Thank you Qui for a great Porto tour. You gave us a perfect blend of highlights, insights, history and humour. It proved to be an excellent springboard to find our bearings and decide what further tourist sights and delights to sample in the city. Would definitely recommend this tour for anyone arriving in Porto for the first time.
The tour was very good and our guide, Andre, was knowledgeable and informative. We didn't realise that there were two tours and we would have liked to see more of the lower part of the city, but that's my fault. For the time taken on the tour, I did think we could have seen a little bit more if there was a little less talk. It was interesting, but got a bit repetitive and told us a lot of history rather than actually showing us the city. It was a good tour though.
Ian gave us a fantastic walking tour of Porto! He struck just the right balance of enthusiasm and calm, taking our group on a wonderful historical introduction to this beautiful city. His passion for Porto and Portuguese culture was evident throughout, and he managed to cover so much while keeping things interesting, engaging, and fun. He also shared some great recommendations for exploring more on our own. This was our very first stop in Porto, and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction! We left feeling like we'd learned a lot, had a great feel for the city, and were excited to discover even more. Highly recommend Ian!
Our guide was nice but talked (way) too much! I thought we were going to hear more about buildings and the history of the area not a non-stop talk. We stood outside the iconic McDonalds while he blabbered on -but the guide didn’t allow time for us to see it. Just too much.
Terrific insight into the history and layout of Porto and visits to many landmarks in Porto. Guide, Harold, was excellent and offered many bits of information on what to do. Tour lasted 2.40 hours
Natalia was an incredible guide! Very knowledgeable and is an excellent teacher! Very helpful! I absolutely recommend having Natalia for a guide!
Excellent way to introduce you to the layout and history of Porto. Guide was excellent with good knowledge of the history and making recommendations.
Sophia was great, really knew her stuff, learnt lots about Porto, lovely lady!
Sofia is an excellent guide ! Thank you!!’ so many interesting things learned from you here!!!
Great tour. Pedro was a great guide
A really, well run & informative tour. Harald was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, friendly & humourous. He wasn't hurried & was more than happy to answer questions. He was also very good with recommendations for the local area. We've got no hesitation in recommending him to other visitors to Porto.
Diogo was a great guide with lots of knowledge and an excellent speaker system which he activated at each stop appropriately. He faced the group and made it easy to hear/understand him. Spoke great English and lots of fun facts. Handled the surprise blockage of one river viewing spot with good nature and appropriately. Only downside was a personal view on my part, that there was a little too much Porto history, especially at the start. 15 minute talk, standing still. Others may love that, just not my favorite thing.
Our guide Natalie was fabulous. She brought history to life. She is a talented storyteller, can answer almost all questions, and researches answers she doesn’t know while walking to the next site. I can’t imagine a better guide.
It was brilliant to do this walking tour with Sophia. Be aware that the price you pay trip adviser isn’t the cost overall as the guide does expect a tip of more than €5 euro a person but it was totally worth it and it cost us around €20 in total. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone.
Fantastic tour lead by Natalia! The tour visited a wide variety of historic landmarks and Natalia brought the history to life with her many stories. We have been traveling to Europe for over 30 years and this was one of the best tours we’ve taken. Highly recommended tour!
Sofia led us around Porto with enthusiasm, we loved it! She really knew her local history and was obviously passionate about the city. Highly recommend!
This was a good tour, well planned, the right amount of history and local information and length. Andre knows his stuff. Finding him was a chore. Apparently, iPhone maps are unreliable in Porto. Fortunately, we were in plenty of time and able to find him…I find it is easier if a landmark is identified rather than the name of the square (there are three on the corner where this walk started). Also, knowing to look for a yellow umbrella would be helpful.
Diogo doesn’t just show you a city—he makes you fall in love with it! His warmth, humour, and infectious enthusiasm made this walking tour a highlight of our visit. An exceptional guide with a wonderful personal touch. Thank you, Diogo, for making it so special!
Sophia took us on an amazing historic tour - thanks
Victoria was a great guide. She was well versed in the history of Porto. She was energetic and engaged well with the entire group. Good tour
Rita was a great guide. Very passionate about her home city, extremely knowledgeable and friendly.
We had Viktoria as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. There are some hills, but the walking aspect was relatively easy. Break at a coffee shop mid tour. Great overview of the major icons in the city with historical storytelling. Lots of tips on where to eat, what to try and where else to visit nearby.
Very enthusiastic and most informative guide. We really enjoyed the whole experience and saw parts of Porto we wouldn't have considered on our own.
This is a very good walking tour with a knowledgeable guide. We had not realized, however, that the tour is in fact free and the payment was only to secure a spot. Others on the tour had not paid. We were all expected to pay a generous tip at the end of the. I think this should be made clearer.
A lovely walk around the city with Victoria who was very informative and charming
We had a great time today on the tour! André was very knowledgeable, funny, and told the history of Porto and Portugal in a very interesting, engaging and very memorable way. If you want to know more about the city, this is a great way, we would definitely recommend!
Really enjoyable tour with Natalia, a great guide and a very nice group of fellow explorers!!
Very interesting tour around the centre of Porto with good information about what is and is not worth doing
Informative and the guide was easy to understand and humurous. Covered how Porto started under a dictator to how the dictatorship ended
We had Viktoria as our tour guide and she was great. Good pace and really enjoyed the tour.
A great combination of history, walking and viewpoint stops. Very helpful transport, restaurant and visits tips also shared.
A really good tour that was well organised. Harold our guide was very passionate about the subject and very knowledgable too. He wore a headset microphone which meant we could hear most of what he was saying. The only downside was it was long , nearly three hours of standing was hard on the feet and on my ability to concentrate.
With only 2 full days in Porto, we knew we wanted an overview of the local history and what better way than joining a free walking tour. Easy to book and simple to locate the meeting point the day of. Andre was a fantastic tour guide and very knowledgeable. I enjoyed his humor, pacing, and storytelling. Thank you for such an in depth tour of the city of Porto!!
Victoria, was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and friendly she explained the history of Portugal and showed us many interesting facts and buildings. A well worth tour. They do expect you to tip them, but the amount you give is entirely your choice.
Very good guide, enthusiastic snd extremely knowledgeable on Porto’s history
Harold with Revolutours is FABULOUS! HE'S caring, highly knowledgeable and wholeheartedly authentic!!! GO with HAROLD!
An amazing tour all around the old city walls and Aliafos area of Porto. Adriano our guide was amazing, open to any questions, and energetic throughout the entire ~3hrs the tour took. Would recommend to anyone visiting Porto!
Rita was an amazing tour guide, very passionate and enthusiastic about history and I learned a lot about Porto. Very honest about places worth visiting and gave great food recommendations.
A fantastic walking tour full of insight, history and great tips . Sophie was so knowledgeable and really made the trip so enjoyable . 10/10 for us .
Booked this walking tour after reading the reviews. We had Harold as our guide, he was very informative and led the tour at a easy casual pace. It lasted over 2.5 hrs which flew over, Harold gave us lots of good tips and was very approachable for further questions. Overall an excellent guide. Highly recommended.
Fantastic experience! Ciao was so knowledgeable and fun - could’ve spent all day with him !! Great history and he spoke to each person and related tidbits to each of us coming from many countries
A standard walking tour, no better and no worse than most. It hits the main sights with a decent amount of history and context along the way. Nothing went wrong, but nothing really stood out either. If you're new to Porto and want a quick orientation before exploring on your own, it does the job. Good for a taste of the city, just don't expect anything beyond the usual.
Loved our guide! So much great information and entertaining too. The food and drink were great also.
Harold was great, very informative and interesting-the tour gave us a great lay of the land
Fantastic introduction to Porto. Harold was so friendly and knowledgeable, and made the city inviting and walkable!
Nathalia was a great tour guide. The tour was interesting and good fun.
An excellent and animated tour with Andre. Amazing stories about the history of Porto, related while standing in front of the buildings, walls and market squares where it happened. He kept the group together, had a great sense of humour entertained questions at each stop. Very happy he was our guide!
Great Day and the best guide ever ! We loved it and very informative !
