We very much enjoyed our day! It was very organized and fun. Our guide was funny and took good care. The only thing was the van was very tight. But would highly recommend this group

Tours on Viator are generally good, but this was superb. Pre-tour org was 10/10 - clear instructions on where to meet etc. Mini-coach also 10/10 - driver very calm and also funny. Everything as advertised. Lunch was really good (we are vegetarians) with plenty of wine. Special shout out to our guide and host Pedro (another 10/10) who was informative, fun and came out the next day to handover a coat we had left on the bus. Really highly recommended. Not the cheapest, but I think the best :)

Had a great time. Miguel our guide was fabulous. Funny, knowledgeable, kind. Enjoyed the wine tasting g and boat ride and train. And mostly the beauty of the area. Highly recommend! From someone who doesn’t particularly like group tours.

Van ride to winery for port tasting. Local winery guide left much to be desired. Short train ride (1 stop) to get on a boat. Boat ride down river; sparkling wine was plentiful, snack were not. Lunch was not impressive. Van ride back.

Fabulous tour! Pedro was so fun! He gave us interesting stories and commentary with his funny and outgoing personality. He did a great job keeping track of our group while still letting everyone wander a bit. The wine tasting was wonderful and the lunch, delicious! Mina was a fabulous driver , very smooth which is important on the windy valley roads. I highly recommend this tour for all aspects - wine, food, views, calm boat ride and the lull of the train ride after wine and food. Thank you!!

Great fun! A perfect day. The boat ride and train were a nice touch. Authentic Portuguese lunch, tasty, plentiful and very enjoyable. Tour guide Miguel kind, informative and personable.

Very much enjoyed our tour with our guide Jose. Learned quite a bit about the Douro Valley during the drive. Highlights were the tasting at a family owned winery and the boat ride after lunch, where it was pretty much all you can drink sparkling wine. Only downside was that the train in Douro was full, but even that experience was still enjoyable with great views. Would recommend.

Great way to experience several different aspects of the wine country all without the stress of planning. The tour was seamless in traveling to the Douro valley, exploring vineyards, enjoying the views from the river and a family serve style lunch. Then rounding out with a train ride and comfortable trek back. Our tour guide started off a little rocky from a late night before but he jumped in and was a great sport and we had a great time. The van was comfortable, the lunch was excellent and served family style with many options of local food staples. The wine was always flowing and you could tell all the staff at each place had such a love for sharing their country and culture with others. It was truly a delight. There’s no way we could have seen so much in that short of time, and times everything so perfectly to fit together. So glad we booked this experience or we would have missed out on such an amazing part of Porto

I'f you're looking for an all day activity to take in all of the possible activities the Douro Valley, this was perfect. Pedre was perfext with the history and humor.

Miguel our tour guide and driver Rui were an excellent team. We enjoyed a fantastic day on a wine tour, boat ride in the Douro, traditional Portuguese lunch and train ride. The winery selected was lead by knowledgeable wine expert. The van ride was comfortable and air condition. Great value as we rode 1 1/2 hour to the Douro Valley.

We had such a wonderful experience on our Douro Valley tour with Miguel and Rui! Both were great, and we learned so much about wine while enjoying the breathtaking views of the valley. We thoroughly enjoyed our day trip to the Douro Valley. The scenic train ride and boat cruise were wonderful ways to admire the breathtaking views of the steep vineyard terraces lining the riverbanks. The lunch was pleasant, although dining at a vineyard would have been even better.

Wonderful tour with Miguel. We really enjoyed our day. We started with the bus tour of Douro Valley, wine tasting sampling three port wines. We also enjoyed the boat ride down the river. The scenery of the terraced mountains was beautiful. The train ride was quick, but a nice relaxing break. Our tour ended with a lunch of fish, rice, pork and potatoes and a delicious cinnamon cake dessert. I would recommend this tour. I don’t think it is an appropriate tour for children, but we had six on our tour bus under the age of 12.

A great day exploring the Douro Valley by bus, train and boat. Made even more fun by our guide Vitor. It was well planned — the vineyard and winery were very interesting and port for breakfast was good! The lunch was tasty and the wine kept flowing. And views from the train and the boat were magnificent. Our small group was great fun as well. Really fun day.

Get there early to get a good seat on the bus we went at the time advised and were the last to arrive, consequently we were in the worst seats. It is quite a long journey and we felt rather unwell by the time we arrived as the bus was rather hot and cramped.

What an amazing experience. Pedro, our guide was both funny and knowledgeable. He definitely made the experience what it was. Boat ride was beautiful and so enjoyed the winery.

What an incredible way to experience Porto and the beautiful Douro Valley! This tour had the perfect combination of wine, sightseeing, great food, and unforgettable scenery. We started with a wonderful visit to a local winery, where we had the opportunity to learn about and, of course, enjoy some of the region’s excellent wines. From there, we took a short and scenic train ride before boarding a boat for a relaxing cruise along the magnificent Douro River. The views of the vineyards, hillsides, and surrounding countryside were absolutely breathtaking. We finished the experience with an outstanding traditional regional lunch accompanied by more delicious wine. The food was authentic, plentiful, and the perfect ending to an amazing day. If you enjoy great wine, beautiful scenery, local cuisine, and experiencing the culture of the region, this tour is a must. One of the highlights of our time in Portugal and an experience we will always remember! 🇵🇹🍷❤️

We took a lovely trip up the Douro approaching sunset, starting at the pier next to Douro Royal Hotel. We were four couples with our guide Joao, Captain Ana and 'First Mate' Marco. What a lovely happy team! They served sparkling wine, explained the things we saw around us and created a very happy atmosphere. We especially pappreciated that they extended the trip so that we could enjoy the sunset over the river.

Excellent day from start to finish. Meeting point was easy to find and our guide Miguel found us immediately. We spent 8 hours on this trip and our guide Miguel kept us well informed and well entertained! Our driver Luis kept us safe and got us to where we needed to go! 100% recommend this excursion!

It was advertised as 6 hrs but was actually 8. Dont make other reservations planning to be back earlier. But the tour was great.

Best tour of our trip so far. Beautiful car, train, and boat ride. The scenery was magical. The restaurant we went to was comforting portuguese food - even accommodating to allergies/restrictions. Lots of wine! Our tour guide, Miguel, was engaging the entire tour, quick witted and warm. Plenty of opportunities to use the bathroom along the way - at the departure location, at the winery, on the boat, and at the restaurant. Only piece of advice is to eat prior to beginning the tour as lunch is later in the day, around 2 pm. If you’re on the fence, do it!

We did a couple tours while we were in Portugal and this was the best one. The wine tour and tastings were AMAZING and the boat ride was gorgeous. We had lunch at a small local spot and it was my favorite food of the trip😍 and of course…our tour guide, Miguel, was absolutely phenomenal! Definitely the highlight of our vacation.

Miguel and Luis were on point. This was a very memorable experience. This tour is must do. Hopefully you will be lucky enough to get Miguel and Luis to visit one of the most impressive places I have ever seen.

Such a beautiful tour, with lots of wine and delicious food. We were lucky enough to have Miguel as a tour guide partnered with Luis the driver - they were so much fun and kind! Highly recommend trying to book with them if you have the chance.

A great way to experience the Douro Valley… a bit of everything… mini bus, train, boat ride with champagne, lunch and wine tasting. Jorge was highly enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and clearly enjoyed what he was doing.

We had a wonderful day with Pedro (our guide). Schedule was well organized. Did not feel rushed. Enjoyable sights of Douro Valley from our river cruise. Small group size was ideal for all portions of tour. Pedro ensured we were well taken care of. Lots of food and drink to enjoy.

Our guide Antonio Cardoso was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day really enjoyable. The small group made the experience feel relaxed and personal, rather than like a typical large tour. The boat trip, scenic train journey, and beautiful Douro Valley were all highlights, and the family-run winery was a wonderful way to finish the day. If you'd like an authentic and excellent experience in visiting the Duoro Valley region - then this tour is for you. Jose and Miguel were awesome hosts, and shared much knowledge and a good dose of humour, along the way. The combination of bus, train a boat travel during then tour was an excellent way to do it too. The winery, Crofts, was nearly 600 years old and their Ports were yummy, and the local restaurant in the village was a wonderful and traditional joy. Being on the Douro for 45mins or so, champagne glass in hand, is pretty special too. it's a 10/10 this tour,

Antonio was an excellent guide and we really enjoyed our day with him leading our tour group. He was always checking to make sure we were OK and is also an excellent driver. We had an amazing tour of Porto with Santiago as our tour guide!!! Santiago was informative, funny, personable and very knowledgeable about the history of Porto. We only had 2 days in Porto and Very happy with our choice of tours. Great tour to understand the layout of Porto!! I would highly recommend this tour, you see a lot of the city and the Gondola ride over Gia and boat ride was a great ending to an amazing tour!!!!
