The journey, which lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes, runs between the mouth of the Douro River and the Infante D. Henrique Bridge. Departing from Douro Marina, this route allows you to observe the riverside areas of the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. A tour that will stay in your memory forever.
Ponte da Arrábida is an arch bridge over the Douro River that connects Porto (through the Arrábida area) to Vila Nova de Gaia (through the Candal junction), in Portugal. Since the 1930s, it was necessary to create alternative connections to the old bridges (D. Maria Pia and D. Luís bridges) in order to respond to the growing flow of road traffic. At the time of its construction in 1963, the bridge had the largest reinforced concrete arch of any bridge in the world. A tour that will stay in your memory forever.
The Infante D. Henrique Bridge was inaugurated on March 30, 2003. Ponte Infante Dom Henrique, also known as Ponte do Infante, is a road bridge that connects Vila Nova de Gaia to Porto, over the Douro River, in Portugal. Named in honor of Infante D. Henrique, born in Porto, it is the most recent bridge connecting Porto and Gaia.
The mythical bridge! Transport and communications architecture, 19th century. 19. Iron bridge, for road, rail and pedestrian traffic, made up of two metallic decks, supported by a large iron arch and five pillars. The entire structure is made up of straight and parabolic beams, filled with other vertical beams supported by others that are crossed or perpendicular. The construction of the bridge played with the deep valley in which it is inserted, through two decks, placed at different heights and lengths. A tour that will stay in your memory forever.

Louis I Bridge.

Thank you Paulo and Franscheka for a very enjoyable afternoon trip. They even waited for us since we got stuck in traffic. The port was great.
We loved the trip with our friendly and experienced guide and boat owner. An excellent way to get an overview of Porto and all the bridges. It was a refreshing and intimate trip with the family.
This was a fantastic tour. Guides Alan and Francisco were amazing and super friendly. Highly recommend.
It was amazing!! Beautiful views and so much historical information about Porto. Staff were super friendly. We were celebrating a birthday and brought a cake. The staff provided the plates and forks. Pictures turned out beautiful!!! 10/10 recommend!!
AMAZING experience!! Meeting point was easy to find and communication was entirely seamless. We left and came back right on time. We learned so much about the history of Porto, and had some delicious wine and snacks while doing so! Would book this tour again and again.
Went on a lovely sunset tour with Antonio and Francisco. They were very warm and welcoming and full of knowledge about their city and recommendations for us to do to make our visit more enjoyable. They to took the time to answer our questions, the boat was clean, the drinks flowed and the sunset was beautiful. They stopped the boat so we can see the water turn a beautiful gold and even took a picture with us at the end. Would highly recommend them.
We took a private boat tour and it was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip. The boat was very comfortable and well maintained, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. The tour was done at our own pace, with complete flexibility, which made all the difference. We had time to take in the views and simply enjoy the moment, away from the crowds. The skippers were extremely professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the area, sharing interesting information and suggesting the best spots. We always felt safe and very well taken care of. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a peaceful, personalized, and memorable outing. We would definitely do it again without hesitation!
This is an amazing way to get up close and personal with historic Porto and Villa de Gaia! The price can’t be beat for having a private experience (especially when you pass all the other tourists boats FULL of people). The staff was so sweet and kind and the glass of champagne was the cherry on top! Extremely memorable experience all around!
If you’re in Porto and even thinking about a sunset boat cruise — do it, and make it private. This was hands down one of the highlights of our trip. We set off along the Douro just as the golden hour kicked in, and the views were unreal — the city glowing, the bridges silhouetted against the sunset, and boats drifting past in the most relaxed, dreamy atmosphere. It honestly felt like something out of a film. The crew were absolutely lovely — so welcoming, friendly, and fun without ever being over the top. They made the whole experience feel effortless and special from start to finish. And the little touches made it even better: chilled champagne in hand, great company, and being able to play our own music through the Bluetooth system just took it to another level. It turned into our own floating sunset party. Perfect for groups, celebrations, or just treating yourself to something memorable — I’d recommend this to anyone visiting Porto without hesitation. 10/10 experience ✨🍾
This private boat ride was so much fun! We had sparkling wine and crackers + jelly. We loved learning about the history of the area and enjoying the boat ride on such a gorgeous day!
Wonderful private boat trip with knowledgeable guide and great wine. Saw the six bridges. Very reasonable price
Such a great experience. Private river cruise that won't break the bank. Joan has a fantastic host and very knowledgeable. Gave us just the right amount of information while giving us our private time as well. Would highly recommend.
This was by far the best bridge tour. I researched A TON of the options and decided on this one and I was not disappointed. I felt sorry for the other people on different tours. This was beautiful, informative and personal. Can not recommend enough! Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!
This was the highlight of our trip to Porto! It was so fun to sit up on the front of the boat and the scenery was incredible. João and Manuel were warm and welcoming and gave us the perfect amount of info+time to relax and enjoy the ride. We would love to go again!
Wonderful and relaxing boat tour. Very informative and friendly hosts! Would highly recommend as a way to avoid large crowds and get an incredible view of the river and bridges! Also note save time to navigate rush hour to the marina- we were late due to stopped cars during our drive over to start the tour but they were able to wait for us. Would recommend taking the metro over and then catching a cab or Uber to the marina. Thank you for an amazing tour!
João was friendly and patient with us as we navigated to the dock. He gave us a wonderful tour of Portugal from the water and balanced great information while giving us plenty of time to simply enjoy the ride. We visited 6 bridges and managed to catch the sunset on the way back. Tip. Uber tends to navigate their drivers on the far side of the water which is blocked and the road is closed. Make sure to tell uber driver to drop you off above the marina otherwise you may be forced to walk 20 minutes to the pier.
Fantastic experience! João was incredibly kind and patient, especially since we were delayed by festival traffic. He was very communicative through WhatsApp, which was so helpful. His insights about Porto, Gaia, and the bridges made the tour so memorable. The sparkling wine and snacks were a lovely touch. Having the boat just for us felt truly special, much better than the big group tours. Highly recommend this company. Can’t wait to do it again when we return to Porto!
After a couple of days in Porto, we were ready for the river tour. We went private based on the reviews for this operator. We were looking for a more serene experience to truly enjoy the evening. We felt like valued guests on this boat- with complimentary drinks and a snack provided as well as blankets as the sun started to set. The girls and I took the beautiful views in and appreciated the iconic images of Porto from the river. My husband engaged the crew on the past and present and it was quite interesting. We passed other boats along the way which just made me happier that we were able to have the experience we wanted - no party boat, no big crowds… just a lovely evening.
This was the best thing we did in Porto. The boat was well maintained and expertly driven. Sara was a brilliant host and gave us just the right information about Porto and also allowed us to chat and enjoy the view with our drinks. She was a brilliant communicator before the trip as well and it ran like clockwork. They went over and above to help us as well and recommended a great place for lunch. They are a lovely team and would highly recommend this trip.
This was the best thing we did in Porto. The boat was very well maintained and expertly driven. Sara was a brilliant host. She gave us just the right amount of information about Porto but also allowed us to chat and enjoy the view and the drink. She was a brilliant communicator before the trip as well and it all ran perfectly. They went over and above to help us especially helping one of our group relocate her phone! Would highly recommend. They were a lovely team and it was a great trip.
The tour guide and boat captain were amazing. Both so knowledgeable and friendly. They truly made this experience great!
This was a very good tour. Jao was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. They perfectly timed the sunset. We would highly recommend the tour.
This private boat tour was a highlight of my family's trip to Porto. Sara was a wonderful guide who provided insightful information and interesting conversation during the tour. Her colleague João piloted the boat skillfully during the tour, navigating waves to keep the ride comfortable (I suggest you ignore the only non-5 star reviewer who felt the boat should have been going faster). Sara was prepared with blankets, which was nice when the temperature dropped during the tour and even more useful after a large wave splashed us; she and João were apologetic even though it was completely out of their control. There were 6 people in my group so the cost of this private experience was comparable to doing a large group tour of the six bridges. The tour was 90 minutes in duration, which I felt was just about right. I would highly recommend this tour.
What a way to spend an afternoon on the Douro River!! Had a fantastic time - loved every minute - great weather, great service
Increíble trip, I decided to ask my partner to marry me on this boat tour and the hosts were so incredibly accommodating. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more they were perfect in their communication and delivery.
The hosts are incredible, the Champagne was great and the sights are amazing. I can’t stress enough how nice Sara and João are. Considering it’s a private tour it’s simply the best option you have honestly. I am deeply satisfied (not affiliated with them either just really recommend it).
A fun and relaxing cruise down the Douro. The captain and Sara were super kind and friendly! We had our 2 boys (2 and 5) with us and they were so sweet to them! My 2 year old found a new friend in Sara and wouldn’t leave her alone lol. The wine and snacks provided were delicious and the views were amazing. 10/10 would recommend again. Thanks for the great time! Also would recommend eating at Casa Moreira afurada nearby!
Had an amazing time with Joan and the Naugit boat on the Douro River sunset cruise. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Comfortable boat with awesome service. The sparkling wine and snacks made the cruise very enjoyable and romantic. Great price and experience. Definitely recommend this service.
It was a great trip along the river to see the 6 bridges. Very relaxing and enjoyable. The wine they served was a sparkling white. I never drink wine but found the one they served quite good. They offered some bread with strawberry jam which was simple but good. I originally planned on doing the boat cruise on the traditional boats but am so glad I didn’t when I saw how packed with people they were and how fast they went up and down the river. It looked like they were in a race. I much preferred the slower pace and private experience. It got quite cold on the ride back so they gave us some blankets to use.
Fabulous experience, great way to relax and see the city from the Duoro River! Joao and team were awesome!
This was by far the highlight of my Porto trip! Beautiful ride, very nice staff, and a clean new boat! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Porto.
It was a perfect way to see Porto from the river without the crush of other tourists! Sara was delightful and knowledgeable and the sparkling wine was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this tour.
This is a nice relaxing boat trip, but definitely be prepared for a slow boat. The two people that drove the boat were lovely and very nice. I would say it was a little too relaxing/slow for me, but I was hoping for more of an adventure. Good for a nap though!
Excellent and highly recommend for touring Porto. Trip covered all the bridges in the Duro river. Crew was extremely helpful and friendly.
Wonderful service on the perfect boat cruise to see the river. Peaceful and lovely evening. Highly recommend this tour.
The hosts, Sara and Joao ( I’m sorry if I spelled name wrong..) were excellent!! They won’t overwhelm you with guiding, however if you have some questions they are really welcome to answer them and they are knowledgeable. We enjoyed sitting at front top of boat! I could tell Joao tried to sail boat calm as possible and I really appreciate that because I get sea sick easily. Sara and Joao both have kind smiles and make us comfortable. My mother loved their snack baskets and Sara even shared product infos with us through WhatsApp. Also, of course we enjoyed champagne they provided<3 They took all the way to boarder of Porto, went through all 6 bridges. The sunset was gorgeous!!! We had some great pictures too. Towards to end of cruise, it got colder but as soon as they saw it, there were blankets! Everything was perfect! Thank you for making our first time in Porto memories so special, Sara and Joao! We never forget this experience:)
Great experience, would recommend! Good communication, easy access to the pier and the ship. Great staff that went the extra mile to provide a unique afternoon. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed the scenery, the sunset, the sparkling wine, the whole experience.
My husband and I decided to book this cruise on a whim and thank the STARS we did! After spending a few weeks traveling the EU, a sunset cruise on the Ribeira do Porto was the perfect end to our trip. Key highlights: 1. Immaculate and comfortable, cruising boat. Once we were out of the marina, we were allowed to sit on the bow, which was an experience in itself. Once situated, Sara (our lovely hostess) provided a little basket with snacks and a bottle of champagne. Delightful. 2. Although not advertised, you pass by the six bridges, which is the selling point for most of the other tours, so you’re seeing all there is to see, but in an intimate, private setting, with a seasoned skipper who easily navigates the often bumpy waters. 3. (and the main reason for this review) our hosts: Sara and Joao. Guides/hosts can make or break an excursion. Fortunately for us, Sara and Joao are the definition of exceptional hosts; kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and TRULY invested in your experience. And as an introvert who is not one for small talk, I was nervous that I was in for 1.5 hrs of awkwardness given it was just the four of us, but there was ZERO awkwardness from the get-go. Sara and Joao leave you to do your own thing but are always at the ready if you have a question. In fact, I’m sure I went full-extrovert for most of the cruise because they were such a pleasure to talk to. All in all, we couldn’t have been more pleased with this experience and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.
Fabulous Trip, Fabulous Boat Team, very attentative, informative and great music too! Definitely to be Repeated!!
The boat ride was great! Amazing views of the city from the water and for a great price! Highly Recommend
I proposed to my girlfriend on this trip so I can only say good things about this trip, the service was very good
Our family of five had a fabulous time on the Douro River 1.5 hour boat trip with Joao and Manuel as our skippers! Beautiful views, knowledgeable staff, great experience for adults and kids of different ages.
What a extreme pleasure to discover Porto from the river being in a small group 🤩 We selected the latest slot ti take a chance with the sunset and here he was. Incredible moment offered by the driver to my whole family - that moment was magic and my teenagers were extremely happy to experienced it lying in the boat upfront. I can t say more than don’t hesitate to with them and enjoy.
A great experience from start to finish. We are a family of 5 with kids aged between 12-18 and everyone loved it. The two crew men were very pleasant and the nibbles and sparkling wine added to the ambiance! Sunset was glorious. We thoroughly recommend this company and tour.
We had the best time! The views were beautiful. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. Definitely a recommendation!
Sara and our captain were excellent hosts aboard their vessel. 3 coworkers and I enjoyed a beautiful sunset boat ride after a long final day of meetings during our work trip to Porto. The ride was relaxing and comfortable - we saw beautiful sites up and down the Douro river. Best part, it was private! Just our small group. They even treated us to bubbles and snacks. Highly recommend!!
I can’t even. If I could give 7 stars I would. Amazing views and experience. The skippers were amazing and thought of everything. Even had blankets for when it got cold once the sun set. Would absolutely recommend
Great boat tour with extremely friendly staff. Highly recommend for anyone considering using Naugit!
Delightful tranquility We went on a 5 PM cruise under the six bridges of Porto. This was naval weekend, so Porto was immensely crowded, and being on the boat with Sara and her crew mate was a very relaxing respite to see everything from the water. We walked from the old town along the Gaia side of the river, which took about an hour and a quarter, about 3 miles to the Porto marina. I would highly recommend this trip, especially in the late afternoon when the light is so pretty over the water.
