the harbor. We ended up ordering a car through bolt as our bus never came. He got us there with plenty of time. The wine was excellent, as was the port. We had a beautiful evening, especially after the very warm day. We even saw dolphins!!!
Had a fantastic trip on this boat , turned up at marina to discover we were the only people on trip . Met by Claudia and Sami , they were amazing hosts . Supplied us with different wines and nibbles to try , Claudia came and sat with us to tell us all about Porto , gave us some great tips on things to do in area . Would really recommend this trip
Fantastic trip and excellent service. The boat was immaculate and very impressive and the wine tasting with nibbles perfect. An additional glass was also very reasonable. The staff made the trip!
Sunset sailing cruise Very relaxing Wine tasting on board Comfortable boat Friendly guide Blankets onboard
Our driver FRANCISCO was absolutely fantastic on our Wine Tour Douro Valley trip. Excellent ENGLISH, he described how the day was planned, quickly and clearly, and with a great sense of humour. Excellent driver, he got us there and back according to schedule and allowed us more than enough time for the final viewpoint photo in the Douro. One of our group had a bit of travel sickness and he showed great and helpful assistance. SIMPLY THE BEST! Obrigado Francisco
This was a great way to go down the river and see the city from a different perspective. Really nice to be in a small group and of course the added fun of doing a wine tasting while drifting down the river made it really special. Crew were really friendly and we were very well looked after. Can thoroughly recommend.
